Wow! What a looker. This was a special build at client request, but even we were delightfully surprised at how strong it turned out. The truck started with and excellent body and interior; totally rust-free and no accidents. We redid all the exterior trim to restore the like-new look. Of course, since it was a late Disco with the highly problematic 4.6l V*, we pulled the engine out and did a complete re freshening with all new bearings and gaskets, lifters, and valve seals, new timing chain and oil pump. The block was tested for leaks and cracks and after receiving "top hat" liners to cure any leaking cylinders, all cylinder liners were "pined" to the block to prevent failure and overheating in the future. On installation, we added all new water hoses, thermostat (lo temp OEM), water pump, coils, wires, plugs and injector seals. All fluids and filters were renewed with OEM quality and Shell Rotella T oil. The front driveshaft was replaced. Also, several door lock actuators and window lifts were replaced. A new windshield was installed and the loose A-pillar covers properly attached. Then the real fub began: a 3" Terrafirma lift kit (springs and shocks) was installed along with all new brakes. Then a very aggressive set of 33" General Grabber AT3 were slapped on black Hurricanes for the ultimate in off-road capability. Windows were deep tinted and a special front bumper look was created by painting the bumper end caps in the same textured satin finish as the bumper center and the wheel flares.
