As soon as I walked onto the show floor I was greeted and asked about how I was and what I was looking for. Even after the bank denied me a loan Brandon helped me and cut me a deal I could afford. I have been looking for a car about 2 mons.- One day I pulled into your car lot and spoke with a young lady named "Ashton." She and I talked about what I wanted and didn't want. She showed me several vehicles and e-mailed me pictures of ones that have come in. I never felt rushed or pressured about any vehicle when I finally made a decision on a car the finance department was awesome. I decided to stop and just look at used cars today at Gene Gormans Premier Car sales in Punta Gorda.1 1/2 hours later I left the proud owner of my dream car! I pulled into look at some cars and to see what I could qualify for. The guys in detailing acknowledged me first and went inside and got someone for me. Out cane a nice guy named John. We went into the building and he got some information from me. My friend, my boys and I walked around looking at the cars. John came out with some options on down payments. I did not have what he saying to me at the time. We tols him we would be back. Then out came Brandon and he had better sounding options do a little now and the rest when I get paid again. Well 2 days later I will be leaving here in the car I first looked at. And guess whatit's all mine. All because of these two nice guys John & Brandon.

Hi my wife and I saw an advertisement on facebook posted by John Sheik. Out of curiosity we decided to contact him and gave him a call. We were looking into a car; so on my day off we stopped in. The atmosphere was electric, the antithesis of a car buying experience. (in a good way ) The atmosphere was very relaxed low pressure, John was extremely helpful, and made the whole experience a wonderful one. We did the worst thing you can do to a salesman, we said we'd be back later (the horror ), however while we were deciding, we called someone we knew looking for a new car and gushed about our experience. I had done a Oil change from the Port charlotte garage.Then in 3 months 2 quats plus leaked out in a 2014 vechicle. Oils been leaking under the engine compartment.They never put the cover back under the engine. Lucky I was checking oil level & put some in the engine. Big location garages doing such a very poor job.

I had been in need of a car for a few weeks than I realized I need a car not today but "yesterday". Explored many options w/is SWFL. Cars I was interested in were way too far away - cars I was not even interested in were way out of my range requiring financing. The process with this dealership was both easy & through. I filled out their questionnaire - they called back the following late morning and that afternoon, I had purchase a vehicle - that was fully insured, under warranty and satisfactorly complete. Sales staff pleasant, knowledgable giving no pressure. This was indeed a pleasure.

The first car We ever bought from Gorman's was as good as it gets, no problems whatsoever...... The second vehicle was just the opposite. We were looking for an SUV for my wife and really didn't see anything we liked until Brandon [ The Manager ] drove in with one that they just got in that wasn't put in inventory yet. We looked it over and the salesman asked us if we would like to test drive it. During the drive the salesman pointed out some of the features, panorama roof, rear dvd, onstar etc. he also said it had Bluetooth and he would sync our phones to it if we were able to make a deal. After returning we agreed upon a price if they would fix some issues we noticed ie; touch up paint, remove scuffs from aluminum wheels etc. After all was agreed we went inside for the paperwork. I told them we would give a deposit and pay the balance when we picked the car up. Brandon asked if we could just pay in full because it was close to the end of the month so it would be on the books..... Normally I wouldn't do that but Hey this Gorman"s Right ????? It took a week to get the car I guess the paint took longer than expected, the wheels looked great and the detail work was fine '' I Thought '' . My wife drove it to work and it began to rain and whatever they used on the glass was smearing like grease and she damn near crashed the thing !!!!!! The salesman we dealt with was no longer employed at Gorman;s and I asked Brandon about syncing oour phones to the Bluetooth feature so he sent me to a radio shop in Port Charlotte, come to find out it isn't even equipped with it [ Bluetooth on this wasn't even available till the next model year ] . Both power mirrors didn't work so they ordered new ones and when I took it to have them installed the driver side had the wrong plug [ another trip back ] The detail shop fixed the problem with the glass and re-detailed the car , they did a nice job and were very polite. I went inside the office to speak with Brandon about not having the Bluetooth feature and he Flat Out told me he wasn't going to do anything more to this car period !!!!!! The car is also under recall and when I told him he just gave me a phone number to call [ My Problem ] We had a flat tire on the car so when I took it in for tires I found out it comes from the factory with 2 different size tires front one size back a different size [ Not Gorman's Fault ] no rotation on these lol.....So Stupid of this Mfg........ A month after the warranty expired the starter went out 400.00 to repair but as I say warranty was expired , still frustrating . Gene Gorman Auto Sales didn't get where they are today by what I've been through and hopefully others can learn from my experience. I will say that the repair shop personnel and the Detail folks deserve 5 stars can't say that about the ones at a Higher Pay Grade.....After this I won't be back even if Gene's Wife lets him " Give Em' Away "

Do not sign for your vehicle, don't walk run from these guys, Looked at a truck, liked the truck, truck was in an accident, truck clearly used to tow, truck had warranty, price was not flexible although told it was flexible from internet price of 19300 to 18300 if that would getting the deal done. Lied to about credit score, not given a credit report, was told they didn't want to sell me the vehicle even after they ran my credit and structured a deal, was told they would not hold vehicle for 24 hours not even with cash down mind you I was already financed all that was left was to sign the papers. When asked for management to handle the situation of not wanting to purchase from Bruce, I was told general manager Owen was out of town or not available until Tuesday of the following week. Filed a complaint, was told nothing could be done, requested credit report, nothing was done, Bruce told sales people that he would not sell me the truck, mind you Bruce I don't care if you got me 2 percent i wouldn't buy from you or Gene Gorman because of this experience. I will tell anyone who asks about this experience. The problems are with the entire Gorman structure, nobody looks forward to the car buying experience but there are a lot of places to shop for that big purchase as a sales manager or finance you need to thank every customer that buys a vehicle and try to keep there business, Your management team should be embarrassed on so many levels.. Oh and i think Falsely giving numbers about a credit score and refusing to give a credit report are serious problems so i'll be looking into that. I have now requested a credit report from three people start back stepping Gene Gormans RUN AWAY

Overall, we are very disappointed with our purchase from Gene Gorman's Auto Sales. Our salesman, Chris, was kind and friendly, but dishonest. He was willing to sell out his personal integrity for our benefit, which makes us wonder what he is willing to do for his benefit. There have been many "small" issues that have surfaced in less than a week in owning the car. Examples: * Our remote keyless entry fob doesn't work. We thought it was out of battery, replaced after purchase, but find out it is the wrong model fob for our vehicle. * The detailing crew did a very poor job in cleaning the vehicle. Animal hair, chewed gum stuck to a hanger hook, dirty/stained fabric we have since cleaned. * There's a low tire pressure issue which we were told would get "fixed" before we purchased. The light came back on, meaning their "fix" was insufficient. * Back windshield wiper rubber is torn and needs to be replaced (I did miss that on my inspection, but thought perhaps they'd catch it!). * There were some issues with settling on a price. We were first told we could "find" a price we agreed on, followed by hearing they couldn't offer the car at a lower price-which wasn't a big deal, except we were told we could negotiate. * On the car lot we were told we'd get a year of free oil changes. Paper work confirmed it was only "one" free oil change and that, only within a month. All of these issues combined, made a poor impression. We can't wholeheartedly recommend purchasing from Gene Gorman's and will likely never purchase here again.

They sell auction cars to people with lesser credit. They will try to sell you an expensive warranty that doesn't cover anything real. A garbage dealer!!! Don't waste your time,\. I don't like buying cars-it's a pain to me so I left it to my husband, I just told him what I wanted and he got it. He passed away last year and I got the job. So I came to Rick the manager on highway 41 in Port Charlotte and he had Bill Brown show me the car I was interested in and another car that I hadn't thought about, I bought the 2nd car with no pressure, lots of answers, and both Rick and Bill were extremely professional, nice, fun to talk with. In the beginning they seamed awesome but after I signed the dotted line I've been Very disappointed car broke down after 2 weeks over $500.00 tow and repair bill they wouldn't help at all except to defer my 1st payment to the end of loan. Had many issues come up the first 2 weeks not including the break down. They never return my calls. were suppose to fix some small issues have called numerous times to see if parts are in still no return call. I really thought they would stand behind their purchase boy was I buffaloed I call today still no call back and they tell me the sales man I dealt with is no longer their.

I came to Gene Gorman, Dirt Cheap cars, in Punta Gorda with my teenage daughter who is getting ready to go away to college We came in with a tall order. We needed a car that I could finance but she could pay a cheap monthly payment for. With this request, we had been all but laughed off of many other lots in the area. Steve Nell greeted us on the lot and NEVER made us feel like our request was a joke. he immedidtely asked what my teenage and I wanted out of a car. He told us we wouold figure something out. He showed us a few cars. My daughter found one she liked and Steve took us to talk ot Brandon. Brandon worked hard to find us a way to financially make it work for us. Thay made my 17 year old feel like she just got a brand new car! By the time we left, we felt like we had family at Gene Gorman's. My experience with John and Brandon was not just really pleasant but smooth and helpful. I originally drove all the way from Naples(1 hour away) The vehicle I came for had a question mechanically about. Brandon offered for me to have their mechanic take a look at. Because of that I declined it, but Brandon offered me another truck he was sure I would want. He was right. Logistically speaking living in Naples and the vehicle in Punta Gorda was easily addressed. I purchased my used Mini that was in good condition. Aside from the headliner falling down and a few minor cosmetic issues, it is near perfect. The stipulation for me purchasing the car was repairing the headliner- which of course, was never fixed. When I brought it up to them, the manager said "Sure, bring it by. It will take a day." I go back to pick it up after work and all they did was glue it in one spot. Not only was I inconvenienced for the day for something that DIDN'T get remedied, but I inconvenienced other people too. Now I have to pay out of pocket to have it repaired, which is going to be an additional $280. My fault for taking Brandon, the manager, for his word. Also, they made a mistake on the paperwork for two different reasons for the loan. So they harassed me repeatedly while I was at work TWICE until I was able to fix THEIR mistake. When I finally made my way up to Punta Gorda from Venice, which is over an hour away, they weren't there- it was empty, when John, the salesman, said via text, that they would be there for me to remedy THEIR problem. Also, they never sent me my transferred registration, causing me potentially have serious consequences if my plates were ever run by a trooper. This is quite possibly the most poorly run dealership that I have ever used. If I had not liked the car so much, I would have gone elsewhere. This used car dealership is the epitome of what a horrible, lying, misleading dealership is. Brandon is a liar and an awful manager. I will never use GENE GORMAN'S ever again! Lesson learned.

After shopping for weeks and running into pushy sales people from dealer to dealer, I finally ran into someone that was nice and had a warm welcome when we walked onto the lot. The young salesman Jason was easy to work with and I'm guessing was only in his early 20's. He helped me decide that my 2012 Honda Accord was the perfect vehicle for me. Bruce the finance manager also did a wonderful job on getting me an interest rate that I didn't even know was possible. I was very pleased with their professionalism and both of their personalities and would highly recommend buying a car there.

I RECENTLY BOUGHT A CAR FROM GENE GORMANS AND FELT LIKE I SHOULD SHARE MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE PUBLIC. NEVER IN MY LIFE HAS THE CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE BEEN BETTER. I FULLY UNDERSTAND I WAS BUYING A PRE OWNED VEHICLE, BUT I WAS REALLY SUPRISED TO SEE HOW EXTENSIVELY THEY WENT THROUGH THE CAR BEFOR I BOUGHT IT. THE MANAGER BRANDON GAVE ME A CAR FAX SHOWING ALL THE REPAIRS THAT THEIR AUTO SHOP DID UPON BUYING THE CAR. ON TOP OF THAT I RECEIVED A FREE OIL CHANGE AND A 3000 MILE WARRANTY AT NO COST TO ME. READING SOME OF THE REVIEWS ON HERE REAFFIRMED MY NEED TO SHARE THIS EXPERIENCE. NOT ONLY AM I VERY PLEASED WITH MY PURCHASE AND HOW I WAS TREATED DURING THE PROCESS, THE MANAGER ACTUALLY HAS HIS CELL PHONE NUMBER ON HIS BUSINESS CARD IF I SHOULD EVER NEED HIM. SO IMPRESSED, NOW I KNOW WHY GENE GORMANS BEEN AROUND SO LONG....
