While having an anti-theft system and immobilizer in your vehicle is great technology to keep it safe, there may be times when they unintentionally lock you out, just as they would a potential thief. If your 2007 Ford Edge experiences this issue, you can perform a simple anti-theft reset to resolve it. Begin by entering the driver's side of the Edge with both the ignition key and remote in hand. Insert the key into the ignition cylinder and turn it from OFF to RUN eight times within ten seconds, finishing at the RUN position. Listen for the locks to engage after the eighth turn, then press and hold the UNLOCK button on your key fob. Keep holding until you hear the locks click again, which may take up to thirty seconds.
