Friendly and knowledgeable service. We bought a 2013 Civic and 2014 Accord. Our salesman Roger was polite and helpful throughout the process. Of course we had the all to common negotiation period but after some back and forth we came to some common ground and made the deals. So now we begin the honeymoon phase and we will see how things work out with our future interactions.

We love the Honda Accord. We just leased our 3rd Accord from Cardinal Honda. We have a great relationship with Bob Guffey, our sales rep, and have gone back to see him every time. The experience is so pleasant and relaxing. There are no high pressure tactics at this dealership. We love the clear and simple pricing structure. The dealer quote was very close to what I had looked up on both Edmunds.com and KBB.com so I was very pleased. We test drove both the Sport SE and the EX-L trims and decided to go with the EX-L because of the passenger side view camera and the remote start. When we picked up the Accord, Bob walked us through how everything in the car worked. He showed us how to set up our smartphones with the car's bluetooth capabilities and also the Android Auto app that lets you use Google Maps on the car's screen. We recommend this dealership to anyone considering the purchase of a Honda.

The HR-V SUV replaced my 4th Honda, a 2000 CRV. My salesman David Briggs listened to me, explained my options clearly and came up with a solution to my want for a lime green car. The car I was interested in purchasing was 16 years newer than my CRV. David explained everything on the dash...it was all so new and techy. The HRV was not available in lime green so David suggested I have the body side moldings painted energy green. The green was the perfect touch on my new white vehicle. And David made my dream happen. Cardinal Honda took the extra time to make my experience fun and one I'll never forget. Thank you Cardinal Honda for joining in on the energy green excitement! Many people love my custom car :)

We have been loyal customers for years buying a number of cars from Cardinal. Unfortunately their customer service has been terrible and we will now be looking elsewhere. They don't stand behind their maintenance or repairs. We have had to pay extra or for the same repairs to be done by another mechanic. Very disappointed!

UPDATE: I'm going to make this as simple as possible. After the "courtesy fix" August 15th, the glaze wore off and you can see all the circular buff marks in my car, along with the original scratches and fading on my trim from running the buffer over it. I do not own a buffer, it's mysterious how they got there after the courtesy fix, but Cardinal has refused to take responsibility. I received an estimate for the damage from one professional detailer for Cardinal to front the bill. They have refused to help or pay for it.This was not about money or getting a freebie, it's about a company taking responsibility and being accountable for their actions.Simple as this:-I was told a full investigation was performed on my situation, I have asked for a copy of that. No answers for 1+ week-I have inquired about the video footage for both of my appointments August 1st, and 15th - Unanswered.-I have not been disclosed the exact details of the service performed on my vehicle August 15thI have kept a detailed log, but dealing with this has been pitiful, I'm 100% done with this company and will not recommend anyone in my circle of influence to go to them. Take note from the other recent review that says "They don't stand behind their maintenance or repairs." I am not alone.I will now have the paint corrected on my car by a professional detailer.Thank you.Ignore the comments below as well. UPDATE 8/15/16: Got an appointment to get it detailed, and now it is back to how I originally had it, I would still recommend you be cautious if you have a black exterior. In my notes for service it now says to not wash my vehicle. The recon manager who was very nice, was surprised at all of the brush strokes you could see on the car, but said he would take care of it and certainly did. The original salesman Alex took care of the loaner vehicle, and he is always very nice as well.I would like to say my dealings with the actual facilitator were ok at best, he made it a point to tell me how disappointed he is I posted on review sites before calling. I was told this twice over the phone, and again at my appointment. Is that not what working in online reputation management all about? Receiving feedback and responding positively to customers whether their feedback is good or bad? I am very responsive to situations that are handled in a positive manner or worded in a way that is not condescending. I would have been more than happy to remove this completely or 5 star it if it was facilitated differently. Regardless, a Thank you to the recon team for taking care of it and seeing the issue at hand, and my original salesman.Original 8/1/16: _____________________________________________I thought I was doing myself a favor by going to the dealer to get an oil change. The oil change was fine, but they decided to wash my BLACK accord thinking it would be a 'bonus' when in fact all they did was completely cover my car in spiderweb scratches with a 'soft' brush. I take the time to hand-wash my car with a microfiber mit because I know exactly how to wash a black car without doing exactly what these guys did to my entire exterior. My care of the way I wash my car is now completely undone because they took it upon themselves to do a 3 minute quick wash of my car when I just wanted my oil changed and I'm left with a ton of fine-line scratches all over my car. Can clearly see how they washed it in a circular motion creating a ton of spiderweb scratches. NOTICEABLE on black.

If you want an easy and pleasurable car buying experience, Cardinal Honda is the place to go. Kenny, the sales associate, did a fantastic job in searching the inventory for me and finding me a handful of cars that would fit my needs. As we test drove a few different models he helped me narrow it down to the Civic LX that I ended up buying, and did so in a non aggressive/low pressure manor. After I found the car and was certain it was the right choice, Chris the business manager, helped tailor its financing. The whole process was easy, and I felt very comfortable with everyone working on getting me into a new car at this dealership. I would highly recommend Cardinal Honda to anyone searching for a new or used car!

I would like to than the folks at Cardinal Honda for employing such a professional, friendly, family oriented staff!~ Especially to my sales representative, Bob Guffey. From the moment I arrived at Cardinal Honda I felt like I've been there before by the way I was greeted. I'm a shopper, but after visiting Cardinal Honda I was convinced this was a one stop shop. On my second trip with my wife and two kids, it even got better. This was such an easy buying experience that it is had to capture all the bood in one written review. Bob's patience and demeanor are above merit. I feel as though he became part of our family. He even spent time with my two young children while my wife and I spoke in private about the wonderful vehicles we saw and test drove. At the end of the evening we purchased our new Honda CR-V and love it! The final experience with the Business Manager, Chris, was seamless and smooth. In no time I was on my way in my new vehicle and truly loving life. I plan on coming back for their next free luncheon to promote this superb dealership.

I purchased a 2016 Honda Pilot a few weeks ago from Peter Schmidt at Cardinal Honda in Groton, CT. This dealership is amazing - they are so professional and easy to work with. Excellent communications, no pressure atmosphere, every person I dealt with was very professional and great to work with. The facility itself is beautiful and comfortable (don't make you feel pressured like some dealerships). It's well run and everyone is very knowledgeable with their portion of the transaction. They are very fair with trade-ins and kept in touch throughout the process. I felt like part of their family when I was done. This was my 3rd purchase using this dealership and I highly recommend them to anyone in that area, or willing to drive to work with a good dealer! (We do - we drive an hour to work with them - and every bit of it is worth it!!!) Ask for Peter Schmidt too - he was super to work with. My first experience working with Pete.

I had a great experience at Cardnial Honda. Eric, my salesperson, got me into a Honda Civic even though I was looking for an SUV. After my test drive, I immediately knew I had to have a Civic! Eric was very nice and informative. I never felt pressured. So, I was already sold when Jeff Gimmick gave me a tutorial on gas mileage and what a difference from the SUV's I have always driven in the past. This was a huge part of why I bought this car. Good job Jeff! This great car practically pays for itself. In addition, it has great pick up, smooth ride, cool digital dash board and looks great! Chris, the financial manager sealed the deal and really made the process painless. That same day, my son and I received a very nice send off by the entire staff at Cardnial Honda and I drove away in my new Civic! Great crew, great car. I would highly recommend this dealership.

My family purchased a certified pre owned minivan from Cardinal Honda. Eric Kao was so great to work with he held the minivan for us while we tried to work with a less than dependable buyer for my husbands Harley. In the end the buyer for the motorcycle neglected to show up to purchase the bike after about 3 weeks of back and forth. My husband went to Cardinal explained what happened and Jeff from Cardinal ended up taking it as a trade-in so we could purchase our new family vehicle. This is a great place to go to buy a vehicle. Our family really needed a bigger car to haul us all around and we were able to find the perfect fit for us. We've been buying cars from Cardinal Honda and Peter Schmidt for many years (at least 6 cars from them in the last 20 years.) They're a dealership that stands behind their work and they don't try to sell you more than you want if you have a budget. We've bought both new and certified used from them and are happy with the vehicles and service. So happy, that we took our mom from Rhode Island to buy a car there and they took care of the details and registration for her, even though she's from another state. The Honda financing also beat the USAA interest rate she had, and Chris in finance did a great job explaining everything line by line so that she was comfortable with the financing package. They always go above and beyond in their customer care.

Just want to begin by saying that My experience with Honda couldn't have been any better if it wasn't for Peter S. He's a great asset to Honda and are very lucky to have him. It's very hard to find amazing customer care, with Peter I felt comfortable, I felt like I was getting the Best Buy for my buck. He was very honest, very caring and very motivated. The drive he had was unratable. He made sure me and my fiance were completely satisfied with our purchase. He also ran the extra mile to insure any little issue our pre owned vehicle had was token care of as soon as possible. I usually wouldn't let my fiance take care of anything that has to do with our vehicles on her own but I knew that with Peter she was in great hands. I went to see Peter Schmidt at Cardinal Honda. Several people I know have personally made purchases from him and have always had high praise. They were absolutely correct! Peter was a pleasure to work with. I feel he went above and beyond. I let him know what I had seen on his lot and what I had seen on other Honda dealer lots and he did all the research and got all the answers I needed and even though I decided to wait on the purchase he treated me as if I just purchased a brand new vehicle. Typically, purchasing a new vehicle is not a pleasant experience. Robert Cushman changed that. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and honest in answering my many questions and assisting me in purchasing the right car. I made two trips to Cardinal Honda, both of which I met with Robert. On the first visit he showed me various cars and we test drove them. Over a weekend on a Sunday, I contacted Robert who was on a trip with his family and told him I was ready to buy and could he meet me at the Dealership the next morning. He did and I purchased a new Honda Accord. From start to finish the process was totally transparent and a pleasure to experience. All Dealership personnel including the Business Manager, Chris, went out of there way to ensure all my questions were answered. I came into Cardinal Honda looking for a used car that was small and very good on gas. Eric Kao was the first dealer to come up to me and he made me feel very comfortable from the get go. He showed me around the lot and took the time to explain all the cars that were used and even some of the older models that were in my price range. We had the pleasure of working with Rob Cushman, who was extremely knowledgeable, patient and attentive to our needs. He made sure to point out many of the things that we discussed during the test drives. This was helpful and we learned more about some of the options we ended up choosing. Once we decided on the vehicle, the buying process was smooth, efficient and easily completed the same day. The function of the overall facilities was fully synchronized. Each step and person in the process was fully prepared to fulfill their role as soon as they were called upon. There was virtually zero down time. I was in the market for a used truck. I stopped in at Cardinal Honda when I saw a very good looking truck on the lot. I met Rob Cushman and we took it for a test drive and to my regular mechanic. The frame was very rusted. I told Mr. Cushman that I would not buy a truck in that condition. He called me that afternoon and said that Toyota had a recall on this model of truck. I got a new frame and a few other items under Cardinal's excellent used car warranty. Dealing with Mr. Cushman was a very pleasant experience, he was helpful throughout the buying process. I went to cardinal just to look around at a new vehicle. A salesperson came up and asked if I needed any help at all. I was looking at an accord. The salesperson told me everything about the accord even showed me a few other vehicles . He was very knowledgeable about every vehicle he showed me. I know Honda is a good vehicle to own just wasn't sure what to go with between the accord civic crv pilot. The salesperson showed me each vehicle and told me all about them. He did a wonderful job I would recommend him to anyone that goes there. I ended up getting an accord and love it. The salesperson name was David Briggs. We had just left another dealer that we had previously bought 3 cars from where we had an appointment and they left us standing around for almost an hour. So we had decided to go to Cardinal Honda and look at a used CRV and our salesman Robert Cushman was very knowledgeable and helpful. There was no high pressure sale or trying to push us into a different model or new CRV. It was a very pleasant and painless experience from start to finish. We were in the dealership less than an hour and had an appointment the next afternoon to pick up our new (used) car. When we arrived the next day, Robert greeted us and all the paperwork was ready and we were on the road in under 30 minutes. Overall a five star experience and the reason I will return to Robert and Cardinal the next time I'm in the market for a Honda.

On December 28th I had an appointment to have my Honda serviced. I received emails and phone calls reminding me to be on time. I arrived on time and I waited almost two hours before my Honda was taken in to be serviced. I was given various reasons for the delay and was ignored when I paid my bill and complained about the delay. Didn't even get "we are sorry". You can be sure I will never have my Honda serviced there again and will certainly not buy another car from that agency. As you can tell I am very unhappy with the way I was treated.

I was most impressed with his knowledge of the vehicles, their features, options and nuances. After the purchase he spent time going over all the features of the vehicles with my wife and I, connected our Cell Phones via Bluetooth and offered continued service after the sale. I went to Cardinal Honda in Groton beceause a previous vehicle was brought in for Warrenty Service. I was so impressed with courteous, efficient and professional experience with the Service Department that I made Cardinal Honda a visit when it was time to buy a new vehicle. I purchased a vehicle for my Grand Daughter as a Graduation present. My Cardinal Honda Representative was Mr. Walter Groux who was Efficient, Courteous, Knowledgeable and Accommodating. I test drove the vehicle but wanted my Grand Daughter,who was at school, to view and drive the vehicle before we completed the transaction. Representative Groux readily agreed to hold the vehicle until she could test it but he was confident that it would meet and surpass her expectations. He was correct. We've purchased three new Hondas from Cardinal--two with Walter Groux as our salesperson. Here's what I'll tell you. If your objective is to get the to-the-penny best deal on a new Honda you can find, Cardinal is not your place. But having gone through this exercise three times, I can say: Cardinal really comes close to the absolute lowest price--generally within a couple hundred dollars. For this minimal extra cost I have found I get the following: 1) time, frankly, to do other things than canvassing multiple dealerships in the Northeast; 2) respect; and 3) quality people to interact with--something you sadly don't get with many, many other car dealers. Walter embodies this ethos, and I recommend him (and Cardinal) if you're considering a new Honda. Please don't misunderstand. I'm not saying trust them blindly. You still need to do all your homework. We simply have concluded--three times now--that the Cardinal price, plus the experience offered through interactions with professional sales staff such as Walter, has been the best deal we could find.

Customer service - Good. Service people, parts people, sales people and general staff all seem bright-eyed & bushy tailed and ready to help. Just 1 minor complaint. The car computer for a 2014 CRV tells you when service is due. I would like a ball park milage/time number for each of the planned maintenance. Can't seem to get that answer from the service people. Buying process - Excellent. Bought a CRV with Walter's help. The buying process is straight forward. There are only 3 or 4 moving parts/decisions to make. Walter was on top of each decision/step in the process. Facilities - Excellent The waiting room has 2 sections - 1 with a TV and one without. It was so good to be in a waiting room without having to listen to a TV!

We enjoyed working with Walter Groux who was personable and could answer all of our questions. We literally walked in of an afternoon and purchased the car right then and there. We also found the buying process very easy as the price is the price. Walter also helped with the vin check as our police department has very limited hours. As we took possession of the car, It was a bit uncomfortable to have the entire company come and applaud as we left. We are Rhode Island residents who were buying a car in Connecticut and obviously the tax and registration rates vary. They registered the car and a couple of weeks later, we received a refund in the mail. A very pleasant surprise!

I bought my 2nd Odyssey this past year and I'm absolutely pleased with the vehicle, the dealership, the service, and the performance of the van. But I'd like to give particular credit to Alexander Davis. I intiially went to him to try to find a pre-owned Odyssey that would be in my price range. I wanted some specific new technological improvements in the van that would make driving safer for a senior citizen like myself. Finding that kind of vehicle that I could actually afford was beginning to look rather hopeless. But Alexander didn't give up on me. He hung in there and kept looking and trying to find what I need, knowing full well that it would be a tough job. But then he got creative with the search and suggested that I look into leasing a brand new van rather than buying an old one. I've never leased before and was very nervous about leasing. I have owned Hondas for the past 40 years. Last Christmas I decided to buy myself a present and purchased a new Honda Pilot. As always, I shopped around trying to get the best deal I could, not only in price but in service. Service is especially important to me. Because of my experience with Cardinal Honda, I found the best deal through their salesman, Jeffrey Duscha. He was especially helpful during the purchasing process, explaining all of the car's features, and finally getting me the best deal he could. I picked up my Honda on New Year's Eve, during a snow storm. After all papers were signed and I was given the keys to my new car, Jeffrey took the time to help transfer my belongings from my old Honda to my new Honda in the middle of the snowstorm. I am sure he was cold and wet by the time we finished and I thank him for all his help during this process.

We just bought a 2013 Honda Pilot from Cardinal Honda and had a wonderful experience. David Briggs, our sales associate, was patient with our questions, knowledgeable about the SUV, and very honest and personable. We test drove a 2016 Pilot to confirm this was the vehicle we wanted and then we were pleasantly surprised to discover that a 2013 Pilot had just been traded-in and was being prepped for re-sale. We test drove the 2013 and Toby, the used car manager, quoted us an excellent price so we bought it. When we went to pick up the Pilot two days later, we were delighted to find out the service garage had re-surfaced the brakes and installed four new tires in addition to ensuring that our Pilot met all the strict criteria of a "CERTIFIED VEHICLE". We have only had the Pilot for three days, but we can already see that it as abundant power, plenty of amenities, with lots of passenger room and storage areas. We did have an issue with window etching which was quickly resolved by David and an apologetic manager. We were treated fairly and immediately compensated for the error. We will not hesitate to go back to David Briggs and Cardinal Honda for our next vehicle.

My wife and I decided it was time to buy brand new. We did a lot of homework and investigating of models and dealerships. And I mean A LOT! We narrowed the model down to the Honda HR-V. We ultimately chose Cardinal Honda because of David Briggs, the sales associate that worked with us for almost 2 months during our search. We never felt pressured, were never given a typical sales pitch, and he didn't call us constantly while we were deciding what we going to choose. He was very patient with us as we kept coming back with more questions and details. The day we test drove the car, he also had a training session with a new salesman named Tom. David must have been training him right because Tom never pressured us either. The purchase day involving all the paperwork was relatively painless. And David has been in touch since then with some updated information for our new model car. He was very knowledgeable about all of the Honda models, and gave us great information in helping us choose the right car. We chose this Honda dealer mainly because of the extended warranty, but we would choose them again even without it. It was our first new car in 8 years, so there was much to learn, and they couldn't have been more patient and helpful. They even managed to find a red one for me, and it wasn't easy. Heck, even the finance guy was actually enjoyable to work with--explained everything and made sure we understood what we were signing. Not sure of their names (except Steve-the-finance-guy, and Yvonne-our-salesman), wish I could remember them though. They deserve some recognition.

I have just puchased my 14 th car , a Honda Crosstour. The car was my focal point but the customer service at Cardinal was second to none. I have owned a Camaro, Audi, Maxima, Altima, Acura, and Lexus but I have to say I never shopped at Cardinal, well that will end because if I need another car I will surely go back to Cardinal Honda. My salesperson was J D and never once was pushy and went out of his way to accommodate me. After we sealed the day the whole dealership came out and there must of been 50 people who work throughout the dealership gave me a warm welcome to the Cardinal Family and that's how I felt. I went to Cardinal Honda about a month and a half ago looking for a used Honda Pilot with certain specifications. I met with David Briggs who said, unfortunately, they did not have anything on the lot at that time. David and I then spoke with the Used Car Manager, Toby, and they assured me they would find the right vehicle. David contacted me at least once a week to keep me posted on the search. On September 29, 2015 David asked if I could come in to see a Pilot coming in on trade in the next 15-20 min, I went straight there and they had in fact found me the perfect car, at an excellent price! The next afternoon I arrived and met with Matt, the business manager to go over all of the financials. He was extremely helpful and answered any and all questions I had with patience. The entire process was so easy and they made me feel so comfortable with my purchase decision. I was really pleased with the level of service and professionalism from everyone at Cardinal Honda. Buying a new car can be a very stressful time for most people. I am happy to say that was not the case with Cardinal Honda. I did my homework and I knew what I wanted and what I was willing to pay so both the dealership and I were happy with the deal. Walter was my salesman at Honda; he was extremely knowledgeable and knew his cars. He listened to what I had to say and talked with me about what I wanted. I never felt pressured in making my decision. It took 90 minutes to close the deal which included the test drive. Unfortunately, I had to wait a week for Honda to locate my color and model that I selected. And the great service continued on the day I actually picked up my car. Walter took the time to walk me through the many new features available in todays cars! That was a great help. I would have no problem recommending to anyone to check out Cardinal Honda for your next car!

This is my first car or truck purchase from this dealership in the 44 years I have lived in the area. The entire experience was very smooth and the salesman did not try to steer me away from my goal of owning a new Ridgeline. I recently purchased a used 2012 Honda Accord 4-door LX. I was looking for a good quality car to commute from CT to DC on a weekly basis that I could rely on and got great gas mileage. I had already purchased two cars in the past from Cardinal (2014 CRV, and a 2002 Accord), so I knew that I would get a great deal with absolutely no hassle. As I began to search for the perfect car for my college student the HONDA FIT stood out. I shopped around to 5 dealers and approached it from the best customer service perspective.....and CARDINAL HONDA STOOD OUT way above the others. I was connected with a sales manager, Jeff, who was able to keep me posted on the vehicle I was looking for via text. That was awesome because my work day is so busy so it helped to communicate via text. He informed me of who my sales person would be prior to going to the dealership. Andy, my designated sales person, was excellent. Attentive, considerate, informative and friendly. Next was the finances....I worked with Chris next. Super knowledgeable and easy to work with while we looked at our options. We had walked into the dealership at 10:30 AM and drove out of the lot at 1:30 with my daughter's new HONDA FIT. Fantastic experience and will absolutely go back for our next vehicle. It is very apparent that the staff at CARDINAL HONDA love their jobs and respect the product they sell.

I chose Cardinal Honda because they are on my commuting route and they have a longstanding reputation for great service during and after the sale. I couldn't give 5 stars for price because a) I would've liked a selling price closer to invoice, and b) free scheduled maintenance for 2 years is commonplace these days. Other than that, Cardinal Honda went "above and beyond the call of duty" to meet my expectations. Love my 2015 CRV EX, it looks fantastic in Copper Sunset Pearl! This was the first new car i have ever purchased, and it was a great experience! All my questions were answered in a timely fashion. I test drove two cars, the CRV and Civic, and i was not pushed towards either vehicle, i was able to make my own decision. They really treated you well and made sure all questions were answered. One of the add-ons i got for my car was applied wrong, and they already had the new part ordered for me so they could re-apply the new one. Would recommend to anybody.

We got our first Civic from Cardinal in 1988, an Odyssey in 2000, Accords in '97 and 2003 and now a Civic. It's like watching the history of the needs of our family over the years. Our '03 had over 207,000 miles and was still going strong! But more than the Honda line itself is the dealership. I did much research on models and pricing before heading over and was pleasantly surprised with the great deals at Cardinal. Our original salesman is now the manager and greeted us like family. Our new salesman, JD, is wonderful, very informative, straight forward and responsive to questions and phone calls. He never seemed rushed and spent all the time we needed helping us learn the new technology with our new car. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! First time we have financed through Honda and that went very smoothly. I would be remiss if I didn't laud Louise on the phone desk who also greets folks as they walk in and has been there almost 25 years. It is reassuring to hear the same voice...and get the same great service...as I did in 1988! Kudos Cardinal!!!

Salesperson Dan, "the man," knew his product well, gave me purchase options, and provided training sessions so I could learn about the technical aspects of my car. Since this is my 3rd Honda in 9 years, it's obvious that I apprecate the quality and performance of Hondas. However, although there are several Honda dealerships closer to where i live and work, after my first visit,, I knew Cardinal Honda of Groton had gained a customer for life. I originally selected Cardinal Honda because of their advertised "clear and simple, haggle free, no negotiating policy." It truly is clear and simple! I never have to wonder if I could have gotten a better deal with a different salesperson or if I had negotiated a bit better. As a woman purchasing a car on my own, it is reassuring to know that I was not overcharged because of an assumption that i may not know as much about cars as a man. Beyond that, every person with whome I have dealt in both the sales and service departments has been helpful, considerate and eager to be of service. Today as I left Cardinal Honda in my newly purchased car I could not have been happier with the help I received from Dan in selecting the perfect car for my current needs or from the thorough and well explained financial arrangements provided by Matt. From the moment I applied online for financing to when I drove off the lot in my new car everything was excellent! The car I was originally there for had sold the day I went to the dealership, however Bob helped me find a different car which honestly I believe I am 100% more satisfied with. My daughter and I went to Cardinal Honda to look for a Certified used Honda Civic for her. We worked with Alexander. He was fabulous. Very knowledgeable and very easy to talk to. Alexander answered all questions honestly, and was not pushy in the slightest. He gave us lots of information on the Civic when we went out for our test drive. He made us feel relaxed during the sales experience. And, we were pleasantly surprised by a return customer discount we received, I had purchased a Civic from Cardinal Honda with another daughter 6 years ago and she still loves that car! This place is fu.... I asked for finacial rate the told me that I don't have credit. First that is a lay. My credit is excellent. They could give me the financial rates. Didn't go 2 too 3 days they calling me to purchase the car. I don't think they know what they doing over there, first I never asked to purchase the car I told Alex that what kind of financial rates they have. I will never recommend this place to any one.

March 2012 we were looking for a vehicle for our daughter, at first we were looking at a used vehicle, after looking at the lot we had it narrowed down to two, Walter talked to us about used vs. new, when I got my paper, pen and calculator out to see if the math really added up, I thought that I would get an attitude but not from Walter he just smiled and let me have sometime to figure it out, his knowledge and explanation actually helped us decide on a new 2012 Honda Civic vs. the used one, . The process was so easy and pain free that we came back in March of 2013 to purchase a Honda Pilot. Again Walter was great, with all of our questions, especially when we saw the CR-V and couldn't decided if we were making the right choice. His patients with us as we were weighing out the pros and cons of each vehicle for our family's needs, was amazing never did we feel rushed. We joked as we pulled out of the lot with our new 2013 Pilot that we would be back next March since that seems to be our trend. That didn't happen for our family this year. But we will be back as soon as we can, and we hope to have Walter help us pick out our third Honda.

I came to Cardinal Honda on May 19th to price out a Honda Accord LX in White. Alexander Davis was the Sales person that waited on me, and he was very accommodating to have me test drive this car in an automatic transmission. (My first choice was a 6 speed Manual but it doesn't come in White). After the test drive, we sat down to discuss the options and final pricing. Although the price was more than what I wanted to pay, Alexander was helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and offered some other alternatives to stay within my budget. I was very happy with all the service there was no push to buy and no pressure to do anything on the day I visited. They were very accommodating for myself and the friend that I brought with me to take a test drive. The salesperson was very professional, friendly, and straightforward. He made the whole experience, from test drive to the signing of papers, very easy. We drove in to look! Maybe take a test drive. It was a pouring rain day on a holiday weekend and we had our 4 year old with us so we knew we were limited on time. Along came Walter Groux and all our worries were slowly washed away about our child. He made sure she had snacks, a drink, coloring book & crayons and her own spot at the desk. She was treated like a queen so my husband and I could focus on a possible purchase. Cardinal was closer and others had told us about their experience. I told him I kind of wanted a pale blue car this time around, and he told me the new cars didn't come in a light blue color, but a more deeper blue. Then he let me test drive a beautiful "leased" car, which just happened to be a light "metalic" color. From the time I sat in the car, I fell in love with it. In the end, I concluded: why wait -- buy this beautiful car; Bob did a great job and was trustworthy; and the balance of Cardinal staff completed the deal professionally and expeditiously. Overall, it was the easiest purchase of a car I have ever experienced. Everything took just 24 hours and the ride home was far better than the ride to pick up the new car! Bottom line: I wanted to buy a car; they wanted to sell a car....it was hassle free.

This is the second car I have bought from Scott at Cardinal Honda. I will probably buy my third here. Cardinal is a great local dealership. The service department is excellent. Honda is a great brand. Cardinal has been servicing my cars for about 10 years. The dealership has been around for many years and has really fine tuned its staff and business. I never feel like I am getting taken. I am never surprised with unexpected costs. The staff are always friendly and respectful. The facility, including waiting room and restrooms is always clean.

Overall an excellent experience! Friendly and helpful staff! Alexander really listened to what we wanted and worked tirelessly to ensure we were satisfied. Not only did he search New England for the car we wanted, when it didn't exist he ordered direct from the factory. It was being built AFTER we ordered it, to the specifications we wanted. When we went out of town for two weeks our car arrived at the dealership and all the additional features were added the dealership held the car on the showroom floor for safe keeping, with lots of oohs and ahhs I'm sure, until we returned. This is the third car we've purchased from Cardinal Honda and every time we have never felt the typical heavy-handed pressure to purchase a car that we experienced at other car dealerships in the New London area. I plan on trading in my 2007 Ridgeline for the redesigned 2016 Ridgeline as soon as it is available and look forward to working with Alexander to do it.

I was shopping around the area for a new vehicle for my grandmother since her current vehicle has high mileage. I walked into the honda dealership expecting to be confronted with what is commonly referred to as the persistent/pushy non-empathetic salesman however I was pleasantly surprised to deal with a salesman who did not emulate those common characteristics. He was very precise with all the options that existed and certainly did not make us feel that we needed to buy anything at that moment and that he was there to help guide us to the right vehicle and decision. Although we did not make a purchase that day (which we had no intention of doing) we will strongly consider this dealership in the future if Andy will assist us along the way.

I called Cardinal Honda in Groton, Connecticut interested in checking out a Honda Accord Hybrid in Touring trim. Cardinal's salesman Jeff Dimmock received my call answering all of my preliminary questions professionally, with refreshing courtesy and confidence-inspiring knowledge of the car I was interested in. Initial inquiries were answered thoroughly leading me to ask to set up an appointment to look at and test drive the car. Jeff set up an appointment within the ned day o two. I arrived at the agreed upon time to find Jeff available and prepared to introduce me to this car. Hybrid technology being new to me as a driver, Jeff took me through the differences between traditionally powered cars and hybrid drive. His explanation was pleasantly thorough and detailed for this engineering layman. We took the car out for a spin during which Jeff further explained hybrid technology and intruded me to the car's many advantages and comforts. I decided to buy. This car is available in limited supply at this time so the exterior/interior color combination I wanted was not available for delivery from Cardinal's lot. Jeff told me that he and the Cardinal team would get to work immediately to locate one for me. This process was handled expertly by Jef and the Cardinal group. I was kept in the loop as to developments in the location process and updated frequently on estimated delivery dates. The car was delivered in a timely fashion. In summary, the entire experience of buying my new car from Cardinal Honda was exceptionally pleasant. I'll be back and will recommend them to any of my friends who are in the market for a car. grew job Cardinal!

Toby and Jeff both said it was possible and toby told us that he would even exceed our expectations. He sure did! They not only found us the EXACT car we were looking for, but it was even more than we asked for and they stayed right within our budget and never once asked us to consider going up on our budget. it was only ONLY dealer in the area that did not pressure us and we went to about 5 different dealers! Selecting a dealership was as important to me as selecting the type of car. I have not had good experiences in the past at area dealerships. There wasn't one question Dan could not answer about the honda CRV I was interested in. He explained all the features and was very courteous at all times. Prior to going to Cardinal Honda me and my wife went to Westbrook Honda and were let down. First off the car wasn't at Westbrook Honda as previously promised, and the sales staff were not very helpful, and I really didn't even feel the want to purchase a car after walking around the lot and dealing with an associate. Having a check for a new vehicle in my pocket me and my wife then headed over to Cardinal Honda. It was a night and day difference. The staff at Cardinal were professional, kind, and really took the time to find us the car we wanted. Our sales associate (Alexander) did a phenomenal job of getting us the car we wanted at a great price, and showed us around the shop and staff to let us know they where standing behind the vehicle. I've never been an import guy, but after owning this Honda (2011 CRV) for a week I can say I will stick with Honda indefinitely. This car is exactly what I wanted and more, and even after a week I can say that I am still thankful that we went into Cardinal Honda. If your looking for a car and your in Connecticut, take my advice go to Cardinal Honda and ask for Alexander. I can promise you wont be let down.

Not impressed. Bought a 2010 Civic through them, and was advertised as 15,500. After extended warranty and fees, cost me 18,000 total. I had some major life events happen shortly after, and went back to get the car appraised to see how much they would buy it back for, and was offered 10,500 (it was kept immaculately clean), equating to a huge loss of 7,500 for 6 weeks of owning the car. If only I had the foresight to know this would end up happening I obviously would not have bought the car. Just your usual car dealer and nothing better. I don't like the fact that they try to give off the image as a dealer that somehow has more "integrity" or whatnot than your usual dealer, and obviously you can get an idea of how much was made off of this sale.This was the first car that I didn't buy with cash, so my first experience with financing a vehicle obviously. I fell for the extended warranty as I thought somehow it was a good deal. They neglected to mention that the "bumper to bumper" warranty is only good for 1 year, and made it sound as if the bumper to bumper warranty would last just as long as the powertrain, as they only told me that it would last to 100k miles. It's not like I was planning on driving over 15k miles in a year so a lot of good that did me, they could at least lay out all the facts beforehand.I would say it would be best to avoid this dealer as there are likely car dealers that will give you all the facts and have more integrity.

I went saturday morning to check a check engine light it took them two hours.So then i went back cause the light came back on they said we will order your part.Wednesday came i call them to see if my sensor came in and they said they never order it.So then the guy on the phone tells me he is going to call me back he never did.So i drove to a different Honda dealer ship they look at my car i was out of there in a half hour.They my sensor on saturday.iI do can recommend Cardinal Honda for Service.

When looking for a car a deposit was left stating financing may be a deal breaker on Saturday at closing. Called back Monday morning the person instructed to call stating was able to get better financing and pricing elsewhere. To refund the deposit the financing was a deal breaker. 1 week later called back because deposit still was not refunded was told it was not going to be. Because they were "preparing a car" the transaction was canceled 31 hours prior to supposed delivery.A dealership by a military base robbing a military family member wow that takes nerve.

I bought a nissan altima 2003 (90,000 mileage) from the cardinal honda dealer for $7000 + registration + tax and another $3000 to get extended warrranty (which they assured will cover bumper to bumper). Told it was preowned by a teacher after google searches I found out that it was owned by one of thier employees and also they dont repair nissan cars in their centre which they did not mention it before. Now I am taking the car for repair everymonth to a nissan dealer and the extended warranty is not covering emmision and paying it for everytime. I almost spent $1500 and the warrranty company almost paid $3000 for other repairs and still the car has problem and the service engine light is on again. I got this car on May,2012.Note: I am driving only 2-5 miles per day so I dont use the car roughly also.

We were completely ripped off and taken advantage of by Cardinal Honda. When we wanted the problem rectified they completely refused and wouldn't even give us the time of day. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone!

After bringing my car in for scheduled maintenance including a tire rotation, we immediately noticed a slight shimmy. This is my commuter car so not used on a daily basis, so when I got on the highway a few days later I noticed as I approached 50mph the shimmy was significantly worse and at 65 it was horrible! We brought the care back in to see what the problem was. Now originally the receptionist had mentioned needing " a new tire next time you come in", but when my husband picked the keys up a different person said our tread was safe and not to worry about it. So today we are standing talking to the original receptionist, and instead of offering to double check that everything is tight and ruling out any other possibility for this problem, she immediately jumps to "well I told you that you needed new tires, your tires are chopped and you need an alignment, this is the ONLY thing that will fix this problem" Ok....you didn't tell us that the tires were chopped or that we needed an alignment! Then I said well it didn't do it before we dropped it off, and she was still very adamant that it was the tires and nothing else. Finally after her being very short and NEVER NEVER NEVER offering to double check everything to be sure this was the issue, we demanded they rotate the tires back to where they were. On a second note, I asked her "don't they test drive after changing tires around, b/c they would have noticed this" She replied "absolutely and it was told to you that it had a shimmy!" NO IT WASN'T. Why in the heck would I want a car rocking and rolling going 65mph down the road, I would have immediately told you to fix the problem... Never will go here again, these people are rude, and more importantly liars

I am so glad we found Cardinal Honda! My husband and I were shopping for a new 2012 Honda Pilot Touring edition. We were shopping prices on the internet and of all the Honda dealerships we requested information from Cardinal Honda was the only one to respond in a timely fashion with the best price, other dealers didnt even get back to us! There was no doubt about it we knew we were going to Cardinal Honda to make our purchase. The following day we drove to Groton, CT from our home in Watch Hill, RI which is only 20 minutes away. When we arrived we were greeted in a very friendly, professional manner. We test drove our Pilot and it was perfect! Our Sales Associate was with us every step of the way and we were never without answers to all of our questions. We were also shown around the dealership with regards to the service department and an incredible customer lounge with snacks and coffee!!!! Next, our Pilot was ready to go home with us and much to our surprise the entire dealership came to the showroom to applaud and congratulate us on our purchase. The overall experience was wonderful; from the selection to the clear & simple pricing to the friendly and professional people we absolutely love Cardinal Honda! Thank you!
