In your Dodge Ram 2500, the TPMS "Light Load" reset switch lets you switch between tire pressures and TPMS warning levels for Light Load and Max Load vehicle conditions. The switch can be found below the climate control panel in the instrument panel. Adjusting the TPMS "Light Load" reset switch allows you to set the appropriate low-pressure warning thresholds based on your vehicle's load condition. Avoid using the Light Load inflation pressure settings if you have more than two occupants (150 lbs each) and 200 pounds of cargo in your vehicle.

The light load button on the Dodge Ram 2500 indicates that the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) has detected low tire pressure.

In the 2008 2500 model, you can activate the light load button to lower the back tire pressure to 45 psi while keeping the front tires at 70 psi to avoid triggering the tire light indicator. Regarding weight capacity, the figures of 200 lbs and 300 lbs for passengers are well within the limits for an 8-ply tire.
