Josh in the service department is awesome! We drive an hour just to come to battlefield for repairs on our vehicle. Yes, we live closer to Jim Price but Battlefield is so much better when it comes to customer service and repairs. All of the staff at Battlefield Chevrolet, especially Melissa and Danny, were wonderful to work with. I had some difficulty finding a vehicle that fit my needs due to some old credit issues, and I was about to give up my search, but Melissa insisted they could get me into something I would love and that it would be worth the trip from Harrisonburg. She couldn't have been more right! Not only was I treated with dignity and respect, but they found extra incentives, gave me a very fair price for my trade, and a respectable interest rate so that I could drive out of the lot in a brand new, gorgeous Equinox! I would highly recommend this great group of people for your car buying needs. I've had my Equinox a week and I am in love with it! Thanks guys!

I was in the Market for a work truck. I put in a few feelers and Battlefield reached out to me first via text messages. Michael and I text throughout the day of my visit and I felt great about my chances leaving with the truck I came to Battlefield for. When I got to Culpepper from Richmond I was even more put at ease when I met Mike personally. He was very professional and took me on a couple test drives. We zeroed in on the truck that I wanted and the buying process was underway. I was very pleased that the staff looked high and low until settling on 7.9% on my behalf, Not bad for a guy with fair credit. Overall, I rate this dealership highly because of the personal attention of the salesperson, Michael St.Onge. We were proud to be his customers and he made us feel as if he was genuinely interested in serving us and helping us find the right car. Even though buying a new (used) car is not my favorite activity, he made the experience better. The others onsite were also good to work with, and I appreciated their "team" feeling. I had mike St.Onge, he is a great listener, not pushy at all and he stays in full contact with you all the time. They also worked with me on scheduling which was wonderful. The only bad things I have to say about the dealership is that they gave me a horrible rate on my trade in, which don't get me wrong I still accepted but shop your vehicle around first before considering a trade in. Also the 2009 Chevy Malibu I bought, was clean and all the electronics worked except the back door actuators, which mike told me about before I bought so it wasn't a deal breaker. The thing I noticed about the car when driving was the shifting was a little jerky. So I got an appointment made and they kept it for a few days and claimed that they replaced the engine computer, which I was happy about. The only problem is the issue continued to persist, the light didn't come on anymore but I could still feel a bit of jerkiness in low gears, the mechanic said it was all good and that they didn't feel or find anything else wrong and that there isn't much they can do unless they get an error when hooking it up to a machine. Everything was great, except my car doesn't run as smooth as it should.

I was in search of a specific experienced car. I performed an extensive internet search and located six vehicles to view. The farthest away from my location was Richmond, Virginia. I tested four, some were local to my location. I almost purchased one of those vehicles. The vehicle at Battlefield was not that far from home and advertised in a way that "ticked all the boxes". In today's world it seems as though the term "put the customer first" is lost in the hassle to make money. Unfortunately, this new mind set seems to be entrenched in the automotive sales industry, at least in the Lynchburg area where my wife and I live. We saw some of your vehicles on the car gurus website and thought we'd give you a try. At the very least we'd have the afternoon together as a "mini date". My first dealing with your dealership was by email with Shawn D. who was polite, knowledgable, and expedient. When he found out he had a prior commitment at the date and time my wife and I were coming he made arrangements for another salesperson to step in. That person, Darien D., did a superb job and truly listened to what we wanted, needed, and most importantly, what we were able and willing to do financially. As a consequence of Darien and Logan G. going the extra mile to the extent of lowering the price of the vehicle AND the interest rate, we made a purchase of the perfect car for the needs of my wife instead of a lower priced vehicle that was "good" but not "perfect". Service worked on the car, turning the rotors and checking the break pads due to an issue that arose during the test drive and checked it over one last time before detailing and getting it ready for us to pick up the following day. Again, our overall experience with Battlfield Chevrolet has been exceptional and well worth the trip up from the Lynchburg area (2 hrs away). We will most definitely return when we are in the market again for another vehicle. I can't guarantee anyone else driving up from Lynchburg but I can assure you that it won't be because we're not singing your praises. Thanks again and congratulations on hiring great people and instilling in them a mindset of excellence and putting the customer first. GREAT job!

Called about a used vehicle. Took 4 days for them to get back to me when i called out of state. Dealed with a guy named Nate. Asked for pics of engine bay instead they sent me pics of the car pics that was listed on there website that did not show the pic i requested. Then when i asked for more engine bay shots they send me pics of the battery. Clearly they must had been hiding something. I also asked for pics of the underbody if it had rust and they send me very blurry pics and said it looked good for it's age. What kind of sales and service experience is this? Would i drive down 7 hours to look at a rusted up vehicle? NO i would not. I told the guy i need engine bay pics twice no reply then said "thanks for your time i will look elsewhere" He said "Ok, good luck". Clearly they don't want business or care for the customers needs. F rating.

My check engine light came on. I had a busy schedule planned for the week with filming and teaching I needed my transportation. I was in love with Culpeper chevy dealer came In 2013 brought my first new car allways get it service here even though I pass another chevy dealer on the way there . Just because I brought from them and I wanted to keep being a great customer in tell the day they did a recall on my car ! After doing the recall my tire senor didn't display on the inside my car was quickly told me they didnt do it and had to wait 20 mins for a manager . The manager was no help at all tried to come up with many other reason why there shop didnt do anything wrong long story short came up with a lie saying they couldn't fix tell the next day to bring it back so I went to a different chevy dealer took them 5 min to reprogram the tire senor my car and still never receive a call back from the chevy dealer in Culpeper to see why didn't I return for them to fix my car ! Me,my family or friends won't be buying or servicing our car there again.

We were looking for a specific car and found out through their online search tool that Battlefield of Culpeper had one in stock to test drive...I made the inquiry the day of a bad snow storm and they were closed, but the very next day, Glenn Thompson replied to my email and had the car cleaned off and ready to go the next day for us to test drive. We also told Glenn that we were interested in a Ford Explorer and Glenn had someone from the Ford section bring the car up to us and explain all its features and sent us on our way for another test drive. We had our 1 year old daughter with us, and they were very accommodating and allowed us to put our car seat in both vehicles, which was a great way to see how well it fit in each car. Glenn was very knowledgable about the car...he knew all the specs/features and helped us when comparing both vehicles we were considering; such as how much value the vehicles retain years later. We were also interested in adding cross bars to the vehicle, and Glenn called us the very next day to let us know the cost to add those to the car. We love our 4Runner and would return to Battlefield for another purchase.

Battlefield Service Center continues to truly impress me with their customer service focus and quality. I recently had them put a new engine AND transmission into my 2007 Suburban. The transmission job was over the holidays and even though the service manager had to deal with unexpected challenges beyond his control, he made absolutely sure I was covered. To mitigate the longer timeframe, Battlefield provided me with a loaner vehicle and continually kept me up-to-date on the status of the job. Always honest and straightforward, the Service staff truly made me feel taken care off. Sally, Mike and Brandon were an outstanding team. Brandon, as service manager, went out of his way to let me know how the job was progressing, keeping me reassured and confident my truck was in good hands. Battlefield truly "owned" this repair, making sure it was done right, and Brandon's leadership is the kind that makes for an outstanding organization. I would highly recommend Battlefield to friends and family. As an active duty military member, I am happy to say that Battlefield proudly lives up to their name. Update: It's been 4.5 months since the engine was installed & it runs perfectly. It's been 2.5 months since the transmission was installed & it also performs like new.

This has been, by far, my best car buying/leasing experience. I leased a brand new 2015 Toyota from Battlefield Toyota, I had spoken to and arranged just about everything with Harry and Glenn before I went down there to get the car. I let them know that I didn't want to spend too much time there since I already had decided on the car that I wanted. By the time I got there, they had the car pulled up and the paperwork just about ready. Much to my surprise (and unlike other dealers) there were no hidden fees and no new negotiations at the last minute. Everything that we had agreed upon was exactly the deal that I was looking for and the deal that I got. I have never had a more pleasant experience getting a car and I will most definitely recommend this dealer and the sales team to others. Glenn and Harry were exceptional.

We purchased a Certified 2012 FJ Cruiser from Glenn Thomson on 28 Feb 15. With the FJs becoming scarce, we drove 2 hours from Annapolis, MD to view the vehicle after having viewed several others in MD. I wasn't in the mood for any run around once I got there, needless to say. Glenn met us in the parking lot and I was happy he was the one that did. From the moment we arrived he was great to work with. We actually had to wait for another customer to test drive it and "deal" on it that arrived just before we did. Glenn kept us up to date and accommodated until we were able to discuss making a deal on the vehicle. After coming to an agreement on all the details, we drove home happy and satisfied with the vehicle and deal. If Glenn is still there, I wouldn't hesitate to make the long drive again if and when the time comes to purchase another vehicle.

This has been the best car experience I've ever had. I was a regular at Buy Here Pay Here dealerships until i met Glenn. He was truly the BEST Sales Representative I could have! I was having trouble qualifying due to having NO credit history but Harry, the new car manager and Glenn worked long hours of overtime and came in on the days they were off to get me into a brand new 2015 Toyota Corolla. This was by far my best car purchase ever!! I emailed the dealer on a Saturday evening. Within an hour Glen gave me a call back. He answered all my questions quickly and was very efficient. By Monday morning all was approved. Glen even stayed late so I could get my car that day. I drove in the car was emaculate!! Very clean and it looked exactly as they had it displayed on their website. After the test drive they got me in to sign the paperwork and a few minutes later i was heading home in my new ride. After a long day of car shopping and the last stop I planned on making for the night I found myself on the battlefield lot in culpeper Virginia. A salesman approached by the name Anthony Peppe who seemed very knowledgeable about the cars I was interested in. I am not the easiest person to deal with when it comes to car buying I know exactly what I want and what I am willing to pay. Understanding this Anthony made his introduction and left me to my shopping which was exactly what I look for in a salesman. When it came time to sit down I felt as though he was willing to not only get me the best price for my trade in but also the best price on the truck I was buying. I have bought from battlefield previously and would recommend them to anyone in The market for a new or used vehicle. If you find yourself in the market for a new or used car do your self a favor and give them a chance to earn your business. PS On another note and this has nothing to do with Glen, I was very disappointed that we did not get the free oil change along with free inspections for as long as we own our new car! The first 25,000 mile is a given but other dealerships will give you the free oil an inspections when you buy a new vehicle. Battlefield made a big job seam easy, putting a new engine into my 2007 Chevy Suburban. It's only been a couple days, but so far I am thrilled. No blinking dash lights and crazy electronic issues. Runs like a brand new truck. The Service folks were exceptionally friendly and helpful and our Service advisor, Mike, gave us a great deal, supporting my family with a military discount since I am actively serving in the US Navy. Today at 9:12 AM We recently purchased a vw from you approx. two weeks ago. My wife and I took it on a road trip over this weekend to Maryland. After arriving in Maryland, a rubbing noise started in the left front of the vehicle. I was able to get it to a repair shop within two miles, to have it looked at. The shop manager asked me to come out into the shop and he showed me where the top caliper bolt was missing and the spindle threads were stripped. The manager temporaily fixed it to get us back home. We had to spend the night because we did not want to get stranded in the dark on the side of the road. We made it back to Fredericksburg when it started rubbing again. I called for a tow truck and had it towed from Fredricksburg to Staunton and dropped it off at Valley VW where I am waiting on a estimate. I know your shop had this particular bolt out twice repairing the pads and then repairing the sensors. I will contact you when Valley VW gives me a estimate. After two emails to the general manager, there has been no response. My wife and I could have been hurt because of their poor service on a brake issue. Thank you Clifton Shifflett

I bought a suburban from them last week and was amazed at how nice everyone was and how quickly the loan was able to process. That was about the last good thing that happened. On our way home (over 2 hours away) we noticed that the truck was starting to pull and that we did not get everything we thought was going to be in the car. Plus they left the truck on E when we got in to drive it away which I have never seen a dealership do before. Overall though we were ok with the purchase because Kristin had been so helpful to deal with and the promise from the manager that said "we are a small dealership and are looking to keep it that way because we look after our customer and stand behind all of our sales." Just one week later the radio broke and I called up there to see if I needed to drive all the way up there or could I go to someone local around me to get it fixed knowing that "they stand behind all of their sales". As soon as the manager got on the phone he explained that electronic problems such as this happen and that they will diagnose the problem for free but won't pay for the repair. In other words meaning you can bring it here for us to fix it so we can make more money off of you. I asked him what he meant last week when he said they stand behind every vehicle they sell and he had no answer. I believe that they put the band aid on the problem sold the truck and had it in the back of their minds that it would our problem soon. This dealership gives all car dealers the bad name that we all hear about time and time again. Good luck to anyone who deals with them but if you choose to do go see Kristin she is very helpful.

On Feb 2,2014, my wife and I went into the dealership twice, once at 0900 am and test drove a vw suv. We could not come to a price so went and looked at three other vehs and at 0300pm I contacted this dealership and stated we would pay there price and would be there at 0400 pm with a check. Arrived at 0400pm, sit down with a salesman and hammered out the details(remember no financing was needed). At 0600pm still waiting, I asked the finance mgr if we were going to make a deal and all he could do was stutter. We walked out and as my wife was about to get into our car, the used car mgr and finance mgr came outside and started hasseling my wife at which time she had a few choice words to say and they went back inside. If this is how they sell cars, I guess another auto business will eventually buy them out like Charlottesvile.

I bought a used Cadillac SRX from the dealership about two months ago. They treated me very well until I purchased the car but then things changed for the worst. The day I bought the car it was raining and I didn't check all the windows, a week later I figured the front passenger window was not operating. When I contacted the dealer he told me to bring the car in; I was willing to do that even though I would have to drive 2 hours to take it there. The day I was to take it, the dealer called me and stated the only thing they could do is diagnose the problem but they will not have the parts and suggested I take it to the nearest Cadillac dealer, get it fixed and they will reimburse me the money. I did so then faxed them the repair costs and details. Needless to say I had the run around then was told the manager will not approve of the payments. I was doing all the calling and contacting. They did not even have the courtesy to call me or respond to my calls on time. In addition they failed to send my tags on time which almost got me a ticket. I had to take the car to a friend's garage so I would not incur tickets for the 3 days my car was without a valid registration and tag. Overall I had a horrible experience with this dealership after I purchased the vehicle.

HAD WARRANTY REPAIR DONE AT THERE SHOP AND THEY CLOSED THE HOOD ON WINDSHIELD WASHER FLUID HOSE AND LEFT IT STICKING OUT OF HOOD WHEN I PICKED IT UP. PURCHASED THREE VEHICLES FROM THIS DEALERSHIP UNDER THREE DIFFERENT MANAGERS THEN BOUGHT MY NEPHEW DOWN FROM FAIRFAX TO BUY A TRUCK AND THEY WOULDN'T CLOSE THE DEAL OVER $500.00 DOLLARS? HE WENT ACROSS THE STREET AND BOUGHT A NEWER TRUCK WITH LESS MILEAGE AND MORE OPTIONS THAT SAME DAY. MANAGMENT SHOULD THINK ABOUT CUSTOMER LOYALTY.

I Recently relocated to Staunton after leaving Northern Virginia; where I have purchased many cars over the years and this was by far the best and most rapid purchase I have made....ever. My Sales Attendant Jimmy Thompson was marvelous, he was knowledgable about their inventory and he imparted a wealth of information about each and every car I had considered. That made making a decision that much easier for me, because I had not done much research and had no idea what I wanted. I went to this dealership looking for a new car because my first car was totaled(wasn't my fault). I'm 18 years old and I work full-time but, I also go to school full-time, which I am paying for all by myself. So I explained to the sales person that I honestly am a typical struggling college student. So I told him my price range is 8000-9000 dollars and he found a car that had no sticker price and went inside to ask the sales manager. When he came back out he informed me that the car was guaranteed in my price range. So I looked in the car and took it for a test drive and totally fell in love with this car. So we go inside and start the paperwork and the sales manager comes over and informs me that the car is 12 almost 13,000 dollars. This was after I wasted an hour and a half, at least, of my time. I would never recommend this dealership to anybody. They took advantage of an 18 year old college student and guaranteed me something that was NOT in my price range!!! -_-

They were the typical car dealer. Bicker with price, ask manager, then bring manager to desk, keep lowering price, then get to the point where they say "What would it take to get you in this car today" then say Can't do that. Did close the deal. Finance department it wonderful and Service was on top of any issues. Even mechanics stayed late to get the job done.
