The 2016 BMW X5 does come equipped with a spare tire stashed in the car beneath a panel in the cargo area. To access it, you'll need to lift the panel up by locating the seam where it's connected to the car. It might be tucked under the carpet, so be sure to pull it up. Underneath the panel, you'll find the spare tire, along with the lug wrench and jack. If you have to replace a tire, you can temporarily store the flat one here until you get a new one. Avoid driving on the spare tire for extended periods as it's not designed for long use.
