The code "WB 172" doesn't tell you the paint color for Ford vehicles. When looking at your VIN sticker, read it from left to right, not top to bottom. If you see "WB 172" under "EXT PNT," it means a 172-inch wheelbase, not a paint code. The paint code is actually located to the right of the identifier, not underneath. In the unusual event that you have WB paint, it's likely Ford's "performance white" or "frozen white" from some aftermarket brands. This type of paint doesn't come with a number. In newer Ford models, the paint code was eliminated from the VIN stickers to avoid confusion.
The Ford paint designation WB172 is used to refer to the color frozen white.
