Coolant should be changed every 60,000 miles, while the air filter and spark plugs should be changed every 15,000 to 30,000 miles and 100,000 miles, respectively, unless using copper spark plugs which should be changed every 30,000 miles.
To turn off the check engine light on a 2012 Ford Escape, you can reset it by starting and stopping the engine a few times until it registers that everything is functioning correctly.
