Who knows

The BMW trouble code p112f indicates that there is too much pressure in the manifold compared to the throttle angle in Bank 1. This issue is often the result of a faulty vacuum line in the vehicle. A vacuum leak can be triggered by various factors, with the most common being damage to the hose within the system. If the hose has a hole or is deteriorated, it will leak. It is also typical for the connection points to deteriorate, leading to leaks where the hose connects to other components. Furthermore, if there are problems with the intake manifold, the hose may leak from there. These issues can cause the vehicle to shake and shudder during both idle and driving, putting strain on the engine and potentially causing it to malfunction. Replacing the hose is a relatively straightforward task; the challenge lies in locating the source of the leak.

Can you tell me the location of the P112F code?

Typically, the P112F code indicates a vacuum leak in one of the hoses or their connections to other hoses or the manifold. While these leaks may be hard to spot, a common method for detecting them is to spray carburetor cleaner or map sensor cleaner along each hose while the vehicle is running. If the engine idle shifts, that’s where the leak is. Replace the hose and reset the check engine light.

Heck yeah, it worked! I've been on the hunt forever for a leak in my car. Finally found it where the catalytic converter meets the muffler - covered in black soot. I fixed it by applying Permatek seal and letting it cure for 4 hours. Then I sprayed some heat-resistant silicone, and it did the trick. Before the fix, my car was making a louder noise, had a slight misfire, and even threw a code. But once I sealed it up, the noise went back to normal and the code disappeared.
