In American terms, when you see the Volkswagen code 00300, that indicates a problem with the transmission fluid temperature sensor. This sensor checks the temperature of the transmission fluid, and if the temperature is too low, it will prevent the overdrive and converter clutch from working properly. This code means that the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) won't be able to manage the transmission shifts, leading to shifting problems. Typically, this issue is caused by a damaged wire or a corroded pin in the connector. You can find the sensor on the side of the transmission near the front. To fix it, you'll need to disconnect the electrical connector, and there's one bolt that secures it in place that you'll need to remove.
The VW error code 00300 indicates an intermittent implausible signal from the transmission fluid temperature sensor, numbered 27-10.
