I assume you have already bought a new camera for your 2017 Ford Expedition. If not, Master Tailgaters offers an OEM compatible part, FL1Z-19G490-B, commonly priced around $160. The wiring should already be in place from the rear of the vehicle to the front harness, so there's no need to worry about running cables, but make sure to check the voltages. You can keep the existing wires in place around the trunk liner. Unscrew the two T20 Torx screws securing the driver's side tail light, and it will come out easily, giving you access to the camera. If there's no pre-existing molex, you may have to solder the wires for the new camera. Essentially, you're just replacing the part, matching the wire colors, and then reversing the process to reinstall the light.
