Not very friendly service seemed like salesman didn't care about selling a vehicle

Not sure why some reviews are using terms such as "crook", I have bought 3 of my last 4 vehicles from Harvey. 2000 SS Cavalier, a 2006 VW Jetta Wagen TDI, and a 2006 Toyota 4Runner and never had a single problem outside of your normal maintenance work. Each vehicle had an average of 160k miles and the VW was even a former fleet vehicle! Harvey has always been fair and honestly I was able to negotiate much lower prices than I had planned without much effort. If you buy a vehicle from any used car business and you do not do your due diligence by inspecting the vehicle, researching known problems using online resources such as the NHTSA, CarFax, and even enthusiast forums specific to the vehicle then you have no one to blame but yourself. I would be willing to bet that most of the vehicles on the lot are trade-ins and auction purchases. No one can predict that something such as a transmission would go out 6 months down the road. I research a vehicle for at least a week as well as inspect it before, during, and after I take it for a test drive. Those insinuating malicious intent was involved are just reaching, to say the least. Now, if some of those "reviewers" had some type of proof such as Gear Oil deliberately put in the transmission to make it last for a few more weeks or some other blatant cover up then maybe some credibility could be lent to those reviews. We are all human and many mechanical problems (especially on newer vehicles) dont manifest slowly over time but rather will happen suddenly. Newer model transmissions are notorious for that and will likely get worse with the increasing amount of cheap electronics they are cramming in them. Thats why I feel much better in a pre '90s vehicle, built with few electronics, easier to work on, and for the price of a newer model auto trans you could buy a 6 speed Richmond Racing Transmission built like a tank rather than a ton of electronics shoved inside a pile of hot garbage adorned with a golden price tag. If you must have a newer vehicle then at least be thorough in your inspections and research before purchasing rather than making yourselves look foolish on a public review. Harvey's a good guy and I would be hard pressed to ever believe there was ill intentions on his part. Buyers in the used car market need to realize that they have just as much responsibility when buying a vehicle as the dealer does when selling a vehicle. Paying a good mechanic for a couple hours of his time to professionally inspect something you are about to spend thousands on seems like a no brainer and a worthwhile investment for some peace of mind. It's worth mentioning that I was looking for a 4runner a couple months back and I came across what seemed like a great deal on a 2006 4x4 from a dealer in Trenton. He assured me that it was bought brand new by his family and he was the second owner. I made sure to ask for the VIN# in case I wanted it so I could pay the 20$ for a CarFax. Well, that 20$ saved me about 4500$ and a large amount of stress because a simple google search on his business showed about 20 reviews all stating similar events. Many of the vehicles died before ever receiving a title and nearly all claimed that he took the money from the county taxes but never sent off for a title so they were unable to get a tag and legally drive it before catastrophic failure occurred. After seeing that I decided that it was best for me to not to do business with him and after pulling the CarFax out of curiosity I found that it was never owned by his family and having been a rental vehicle for much of it's life, totaled once, and at some point ended up being sold at auction in SC. Best 20$ I have ever spent even though I was not going to buy it after seeing so many similar stories in those reviews. The business in Trenton is Mountain Motors so if anyone happens across that place just keep driving. He's a real crook unlike Harvey.

I got my Colorado from them almost a year ago (September 29th) and I had some problems with it like the transmission and 4x4 not working right but it’s a used truck so I expected something would happen just because it’s used but other than that the people was real nice to do business with and if they welcome me back I’ll do business again with them (I gave a one star before about everything that happened to the transmission) but after thinking about it it’s a used truck and stuff is bound to happen to it

Fantastic dealership! Honest, upfront and to the point. They actually do what they say they will. I highly recommend buying a vehicle from Harvey's!
