To replace the cabin air filter in a 2013 Chevy Silverado, you'll need a 1/4-inch drive 7-millimeter socket and ratchet. Firstly, take out two 7-mm screws from the black plastic cover beneath the glove box. The initial screw is located on the right side next to the kick panel, while the second one is positioned near the firewall, almost directly below the glovebox handle. Gently lower the cover, noting that there's another screw near the transmission hump that can stay in place. Adjacent to the electrical connector on the left side, there's a 1/4-inch screw that needs to be unscrewed. After removing this screw, pull down the door to reveal the filter. The filter will be snug within the housing, so flex it back and forth to detach it. Simply follow the reverse steps to install the new filter.
