Really good car buying experience. Kayla was easy to work with and made me feel perfectly comfortable. Nice change from my past experiences with car dealerships. I'm having a blast with my new Miata. Lot of car for the money.

I just leased a 2016 Mazda CX-5 and I love this car! This is my second time leasing from GEM Mazda and I have been pleased each time with the entire process! Thanks, David for being such an awesome Sales Associate and making this process easy and simple! Chris, thank you for being such a great Sales Manager to work with and my thanks to all of the finance team who worked quickly and even came in on their day off to complete the sale! This was a new auto purchase with none of the usual trauma-No pressure , no must buy now deals and no farfetched promises! What a change from past experiences. David and Billy were professional,friendly and HONEST. We were introduced to all departments. Our questions were patiently answered and no one pushed us to a specific car. We decided on a CX 5 and love it!!!! There can't be a better car dealer in Tallahassee! As the Publix saying goes-"Shopping at GEM is a pleasure"

After much research, my spouse and I decided to trade in our car for a 2014 Mazda 2 iSport or Mazda 3 iTour hatchback. It was obvious to us that Mazda had a clear lead over all competing makes of that class - especially in road safety. We called Gem Mazda and were cordially invited to visit; we did so later that same day. Right from the moment we walked into the show room, we felt genuinely welcome. Moreover, our salesman accompanied us on an extensive test-drive of the Mazda 3 iTour. He was highly engaging and carefully highlighted all the car's fine features. Both of us were impressed with his "light touch" salesmanship style. By the time we returned to the show room, we knew we had found just the car we were hoping for. Moreover, everyone at Gem Mazda ensured that the trade-in and purchase transactions were excellent in every respect. In sum, we got a new wonderful car at an equally wonderful "out-the-door' price. But far more than that, we have made new friends we can count on. Gem Mazda is tops!!!

in 2012 I purchased a Mazda 6 brand new from gem mazda. They had great customer service when I was in the process of purchasing my car. And ever since I have brought my car to no one but them and never had any issues with any questions or problems I had concerning my car. I recommend them 10/10 to everybody with or without a Mazda. in the beginning of my car search I was 19 years old and did not look as if I was able to buy a new car but the salesman "David Rhoe" treated me with respect and He completely sold me on my wonderful brand new "Pearl White 2012 Mazda 6 iTouring"

I am a mother of a student at FSU. My daughter had to go to this dealership for service. One of her tires had a nail in it. I was worried about that particular brand of tire. The rep that helped me, provided sound advice. And I took her advice. The below is the email I sent to their website, regarding the service provided. Not because of Mazda, but because they hired someone like you--a Mom who knows what Mothers worry about. I purchased my first Mazda from Gem a few years ago and since then, my son and my sister have also purchased their automobiles from Gem. The sales staff is very easy to talk with and there is no sales pressure. The service department headed by Joanna is second to none; their work ethic top notch. I would highly recommend if you are looking to purchase an automobile, go to Gem and you will not be disappointed. Love the Saturday morning service availability.

I have purchased two new cars from Gem Mazda. I love Mazda cars for their handling, but I've gone to Gem because of the trust I have for their service department. The service manager, Joanna, is professional, competent and HONEST. I totally trust her judgement regarding what my car needs and am grateful that Gem employs such a professional.

Only great things to say about this dealership--especially the Service Department. Over the last 15 years, I have purchased three cars from the dealership and leased one. I have been very pleased with the sales and lease experiences I have had. The dealership and everyone that I have dealt with are TOTALLY customer oriented, the dealership is immaculately clean--including the service area. Also, over this 15-year period, no one else has serviced or repaired my vehicle, and I have purchased any tires, brakes, windshield wipers, etc., from them as well. It has always been a pleasure to deal with the Service Department and especially the Service Manager, who has remained the same for as long as I have been using this dealership. She is efficient, professional, knowledgeable, and courteous--very hands-on when it comes to what is going on in her department. In fact, the Service Department and its Manager and the way that they keep my vehicles always running efficiently are the main reasons I keep coming back--again and again--to this dealership. This morning, I had a 7:30 a.m. appointment to have my oil changed. They took my car promptly at 7:30, I sat in their open, lovely lounge area watching a big-screen TV while my car was being serviced, where they offered me coffee and snacks while I waited, and I was on my way to work by 8 a.m.--bill, including tax, $38.65. As always, left feeling good about the service I received and the people I did business with.

I love my car!!! When buying a car the service is a big part of the process! The people at Gem Mazda make the process so easy! They explain everything and honestly look out for the best interest of the customer! I drive all the way from Georgia just to have them change my oil! I enjoy seeing all of them every 3000 miles and all their new products and promotions they offer!

Great experiences with Gem Mazda Service and Parts department. We bring my mazdas and my families vehicles other than mazdas (Nissan, Dodge, and Chevrolet) to be serviced and repaired here due to their honesty and efficiency. Both service and parts are top notch and I would not hesitate to recommend them to everyone I know. Not once have I had a bad experience or not trusted what they report on our vehicles. I will be a customer for life as long as I keep having great experiences dealing with them.

I am on my third Mazda and have had great results with all three vehicles. The customer service you receive from the purchasing of your vehicle to the service department is number one in my book. Have and will again recommend Gem Mazda to my friends and famly when they are looking for a new/used car, or a great service department.

This is by far the worst repair shop I have ever taken a car to. Normally, I like to bring my car to the dealership to get it repaired but this is not the case for this establishment. Last time I went in there they quoted me 3k for a myriad of unnecessary parts. How do I know they were unnecessary? I took my car to the Mazda dealership in West Palm the very next week and they quoted me a hundred dollars. When I asked about all the other parts Gem Mazda told me I needed replaced, they laughed and said I absolutely did not need those. The time I went before that my TPS light had been going on and off despite me filling up the tires. Gem Mazda told me that I must have not done it correctly and just put air in them (for 200 dollars). I argued with them that this was not the issue and they told me to bring it back if it went off again. I was not even out if the parking lot before it went off again. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy z

Excellent service and honest employees! They took great care of me and my vehicle. I would highly recommend them! As soon as I reported a problem they took my car in and explained everything very carefully. I have never experienced better service in Tallahassee, Florida.

I had a great experience buying a used Honda Civic from Gem Mazda. My salesman was David Rohe, who gave me a good deal on the car and made the whole process easy and pleasant. I was very satisfied with his excellent service and relieved that I never felt pressured or deceived at any point. David was fabulous - ask for him!

STarting from the owner and the management team are great and then the sales team very good.Product quality is great and I always recommend to purchase a Mazda, today we have two and my wife and I feel great about doing service to our cars and the friendship with this team.

I have had my car serviced there on many occasions and have always received prompt, friendly, and overall excellant service. If there was a problem I was having with my car and I told the service manager then she would not stop until she resolved the problem. I like that....They are certainly customer oriented which is something that is rare this day and time.

All services performed on my car goes through Mazada. I deviated from this rule once and would never do that again! Their staff is polite, work gets completed when promised and always for the price I expect. I often sit and wait for an oil change and am amazed at how they give each customer personal attention. In most cases they no them by name when they walk in the door. I have been a Mazada owner for 28 years. Wouldn't buy anything else!

I have purchased a used tribute from Gem Mazda in first part of 08. The service at Gem Mazda is outstanding and they have always taken great care of my vehicle and any problems that my vehicle has had. They have a very experienced staff and I have had no problems with the work they have done on my vehicles. They are timely, friendly, reasonable, and outstanding quality of work. I would highly recommend them to anyone to include my closest friends.I always use the service department for all my vehicle needs.

horrible cars to begin with. customer service only makes you mad. my car has been in their shop for 4 days and still has not been diagnosed yet. i cant get a rental car without a diagnostic and gem mazda is dragging their ass big time. two cars in their entire shop(including mine) and the 1 mechanic that was there looks to be about 100 years old and was sitting in a chair looking outside the shop staring into space. the customer service is outrageous. a total ass and a dumb one at that. keeps telling me the diagnostic should be done by end of the day...3 days ago. my personal mechanic that i took the car to first looked at it for 45 minutes and gave me a list of all the was wrong: motor is worn and needs to be replace, evaporative emissions system has a small leak, transmission is not communicating with the rest of the car(pcm?), etc... do not buy mazda unless you want a migraine and to be ripped off.

Best car buying experience I've had in my 63 years! It was a difficult deal, upside down loan, low value trade-in and other issues. Scott and Mike worked EXCEPTIONALLY hard to find a way to make a deal work. It took two days, we found a solution, and then...MUCH to my surprise, the interest rate on the loan was 6%, payments affordable, and both Scott and Mike were ever encouraging, never gave up, never told me, "Ain't gonna happen." As to "why" about my ratings, it's simply because I was treated with the utmost respect, consideration and friendliness. I was never pressured, there were no "extras" that they pushed at me, such as undercoating or any other expensive but purely profit for the dealer. I would recommend Gem Mazda to anyone and the little Mazda 3 5-door that I got is "Velocity Red" and for me...that's JUST what I wanted.Superior dealer, excellent staff. A FIRST RATE experience from the moment I walked in the door!

I had a very good experience at Gem Mazda, mostly due to the salesman, Scott Dunlap. I went to the dealership to look at new cars. Scott is very knowledgable and asked all the right questions to find the best car for me. I love my new Mazda 6 and would recommend him, and Gem Mazda to my friends and family.

This was probably the best experience I've had purchasing a new car in years. This is my 13th car in the last 2 years and have dealt with a lot of people in that time. I was truly amazed that I could get a Mazda Miata Touring at only $1000 more than the nearest used a 2 year old Miata with 19,000 miles. I would say that I am a demanding buyer, but Gem Mazda were able to satisfy me at every step of the purchase including the financing.I have owned many types of cars including a Porsche Boxster and I can with hand on my heart say I would not pay the $20,000 difference. Every day I tell my wife that this little car is the best I've ever driven.Many thanks to Ken and his team for an excellent experience.Andrew, Pelham, GA

My experience with Gem was an interesting one, but overall I would classify it as a very good experience. My 3 year old Mazda CX-7 broke down during a road trip and had to be towed to the closest dealer which happened to be Gem Mazda. Their service staff treated my wife with a great deal of respect and did everything they could to help her get a rental car and be on her way to pick me up....while I was stuck waiting near where the car had broken down. The staff worked hard to get the vehicle repaired by the time we were traveling back through the area. Unfortunately the same issue repeated itself quickly after we picked up the car and we were stuck at the dealership. At that point the owner Ken stepped in and began to work with us personally. THough the service manager, Will, came in on his day off to try and help the situation I was fed up with the car and just wanted to trade it in so we could get back home. I approached Ken with the idea of trading it in for a truck. He went out of his way to find us a vehicle and work a deal with another local company. He gave us a fair value for our car (due to the circumstances very fair) and more importantly treated me with respect and courtesy. I was an anxious buyer, but he did not attempt to take advantage and quite to the contrary worked me an excellent deal for a vehicle I am very satisfied with. Allen and the sales team got us through the paperwork while ensuring the vehicle was gassed up, detailed and ready to go. All and all I have never been to a dealer who was so willing to show me the numbers behind the deal and be upfront. I would not have bought a vehicle otherwise. Both the owner and Allen, have since followed up to make sure we made it home alright and that I was happy with my purchase.I would recommend this dealership and felt I was treated with the respect the very frustrating situation deserved.

If you want to be jerked around in every possible way- by all means go to Gem Mazda- you will love it. If you expect to be treated decently- RUN!!!! This is an office of people that might seem nice at first but will quickly show their ineptitude. They sold me a car with 35,000 miles on it that needed a brand new engine. The engine was clogged with oil from a previous owner not doing oil changes. They saw this problem and poured clean oil over it so when you check the dipstick it looks clean. They saw a problem and as apposed to fixing it they pushed it off. Then the warranty that they sold me-VOID! They couldn't even enter their paperwork correctly. They sold me a warranty for a vehicle that has less miles so the warranty company voided it out. Then they never told me about the problem! 2 weeks after I purchased the car I was driving and it broke down. I called my warranty company for roadside assistance but I couldn't get any because I had no warranty on file. I couldn't get a tow or a rental car because I was not on file. It took asking Gem Mazda nicely, less nicely, and then out right screaming and yelling before they lifted a finger to help. This happened over 2 months ago and I am still waiting for a rental car reimbursement and tow reimbursement. How dare I expect my like-new car to drive for more than 2 weeks after I purchase it! Consider this your warning!

My husband and I went to Gem Mazda to seek out any good used cars. Our price range was low, around $5000, and we went in to see if they had any cars that fit that description (below $5000, good condition, normal mileage, stick shift, approximately $175 per month in car payment). The salespeople were rude and tried to talk us into getting a new car because it would be a better use of our money. After speaking with the manager, who laughed when we told him our price range, he proceeded to tell us we would NEVER find a car that fit that description at his dealer let alone anywhere in Tallahassee. We told him that was not true - we had already seen a couple. He told us he would show us some cars around our monthly range and then gave us the numbers for cars that were around $275-$300 per month. The staff DO NOT listen to customers and Gem Mazda will NEVER get our business.
