Use the key FOB to unlock the doors, signaling the Engine Control Unit (ECU) to deactivate the immobilizer. If your car has been parked in a garage for some time and the battery has drained, it may not recognize the signals from the remote. To resolve this, charge the car's battery and try again. Simply inserting the key into the ignition and turning it to the ON position for about 10 seconds should deactivate any triggered alarms.
