To deactivate the automatic high beams in a Ram 1500, use the knob on the dashboard to select either the standard high beams or auto high beams. Locate the button marked with an A and headlights symbol. The auto high beam feature activates the brighter lights during nighttime driving but turns them off automatically when approaching another vehicle from the front or back. This system uses cameras and light sensors to detect surrounding vehicles, preventing your bright lights from causing inconvenience to other drivers.
There's a button on the dashboard that allows you to manually change settings instead of relying on automatic mode.
