When we walked into Sullivan Honda the Wednesday before Thanksgiving after a LONG ride between holiday traffic and construction, Chris Brennan was there to meet us with a big smile on his face about 15 minutes before closing. The 2008 Camry Solara I was interested in was in the garage under lights all ready to be test driven by me!!! I had gotten into an accident with my previous Solara, which was beautiful, so I was very critical of looking at another one. They told me over the phone that this car was immaculate and they were right! It was a year newer, less mileage and better riding than my last one! We negotiated a price and worked together. There was no pressure at all. There were a few "glitches" on my end while trying to register the car. They were so incredibly patient along the way and went OUT OF THEIR WAY to accommodate me.I would no doubt go back to Sullivan Honda for my next car purchase. All the guys we dealt with were awesome! I live in Mass. but couldn't find the used vehicle with the features I wanted in my area. After visiting Sullivan Honda's website, several interesting choices made the hour and a half trip seem worthwhile. It was. Chris Brennan, the salesman, couldn't have been more affable, attentive and easy to work with (great guy) and he helped me find just the right car - a practically new 2015 Honda Certified Civic with ridiculously low miles, loaded with all the bells and whistles (learning all the navigation, phone and voice command features has become a fascinating new hobby).When it came time to negotiate price, Chris and the Sales Manager - Mike Nardi - were patient, no pressure and more than fair, and we quickly arrived at a figure that was exactly where I wanted to end up. Thanks to them and the Business Manager - Tim Kulla - I was able to get exactly the financing terms I was looking for, and they very ably and efficiently handled the potential "speed bumps" presented by out of state RMV and insurance issues.Easily one of my best car-buying experiences. For months I tried to downsize from 3 cars to 1. I walked into Sullivan honda and the staff did just that for me!! Mike was amazing, did everything I needed to be done and then some. He got this mom of a 3 year old out of a sport couple into a beautiful 2016 accord v6 without hesitation despite a few hiccups I actually had! The entire staff was amazing with me, but more important with my son occupying him as I finalized everything. Thank you all so very much, I can't tell you how happy I am!!!

My husband and I were in a tricky situation with our nearly brand new VW. I bought a certified 2016 Honda CR-V. The sales consultant (Dave) was very interactive during the whole process. The financing changed a bit from the initial discussion but which was beyond their control. Other than that, all their statements, for example warranties and so on, were exactly what they stated.The dealership even returned fraction of the money for registration saying the actual DMV fees were less than what they expected (I went there from a different state)! I am impressed with their business ethics.

Excellent service and very helpful. I came in to discuss how I could up grade from my 2014 Honda CR-V. After a few minutes with Chris and filling out some paper work I was offered a deal on a new 2016 Honda CR-V and reduced my monthly car payment by some $90.00 +/-. Chris was extremely helpful in showing me the vehicle and going through all the bells and whittles. He offered his services to explain and questions I had and did so on a few times over the weekend. I would recommend Chris and the entire staff at Sullivan Honda for anyone looking to purchase a vehicle. I have taken my 2014 Honda CR-V to Sullivan's for service and always had a great experience. Again Chris is the best.

After getting the brush-off at an area Honda dealership where the salesperson knew I was shopping around at other locations, I found the salespeople and managers at Sullivan Honda completely professional, patient and empathetic to my needs. My research in buying my first brand-new car in 22 years matched the information they gave me. They ensured that I understood my options without trying to lead me down a path I did not want to go -- no hard sell at all. Salesman Chris Beyus handled all of the tutorials with patience and expertise, especially with all the great smart technology. I felt like they gave me all the time I needed to make up my mind with no pressure. It is my first Honda, so I was pleasantly surprised by the maintenance and warranty package. I would recommend this dealer to anyone. I am thrilled with my beautiful new CR-V!

Excellent and honest service, no bologna, very relaxed sales experience! This is an excellent dealership, with no pressure and will change the way you view buying a car. You don't need to come into this dealership with armor ready to fight off salesmen. They are friendly, relaxed, enthusiastic, and will work with you and do it happily. We traveled an hour just to get our truck from Sullivan Honda because the service was so good and I felt they were honest.I spoke to other dealerships and the sales people were apathetic, uncaring, unreliable and ready to go home. I knew that with Sullivan Honda they would work with us and be there for support even after the transaction was complete. Other dealers we've dealt with take your money and say adios. Real pros at this dealership, go here you will not be sorry!! If you live far it is worth the trip, customer service is priceless.Chris Brennan is a really great salesmen with the enthusiasm, honesty, and communication you want. After frustration with our local dealer my father-in-law suggested I make the drive to Torrington. In short it was worth it. Mario was on-point. I told him what I wanted, didn't try to up- sell me, and delivered the car to my door in Hartford all for a price that was about $2000 less than other options.

I have purchased a new pilot and leased a crv from them. Each time I have asked for a quote via e-mail and each time they have given me a price that has been significantly better than my home town Honda. I recently helped my parents with negotiating a price on a new crv and Wes gave them a great price right away. Unlike most dealerships they don't waste your time on hours of negotiating they just give great prices up front.

We worked with salesman, Chris Brennen and he was outstanding. My son needed a car as his old car had over ,000 miles on it. He choose the H-RV, the new Honda which he liked the gas mileage, all-wheel drive, and several other safety features. Chris, worked with managers that could get a payment my son could afford. Tim Kulla, Finance Officer, explained every detail on purchasing of the car and all financial transactions. One of the best finance officer's I have seen in my over 40 years of purchasing cars. Today my partner and I drove 3 hours to buy a car from Sullivan Honda. We did so because the dealership had exactly the kind of almost-new car I wanted to buy (a Subaru, actually), for a fair price. But making the drive totally worth it was the kind, patient, straightforward service I received at Sullivan Honda. Wes Tanner answered my every early question, and responded immediately to my request for lots of photos of the car, so I could see whether it was worth driving so far. Then at the office, Dave Paolino took his time in explaining all options and fees so that I could make informed decisions about them. Tim in financing was equally respectful of my need to think through big decisions, without rushing or pressuring me, despite the growing lateness on a Saturday afternoon. In the end, I feel I received a very fair price for a beautiful, reliable car that I will enjoy for many years. I did not feel manipulated or bullied, but rather was treated with respect. I would recommend this dealership without reservation. My thanks to Wes, David, and Tim!

We had a great experience at Sullivan Honda on both the sales side as well as the service side couple weeks later. Mario was our salesman and did a great job listening to what we needed and not pushing what was on the lot. Him and his team stayed late on a Saturday to help us purchase our pre-owned Accord. There were some minor issues which the service department handled. Wish we had come here at the beginning of the day and not at the end but that's how it usually happens. Thanks again Sullivan Honda!

EXCESSIVE ROAD NOISE DUE TO UNEVEN TIRE WEAR RESULTING IN TWO SETS OF TIRES WEARING OUT IN 18000 MILES EACH WAS NOT RECOGNIZED AS BEING DUE TO UNADJUSTABLE REAR CONTROL ARMS AS WAS DESCRIBED ON THE INTERNET WITH THE 2011 HONDA CRV. THE EVENTUAL SOLUTION WAS INSTALLING ADJUSTABLE CONTROL ARMS. I HAVEN'T HEARD FROM THE DEALER ON THIS SUBJECT AND A MONTH HAS PASSED.

I purchased a used Mini Cooper that I had found online as a part of the dealerships inventory. I inquired about it on a Sunday (dealership is closed), thinking I'd get a call back on Monday. To my surprise, I got a call on Sunday, from Dave. He was great, talked about the car, the condition. I expressed a lot of interest, and sight unseen put a deposit down. Was a great value compared to some other used Mini's I had looked into. Through the week Dave and I hammered out the details, going through pricing was simple, and logical. The list price of the car was the price I paid, no haggling, no back and forth with a manager with prices that don't add up. Clear cut break down, of every dollar in the overall cost (taxes, dealer fees, titling, etc.). It was great, and with that all set up it made checking out the vehicle and test driving it a breeze. Car was in excellent condition, better than the internet ad said it would be. And I drove off the lot with the car i wanted at a great price, can't beat that!

Honestly, this was by far the best Honda I had worked with. It was a wonderful, painless experience. Very personable salesman, Dave, whom I as able to text, call, email after hours to ask questions and even negotiate my final deal. I was able to go on as long or short of a test drive as I wanted and the car had plenty of gas (things that are often taken for granted). The sales manager didn't just stay in his office and speak secretly to the salesman, he came out offered to negotiate on price and even said that if this isn't the car I am looking for that he would search for one in auction for me. I wasn't sold immediately on the car and I wanted to look at other dealers which they completely understood and weren't pushy about making the deal. When I had gone to see other dealers it was awful. They had high nonnegotiable prices, short side streets to test drive on, no gas in the car, a flip chart to explain why this is the better way to buy a car (if it was better, they wouldn't have to convince you), and on top of it all, one of the cars I went to see had a broken tail light. To this day, no matter how many times I explain how horrible my experience was the Executive Honda of Wallingford still ask if I'm interested in the car and to fill out surveys for them. It was after that horrible experience looking at cars elsewhere that I realized I would rather give my business to the Honda that had the better business practices. Not to mention I got a great deal on a car that I look forward to driving everyday!Additional note, Sullivan Honda of Torrington didn't just stop once I had bought the car. The salesman I worked with even followed up with me a few days later to make sure everything was running smoothly and if I had any questions or concerns. He went above and beyond all expectations. I would 100% recommend others to buy their future Honda from Sullivan Honda of Torrington.

Drove 2 and 1/2 hours to this dealership and it was completely worth it. Great people, professional and knowledgeable. They were completely true to their word on the phone and the car was actually even better when we saw it than the photos suggested. I cannot say enough nice things about our recent experience buying a Honda Fit for our daughter. The fact that we drove two and a half hours to this dealership should indicate that no other Honda dealership could come close. From the first phone call with David to leaving the lot in the new car, the experience could not have been more enjoyable.After 40 years of car buying I do not look forward to the "ordeal" so I was completely taken aback by this dealership and how pleasant the experience was. We needed to replace my car unexpectedly ( mine had been the better of our family's 2 cars) when someone totaled it by hitting me head-on as I sat at a stop sign. Mario, our salesperson was amazing. He understood how stressful the situation was for us. We found him to be extremely knowledgable, honest and patient. He answered all of our questions, showed us all of the options that could fulfill our needs, and we left with a really excellent Honda CRV that fit so well within our budget that we should be able to replace my husbands junky old Suburu too, later this year!

The employees are professional & friendly, and work is done in a timely way. However, the waiting area is not able to accommodate all the people who need to wait, because new, bigger furniture was put in, so that now fewer chairs can fit in the waiting area. Now, every time i go there, some people cannot sit down. It's either a woman with two small children, or an elderly person, or a disabled person or veteran. There used to be, in addition to the former regular chairs, a tiny plastic table with two tiny plastic chairs just for children to color or play at. Also, although the coffee machine is a Keurig, there are only two kinds of coffee to choose from: regular or decaf. Might as well go back to the burner system with a pot of high-test & a pot of decaf, & maybe a pot of plain water for tea.

I drive 50 minutes every time my car needs service just so I can go here. I always make an appointment and they get the car right in. If they find anything else wrong when the car is there, they tell me what it is, if it can wait until the next service and if I do decide to get it done they do it right then. Their prices are as good if not better then the chain repair shops.

I walked into the showroom one day to get some information about a new CR-V. That is when I met David P. who stopped what he was doing to answer all of my questions. On my next visits I test drove several cars, during this time he explained and showed me all of the features the cars had and what each trim line offered. He was a dynamic salesman for me during negotiations which aided in the purchase of my new car at Sullivan Honda. Because things happened so quickly during the purchase, it was not clear that I wanted to add on some things, so I had to return to the dealership several times for the installation of them. During the installation the staff was very friendly as I waited for the service to be completed. Overall great experience, very sincere and friendly staff, I would recommend the dealership and David as your salesman!

Dave Paolino was helpful, but not pushy. I spent a lot of time looking for a car and dealt with many different salesmen and dealerships throughout the process. My experience at this dealership was stress free. The car was reasonably priced and in great condition. Dave went out of his way to make sure I was happy. Great experience overall!

From the minute I walked in the door this was northing but an excellent experience. Family operated business and they really want to please you in anyway they can. I had checked out a few other dealerships in the area and Sullivan's beat their prices easily. The salesman (Tim Kulla) couldn't have been better or more professional. Didn't feel any pressure by him to make a sale. I couldn't possibly recommend this dealership more. Even though there is a Honda dealership only 5 minutes from where I live, I will most likely have all my service work done in Torrington since I trust these people.

Overall, I have been extremely happy with Honda from when I bought the car to my initial service. The staff have been very courteous and do excellent work. The only issue I have is that I thought every time you bring the car in for service, they wash it. But, on two occasions my car was returned without a wash. Otherwise, excellent!

I bought my first honda here, I believe in 2012 it was a certified 2010 accord...They always treated me great. I had all my service done here as well. Yesterday I went in to talk about an upgrade and they were great at solving and answering all my concerns. Even when I really thought it just might be best if i wait another year to better suit my budget, they worked hard to find the answer. (I would have been fine waiting too, but they made it work) All very helpful, and Tim was very patient and understanding. I am one of those people who hate to bargain and love to have a peaceful shopping trip. After having a difficult experiences with one of the other car dealers, Sullivan Honda was a very welcome change. The best part was that none of the people working there are pushy and they dont force you into making a deal the very same day. They give you time to think but still keep following up.

I'm quite picky when it comes to cars, dealerships, pricing and service. Like a lot of buyers, I see salesman as backstabbers who just want smile and talk their way into your wallet.My experience at Sullivan started with Wes, real nice guy who got me to the dealer to see the car I was interested in (used Subaru Impreza. I am so happy with my new CRV. Tim is such a nice polite young man. He understood what I was going through after I had my car totaled. I was so worried about not receiving my check from the insurance company in a timely manner and he told me not to worry they would hold the car for me. I really don't know what I would have done if it wasn't for him working so diligently with me. Tim even came in on his day off when I picked up my car to make sure everything was taken care of.

We recently bought a 2016 Honda Pilot from Sullivan Honda and couldn't be happier with our purchase. It came time for the first oil change -- it was free -- a nice surprise from Sullivan. The service department from the customer service area to the techs that serviced the care were all extremely efficient and friendly. I had a warranty issue and had to bring the car back for the part to be put on the car. The service department scheduled the repair around my schedule instead of my having to schedule the appointment around there schedule. I was really surprised by that! I can't say enough about the people at Sullivan -- They are great!!!

I saw a car that I was interested in on the Sullivan Honda website. I called and was told I could come down and see the car right then, or make an appointment. I made an appointment, but then thought, what if the car sells, maybe I should go down now and check it out. I did go down that evening. Saw the car and fell in love with it, a CR-Z EX hybrid. Bought the car. Sullivan Honda made the whole sale process flow so easily. Very happy with the salesmanship, as well as their expertise in finance procedures and follow through.

I was in the market for a used vehicle, shopping through all the Honda dealers within a 1 hour ride of home. It was a Sunday, the dealership was closed. I sent in an inquiry about the vehicle and behold within an hour Dave from the dealership contacted me. It was his day off and he went out of the way to go down to the lot and get me all the details on the car with more pictures. After talking on the phone, we arranged for a test drive the next day. We were able to come to terms quickly and I walked away purchasing the vehicle with no hassle and ease. Since this was a used car, they accommodated the repairs I identified and they serviced the vehicle. I normally buy new cars and this was the first used car I purchased in over 15 years and it was like new when I picked it up.

After bringing my Honda Pilot in for an air bag recall, I was shown the work order and was told that my radiator was leaking and it needed to be replaced at a cost of 700-800 dollars. Of course being a woman and knowing nothing about cars, I panicked. Since I didnt have the money to fix it on me at the time, I immediately left there and went to my mechanic to schedule an appointment and have it checked out. Nothing was wrong with my radiator and it wasn't leaking at all. I certainly won't be going back there when I purchase a new Pilot.

I walked into Sullivan Honda after contacting many other dealerships. Sullivan was able to quote me the best price on my desired vehicle out of any that I contacted. From the moment I walked in I felt welcomed by the entire staff rather than pressured. The car I wanted was very specific and hard to find. I ended up purchasing the V6 Accord Coupe Manual Transmission. My sales rep Jacob had to drive all the way to New Hampshire to get it, and was very happy to do it for me. The car came back in mint condition, this process only took a couple days from the first time I walked in. The sales process with Jacob was both fun and exceptional. The buying/finance process was just as easy. Overall I am very happy with the service I received and am so pumped about my new car!!

I was told that my service will take about an hour. Instead, I had to wait in a horrible, stinky little room for two and a half hours. It would have helped if I was told honestly that it will take that much time, and I would have arranged to be picked up by my husband. Nobody bothered to refill the water cooler. The facility itself is smelly, noisy and uncomfortable. I was very angry and disappointed.I am thinking of going to a different location next time!

I have to partially echo another review; "Tom Neary was up front and honest" also Brandon Lorenzoni who was also as well. If I asked for more info or clarification about something, they got the answer to me and what they said held up throughout the process; which is certainly rare for used car buying, but not here. The visits were comfortable and informative and info straightforward. Tom and Brandon and the team at Sullivan Honda managed what others didn't: got me to but a car from a BRAND dealer rather than the usual private parties I normally purchase from AND I drove over an hour one-way to do so over three visits until I was ready to purchase at a price well better than the other regular dealers could offer! Any extra options I didn't choose right at the closing were questioned only with a low key "Any reason why, or just maybe not now?" - Comparatively speaking, I've had more pressure buying soccer cleats for my daughter. I'm sure I'm leaving out a few: The Service Manager (I think Bob Russo) had a hand in part of my decision, and Mario and a few others were always friendly to myself and family.

This is the first time I brought my Civic to Sullivans. I needed a burned out brake light fixed. While there, the service technician noticed a soft right front tire. I had picked up a nail. Low and behold, I drove on the soft tire so I needed to replace it. Rather than just order the one tire, I choose to buy 4 from Sullivan Honda. My service rerpresentative was Marissa Greenwood. She was wonderful to work with. Very accomdating, kept me informed of everything, told me what the cost would be. Got the job done in a timely fashion as well. I believe Sullivans has acquired a new customer.

I brought my civic in for its 1st maintenance (oil change & tire rotation). Service checking in and out was great. Service was done, but when I got back intomy car, there was no longer any audio at all; that was completely off. Had to get the manual out and figure out how to get it and other options (milage,etc) back up and running. I wasn't too happy with that. In addition, my phone link-up was altered. No message center, no history, nothing. I can now only dial from my phone itself, then it will transfer to the audio. Nothing comes in, though, and no messages registered at all, nor history, and some numbers that were in my phonebook are gone. It all worked before I brought it in. I don't know what happened, but I'm still trying to figure out how to get the phone accessory back on to working through the audio that had been completely turned off for some reason when I got back into the car. I think that my next maintenance will not be done at Sullivan. I don't know what they did, but they did something to alter all of that, and no explanation or warning. When they were done with my car, they had to have noticed as it was stated on the screen, but nothing was said or resolved.

I walked in after visiting more than five other dealers, and sales rep Tom Neary helped me find exactly what I was looking for. Sales staff is friendly and knowledgeable but not pushy. (Another plus, for females: The staff at Sullivan talks to *you*, not just the guy you may have with you, about your future vehicle!) The sale and financing went smoothly. If you are in the Torrington area and looking for a Honda I recommend Luis Serrano as your next salesman. I am not a fan of pressure sales, nor do I like dealing with the salesperson who gives me the "what would it take to put you in this car today" pitch. Luis is a great salesperson who provided us guidance in a relaxed and comfortable way.While browsing the lot looking at cars Luis approached us with a smile and introduced himself. He shook our hands and offered to answer any questions we had and then gave us space to carry on with our search which made for a good first impression. When we did have questions it was evident that he knew his products and was able to explain things in a way that was easily understood. We were never pressured or misguided which I appreciated and I was sure to let him know at the end of the visit. In the end, we did not leave with a car however that had nothing to do with Luis; in fact we look forward to working with Luis again in the future and would recommend him as a salesperson to anyone who appreciates a comfortable car buying experience. I purchased a CR-V (my 5th Honda). Having purchased many new cars in the past, this was by far the most painless, easiest and hassle-free transaction ever. Everyone at Sullivan was a joy to work with and very pleasant, especially the salesman, Mario Daniele. I am used to being pressured into adding this or that, which was not the case at this dealership. They listened and delivered. During the more than hour drive north, I passed at least 2 other Honda dealerships but went to this one because they have treated me right in the past (Service Dept) and I read great reviews about them. It was well worth the longer drive. In ten years when I need a new Honda, I'll be back!

Had an oil pump replaced under warranty. Anthony and his team were terrific and made it as easy and painless as possible. Also gave me a loaner car for the 2 day repair. Was able to pick the car up after service hours which made it less stressful as well. Thanks to all!

Sales associate Howard Beaulieu is a real professional. He has excellent customer repoire and is very product knowledgeable. Working with Howard was very easy and he helped me to get a good dealon my new CRV. Jeff Cormier and Tom Neary as well were gentlemen and were not pushy. Overall experience was not stressful and I did better here vs. other local dealerships.

I like going here because they can always fit me in, however I feel that every time I go in for something - it breaks a few days later. ie: I came in to have my battery serviced and then two days later my battery completely died. I'll keep going here until something better opens up by my house.

Luis was wonderful to work with and so helpful in my search for a new car. He was very customer oriented and accommodating. Luis Serrano was my salesperson. He quickly grasped my situation which at first was to evaluate the CR-V relative to the subaru Forester. Several hours after that initial visit I came back to explore the possibility of the Honda Fit, sensing the smaller vehicle would meet my needs. He quickly changed gears and managed to give me a price (though color availability was TBD. Two weeks later it was down to Honda Fit LX vs VW Golf tsi-s.He helped me recognize the features of the EX that could make that a better value purchase and one was on the lot! He pointed out how what appeared to be very low undercarriage was in fact not so.My prior two vehicles were VW golfs That car has a little more of what I need for highway driving and I'm very familiar w/how it holds the road. Were it purely based on trust of the salesman's explanation and price, I would have bought the EX from Luis. I definitely am recommending Luis and Sullivan Honda to other friends considering the purchase of an efficient vehicle.

Mario Danielle is not just a fine salesman; he's a great guy. In fact, he's more like a great guy who happens to sell cars. He was candid and friendly, he listened to our preferences, and at all times he did whatever he could to ensure that we were happy. We also appreciated how every member of the Sullivan Honda team seemed to know both us and the car we were purchasing. This was the easiest, fastest and most stress-free car buying experience I have ever had. The staff at Sullivan is great. I worked on-line to obtain a quote, which arrived in no time at all.. initially, they did not have the color I wanted in stock. But it arrived a few days later and they immediately contacted me. That clinched the deal! The final price was great and their people even better. When I came in to pick up the car, they were ready for me. No waiting, no attempt to sell me any 'add-ons'. They took the right amount of time to go over the car, their service department, everything. Before I knew it, I was out the door. Keep up the good work!!

Approximately one month ago we had been faced with some unexpected news regarding our 2007 Honda Odyssey, and it appeared that we were probably going to need a new short block, with the original estimate being over $8,000. We are the original owners and were counting on this vehicle lasting us for many more years, as we only had approximately 65k miles on it. As you can imagine, this situation was not one we had planned on, and it was going to be a huge inconvenience and financial burden for us. The Service Dept. (Matt Pines) relayed this unpleasant news in a professional manner and took his time in answering my plethora of questions. He also assured me that the Service Manager (Bob Russo) had already taken the initiative to forward a 'goodwill request' to American Honda' on our behalf. Bob Russo then took the time to personally speak with me, about our vehicle, and the process to expect, and he continuously kept us updated on the status of that goodwill request. He went above and beyond to try and help give us a peace of mind with the important decision of whether to authorize tearing apart the engine for further diagnosis. My wife and I felt that Mr. Russo was genuinely concerned about helping us with this dilemma, and that he was doing his best to see that we would receive the maximum amount of financial assistance that we could. Furthermore, this type of service was consistent with how Mr. Russo has helped us numerous times in the past, whenever his department has serviced our vehicles. The original diagnosis turned out to be accurate (a testament to the knowledge and skills of the mechanics there), and a new short block had to be installed. American Honda had offered to cover approximately $7,000 for the repair, thus leaving us with a $1,500 balance. However, on his own accord Mr. Russo further advocated for us regarding our service record and how the vehicle had been treated, and he was able to get that amount cut in half. We only had to pay $750 for the extensive amount of work that had been done, and this was greatly appreciated. Lastly, the Service Adviser Anthony Audia called us when the vehicle had been midway through the repairs, to discuss an option that had since surfaced. Mr. Audia explained that our vehicle was due to have the timing belt replaced (7yrs./100k miles), and since the engine was currently torn apart, that we would only have to pay for the parts, thus saving us hundreds of dollars in labor cost. Mr. Audia's proposition appeared to make great sense, and we opted to also have that done. We appreciated that he had made us aware of the same, and again felt that the service dept. at Sullivan Honda had been looking out for our best interests. The service department there has always been courteous, professional, and extremely helpful, and their friendly personalities deserve mention as well. My wife and I want to personally thank Matt Pines, Bob Russo, Anthony Audia, Master Technician Glenn Parker, as well as recognize Parts Manager David Todor and Nick Vasille for their friendly demeanor upon our visits there. None of their efforts were taken for granted, and all that they did on our behalf was greatly appreciated. They are a great team!

I had to take my car to Sullivan because another dealership in Watertown gave me an oil change and yet my car still had signals on as if it hadn't been worked on. The staff at Sullivan was very kind, and really appreciated having my business. They checked my oil and filter and discovered that it had been changed and did not charge me, but instead reset the switch and then handled the balancing of my tires. I was treated fairly and I will go back!

I have purchased many cars throughout the year and this by far was the easiest experience I have had. A few weeks ago I stopped by to just look at a CRV as I knew they were popular but had never looked at one closely. I had no intention of purchasing a car so soon and let the salesman, Mario, know this. Despite the fact he was not going to make a sale that day, he spent 45 minutes going over the vehicle features but with no feeling of pressure. At the end he told me if I needed anything to give him a call. He never required me to supply him with my personal inforamtion. I visited several other dealerships that day looking at comparable models and had a much different experience. One made me feel obligated to take a test drive, another would not even show me the car without taking my name, address and phone #, and a third would barely speak with me since I wasn't buying. This just reinforced what a great sales person Mario is and made me keep thinking about the CRV. A few weeks later I decided to take a test drive and see what Honda could offer me for the new car as well as my current vehicle. I did not "need" a car so I figured if we couldn't agree on a price I could leave and nothing was lost but my time. I found Mario and took a test drive, he was there explaining all of the driving features and wanted to be sure I felt comfortable in the car as I am used to much smaller vehicles. When it came time to talk numbers I was floored at how easy this went. During previous purchases at other dealers this is always the worst part. I do my homework so I know what a fair price is and when the dealer trys to play games it makes me want to leave (I have in the past). With Sullivan's this was a completely different story and I didn't have to haggle over a small amount. Tom, the sales mgr. was fair and we came to an agreement quickly. When dealing with Jeff in finance, he also explained every step to me including the add on's but did not make me feel pressured to purchase the additional packages. The rest of the process went smoothly with just a hiccup on my end that was quickly fixed. When it was time for me to pick up the car, Mario once again went over the features even helping me hook up my phone to the blue tooth and helped me set up the speed dials. I have never dealt with a more professional, no pressure, thorough sales person in the past 24 years when I purchased my first car. I give Sullivan's Honda an A+++ !!!

And with no hassles we saved literally thousands of dollars on the 2011 Ex L when we bought at Sullivan. They offered all available services and upgrades but did not push them. My wife and I have had a Subaru Forester for 13 years and it had gone through two head gaskets and it was now time to buy a new or used car. I immediately went to the Subaru dealer and test drove the Forester and Outback because I love these cars in the snow, To my amazement my test drive were very disappointing for many reasons and I won't bash Subaru so we will leave it at that.I was now with making a decision on another model but what to choose? I remember my mechanic always telling me to by a Toyota or a Honda and so I went and did some test drives. I test drove the RAV 4 and it seemed to have more power than the Subaru so it wasn't that bad.The next day I had to rent a car because our Forester was dead and we had to still get to work so I rented a car at Hertz in Torrington on East Main street They have always been a great place to rent a car. They actually try and help you get a better price and I've never had aproblem on returning. So, the car that I got was a RAV 4 believe it or not. I was excited that for a week I would be able to drive the car I thought I was going to buy. Toyota has a great reputation but this RAV 4 was not the best for us. I found it's interior ergonomics just plan bad. It was difficult to open your windows due to handle placement, difficult to adjust you sets and the ride, while it handled well, it was bumpy.... This takes me to now looking at a Honda. So I went to Sullivan's and took a few used cars for at test drive with Mario. The cars were very nice to ride, much smoother, ergonomics were more like my old Subaru and the space inside seemed just more be more properly used for driver use and ease.So here i am at a car dealer.... THIS TO ME IS MORE NERVING THAN PUBLIC SPEAKING. I never trusted them and never wanted to go in to one again but I had to.. I walk in and a salesman named Mario introduces hiimself and asked me what he could hellp me with.. He was friendly, easy to talk to and got me into the cars I asked about and took the time with me for the test drives. He answered my questions and didn't make me feel rushed to get done with the test drive. I finished and thought it was a good experience but I wanted to keep looking at other dealerships. Mario knew I was going to look around and yet he still followed up with me by phone to get me a price on a used CRV that they had just got in... He did not try to close the deal at that moment. I did alot of research on the CRV and found it rated better than the RAV 4. I talked to my neighbor who has a CRV and they said they've had it since 2005 with no problems. My daugher's teacher has a CRV with 250,000 miles and has had no problems. My mechanic just bought one for his wife. I talked to about 3 strangers who I noticed had CRVs and asked them about it and they all said they loved it.. I WAS SOLD..We decided on a used CRV and did some online shopping and found some 2011 around our price and the features we wanted. We went to Hoffman's in Simsbury and we test drove a few and decided to make an offer on a used 2011. They have a real nice place there at Hoffman but the atmosphere and the sales guys are what most of us fear most about dealerships. I felt as if they tried too hard and the salesman pitch / friendliness was way overdone. Now there is genuine friendly and there is business friendly and it didn't feel genuine...Our negotiations with the used car at Hoffman didn't go well. They didn't want to budge but a few hundred dollars and I know used cars are the money maker and on top of that they wanted to hit me with a $429.00 Conveyance fee!!! I read that you should never pay more than $300.00...By now I was in a pickle.... I had one day left on the week rental and had to get a car today.... I had gotten an internet price on a New CRV and it was a good price compared to the MSRP, so I thought maybe I should buy new... I remembered Mario in Torrington which is the closest dealer to me and gave them a call and said, "I need a car today, I am either going to buy a used one with 17,000 miles or if you can beat the internet price I got i will come to you and buy today" They were able to give me a better price than the internet offer I received from another dealer so for less than $2,000 more dollars I got a brand new 2014...I went to Sullivan's the next hour and sat with Mario and went over the car, took it for a drive, went to see my wife at work and she got to see it too. The whole process was relaxing and I felt a ease with Mario.. He does his job well and yet he doesn't make you feel uncomfortable or pressured. He corrected mistakes quickly, took care of all the paperwork and made adjustments for me even when the process was started.Mario took the time to go through the whole car, make sure the plates were on and just helped with any questions we had. I know sales guys don't make alot of money with new car sales but Mario treated us like it didn't matter how much he was making.. I HAVE TO SAY IF YOU WANT A RELAXED NO PRESSURE PLACE TO BUY A CAR THEN GO TO SULLIVAN'S AND SEE MARIO. YOU WILL SEE WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT... AND I'M TOUGH TO PLEASE SO YOU KNOW THEY'VE GOTTA BE GOOD...

We have been to Sullivan Honda twice in the last five months and each time we came away with a great car at a great price after a great experience. Everything was explained clearly and al of our questions answered completely and to our satisfaction. There was never a feeling that they were trying to push anything on us and the whole process could not have been easier.You hear a lot of horror stories about buying/leasing a new car and that it's a lot of hassle but that is the furthest thing from reality about our experience with Ben and the team at Sullivan Honda.

I bought a car from Sullivan Honda a month ago and couldn't have been, and continue to be, more happy with my purchase and the process. They beat all other Honda dealers within two hours in price. I half expected to get tricked when I walked in, that the price they quoted me online would dissappear, but they stuck to their quoted price. We had a very pleasant experience from the moment we walk through the door. We were pleasantly greeted and approached calmly. We didn't feel like we were being pounced on the moment we stepped foot in the door. The sales team went above and beyond answering all of our questions. They even did an online comparison of other vehicles we were looking in to at other area dealers (Toyota Rav4 & Ford Escape). We felt they really wanted our business because they were willing to work very hard at getting us a fair price. At the time, we weren't really even considering a Honda, but we thought it might be good idea to compare. I'm really glad we did because we walked away with a brand new CR-V!

I received a warm reception and was assigned to Mario who was extremely accommodating and really caring for the customer! After a test drive where he described all features of the car, we went through the formalities of paperwork. I was given a tour of the Service Department and introduced to the employees. I want to thank Brendon, Mario and Jeff for making my experience so pleasant and comfortable and would highly recommend this dealership to everyone.

Great place to buy a car or truck. Friendly staff, honest sales people and fun environment. Service department is better than most and really friendly. I have purchased two vehicles from Sullivan Honda in Torrington, CT and both times had great experience. I recommend this dealership 100%. You will not be disappointed.

I gave the overall experience a three because while waiting for the service work to be completed, I was once again disappointed to not see current magazines for women available for reading. When the dealership was Torrington Honda, there was always a variety of timely magazines for both men and women; now there aren't any for those of us who have to wait. And...this is even more important...I miss having cookies to munch on :) Seriously, it's the little touches that are memorable and tell your customers they are special. I am most happy to see the same staff each time I go in and know that there hasn't been a turnover of familiar faces. Anthony and Matt in the service department are fantastic and I expect to see them each time I'm there. Bob Russo is the best, he's friendly and very helpful. Since I moved to Torrington ten years ago I've purchased a 2009 Civic and leased a 2010 Civic and a 2013 Accord from your dealership. Knowing the employees are treated "right" is one reason I continue to come back...I don't want to drive to Avon or Watertown to purchase/lease/service my cars. The entire experience was impressive, from my very first phone call, all the way through to picking up my car. I have been to quite a few dealerships and mechanics in my life, and I can say that without question, that SULLIVAN HONDA is the best ever.

Mario was wonderful! He was so friendly and very knowledgeable about our Pilot! He pulled the car instead so we could look at it, because we have a baby and it was cold! He even went over the whole car and set up my phone to answer in the car! The general manager Mark was just as great!! We went to other dealerships and they were by far the nicest! This team comes highly recommended!

It was a pleasure to deal with Sullivan Honda!!! A no pressure atmosphire is very important to me!!! Mike Dumaine was more than accomodating during the purchasing process!!! The same goes for Jeff!!! My daughter is hearing impaired and both gentlemen took the extra step to explain about the vehicle and the buying process!!! We were treated as valued customers and thanked repeatedly for our business!!! I would highly recommend this dealership!!!

June 2013, I bought a "Honda Certified" 2011 Pilot Touring edition from what was at the time, Torrington Honda. We have purchased a couple cars from Torrington Honda and have had great experiences with sales and service. So, we got the certified Pilot this year and were told by Torrington Honda about what the "Certified" program entitled us to; 4 years of free oil changes, etc, etc. What they didn't tell us however, is that you need a coupon booklet to redeem those rewards, nor did they give us a booklet. The salesmen had only been on the job for 2 weeks, I'd say it was an honest mistake.October 2013, time for the first oil change. Torrington Honda has been taken over by Sullivan Honda at this point. I take the Pilot for an oil change expecting it's covered by the Honda certification, only to learn that A) I need a coupon booklet to redeem the free oil changes and other rewards from the certification program, and B) since Sullivan's doesn't participate in the program - I can't get a copy of the coupon booklet that I was supposed to have gotten when I purchased the car. So wait, you can't give me a coupon booklet? You won't even sell me one? Nope. It's mind boggling that in today's high tech world we still have to rely on a coupon booklet for services? Don't you have some sort of electronic record of my purchase? But that's a Honda issue.And what kind of customer service is not participating in this Honda Certified program? You really can't get me a copy of the coupon booklet that I should have gotten anyway? It's not like I'm putting you out here, I just need the book. If I have the coupons I can take the car to another dealer, that's fine. And it's not a lot of money for each service, but $50-60 each time for 4 years adds up! Even if I don't have this car serviced with you, I would have at least still had a positive opinion of Sullivan's Honda. Had they given me the coupon book I would consider them the next time I am car shopping. Not helping me out there just cost them a customer. There are plenty of other dealers that want my loyalty of repeat sales and service.

I was able very easily to get a competitive price quote on a new car from my salesman and his manager, without the usual games about whether I'm ready to buy today, which is an oft-head question at other dealerships that is impossible to answer without knowing what the price is going to be. I also liked the soft sell of the after-market items such as extended warranties, paint and upholstery protection, dent and scratch insurance, etc. Everyone there was courteous,; helpful, and responsive to all questions and concerns.

My husband and I were expecting to hassle with the dealership over price and options. This wasn't necessary with Sullivan Honda. Ben Wetmore, the salesman, was very understanding of our needs and helped us through the process of buying the car we wanted. Since we are an older couple, we are not up on all the new gadgets the newer cars come with. With Ben's help and guidance we were able to negotiate through them. I am 72 years old. I must admit that my opinion of car salesmen in general has always been very low. Ben Wetmore has totally changed this perception. He is professional, friendly, knows his product, is helpful but NOT overbearing, and he has a great sense of humor. This is a young man that I would enjoy having a beer with and that is not a statement I would make about most car salesmen/women that I have met in my lifetime. Additionally, I trust Ben! This young man is going to rise to the top of his profession very quickly so my advice to all you Sales Managers out there, "Watch your back- Ben is gaining on you!"In summary, thuis is the FIRST time in my life that I have actually enh=joyed buying a car. Purchased a Acura MDX from Sullivan Honda. Everything was perfect. Talked with Ben Wetmore on the phone and set up the appointment for a test drive. He was very helpful and friendly. We worked out a great deal that day and picked it up the next. It was a long ride form where I live but worth the trip.

Ben was great, he was patient and answered all my questions. This is my second Honda Civic that I purchased through Torrington Honda. The whole team is friendly and knowledgeable. I love how when any one enters the showroom, someone is ready to welcome you. They do not make you feel pressured in purchasing a vehicle. Not like other dealerships I visited. I have been a customer at Torrington Honda service department for over 20 years. Bob Russo, Service Manager and his staff, in particular Anthony and Matt, are very very accommodating and helpful. I bring two Hondas and a Saturn to this service department. I am writing this review in particular because my daughter drives the Saturn and called about a dozen different places, dealerships, private mechanics, etc., in and around the Stamford area, looking for someone to diagnose a noise she was hearing. None of them would even look at the car because it is a Saturn. Anthony allowed us to bring the car in same day, the problem was diagnosed, and part were ordered. Since Saturn no longer is in business, they ordered after factory parts, which will be available tomorrow. They gave me a loaner car, I gave my daughter my car, and all will be fixed tomorrow. They have consistently been willing to work on the Saturn ever since that company went out of business. The dealerships in Fairfield county that my daughter contacted would not even discuss seeing her car. Thanks Bob, Anthony, and Matt!

My experience at Torrington Honda was very pleasant. The staff was incredibly patient and attentive, even when I decided to postpone my purchase. I chose to wait until I finish making tuition payments to purchase a newer vehicle. The staff was understanding and gracious and made sure to let me know that they would be happy to work with me when I was ready to purchase.

This dealer used a bait and switch tactic--while giving a price on a 2012 vehicle, they failed to tell me they had none on the lot. When I got to the lot, they showed me a 2013, gave me a price, but then reneged--rudely--on the price. Acc. to the mgr, I went in from out of state knowing they had no 2012 models on the lot, which was false as their internet salesperson never told me of this. Brought to attention of Dept of Consumer Protection who followed up stating the dealer was unwilling to mediate the situation. Rude/condescending manager interaction, fraudulent accusation of my knowledge, and failure to produce item they quoted me for the day of the visit with no notification a 2012 was not on site despite knowing I'd be coming in from out of state.

What a easy hassle free transaction. John made it so easy for us to get out of our current lease early, and into a new Honda with no money down, and we lowered our payment. Torrington Honda is lucky to have a manager like John. We will never buy anywhere else. Thanks John!

I was very pleased with Torrington Honda. I purchase my first honda 4yrs. ago which was a pilot and everyone there was great that I returned again to purchase another Pilot and didn't bother to look at another Honda dealership. Even there are other Honda dealers closer to me. They listened and there was no high pressure sales tactics and aimed to please. Its a small, old fashioned, customer comes first type of dealership.

We came to Torrington Honda from the Hartford Area. We were looking for a Certified Honda that they had in stock. Our Internet Sales Manager John Stevens convinced us that it was worth the 45 minute trip to see him and the Vehicle. We were not disappointed at all when we arrived. We were treated like family and the process went very smoothly. John didn't pressure us at all and was very knowledgeable of the Odyssey and it's features. We bought the Honda because of John and how he made us feel. We will definitely recommend John and Torrington Honda to our family and friends.
