If you need to replace the starter on a 2015 Ford Escape, be prepared for a substantial amount of work. Initially, you will have to dismantle the front grille and most components in front of the engine compartment. The starter itself is situated at the front and bottom of the front hood. A new starter costs around $200, with labor costing about $300. Given the numerous items that need to be removed, it's advisable to visit a professional repair shop. Once you remove all the necessary components and access the starter, it is only secured by a couple of bolts. After removing them, the starter will come off, and then you can proceed with the replacement.
