Resetting the PCM in a 2014 Ford Escape is a straightforward process that requires a socket wrench. To begin, open the hood and locate the lock nut on the negative battery cable connector. Remove the nut and disconnect the negative battery terminal. Allow approximately 20 minutes for the PCM to discharge any stored backup power. Once the power is fully drained, reattach the terminal, tighten the nut, and you're all set.
Pop open the hood of the Ford. Use a socket and ratchet to loosen the locking nut on the negative battery cable connector. Once it's loose, remove the connector from the negative battery terminal.
I followed your instructions, but the computer was not reset as desired.
