Let me start by saying that I had a less than positive experience with a particular salesman about 6 weeks ago (August 2016) and I wrote a less than positive review. Brian Kitts (General Manager) contacted me to inquire about my less than positive experience and asked me to give Rusty Wallace Kia Alcoa another chance when I was ready. I did just that this past Saturday, September 24th (Tennessee Vols beat the Florida Gators... GO VOLS). I purchased a 2017 Sportage SX Turbo. I worked with Brian Kitts Initially and then Aubry Chaffins (Salesman) took over. Once the deal was made, I also worked with David Oliver (Finance Manager), and Brandon Chaffins (Sales Manager). All four of these gentleman are knowledgeable, kind, honest, and make the buying experience enjoyable. To make a long story short, I highly recommend Rusty Wallace Kia Alcoa if you are in the market for a Kia. If you have never thought about purchasing a Kia, the next time you are in the market for a reliable and truly special vehicle I encourage you to give Kia a look. My purchase of a new Kia Sedona was not my first purchase from Rusty Wallace Kia, but my second. I purchased a used Sedona 2 years ago for my son, so when I decided that I, too, wanted a Sedona, I knew which dealership that I wanted to deal with. My first purchase was extremely positive with the customer service and trade value I was given, but the purchase of my new Sedona was even better! This buying experience was honestly the best one that I have ever had, and I have purchased many new cars in my lifetime. My salesman, Bill Raybourn, was only interested in my best interest. He was able to secure a higher-than-expected trade-in value for 2 vehicles that I was trading for the Sedona. He also accompanied me to my house twice, once to photograph and inspect one of the vehicles before the deal, and once after the deal to drive my second vehicle back to the dealership. I could not have asked for any salesman to have been more friendly, helpful, and professional. Every employee that I saw or had dealings with, ( ie David in the business office), made me feel special by their friendliness and attention. I look forward to future servicing of my Sedona at Rusty Wallace Kia because of the customer-oriented attitude at this dealership.

I have been buying cars for some 45 years and the professional experience of car buying at Rusty Wallace, exceeds them all. In fact, this purchase was 'car number 5' from Rusty Wallace.All the sales persons refer to you as 'Mr.' or 'Mrs.' and not 'Honey' or 'Man' like so many other dealers in this area. Further, they cover the contract and details of the car in understandable language. They do not try to impress you with knowledge.To me, 'follow up' has always been important and we get that from the team at Rusty Wallace. Additionally, their 'team approach' to car buying means the buyer will not be at the dealer all day while one person is trying to do the sale, get the car clean, refuel, and insure buyer's comfort at the same time. I give Rusty Wallace the highest rating possible!

Let me preface my review with I have purchased two Kia vehicles (Soul and Optima) from Ted Russell Kia in Knoxville, TN and I am a huge Kia fan and supporter of the product. If you are looking to purchase a Kia vehicle, my advice to you is to shop somewhere other than the Rusty Wallace Kia in Alcoa, TN. I went to that dealership in May of 2016 and test drove a 2017 Kia Sportage with a salesman by the name of "B.J." He said he couldn't sell me a car until I had $3,000 to put down on the Sportage. So.... I contacted B.J. this week (8-8-16) to let him know I had the money. The long and short of the situation is that B.J. said he couldn't make the deal work. Nothing financially has changed with me since May except that my financial situation and credit score have improved which should make things better. B.J. also told me that I must have been looking at the 2016 Kia Sportage because the 2017 didn't come out until June or July and that was the reason things had changed. However, I know for a fact that he and I test drove a 2017 Kia Sportage with B.J. in the car. I also know that the 2017 Kia Sportage came out in December 2016. The bottom line is B.J. is a liar and a very unavailable salesman. The Rusty Wallace Dealership in Alcoa, TN supports BJ so I now have little to no respect for them as well. Let me mention here that the service department at Rusty Wallace Kia in Alcoa is EXCELLENT. I just wouldn't buy a vehicle from them.

My husband and I purchased our first KIA Sorento in 2014. We were very impressed by our salesman, Dean DeChaine, as well as Rusty Wallace KIA as a complete dealership with a lot of integrity. We returned to that dealership, and to Mr. DeChaine to purchase a new KIA Soul in 2016. Once again, the friendly, professional and low key vibe made us feel comfortable, and not pressured at all. We got exactly the car we wanted, and we were treated warmly, with respect and a lot of kindness. My husband had been looking for a particular pre-owned truck and although he thought it was unlikely that he would find it, there it was sitting in the KIA parking lot; the exact truck! What started out as a purchase of my KIA Soul ended up with us buying two vehicles. We couldn't be happier, and we are very thankful to our salesman, Dean DeChaine, our Sales Manager, Jake Bull, and the entire Rusty Wallace KIA Team. We sincerely appreciate all of their commitment to their customers and quality of service.

My daughter being 19 was excited to purchase a new car on her own!! They over charged her almost 5000 on her car.. So I highly recommend looking at all your paper work! They supposedly Gave her 5000 on her car as a trade in.. Instead she basically gave her car to them and they doubled all there finance charges,they added after market stuff to her paper work mind you she has a basic car with nothing extra not even cruise. Please don't trust Chuck after you purchase the car and your very unhappy he will tell you there is nothing he can do to help you! Now to get a lawyer and see what we can do with this mess! Thanks for nothing Rusty Wallace Kia we will never be back and I will let everyone I know to not buy a car from here!

Took my 2013 KIA in for a engine check light. I was told that my battery caused the engine check light to come on. Would cost around $160 dollars to replace battery and labor. I passed. Came home and checked my battery with a volt meter. In cause you are wondering if I know how to read a meter, I am an electrician. The battery read 12.4 volts with no load, started read 10.9 volts, running at 14.8 volts which shows the battery and all electrical parts working. Turn on all equipment on the car, volts read at 14.7 volts. You tell me my battery caused the engine check light to come on. The cause was I had not tighten the gas cap. Error code P0455. Auto Zone reset the error and have no came back. So my advice is: to keep your eyes open and both both hands on your money if you have to deal with the service department. You are fore warn.

BJ McNeely at the Alcoa highway location was awesome. He really seemed to care about what I wanted, which is so rare. Brian went above and beyond to get me approved and into a car on the same day. I didn't think I could get financed, but Rusty Walkace Kia got me into a 2011 Kia Soul in only a couple hours. I would definitely recommend them, especially if you're a first time buyer! I'm definitely satisfied with my experience.

He also told me that I could come back if I had any questions. Finance Department had everything ready for me when I got there and explained all of my options as it related to the warranty.

Was traveling on vacation when wiper motor went out in summer rains, coming from South Carolina. Called dealer in every town from Columbia sc to Knoxville, service from Rusty Wallace said they could get a part to fix and get me in first thing in the morning as it was 30 minutes before closing when we talked and I was just outside Asheville. First thing next morning they got me in and fixed to go, everybody very kind and helpful.I only wish we had a dealer with this service in Charleston.Thank you all very much.Dany KappCharleston SC

We, and most people, dread walking onto a dealer's lot and being met with overly (artificially) enthusiastic salesmen and pushy, rushed attitudes. Rusty Wallace Kia didn't waste our time with any of that. Everything went smooth as butter. Everyone we spoke with was genuinely friendly and knowledgeable, and our salesman (David) was patient, full of good energy, and above all, interested in our needs. We purchased a new Kia Optima and a new Kia Soul with far less hassle than we could have imagined. After a little indecision on our part, and a lot of question-answering on David's, we walked away with two new vehicles that we couldn't be happier with. The equation for a returning customer in the future is an excellent deal plus an excellent experience. These guys delivered both. We will be doing business there in the future!

I have a KIA Optima I purchased in 2010 from Rusty Wallace KIA,I had an excellent experience from day one...Recently I was in an accident and although my car was able to be driven,I called Rusty Wallace KIA and spoke to them,they said to come on and we will figure out something and once I got there,they gave me a loaner vehicle and recommended a body shop that my insurance company can have my car towed to....My insurance adjuster showed up the next day and my car was towed to the body shop ..These guys are wonderful .I am a single woman and had no where to turn to,these guys stepped up and made this process so easy...I was able to have a loaner while my car was in the body shop because I did not have rental car on my insurance,.so I will never forget the generosity of these wonderful people.... I will always recommend and do business with this KIA dealership

At this dealership, the experience is not all about you. When checking on my vehicle that they had (at that time) for almost a week, I was told by the service manager that I knew as much about my car as he did. The first day, I asked for a loaner and was told they were not loaning cars any longer. I had to get a rental. I was told my car would be ready in 2 days and that is how long I rented the car. They were replacing the fuel pump. The experience caused me to extend the rental and cost for a total rental contract of 8 days. I never got a call telling me my car was ready. Before I turned in my rental, I went in to the service center to see what was going on with my car. The service advisor immediately got my paperwork and told me that they had driven my car and checked everything out to make 110% sure it was all fixed. He assured me I was ready to go. My bill was more than I was told it would be, and when I was brought back from the rental store, and got in my car to leave, it was still torn up. The gas tank was empty, it was idling roughly, and the check engine light came on almost immediately. The service advisor that I met that day rode with me to put gas in my car, as a courtesy. I was very unhappy. As he was putting gas in, the fuel neck broke. They replaced that at no charge, as they said they could not be 100% sure they did not injure that while replacing the fuel pump. They replaced a bad O2 sensor as well. When I picked my car up at 5 pm on Thursday, the check engine light was not on and it was running better. By 8 am the next morning, the check engine light came on while I was driving and the engine sounded louder and like it did not have as much power. I went straight to the dealership. After a total of 2 1/2 weeks and a final diagnosis from California that I had a bad catalytic converter, I left with a torn up car. The technician got grease and dirt on my cloth seat, my floor mat and the door landing. They did not clean that up until I asked, and there was not even a courtesy car wash. It takes 2 days, at least, to get parts, and they do not follow up like they say they will. When I expressed my concerns to the dealership manager and co-owner, his concern was not what could have made my service experience better, it was to pay my rental expense and get me out the door. While I appreciated that money back, there were still lots of inconveniences and inconsiderations. They lost my bisiness the first time I picked my car up. The only reason I went back was because they were the ones that had just worked on the vehicle, and I thought surely they could get to the root of the problem. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. If you have a Kia, do not use this dealership. I do not plan on purchasing a new Kia now, but if I ever do...it will NOT be from this dealership.

I think it was total of a little less than 2 weeks that they kept my Nissan after the trade. I made many calls and trips to KIA, to try to clear up issues with either the smell that was making me sick, the radio, the speaker covers, the flashing warning lights and no tag arriving to me as they said it would. So many calls that some of the people became irritated at me. I was lied to and repeatedly taken advantage of because I was told they would do things they did not do until I persisted. Some things finally were accomplished. My car was never cleaned. In the beginning, almost always, I had to call back as no one would tell me what was going on. I finally told Kevin what had been going on and he promised he would take care of things and let me know what was going on, but in the end Kevin didnt do as he said he would either. Dec 30-2013. I traded a 2011 Honda CRZ with 34,754 miles and a 2002 Nissan with 121,000 for a 2010 Nissan with 68,000 miles. I thought it reasonable to expect that eventually, I would have a nice working radio, (as John thought the Sony in the car was working, that someone would show us how to use it) drivers side rearview mirror, speaker covers, a clean car that didnt smell like air freshener trying to cover up nastiness, and the tag from my previous car on the one I was getting. John acted like I should drive the car home, saying your car is ready even though it did not have a drivers side rearview mirror. Only when I stressed that that would be illegal did they put me in a Kia until they could get the mirror installed. In a few days I was told the car was ready again. I looked and saw the radio was not installed and the car was still dirty. I said I didnt want the car without those things being fixed, so they let me keep the loaner a few more days. Jan 6-14. I drove the dirty car without speaker covers or tag home and found a brake light flashing. I took it back to KIA and they gave me another loaner. After hearing John try to sell me the car and all the things he said or implied about what they would take care of on the car, I wasnt in a hurry, so I was patient, however, I was not trusting them because of all these issues: Later I went to pick up the car again as I was told once again that it was ready. I asked about the tag and John said wait a few minutes, then came back and said someone destroyed or threw away the tag and that he would order me a new one and they would pay for it. (Not my problem as there was a perfectly good tag before mine got destroyed.) He went to get a temporary tag to last until end of Jan. Keep in mind this is another time I had to tell them I am not driving this car off the lot until you get me legal. One of the times that my car was ready according to them, someone called to say Sorry, they forgot to call me, but my car was ready yesterday. Since that call came on Saturday, and I was at work until 6:00 pm many miles away, I could not get the car until Monday. (Over the time, I told John many times, that they needed to clean the car good. I developed a sinus infection during this time. John went so far as to say, I could bring the car to them to wash pretty much whenever I wanted to. I should have known then they were not truthful. Of course, being the reasonable person I am, I would not have brought my car back to be washed on the outside even one time.) My car still smelt very bad and I asked John if they changed the cabin air filter and he said he thought they had.1-16-14. I bought a cabin air filter from Autozone for $17.55.1-31-14. I drove back so they could put in the new cabin filter I bought. The filter they took out of my car was filthy and evidence that they had not really been trying to clean my car.2-4-14. I took the car to them so they could put the speaker covers on. I took vinegar for them to use to clean my seats and car insides. They acted as though they cleaned the car for the third time, even went so far as to rinse the outside off saying they washed it for me when the dirt on the wheels was still very plain to see. (The outside still being dirty was ok with me because I just wanted the inside clean!) I think they should have special machines that the average person does not have to clean upholstery and other things in the car. Most of the time that I talked to them, they were all smiles and sweet talk, but most everything was not done in a timely manner. I do not believe they would have put the speaker covers on had I not hounded them about it. I dont think they would have put in a working radio if I had not persisted about it. Like how they never cleaned the car good even though I kept telling them about it. They had kept the car so much, that I was concerned they wanted to use the 30 day rule against me. In other words they knew they were keeping my car during the trial days. Well that is not reasonable to use the 30 day rule when I didnt even have the car for 30 days after 12-30-13. 2-6-14. I called to ask where was the place was that installed my radio. I was told across from the Orangery in Knoxville. When I arrived in Knoxville across from The Orangery, I found out that was incorrect, so I called and asked again. Derrick got on the phone and said (without me prompting him) that he would fill up my tank because I was given wrong directions. I was going to take him up on that offer only because of the cabin filter I had to buy and the constant lies everyone kept telling.2-10-14. I went in to let them look at my flashing red airbag light. Derrick said, I have to drive your car to get the gas I promised you. When he came back, I noticed he lied because he only put in a few dollars and did not fill the tank. Derrick came to me and said that flashing light with the exclamation is because of the after factory wheels. I said not that light, the red airbag light I told you about. He said let me go look He came back and said they couldnt fix that because Kevin said I had my car past 30 days. Isnt that something, that, Derrick wanted me to hear about the light that I had not even asked about. Isnt that something, that, Kevin could say I had my car over 30 days, after all I had been through with them. I guess someone was offended when I told Kevin that I figured they had never ordered my tag when they said they did and maybe because they were having financial difficulties.2-19-14, today I found a lot of hail damage to my car. This is something they kept from me. I have not brought it to their attention since the managers have become hostile.

This is the first car dealership where I know I am going to be treated fairly. They have always given me the best service on my Kia Soul and go out of there way to do what they can to save me as much on the cost as well. Josh Hutson is fantastic!!!!! He has car knowledge and a pleasant manner which makes the customer service perfect. It's so important not in just picking the car you want, getting the best deal on it but what kind of service you are going to get for the life that you have that car and at Rusty Wallace Kia on Alcoa Hwy, Knoxville, TN, they know how to treat their customers from the start to the end of your experience of owning your Kia. This means a lot to this single woman!!!!!

My wife and I traded a 2002 Lincoln Navigator on 6/18 for a 2014 Kia Sorento. I was thoroughly impressed with our salesman Jimmy.It's rare to not feel pressured when buying a car,but he made it as smooth as he possibly could have.We were treated very well by the entire staff and got a fair deal on a vehicle that we liked.On the back end, our finance rep,Clay was as courteous and professional as Jimmy was out front. I just had two of my Daughters buy Kia's from Derek Smith at Rusty Wallace Kia on Alcoa Hwy. There is no way we can thank Derek and the rest of the staff enough. My first Daughter bought a used Kia. She was so nervous and Derek helped her right through every step. Ditto was wonderful with the financing and all her questions was explained,not just answered. My youngest bought a 2013 Kia Rio right off the floor. She knows nothing about cars and Derek walked her through every step. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone that wants honesty, great prices, dependable service, and a wonderful car buying experience.

I shopped around all day for cars at local dealers and Kia was my last stop (it was almost closing time). It was the first place I saw a car I actually fell in love with! It was a Sand colored Kia Sportage. Derek Smith walked me through the entire process and did a wonderful job explaining all my questions and concerns. This was the first time I had ever went on my own to purchase a new vehicle from a dealer. I am telling all my friends and family how pleased I was with the whole process. I am in love with my new car! Everyone should buy Kia my sister and I both have now!

I am a soon to be mommy and a recent college graduate and was in the market for a new car- well used, but new to me. After a bit of research, I found a Kia Forte that would fit me perfectly. Upon meeting Rob (my salesman)I knew I was at the right dealership. He was all around awesome (and funny!) and made sure I not only found the right car, but that I also had snacks and enjoyed the waiting process. Then I met Travis, superb GM, he is so down to earth and approachable. We spent time in conversation and he is so encouraging. Travis took things a step further and actually decided that I would be better in a NEW Kia Forte. That's right, 2013!! After consulting Harold (the finance manager) my dreams came true! Harold was very diligent in his efforts and wouldn't accept a 'NO'. He worked hard to make sure the deal was RIGHT and not a penny over what I was looking to spend. While I waited I met even more wonderful gentleman. Jimmy (who works internet sales) remembered me from a previous email I sent inquiring about the used Forte and he helped to make my time enjoyable as well. I also met Scott and Nathan in the service department- these men made sure that I knew all there is to know about my car AND the proper protocol to follow if ever I need to bring my car in for service (They have a loaner vehicle they provide while you wait to get your car serviced!! How great is that?!). I can not express how elated I am- not just about my new purchase, but also that I was able to FINALLY find a dealership that operates in honesty and excellency! I am now a KIA GIRL!! I have peace of mind knowing that me, my hubby and my future little one will be just fine in our new Forte. Final thoughts: if you're looking for a new (or pre-owned) vehicle, RUSTY WALLACE KIA is the place to go! And tell 'em Veronica Williams sent ya ;-)

we just bought a new Kia Soul from Rusty Wallace Kia, with the help of Jimmy Clark we experienced a very easy process,,,,,can't say anything negative about them.....Ditto worked very hard to get us the monthly payment we wanted and was so much fun to work with.....Jimmy was really great at helping us decide which car we wanted...no pressure and so patient......over all a super great experience.....you must give them a try!

I am writing to update a complaint I originally placed regarding Rusty Wallace Kia in May. My car was heavily damaged at the dealership in the April 27 hailstorm that hit the area while my car was being serviced. Insurance covered all damages with the exception of my deductible.
