Very bad experience. DO NOT give them your social security number until you get a written offer from the sales department. Otherwise, you will end up with a hard credit inquiry on your report for a fake deal. In my case, they increased the price by $100/per month (From $258 to $357) for a fully loaded Jeep Cherokee High Altitude after they checked the credit score and noticed that it is only 720!!!

I recently leased a 2016 Jeep Cherokee through Baystate and would not recommend them to my worst enemy. The salesman Rafael lied about the Excise tax being included in my payments to the loan holder, which yes, could have been human error, but if that was the only issue, I would not be writing this review. He failed to deregister my plates so I was responsible for insuring the vehicle that I had turned in 10 days prior, and misled me to believe that the dealership was taking over the lease I was turning in as a trade in allowance on the 2016 Jeep Cherokee agreement. My fault for not seeing that in the mass amount of paperwork I was signing there was no trade in value listed, but naive me thought that since I was on the phone with ally and Rafael as he was getting the buyout information, there was no need to confirm the dealership would be taking over the lease. Now, I could potentially be responsible for the early termination fee, along with any damages that could have happened while the vehicle has been in their care for almost 3 weeks in a crammed lot where anything could happen. I would have taken pictures of the vehicle had I known that this was what I signed up for, but I was misled from the beginning. This dealership is so shady and if you read other YELP and car dealer review sites, the reviews speak for themselves. The service shop improves the ratings but do not be fooled, there are plenty of reviews that state how unprofessional, rude and disorganized this dealership truly is.

Excellent experience at Baystate! We had visited 4 other dealerships and this one treated us like family! I went there prepared with my internet print outs for the two vehicles we wanted to test drive and the price and trade in we wanted and they made all the figures work for us! From the sales person, to the finance person and especially the general manager...all great people that wanted to help us get a Jeep! I will recommend this dealership to anyone!

We visited this dealership to replace our Dodge Avenger that had been totaled in an accident. There is no shortage of used Avengers in our area but we traveled out of state over 2 1/2 hours to Baystate Chrysler Jeep Dodge in Newton, MA 02460 because they had 2 different Avengers for sale with extremely low mileage. We spoke by phone with the dealership before we made the trip and were told that these cars were loaner/company fleet vehicles in pristine condition (not exactly true). However, we settled on a car and signed the documents to proceed. Having never bought a car out of state before I was careful to confirm via phone and email with Baystate all that was needed to ensure there would be no issues in registering the car before setting up a day and time to meet at a DMV location within our home state. The Baystate representatives met us at a DMV location which was still 1 1/2 hours away from where we live. It was at this time they informed us that there was only one key for the vehicle and when I questioned why I was told "that's all we have - that happens when you buy a used car you never know". I think that this was important information that should have been disclosed to us prior to the sale and had we backed out we would have lost our $500 deposit. Not only was that disappointing; after waiting at DMV over 3 hours, as it turns out we were only issued a temporary registration because Baystate failed to complete the VIN Check required by the DMV that they had promised they would do before meeting up with us. I contacted the dealer to ask for an additional key. John Anzalone of Baystate informed me that he was not going to just give me a key they are expensive you know" - I can let you know the price and give you a dealer discount." I'm sure that's a very fair offer, however he was extremely patronizing and projected an attitude of arrogance through his tone. He was extremely rude and condescending. One of the reasons I choose to purchase used vehicles from a dealer rather than a private party is because I expect that as an authorized dealer you would be held to a higher standard of customer service. I guess not. I am not exactly sure what happened at the dealership but several hours later I received a phone message letting me know that they had "found" the key and the owners manual and would mail both out to me immediately. Even so I would not trust this dealer to be fair or honest and would not recommend them.

I took my 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 to this dealership for a broken gas gauge. The first time I took it there they told me they the part was on back order. I finally got a call from them 3 weeks later and I took the truck in to get fixed. They called me back and said the truck was all set. After I picked the truck up I went straight to the gas station because they drained my tank bone dry and of course the gas gauge didn't move. I called them and they told me to bring it back the next day. So I did and when I was there I asked why they didn't put any gas back in it to see if it worked? They basically said that they didn't think it was necessary. So I left it there for the day again. I actually went back before they called me to come get it because I left something in the truck. When I got there a kid was pulling in with the truck and I asked him if it was all set and he said he thought so. I asked him if he put gas in it to see if the gauge moved and he said no. So I went in and talked to the mechanic who assured me it was fixed. I asked him how does he know that without putting gas in it. He basically told me that he could just tell by feeling how much gas was in the tank and what the gauge read. I gave him the benefit of doubt and off to the gas station I went. To my disbelief I filled the tank up again and it didn't move again . I called them again and they told me to bring it back again. So now a third time there and they told me to come and get that it was all set. I asked if they put gas in it to make sure and they told me that I have to pay for the gas. This is after they drained my tank on 2 different occasions. I told Dave finnegan that I thought this was unfair and that I still don't know if it's fixed and to be honest neither do yo if you didn't put gas in it to see if the gauge moved. I wasn't looking for a full tank of gas just enough to make the needle move. Dave basically told me to f*** myself and if it's not fixed take it back to central dodge where I bought it. I would be ashamed of my employee if I were the owner of this dealership. He is a trash mouth and she be fired immediately.

The good: Henry was *GREAT* to work with. His laid back and friendly demeanor made our car buying experience a pleasant one. He followed through on everything promised, paid attention to details, and took good care of us! Henry was probably one of the only good things about the dealership. The bad: This dealership seems to be very unorganized. ( 1.) There was A LOT of waiting time for everything. We were at the dealership for over 6 hours while purchasing our car ( 2.) The car I TEST DROVE was actually SOLD and they didn't realize this until after I signed some of the paper work. Luckily they did have another that had the same options. ( 3.) We were passed off from our original sales consultant to Henry since the first guy disappeared to handle something else right before we were going to take a test drive. (Not a big deal & it worked out since we loved working with Henry!!)In short: Bring something to eat if you plan on going there - you may be there all day!

The experience of buying a new Wrangler with the BayState team was far better than expected. I come from Europe and was very lost with all the process of buying a new car in the United States. I basically treated with Henry, Branko and the manager, John, and all of them helped me deal with all the processing. They all transmitted me a sense of security, trust and professionalism. I would for sure recommend BayState to everyone.

Could not have asked for a more delightful car buying experience. Henry was attentive and especially sensitive to my financial needs every step of the way. He was a pleasure to deal with combining complete professionalism with some fun mixed in too. He was knowledgable and able to answer all my questions, I walked away with complete satisfaction, and I will recommend Henry's services to my friends again and again.

I leased a Toyota RAV4 for two years and the lease was ending very soon. I was looking for an SUV for my family and I wasn't sure exactly which one would fit my needs. One day I stopped by the dealership, It was my best car experience ever. Even though my credit wasn't the best, everybody at the dealership was very helpful-especially Mr. Samson Moses. He was very patience and extremely helpful in getting me through the process of finding the right vehicle for my family. I got a beautiful black Jeep Grand Cherokee for my family, exactly what I wanted and I'm so happy. I would recommend this dealership to anybody. Thank you so much, I really appreciate it.

My wife and I were looking for a less common model of Grand Cherokee (altitude). Although this model wasn't on the lot they quickly located the vehicle with our specifications and had it there within days. Throughout the process we received daily email with updates on the current location of the vehicle. The purchase process was a breeze and everyone at the dealership was extremely helpful. When we're ready for our next Jeep, I wouldn't consider purchasing anywhere else.

Braeden Gregg and Corey (and Hayley at reception) were easy to deal with and made the transaction a pleasant experience. In shopping around, I dealt with difficult and abrupt people, so Baystate was quite refreshing.

I was in to buy a jeep and was a little unsure of what I wanted. The dealership was able to help me narrow down the options and colors I wanted but they didn't have it at the store so they went out and got me exactly what I wanted and I couldn't be happier. Thanks again.

Getting a car from Baystate was like being at the Ritz. Even though I did not buy a very expensive car, I was treated like a king. They never underestimated my knowledge of the vehicle, wasted my time showing me details, hid facts about the car, or pressured me into a sale. Days after telling him, Braeden Gregg remembered all of my special requests and went far out of his way to deliver and make my family's car dreams become reality. My family will always have happy memories of the very special day we got a car from Baystate.

My wife and I knew exactly what we wanted - 2015 Jeep Cherokee in Granite with black leather interior. We went the Tuesday before Christmas for a test drive with Jim Goldberg. He was very helpful and patient, so I took the afternoon off on Wednesday to negotiate. Jim wasn't there, but Samson helped me. They had nothing in Granite, but he showed me black. We passed on the black and asked them to locate one with our features in Granite; we even negotiated the pricing and all was well. We were informed to come back Friday (day after Christmas) and they'll hopefully have found one for us. We show up Friday, and they have the exact features, but still in black. We tell them to get that, but in granite, and they say it'll be there on Monday and we can com sign the papers on Saturday or Monday. We show up Saturday, and the jeep is $3000 more than originally negotiated... Long story short (somewhat), they wanted to charge US because they needed to acquire it from another dealer. sorry fellas, not my problem. The manager that was brought in to speak with us said that we could get the black one right then and there for the price negotiated... And after five days saying granite, granite, granite... We drove to colonial and left with our jeep within 45 minutes, in granite, and for $500 less than originally negotiated! Now, I believe that Jim and Samson were more than adequate and helpful. I believe management miscommunicated to them, and therefore them to us. So this rating is by no means a reflection on Samson or Jim. More the overall process and our experience with everything at Baystate in terms of buying the jeep there.

I've been purchasing vehicles from here since 2008 when I bought my first jeep wrangler. From my experience during the times I've gone in to buy, I found the salesmen to be very helpful and non pushy, and I've always been able to get the deal and trade value that I want. The real gem is the body shop, Chris and his people do wonderful work! Best body shop around by far!

My husband and I saw a Dodge Charger with AWD available for sale on Baystate's website. We called on a Saturday morning to make sure the vehicle was still on their lot because we were driving from RI, about an hour or so. The manager gets on the phone, and informs us that yes, the vehicle is still there but he cannot guarantee that it won't be sold before we arrive. First red flag. My husband informs him we will be up in about an hour or so and off we went. We arrive at the dealership, and low and behold, the Charger is no longer there. We sit in the office and the manager comes in, and informs us that a deposit was taken on the Charger the previous evening, and he did not know about it. The car was taken to this woman's shop to be checked out. I am sorry but as a manager, you absolutely know when a vehicle is about to be sold or a deposit is taken on the vehicle. It was a classic bait and switch. The sales person then tried to give us a nonsense amount for our trade in vehicle. 2,000 lower than what my car was worth. I decided then and there to get up and walk out. I find taking deposits on vehicles to be utterly absurd and then to straight out lie to a potential customer is terrible customer service and business practices. They also tried to tell us that the woman buying the car most likely won't be able to anyway because of her credit history. Who says that to anyone? It is none of our business what this person's credit history is and I am sure she would not have appreciated that being told to complete strangers. I wouldn't recommend this dealership to my worst enemy.

I purchased a 2011 Grand Cherokee from Baystate Jeep. While traveling in the middle of New York City my brakes failed and I was stranded. After my vehicle being stuck in NYC for (2) days I was finally able to get it towed to a Connecticut Jeep dealership to be repaired since Baystate would not offer any assistance. After (2) separate round trips to the CT Jeep dealer from MA I have my vehicle back. The brake booster failed in the Jeep which is an essential required component needed to stop the vehicle properly. After speaking with the General Manager at Baystate Jeep Dodge, he told me the failure was not a safety issue therefore Baystate would not help. Keep in mind I have only driven the vehicle roughly 2,600 miles since the purchase. I was baffled by his response, I was unable to stop the vehicle as designed and it was inoperable and he had the nerve to tell me that this was not a safety issue. As the conversation was coming to a close and very evident that Baystate would not be upholding their Warranty he told me that we could settle in court. I was shocked that the GM of a dealership would tell a customer that in order to get something fixed or attempt to be reimbursed for costs as a result of the failure I would have to take them to court.

Just bought a 2013 Wrangler from Baystate. I have to say, the process was very stress free and made me feel at ease the whole time. Keith was a great person to work with, very detail oriented and was focused on making sure everything went smoothly as I mentioned before. I would certainly return or recommend anyone I know to this dealership, Keith in particular.

I recently purchased a 2011 wrangler Unlimited Rubicon from a non Jeep dealer in the area. The vehicles first owner had mis-placed parts of the soft top. The dealership asked me to have the soft top inspected for a previous recall and to put together a parts list that they would then purchase. I explained the situation to the Bay State Service Manager and asked if someone could help me put the soft top up, check the recall and put together a parts list. I then explained that I lived close and would be using Bay State for service related issues and maintenance of this vehicle. The manager gave me a song and dance about having to stretch the roof fabric and also that the top probably wouldnt match new windows so I should just buy a whole new top. I then asked what he would charge to just put the top up, inspect it and put together a missing parts list. $150.00 is what it would cost for this service at Bay State! I then went home and in ten minutes put the top up and made a list of the needed parts. When I returned to Bay State I asked the Service Manager if it was a normal practice to take advantage of their customers? I received a shrug. When I approached the General Manager his responce was simply that he was sorry. This was a great test and suffice to say I will not be going to Bay State again.

A little hesitant at first, I drove up to Baystate from CT because they had the Durango I was searching for. From initial phone conversations to test driving, Mike Raffaele was fantastic. Very cooperative and upfront. The entire experience was casual and pressure-free. Working with Josh/Rick, they explained the entire transaction and did not try to hide any details like other dealerships. Very cooperative too with the CT registration process.Overall, it has been a long time since I had a good feeling walking out of a dealership - with or without a new car. Baystate was great from the beginning and still is even after I purchased the Durango. I would definately recommend my friends and family still up in MA.Great job guys!!

I had brought my Dodge Ram 2500 to Baystate dealership in Newton on November 22nd, 2011 and they repaired a transfer fuel pump at a cost of $721.02 and picked it up on November 25th, 2011. On December 1st, 2011, one week later, I had the truck towed back to them because it was having trouble starting, and staying started. On December 5th, they told me that I needed to replace the high pressure fuel pump and it would cost $3000.00 and never checked the part they just replaced a week prior. They just said they checked the pressure and that was ok. I had to pay another $352.50 in labor to them and I then had the truck towed somewhere else at a cost of $105.00 and they found that the transfer fuel pump replaced in Newton was cracked and that was causing the issues. I had to pay another $681.99 for that repair plus the cost of having a rental car during all this. I went to the Baystate with the repair bill and the cracked part and asked to be reimbursed for the first repair of $721.02 that obviously was not done properly. They said they would have to do some research, which I completely understood and gave them the time to follow up. I touched base over the next few weeks and was told they were waiting on something from the other repair shop and then they had to wait to see if the part would be warrantied by Chrysler, the maker of the part. Everytime I spoke to Dave, I let him know that reimbursement of the $220.00 part would not be satisfactory to me, as I felt they should not make me pay for labor for a job not done properly. I received a voicemail yesterday, January 11th, 2012, from Dave stating they have a check for me in the amount of $267.05 for the part plus tax. I left him a message to call me, and in speaking with him this morning, he stated that was all they were willing to do because I chose to take it somewhere else and that I didn't give them a chance to make it right. I reiterated that they had the chance when I brought it back a week later and they had it for four days and never looked at the part they replaced and that they do not stand behind their own work. At this time, I was again told that the part was the only thing warrantied and that was all they could do, so I told him that I was not accepting that check and would be in touch. He then told me that if I bought an appliance at Sears and it broke but I had the repair done through Target, Sears would not cover that repair either. I bet if Sears was given four days to fix it, they would cover the cost if they couldn't. He again stated I didn't give them a chance to fix it. It was there for four days the second time, is that not enough time for them? I don't think I am asking too much to expect a certain level of customer service when I spend $1073.52 in one week for something to be fixed. All I want is to get $721.02 back for the money spent the first time I had it there, is that too much to ask? I have never had to go back due to faulty work on a vehicle before and hope I never have to again. Breakdown of Money Spent: $721.02 Nov 22nd-Nov 25th(1st repair) Baystate Chrysler Jeep $115.63 Car Rental November 21st-23rd $352.50 Dec 1st-Dec 5th (Labor) Baystate Chrysler Jeep $338.94 Car Rental December 1st-10th $105.00 December 5th - Tow from Newton to Marshfield $681.99 December 10th (2nd repair) $2315.08 Total

Helpul staff, friendly, no pressure, knowledgeable about the vehicles, reasonable price. I found this dealership on autotrader.com. I received a response back about the vehicle within hours answering all the questions I had. When I came down to see the vehicle, a sales person was waiting for me and the car was ready. All questions were answered, gave me a reasonable price. Great experience.

I bought a certified pre-owned 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee from them over a year ago, and I'm overall happy with the car when it's working. Buying a certified pre-owned car, I took the assumption the car would not have any major or minor issues, but apparently I was wrong. My jeep has been back to the dealership to be "fixed" over a dozen times so far and it's still not fixed, apparently something as simple as a tire pressure issue is to hard for them. They were nice and helpful when I was purchasing my Jeep and when I signed up for an extended warranty, but when it came to a "simple" tire pressure issue, it was more like pulling teeth with them. It felt like I had to make them believe that there was an actual tire pressure problem after the third time bringing the car into the dealership. A number of times, I had to call the dealership to get answers from questions I asked previously, when they said they would call me and inform me of the answer. Within the last year, I have never seen my car salesman who sold me the Jeep and my original service associate, I can only assume they've been fired or asked to leave. Really disconcerting as a customer when you don't know if your going to have the same service personal you've been working with between services. Bottom line.... Expect good help, but poor knowledge when buying your new/used/pre-owned car from them. Don't expect your car to be fixed the first time, no matter how simple. And they're employees aren't worth befriending, because they probably won't be there for your next oil change.

FINALLY a great Chrysler dealership.I have dealt with five different Chrysler/Jeep dealerships since the purchase of my 2005 Chrysler 300 C, beginning with Farina Chrysler in Marlboro, Ma where my car was purchased in 2004. The dealership closed approximately two years after i purchased the car. The next dealership was Midway in Framingham, Ma. After they closed down I attended Brigham Gill in Natick Ma followed by Dan's Jeep in Westborough Ma and most recently Clark and White located in Newton, Ma. "Two outta five ain't bad." Both Farina and Clark and White dealerships were the only two that stand out among the rest and have provided me with exceptional customer service. Kudos to Mike Sobchuk for exemplary professionalism, patience, knowledge and honesty. I also want to acknowledge Chuck Sturgeon for his professionalism and also Louis Fouyolle for his help when he didn't have too. I am a new customer to this dealership, but i will continue to give my business to this dealership ship BECAUSE of the men I just mentioned. Sincerely, A. James 05 Chrysler 300 C

My company car is a Dodge Journey, and because of the newness of the car I am stuck going to a dealership for much of the maintenance and service. Unfortunately this means costly repairs, as they are always more expensive than other local auto service shops. But the real is issue is their service and speed. they never have the parts in stock for repair and take days I'd not a week to get them. My most recent repair was a coolant tank which was on backorder, and took 5 days to replace. This was a 2 hour job tops, yet I had to get a rental at my expense because a they as a Dodge dealership can get Dodge parts. This is not an isolated instance as I have had delays on other repairs, including a new key, that they could not get replacements for. Also the tell me ever single time that the repair includes a VIP Car Wash, which appears on the bill but never gets done. Clark & White should be avoided for all service. I will never own another Dodge vehicle because of them.
