In certain vehicles like the 2014 Honda Pilot, manufacturers typically program a security code into the car's stereo system. If the car is stolen and the radio is taken out, the car will automatically lock itself and will not function until the security code is entered. Obtaining the security code is straightforward: simply press and hold the 1 and 6 buttons on the Pilot's radio at the same time. Continue holding the buttons until a 10-digit number appears on the radio screen. Write down this number and store it in a safe place. If you misplace the code, only an authorized auto shop, dealership, or the manufacturer can unlock the car.
Trying to hold both 1 and 6 was not successful.
You can retrieve the 10-digit security pin for the 2014 Honda Pilot by simultaneously pressing the radio buttons 1 and 6.
If your car doesn't have a custom radio installed, push and hold the power button on the radio for 2-3 seconds. But, if you have an aftermarket head unit, you'll need a code found on a card in your glove compartment. If that card is lost, a dealership can provide you with the necessary code.
Pressing both the 1 and 6 buttons at the same time did not display a 10-digit code.
Personal identification number for security.
Good afternoon. On May 8th, I was looking for a solution to the problem where my car started beeping after I changed the battery. The solution was to lock it completely (including the engine cover) and then unlock it using the key, not the buttons. As for the PIN code issue, pressing buttons 1 and 6 simultaneously didn't work for my car. I was able to reset it by holding down the power or volume button on the radio for a few seconds. And for the woman who says the 2014 Honda Pilot is a piece of junk, maybe yours was faulty, but mine has been working perfectly for nearly 10 years without any issues. Of course, I take good care of it.
This 2014 Honda Pilot is just constantly breaking down, always something going wrong with it!
