There are three methods to reset the check engine light on a 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. One of the easiest ways is to use an OBD-2 scan tool to access and clear the trouble codes, which should turn off the reminder light temporarily. If you don't have a scan tool, you can disconnect the negative terminal of your battery for about thirty minutes, then reconnect it to clear the trouble codes and turn off the light. Another option is to remove the PCM IGN and PCM BAT fuses for around five minutes, then replace them to clear the codes and extinguish the light.
To clear the check engine light on a 2005 Chevy Trailblazer, find the fuse box under the hood in the engine bay. Take out the PCM IGN and PCM BAT fuses and wait for 5 minutes. Switch off the ignition, put the fuses back in, and the light should be reset.
