In order to reset the check engine light on a 2012 Ford Fusion, you can follow these steps. First, turn the key from the on position to off three times, then drive the car. The most effective method is to use a scan tool by plugging it into the car, which will clear any codes and reset the entire Engine Control Unit (ECU). An alternative method is to disconnect the battery under the hood for 10 minutes, then reconnect it. However, if the underlying issue is not addressed, the light will illuminate again once the error code is activated. It is highly recommended to address and fix the problem to prevent the check engine light from reappearing.
Put your key into the car's ignition, start the vehicle for a moment, then turn it off for a moment. Do this two more times before driving the car as usual.
Turn off oil indicator
Rayan S., thank you for your helpful and technical recommendation. I followed your advice by disconnecting and reconnecting the battery plugs for 10 minutes, and now the engine symbol has vanished.
That was unsuccessful.
Put your key in the car's ignition, start the vehicle for a moment, and then turn it off briefly.
