It's not as simple as Gary thinks. Ellis did it correctly, you just need to do the steps in reverse order once you've put in the battery. For example, put back the filter housing, filter, and so on.
To replace the battery in a 2014 Ford Escape, start by taking off the brackets. Next, disconnect the cables and give them a good cleaning. Remove the old battery and swap it with a new one. Reconnect the battery cables and then reattach the brackets.
To get started, take off the air cleaner assembly first. After that, take out the red retainers and unfasten the clips securing the air assembly to access the top part. You should now see the battery, which you can conveniently replace by taking out the old one and inserting the new one in its place.
