My service advisor, Matt, was straight up and honest about all work that had to be performed. He even offered me a loaner car while I was there because of the length of time I was waiting. It helped a lot so I could get my other errands done while my truck was being worked on. I am truly grateful.

The service personnel took my car right away. They alerted me to have my car inspected since it was a month overdue. My car was taken care of in a timely manner.

I have been bought eight cars and would not think about buying any where else. The down home country folks at Tappahannock Chevrolet have always helped me buy the right fit vehicle for my wife and family working within my budget. My saleswoman Karen Revere has always placed me in the right vehicle for my family. The entire staff including there service department have always been up front and honest. I would not buy or service my vehicles any where else. Great facility and team. They have always stood behind there vehicles and have never been screwed as has happened in the past at other dealers. Every deal has been done with the utmost disclosure and integrity. Buying every vehicle from Tappahannock Chevrolet has been hassle free without the big city aggression that I have experienced at other dealers. Returning costumer for my next vehicle after 5 years expecting the same great service I had gotten before but instead was a waste of time.. told them what I wanted and my budget..the salesman just kept showing me cars that I didn't want or was so far out of my price range, not helpful at all, didn't seem to want to help me..not to mention the trade in apprassial was less than half of my cars value..definitely not what I had expected..did not feel appreciated as a returning customer at all..plenty of other places I can go in mechanicsville..

Matt Lam was a very conscientious sales advisor. I actually visited the car lot on a Sunday evening looking for a 2015 Ford Explorer with 5K miles that I found on the website. I could not find the vehicle as the finance man had driven it home. Upon calling on Monday morning, I talked to Matt and stopped by the dealership in the afternoon. He let me test drive the Explorer with no questions asked. When I returned, he showed me a Buick Enclave and a GMC Acadia Denali that had just been put on the lot. The vehicle hadn't even been cleaned and didn't have an inspection sticker. That was the vehicle that sparked my interest. Then he showed me a Toyota Highlander. Matt was patient enough to let me line up all the vehicles next to my Jeep for comparison. I wanted something a little larger with 3rd row seats and more comfortable. His expertise fit the bill for my very detailed shopping. Matt was so accommodating as well as Debbie Jenkins and Aaron in finance in purchasing my Acadia. Matt was patient and had a wonderful personality. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a new or used vehicle. He's the BEST!!!

I have been buying vehicles, both previously owned and new, a total of five vehicles, from Tappahannock Chevrolet and specifically from Matt Lam since moving to the Northern Neck in late 1999. My most recent transaction was to trade in my 2013 Chevrolet Avalanche (which I purchased through Matt) for a new 2015 Chevrolet Malibu LT. Matt was well aware of my situation and did his research and came up with what has been a great choice for me and my needs. His help, along with the help from Aaron, gave me the service I have come to expect and have received from the staff at Tappahannock Chevrolet. I have always taken my vehicles back to Tappahannock Chevrolet for service and have received the absolute best from Bryan Hodges and his service team, including Jay. You guys cannot be beat! Ms. Lisa Jenkins was wonderful to deal with while I was looking for a vehicle. I found her to be friendly, patient and efficient as I settled on the vehicle of my choice. This process is right on the money...just recently, I scheduled an appointment for 8 a.m. Thirty minute later, I was done...Now that's service!!!

Purchased a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado. I can say that Matt as always gave me great service as this is the 3rd vehicle I have purchased with Matt. I had the truck for 3 days and the engine was making a knocking noise and the breaks went out. When I returned the vehical I was very discouraged with the truck. I must say the used car manager was at no help when I was ready to return this vehicle and reverse the contract. It was in the service department for over a week. I came in to pick the truck up when I was told it was ready. I requested a copy of the service provided on the truck,to be told the tech. was not finished or has not closed the ticket. I was treated very rudley from the service department manager as if I was a nucence to him. I have sence been treated very well with the service department and had a interior problem fixed by him at his cost. Thanks for the service.

I purchased a 2010 Equinox from this dealership less then two months ago. It has been in there service shop TWICE already. I was talked into an additional warranty for $2800.00, which come to find out doesn't cover anything that could go wrong. The service department tells me that someone else has this same part wrong the past weekend. Funny how the SAME part goes wrong around the time its needed. "HEAT" Also was told that everything is checked before selling, so are you blaming me for something that has never been used by me and that I haven't even put on barely any miles on this vehicle since i bought it? I understand to locals its convenient to go to this dealership but a little longer drive might be worth it to you and your wallet.

I sent the dealership a e-mail on my concerns about high oil consumption in the first 3500 miles. I had to add 1qt of oil in 3500 miles. At the time of the first oil change by dealer the dipstick indicated engine had used or leaked another 1/2 quart of oil. As advised by the service department I will keep it checked.

I came in knowing which model I was interested in. The saleswoman showed the options and then asked a few questions to narrow it down. I appreciate it when the focus is on what I want and not attempts to up sell. With the savings I was able to opt for the additional warranties.

We drove 1hour and 20mins straight shot up Rt 17 thur Gloucester. It was such a nice ride, especially on the way back in my husband's new Jeep. We are Chevy lovers, however, and I have sons that will be needing reliable vehicles in the near future so we will be back! Customer service is outstanding and the deal didn't take very long at all. We love these people, felt like we made new friends!
