Having been a Volvo owner once, then switching to VW, then turning in my "defective VW", I was relieved to return to Volvo. The Volvo of the Triad has gone to all lengths to keep me happy and welcome me back as a satisfied customer. The no-pressure, tag-team sales force is a pleasure, and the lack of "Competitive" sales between the team members means anyone will pinch hit for another. Ben Humphreys helped when my first sales person Thomas Wells, was out. Thomas Wells ( and Ben)were fantastic, relaxed, service minded and honest. I'd recommend Thomas, even Ben too, any time. When I finally drove my car off the lot, Thomas even helped me take it to a friend's garage in another community for a brief storage. They go out of their way, remember your name, and are consistent throughout the Volvo ownership experience.

I have purchase vehicles from The Volvo of the Triad in the past. I have had great experiences. However, I specifically requested NOT to exceed over two Financial Institutions when my application was submitted. The sales person documented my request and advised Mr. Robin personally. While I was in the process of completing the paperwork, I questioned '' How many banks were submitted my application "?. He advised Ms. Satter three.The following day I checked my credit report and observed that he had submitted nine loan requests, which created a negative 22 on my credit score. I would recommend potential buyers ONLY because Ameer Watkins and Josh York are the only two individuals I feel competent and professional. I would also recommend that they DON'T allow management the authorization to find a bank approve the loan. No one should have the authority to abuse another individuals credit for a quota. Its unprofessional , misleading, and untrustworthy. Management should lead by example, not by lies.

After obtaining my fourth Volvo, I can once again say I was provided with excellent service from the staff at Volvo of the Triad. It is so nice to go into a dealership, tell the sales person, JOSH YORK, what you want and actually get the vehicle with very little hassle....make that "no hassle." Joshua was the most knowledgeable sales person I have ever dealt with . He know the Volvo inside and out and that is great. Les Young is a top notch general manager and always has a word to his to all of his customers. James Fordham, finance is easy to work with and knows his job well. I came in for a oil change and asked for tires to be rotated, $20 for rotation, no problem, I leave and get on highway and car has the tremors, steering wheel shakes at 60 miles an hour, I come back and was told I need them balanced, extra 40 dollars, disappointed they don't tell you this and charge extra. Will not come back once Warrenty ends. And their attitude was non caring.

My husband and I had an amazing experience trading in our old Volvo sedan and upgrading to a Volvo SUV. Ameer and James were professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. I live in WV but found Volvo of the Triad using the USAA car buying service. Scott Roten followed up with our inquiry about an XC90 and literally walked the lot with his cell phone to help me find what I wanted! He immediately offered to deliver the car--4 hours. (We contacted a dealership in OH through the same USAA service because it was closer--- but they didn't offer to deliver the vehicle until we told them we were buying elsewhere.) The entire process with Volvo of the Triad has been seamless. Scott spent time showing us how to use the car and its features and made himself available for questions if we have any. I think he washed the car AGAIN once he got to WV! Don't waste time with other dealers. This group is your final destination.

I'm 'old school' and freely admit it. I investigated several dealerships, checked client reviews and even pressed myself on Volvo drivers to enquire about their experience/satisfaction. Volvo of the Triad was given high marks from a three-time owner of Volvos from this dealership and she lived in Chapel Hill. Emails followed and personal visit/tour/test drive resulted in my purchase. I can count on one hand - exceptional car-buying experiences - this was one of them.

What a dream, usually purchasing a vehicle becomes a nightmare for me, but not this time. The staff at Volvo of the Triad.......I can't say enough about the professionalism Ameer Watkins extended to me and his extensive knowledge of the vehicles. I was looking to buy a specific Volvo and they had several in stock. I was offered a fair price for my trade in that was within the estimate KBB and NADA stated my vehicle was worth in it's condition. The salesman Ben Humphrey was a very nice and knowledgeable young man. I new what I wanted to pay for the vehicle based upon my research and they met my requirements. I did not have to shop here, I chose to shop here because several years ago my wife and I broke down in our old Volvo on a weekend and they fixed our car for free and got us back on the road. They didn't know us and we didn't even buy our car from them. That says a lot about the people that work there,

The XC90 we bought from Volvo of the Triad was our first luxury vehicle purchase. We contacted the dealership before we drove out and met Thomas as soon as we parked. Volvo of the Triad had more XC90s than any other dealership, so they gave us the best opportunity to find the options and colors we had in mind. Thomas was amazing to work with: he was patient, frank, and genuine. He walked us through the XC90 options on site and took us on an extended test drive. When we sat down to talk numbers, we felt like everything was on the table: we knew our price, and felt respected in the decisions we made to reject and, finally, accept their offer. I initially felt like I was getting the runaround at my local Volvo dealership. After giving them a day or so to agree on things, I called Volvo of the Triad. I spoke with Salem Kirby and the initial numbers she gave me were better than the numbers I received from my local dealership (and I never mentioned those numbers to her). We negotiated completely over the phone and agreed on numbers very quickly and without pressure. It was not just the numbers that put me at ease, but the fact that she made the process feel very transparent. There were no games, which is what I was trying to avoid. Once I arrived (I live about 1.5 hours away), I did not have a bad interaction with anyone. William Robertson took me for a test drive and taught me everything I could ever want to know about the vehicle. It was obvious he knew the product extremely well. My experience with James in finance was great. It was very straight forward, no pressure. The electronic system to sign the paperwork was a nice touch as well. Overall, a great experience with a great dealership. I will certainly be going back for my next vehicle.

First I should say that I hate car shopping. The reason being that it is a totally awkward experience. I hate being preyed upon by a sales staff that will say anything to make sure to close the deal. At Volvo of the Triad I found a staff that was confident in their product and happy to let me fall-in-love with the car on my own. I truly felt like I was on a test drive with a friend I had known for years. There was honesty and frankness in the experience that was a breath of fresh air compared to other dealerships I have been to. I recommend this dealership and my sales specialist, Thomas Wells, to anyone searching for a car who wants to be treated like a person and not an ATM machine.

I recently purchased a pre-owned Chevrolet Suburban from Ben Humphrey at Volvo of the Triad. This was one of the most pleasant and best experiences that I have ever had. Ben was great to work with on my trade in, and he tried hard to get me a good deal. I came in with cash in had, knew what I wanted to pay, and we found middle ground and made it work. They really went the extra mile. Ben personally put extra attention into the preparation of the vehicle and delivered it to me (250 miles away) himself, on his day off. Was very interested in the Volvo XC90, but our local dealership did not have the same variety of inventory. I happened to find the vehicle I wanted at Volvo of the Triad, but was hesitant since it was almost 90 miles away. Salem Kirby put me at ease right away - straight, to the point, no pressure. Once I weighed the great deal with truly top notch customer service, I was sold. At the dealership, Mac Macon did an excellent job of walking me through the vehicle's features. When my old car didn't appraise as expected, it was a bit of a bummer, but Mac went above and beyond and drove my old car back to my house, where I then got the offer I wanted.

My wife and I nearly gave up on the Volvo brand. Despite having over 14 years worth of Volvos and well over 200k miles in our family in Volvos, Volvo of Cary and Weaver Brothers were enough to have us looking at other makes to replace our XC60.Thankfully, my wife spotted a used XC90 on Volvo of the Triad's website and we got in touch with Scott Roten there. Scott understood that we were 90 minutes away and we were able to quickly work out a very fair deal based on information we mutually agreed upon. It was quick and easy to arrive at terms on Tuesday.On Thursday morning, we took the 90 minute ride out to the dealership. We were immediately impressed by the clean, open, modern show room and Scott had our car cleaned and ready for a test drive. After a quick, simple process, we all decided to proceed with the deal. No pressure, no hassle, not last-minute BS, just a pleasurable experience.James was also a pleasure to work with and the digital tools he uses to close the documentation made everything quick and simple. Moreover, it gave us confidence we wouldn't have any errors or last-second issues.I honestly can't say enough about how much better the experience was at Volvo of the Triad. Scott told us he wanted to earn our business and every single person in that building lived up to that promise of EARNING the business. Usually I dread the car buying process but our sales person Ken Teetor and the rest of the staff at Volvo of the Triad made it a more enjoyable, less stressful experience. This is the second Volvo that I have purchased from Volvo of the Triad. I traded my 2015 Volvo XC60 for recently for a 2016 XC60 because the offer that Volvo provided was too good to pass up. This will be the fourth Volvo that I have owned; the other two were purchased when I lived in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. The service that I received from William Robertson and Salem Kirby at this dealership was outstanding. I truly love the 2016 Volvo because it has some features that were not on the 2015 model. You will not regret buying from Volvo of the Triad!

This has been the worst experience I have ever had. Dishonest and deceptive. Advertised and priced the vehicle with DVD players. Once I arrived, was told the vehicle had never had DVD players....I have the pictures to prove otherwise. I negotiated a price and purchased the xc 70. Got the vehicle home and found many, many options on the vehicle did not work properly. Called the dealership and was promised the repairs would be made. (New DVD players were installed and an apology was extended ) Three weeks after I was told the car would be picked up, I was told I had slipped through the cracks and my Volvo would be picked up and returned within 4 business days. Two weeks later, my car was returned NOT FIXED!!!! The car has just been returned to me after the 3rd trip back to the dealership. Guess what? NOT FIXED!!!!!!! And the owner of the dealership "promised" it would be repaired and I had his word for it. I made this purchase the week before Christmas and they have had my car more weeks than I have! BUY at your own risk! Many may say they have had a good experience, but I can tell you this has been a nightmare!!! Free valet service is not worth this nightmare!UPDATE: Because of many issues and problems with the 2009 XC70 purchased from Volvo of the Triad, I decided the best option for me was to trade the car. I went to a different dealership and after an appraisal was done on the car and the carafe reviewed, it was determined the car had been wrecked! Ameer told me the scratch on the front bumper had come from the driver allowing the vehicle to roll forward in the drive thru of a McDonalds and the car had never been wrecked. I was told the driver's side window would not work properly because tinting it had warped it! That was a lie. The lies go on and on. I had to take a huge loss in order to unload the car. I willingly lost thousands of dollars to be rid of this nightmare. Kudos to those who have had a good experience.....but my advice is steer clear of Volvo of the Triad.

I recently used the valet service to have my car picked up for the 10,000 mile maintenance. I love using the valet service because I live an hour away from the dealership. Both drivers were friendly and professional, and the service was excellent. I especially enjoyed talking to Dayle about what's new and on the horizon for Volvo! I highly recommend Volvo of the Triad for sales and service.

My husband and I had an excellent experience with the purchase of our new Volvo. Our Sales Rep, Josh York, strived to go above and beyond in order for us to drive home a new car, and he did an outstanding job at that. The Sales Manager and Finance Officer did an outstanding job as well in order to get us in a new Volvo. I have past experience with Volvo of the Triad, and I have never been disappointed with their customer service. I feel they do what it takes at making sure their customer's have the best experience. This means a lot in todays time, were exceptional customer service is few, far, and in between. My husband and I left Volvo of the Triad very satisfied. The one thing that I noticed as soon as I walked inside their building was a very welcoming feeling, in which I have felt this way before in my past experience with them. I have already told 4 people about my car buying experience with Volvo of the Triad and how satisfied I was. I will defiantly be back in the future to purchase my next Volvo from Volvo of the Triad. I've been leasing and buying cars for 30 + yrs. and have never had an easier more straight forward experience than I had here yesterday. They really made the process effortless. Salem promptly returned my call, asked me what I was looking for and couldn't live without in the car, and said she would call me back in five minutes, which she did, with an offer that surprised me. She was courteous, professional, sweet, straight, offered me a great deal right out of the gate. I normally pit several dealers against each other, but she made me an offer I couldn't refuse on an S60 Inscription over the phone. She read me right, knew I was serious, knew that I knew the leasing game, and made the right offer to me. No haggling, no hours in the dealership.The whole dealership was a delight to deal with. This was my first big purchase. I have been looking for cars for about 4 months and dealing with dealerships has not been a pleasant experience. They were like vultures and would stray against the cars I wanted. It was a very stressful experience for me. I expected this dealership to be the same but however it was not. I knew exactly what I wanted and Dayle Eason made the process smooth. He made a personal connection to us and answered all of our questions, which made us feel comfortable instead of stressed. I am always welcomed and well-taken care of when I visit. From Rob Satter, Sr. to the salespeople to the receptionist to the service manager, GM, service techs, etc. all are very nice and accommodating. Communication is always excellent. I've been in a lot of showrooms and dealerships in my time, and none are as friendly and professional as Volvo of the Triad. The details and explanations are always covered. And the features/tech expert does an amazing job of teaching me all the gadgets and options on my car. Brought my S80 to Volvo of the Triad after Volvo of Charlotte could not eliminate a noise in my suspension after multiple attempts. The noise was determined to be faulty struts which were replaced under warranty. This is the second time Volvo of the Triad solved a nagging issue with this car. I would rather not travel so far for great service, but it is worth the time and trouble to get things done correctly.

On our very first visit to the dealership to explore a Volvo, we were very fortunate to have been greeted immediately upon our arrival by Scott Osborne. He introduced himself and maintained professionalism at the same time was able to bring a comfort to us in his friendly approachable manner. He never appeared to be in a hurry or "pushy" as too many times sales folks get labeled with that action.We have since met several other folks in managerial positions and they have met our expectations. Oh, nothing but 5 stars for my recent visit, and ALL my visits to Volvo of the Triad. I have bought 5 cars from these folks. Nothing but the BEST of treatment and the BEST of service and the BEST sales representatives. I have dealt with these folks since 2003. They are so fine ALWAYS. Even though the personnel may change, their is such CONSISTENCY in their HIGH standard of care. Oh, and they remember me!!! I go in and they say... hello Jana. Good to see you. They actually remember personal details about me. Too sweet. I just love the gal that does the paperwork, Darla. So special. ALL of the sales associates I have worked with in making my purchases have been SUPER. Bob, Andrew, James...they are the best. Oh, and the owner always comes out an peaks to me. First the sales staff was excellent (Scot Osborne, Salem Kirby, and others). I wound up buying two Volvo S60 (bought a new one for daughter, but then liked it so much, that I bought a 2012 model for myself). Subsequent to purchase, I had reasons to come back to the dealer for some issues and questions. Everything was handled very professionally. The service and parts staff were very courteous and helpful. I felt like I was dealing with a first rate organization. I am very happy with the total experience (really like the car, purchasing process was very pleasant, and service experience thus far has been first rate).

Salem Kirby was amazing as was her boss, Ken Teetor. Salem was brand new and she knew more about her products than other Volvo dealers we had worked with locally and nationally. I am a car guy and it was a pleasure to not have someone flub or fake their way through the sale--and she knew when to ask for help if she didn't have the answer. She did not waste our time!!They not only leased us a 2015 XC60 at a great price but they also service our 2013 S60 which was purchased at another dealer out of state. The Valet Pickup and Loaner is incredible. The free washes excellent and the after sales was outstanding.

Disappoint experience. Finance manager said they would not submit financing through their lender if we left and got better financing. We did get our own financing, but the finance manager DID submit financing through their own bank too (I am sure to receive a kickback or bonus). Their lender charged us interest to pay off the loan, and the dealership has not reimbursed us for that. Also, we heard constantly about their 200 and something point inspection on their cars. Once we bought a used S40, the rear window would not roll down b/c the motor in it was broken. Their reply, "Sorry, it's not under warranty but we will fix for $450." Shady dealings, bad experience, not trustworty, would not recommend.

We went in to look at a possible trade in for a used car from Allen. We recently had purchased a used Toyota for our granddaughter, and was well pleased with how Allen served our needs. A warranty was going to be an important factor with a new purchase. So Allen took us to look at a 2013 S60 new. If we purchased a new car, it was going to be the 7th Volvo we had purchased plus the Toyota, since 1997. Obviously we have been well pleased with the service we have received from Volvo of the Triad in the years past. With Allen's great help on the trade in, a 2005 XC90, we were able to make the deal. Now we have a 2013 S60. Allen Porter gave us great help. After the deal was made, he was so helpful in transferring everything from one car to the other. Allen kept looking for ways to be sure that we was pleased. And we are well pleased.

After being involved in a car accident, we recently purchased a vehicle from Volvo of the Triad. Our decision was made solely on how safe the car was and once our sales consultant Allen went over all of the safety features of the car, we were sold! I have entered all '5s' for volvo of the Triad has earned each the highest in each category.We bought our 4th Volvo for the two same reasons we bought our 1st one: First of all, we are interested in Volvo for safety primarily. I would prefer to drive a small 74 Super Beetle VW if the truth were known. But safety is paramount. Secondly, Volvo is also a ecology minded manufacturer and designer. We looked at Prius, CRV and other Hybrids but went with an XC60 Volvo after confirming that Volvo is still designed and manufactured the same way they always have been, that being with a Nordic concern for the environment.Thirdly, is price. Being a Loyal Customer and trading in a car which Volvo of the Triad has serviced since we purchased it there, the price was very competitive. Our first Volvo purchased from Volvo of the Triad was the most competitively priced in the middle of NC and also in Columbia, SC. In general, regarding Volvo of the Triad, I rated all '5s' because we have learned to completely trust the Service Department at Volvo of the Triad; I was reared in a house where we did not trust the Dealers to service our cars, mind.Regarding friendliness, sincerity and trustworthiness is the foundation. After 10 years of servicing 3 cars, I can say I would trust the Service Manager completely. Beyond Friendliness: One of our children drove a car to rural New York. She hit a huge pot hole that ripped out the oil pan. She called me and I called the Volvo of the Triad Service Manger. He asked if he could directly coordinate the repair and such with her including interfacing with any mechanics she needed to speak with; what a relief that was. Note: we also bought a used 10 year old Volvo from Volvo of the Triad with 119K miles for our daughters in High School and College. It still is reliable and solid. It was a car that the Service Manager knew and had serviced as per schedule (had all the records).

Great experience. My salesman was friendly, knowledgeable and easy to work with. I never felt pressured, frustrated or confused. He really knew his stuff and help me make an informed decision. Plus, there was an unbeatable incentive going on at the dealership that no other dealer in town could match. I would 110% recommend Bradley and Volvo of the Triad.

My wife was in the market for a new vehicle. Having owned three Volvo's in the past we've always been pleased. We looked at some newer models of Volvo and also vehicles from other manufacturers but thanks to our experience with Andrew and Volvo of the Triad we she decided to stay with them. Andrew worked really hard to maintain our business but at no point did we feel pressured. He and the sales staff were very accommodating and flexible. They even delivered the vehicle to our home and personally gave my wife a tutorial of the vehicle right in our own driveway. I would highly recommend Andrew Robin and Volvo of the Triad to others.

Car went in for service and Ameer Watkins called offering a great deal on a 2013 XC90. We took him up on the great offer. Bradley delivered the car to us in Raleigh, NC - 2 hours from Winston Salem. (FYI - there is a big Volvo dealership 15 minutes from my house but I use a dealership 2 hours away - THAT should tell everyone something!) They have a super service department - Jasmine you are awesome. As well as Billy in the mobile unit that comes to MY house to service.This is my second XC90 from Volvo of the Triad - I am a customer for life! I admire the way Volvo of the Triad is run. Good people, all committed to an uncommon vision of total customer service. Honestly I never look forward to buying a car. I am no expert and it is hard to fight for a deal when you are up against the masters of negotiation. However, the team at Volvo of the Triad made it a pleasurable experience. I was initially very impressed by Andrew's professionalism, knowledge of the brand and commitment to the vision of total customer service. I felt assured that even if the worst happened with the new car, I would be taken care of. I needed that assurance as I am new to Volvo. Ashley was a great help, especially with my wife who I know felt more comfortable with her on the test drive. I also enjoyed working with her. Chris Carter was great to deal with on the back end (very cool - put me at ease). Immanuel's (the service tech's) honesty was greatly appreciated and immediately took the edge off of my curiosity by shooting straight with me regarding my questions about things that I might expect to deal with over the life of the car. So far so good on the car. I am happy with the quality of the Volvo, although it is very different than the Acura I used to drive. I feel very confident that if anything happens Volvo of the Triad will stand behind their product (as I bought a 2008 model). They have several programs outside the standard certified warranty to ensure customers are cared for, such as free roadside assistance for life. To me that makes a big difference in the way I feel driving this car. I am a very satisfied customer. In the cut throat market of car sales, this dealership certainly has an uncommon customer friendly approach.I encourage all buyers to do your homework before you go in there so you are prepared. However, do consider the importance of the team you will be working with during and after the sale. Also, consider that a good vehicle is worth a premium and they do a great job to find the very best vehicles for their inventory. They are not the cheapest dealership, but the quality of product and their uncommon approach to serving their customers is well worth every penny you will pay.

Les and the entire staff at Volvo of the Triad are some of the most genuinely nice folks we have every dealt with as it pertains to purchasing vehicles. The positive attitudes of not only the sales force but also the men and women in service is second to none. I know when I take one of our vehicles in the girls in sales will meet me with a smile a good morning and a positive attitude. As a customer maintaining a good relationship after the sales is most important. Volvo of the Triad works hard at continuing the relationship after the sale and that is what brings us back.

I called ahead of time regarding a specific vehicle. They asked if I would be willing to make 70 mile drive to visit their dealership. I did make the drive. Soon after I arrived there, my employer called me and needed me to go to work (it was a Saturday). I told salesman that I had to leave within 2 hours, by 3:15. They were quick and efficient from demonstration to closing the deal. I drove my new car off the lot at exactly 3:15.

When looking to purchae my new Volvo I emailed inventory requests to several dealers in my area. I only received a response back from two. I received timely response to my request. Throughout my purchase process I was treated with a friendly approach and full transparency when it came to the financial end of my transaction.

I would recommend Volvo of the Triad to all my friends. While my experience with them has had a few minor hiccups(as with any long-term relationship), I have been extremely please with their response to all of my concerns and to all of my service needs. Most recently, after a service visit I noticed that the service technicians had forgotten to reset my service alert indicator. I contacted Jasmine in the service department and asked her if I could do it myself. She emailed me instructions on how to reset it but after a number of tries I was unsuccessful. I contacted her again and she sent out a mobile service technician named Billy to reset the alert for me. He came out after he had clocked out of work and took care of it for me. I was impressed that they would send someone out to my home just to reset a service alert light and that Billy would come out after getting off work. Awesome service!

I was reared to NOT trust the dealer when it comes to cost and reliability. We have bought used and new Volvo cars from Volvo of the Triad. I trust the repairs and maintenance completely. Once, my very young daughter's car hit a huge pot hole and ripped a hole in the oil pan in rural NY. I asked Joe Williams for advice. He coached my daughter through the ordeal and even spoke directly to a nearby mechanic for her. My personal volvo has 260,000 miles and I drive it 400 miles with confidence every week. I can recommend this team without reservation.

Volvo of the Triad is the #1 Volvo Dealership in the nation and for good reason. They have the best service plan we have ever heard of. We will never need AAA again. That, along with their excellent customer service, sold us on purchasing from them. They gave us a fair price on our trade in and worked with us to set up a price within our budget. We love our Volvo and they stand behind their cars with a 12 month, 12000 mile warranty for used vehicles that can even be extended for up to 5 add'l years. We are Volvo of the Triad for life!

The employees at Volvo of the Triad make it their mission to make customers their Number 1 priority. My family is driving our second Volvo and do not plan to purchase/lease any othertype of vehicle. The Volvo Family is the greatest. We had the pleasure of working when Brad when purchasing our 2nd Volvo, financing with Les and follow up maintenance with Chad. Our experience with Volvo of the Triad has been a wonderful experince.Our salesperson, Brad, really helped us in making a decision when leasing our 2nd Volvo. Whenever we come in for service, it is nice that Brad makes a point of speaking to us. Love our Volvo dealership!!!

I only drive a Volvo and I only go to this dealership because I trust this extradordinary group of people who are competent, fair, polite, courteous and immediately responsive to my requests and/or concerns. I've taken my mother to the maintenance department for her own car repair because I knew the car problem would be permanently fixed and also that she would be treated with kindness and respect. Whenever I purchase a new car, I go to Volvo of the Triad, and I have never-- since Rob Satter, Sr., took it over--- never been disappointed.

It was such a pleasure to have a knowledgeable,fantastic FEMALE salesperson who from initial greeting, throughout the trade-in/sales process was amazing! I recently purchased a pre-owned Volvo from Andrew Robin. He was very helpful, knowledgeable, not the least bit pushy and answered all of my questions, making my experience hassle free and comfortable. I would recommend Andrew (and Volvo of the Triad) to anyone without reservation, and I plan to return to the dealership when it's time to make my next purchase.

We have a 2011 XC 90 and bought the car from another dealership because we had a negative experience with the sales team at Volvo of the Triad, but since we live in winston, have taken our car to volvo of the triad for routine maintenance. We have been very disatisfied with their service team as well, from quality of work to just plain dishonesty. being told that things were fixed that have not been fixed and picking up our car with oil footprints and ink marks on leather seats that were not present prior to drop off. It is hard to believe someone when they tell you the will make it right, but wont look you in the eyes. Volvo of the triad is a sad excuse for a dealership that is supposedly so highly rated. Think twice before purchasing and if you must use for service, make sure to double check for any mishaps!!!

So, I was warned by a few local people and friends to not buy a car from Volvo of the Triad, and I readily took that advice - the stories I heard were some of the worse - and bought my Volvo elsewhere. However, I thought: what is the harm in going to get routine maintenance check-up? Well, the harm was handing my perfect vehicle over to a very careless and negligent staff. My car that ran perfectly fine started to have very odd troubles just a few days out; after a couple of weeks, and a new rotten egg smell inside, my car died. I opened the hood to find a rag that was covering part of the device used to cool the battery. Ok, simple right? I called the dealership to let them know that one of their mechanics left a rag in a critical place. They did not deny this; instead, service manager, Joe Williams, insisted that it was not a big deal and would not have any impact on the battery. After getting a second, third...and fifth opinion, it was obvious that the rag did cause the issues with the battery and perhaps a larger issue, like the catalytic converter. They refused to fix what they had broken unless we paid for it, which I did not want to have to pay for their carelessness. After speaking with the GM, Rob Satter - also the owner's son - he agreed with Joe Williams. He was oblivious to the fact that his workers ultimately made a cavalier mistake, and he felt no accountability to fix it, nor ensure that the damage has not gone beyond the battery. I implore you to really heed these negative reviews as warning: Volvo of the Triad is NOT a reputable dealership, and they want your money not your loyalty. Reading some of the positive reviews makes me wonder if someone at their facility has to write them to counter all of the negative responses that they get. I don't know anyone locally who has anything positive to say about them. They have let me down as a customer, and may have ruined my first car.

When we were ready to purchase a car, we knew we wanted a Volvo - having been a Volvo owner for the past 10 years. We visited Volvo of the Triad with the intent to buy a new S80, however, after over 2 hours of negotiating - we walked out of the dealership. I don't understand why the process has to be so painful with the back and forth phone calls to the "manager" and "let's see if I can get a better price" nonsense. We made it clear what we were interested in and what we wanted to spend - if it can't be done... fine, just don't have us waste our time if we can't get what we need within the price range we can afford. Interesting enough, after we left the shop, sure enough someone from Volvo left us a voice message to let us know they would like to do business with us and they could get us the price we were looking for. Too late!!! We purchased a new S80 at Crown Volvo of Greensboro and it was a wonderful experience. It's hard to believe that 2 Volvo dealerships within a 30 mile radius could be so different. Crown Volvo most definitely has our business and our loyalty moving forward - even though Volvo of the Triad is much more convenient for us. Volvo of the Triad - very disappointing experience!

In over 40 years of car buying and service both in the US and overseas for new and used vehicles and numerous makes and models, Volvo of the Triad is THE BEST dealership with whom I have ever dealt. They offer exceptional value both in service and sales. Their customer service is unparalleled. They are honest, relaible, and responsive. I seldom if ever endorse retail companies, but every chance I get I endorse Volvo of the Triad to my colleagues and others for automotive sales and service.I live over 2 hours away from their location and have a local Volvo dealer within 10 miles of my home. I choose to deal with Volvo of the Triad because they are that much better. If someone needs a case study for "How to Provide Exceptional Customer Service" egardless of their product / service, I'd tell them to visit this company. They always deliver! *** This dealership is now known as Volvo of the Triad ***Please take my advice and avoid Volvo of the Triad at all costs. My wife and I purchased a new 2008 Volvo C30 from them in October, and our sales person completely and totally lied to get our business. The details are as follows:As part of the final negotiations for the purchase of the car, we requested that the 17 wheels and tires that came on the car be exchanged for the more attractive 18 Atreus wheels and higher performance 18 tires. The sales person agreed and repeatedly assured us that this wheel swap would absolutely be no problem.After we took delivery, I kept in touch with him regularly for updates as to when the wheels and tires for the swap would arrive. He kept saying, We just havent received another car with those wheels yet, but they should be here soon. He finally gave me a date of November 10th, 2008, and said he everything approved with management. As it turns out this was all a complete lie. As it also turns out, he is no longer employed at Volvo of the Triad, how convenient.The only reason I bought the car from Volvo of the triad was their willingness to exchange the wheels, I actually had a slightly better deal at another area dealership, however they would not swap the wheels, so I chose to purchase from Volvo of the Triad, what a mistake! I have tried repeatedly to professionally resolve this matter with Volvo of the Triad, so far they have taken the position of too bad, so sad. They constantly remind me of what a great dealership they are, number one in customer satisfaction and all that, but for some reason I am far from satisfied.Of course I feel like a complete idiot, as I trusted the salesperson and the relied on the integrity of the dealership (what was I thinking)! I had only a verbal agreement with the salesperson, and the only supporting testimony to my claim was that the business representative that prepared the financial paperwork was privy to some of the details of the agreement with the salesperson, the sales manager confirmed this with her, however it still does not change their position.For the icing on the cake, the air conditioning stopped working two weeks after we took delivery, and the car went in for repairs which took about a week, the car was in the shop over the weekend. When we got the car back it had about 220 extra miles we cannot account for, and the new car smell we all like, has been replaced with the smell of cigarette smoke.
