It's been a very long time since my wife and I went shopping for a new vehicle. Our overall experience was very good. Our sales rep David was polite and patient. My old car from 2003 finally bit the dust, and after shuffling cars around, my wife needed a new one. We were interested in the new MINI EV, so went down and took a test drive with Andrew. We loved the car and decided to go for it. Andrew was very helpful at every step in the process, explained everything, and really gave us the time and space to make our decisions. Irene helped us once we got into the finance phase, and she was also very patient and helpful in answering all of our questions. My wife and I would both highly recommend buying a car from Andrew and the rest of the extremely professional crew down at MINI of San Diego.

Probably the best car buying experience I’ve ever had. My salesperson, Yari, did her best to complete everything possible before I went in, this ensured the whole process went smoothly. The sales and finance team were welcoming and personable. It was actually fun, which is not something I thought I would ever say about buying a car. I was strolling around San Diego with my family but was also on a look-out for a MINI. We happened to find a great pre-owned car at the Mini of San Diego and was assisted by David. He was very helpful and patient during our purchase process. Irene also helped to make our payment process run smoothly. My wife and I found a vehicle on the San Diego Mini website and used the website to get in contact with a sales rep. This third party service (Trilogy) called me to set up an appointment with sales. We showed up a few minutes early for our appointment and I informed the gentlemen at the front desk in the sales showroom that we were here for a 5:00pm appointment with Allen. (Note: The sales agents are dressed way too casual for my liking. There is no substitute for professionalism!) Immediately, everyone seemed confused! A few minutes later, Allen came out to introduce himself and he stated that he is the Sales Manager. Shortly thereafter he guided us to a sales rep, Stacey. I'm watching all the commotion as collectively, the sales team is looking for my internet lead. They had no idea I was coming in or what 2 cars I was interested in. Stacey, (only being there 3 weeks was still learning the ropes) said we need to walk out to the vehicle that "I told her" I was interested in. They could not find the key or the stock number to even look for a key until "I told her" what it was. We were about to walk all the way out to the holding lot just to get a stock number and then have to wait for Stacey to walk all the way back to the showroom to get the key and walk all the way back. I ended up telling Stacey what the stock number was so she found they key.We finally get to the car and 1. Its filthy and 2. The build sheet in the window states it was a manual transmission but was indeed an automatic?????? Now, we are all at the car, 2017 Clubman S ALL-4. I pointed out that the build sheet was incorrect and Stacey told me that the manual is an automatic! By this time I knew she was new and just let it go. I informed her that the website was confusing with the features and options and I confirmed by looking at the car that this is not what I wanted. My wife is a holding back some disgruntlement by this time and we all walk back to the showroom.We wait about 5-7 minutes as there is still some confusion in the showroom and the other sales agents seem hesitant to assist Stacey with a build using the computer/Mini website. Another female sales agent, I'm sorry I forgot her name (it may be Alicia) but her demeanor blatantly showed she did not want to assist. She was dry and initially she wasn't acknowledging our concerns. There were a few misunderstandings over the packages available, but she clarified them. After clearing that up, my wife and I found the price of the vehicle to be way too high for what we would be getting. This is a MINI.......it is not a BMW and there seems to be some confusion here. A MINI is a MINI and a BMW is a BMW. Stop comparing it to the BMW! I don't care who engineers it or makes it. They decided to call it a MINI, not a BMW. This is not a luxury car so why the luxury car prices?After, the decision was made to walk away from the MINI and deciding to take my up to $48K preapproval elsewhere, I walked over to Allen and expressed my concerns regarding everything listed above. He was very professional and apologized for the bad experience. I expressed to him that this whole thing from start to finish was not a good! What The Trilogy Call Center Service told me was going to happen was not what happened. I highly recommend taking that "third party" out of the process. The rapport needs to be between the sales agent and the consumer as this relationship is where a sale begins. Obviously enough, as witnessed, the other agents were not very busy so they have enough time to initiate contact from an internet lead. A sale takes a little work!Allen stated that this is the second time a customer has come in stating they had an appointment with him that he was unaware of! He also attempted to "save" us by showing us a few numbers and cars that they could work a deal on. Ultimately, we declined and thanked him for his time. We left and went right next door to Acura just because it was there! The sales/consumer experience was TOP NOTCH! Scott Barker from Acura has his process on lock. Bottom line is, 2 test drivers and 4 hours later, we left Acura in a 2016 TLX 4DR, V6, Automatic, AWD, FULLY LOADED for $46K. Not MINI Fully Loaded which is not truly fully loaded! WAY MORE CAR AND FEATURES FOR THE MONEY!

Every since I stepped foot in MINI of San Diego I have been pleased with their service. During the time I was shopping for a car I had a not so great experience at a different dealership so I wasn't sure what to expect when I walked into MINI of San Diego however when I did I exhaled. Everyone was pleasant I didn't feel the hustle and bustle that I did from the previous dealership. Jay worked with me to get the car that I wanted and deserved. I recently wasn't sure if my MINI was ready for service so I stopped by MINI just to ask a few questions and found that it was time. Anthony took care of me and fit me right in. My MINI was serviced in no time and while I waited I enjoyed the lounging area and some nice cold water and made it to my gym class with time to spare. I'm never disappointed when I go to MINI no matter what the reason.

No matter I bring my car in for service or just stop by for minor assistance, they are there for me greeting with a friendly smile. For any type services or repairs, I know I am in good hands and drive off my car with confidence and peace of mind. For the past few years when I get my appointments at MINI, I received personal attention from Anthony. He knows my car, spends time to listen and to understand my needs or when I am in doubt with car problem, he explains so well that I know exactly what it needs to get fixed or simply just educate me to further understand how my MINI operates. I cannot say enough nice things about this place. Three years later and the service is still always on point and the staff is extremely helpful with great energy. My service advisor is Anthony and he always takes care of me, whether it's a scheduled maintenance or a pop up emergency; he will make stuff happen. In the event that he isn't there, someone else always steps up and does just as well. I highly recommend this place for both purchase and service.

Aaron Haji is the absolute best at what he does! I email and ask for help on parts or for basic service... And within minutes I get a response and a slot in the schedule. And getting a rental in 5 minutes could not be any easier. I rent my Mini out on RelayRides and because of the AMAZING work that this dealership does, I continue to get repeat renters!!! THANK YOU!!! I found a used Mini and wanted to have it looked at by the experts at MINI of San Diego. Jason Brown, Service Adviser, was the first person I spoke to. He was honest and forthright about the health of the used Mini I'd brought in and gave me a lot of really good information to help me make an informed decision. After careful consideration I decided to spring for a brand new Mini and in January I became the owner of a gorgeous 2015 Mini Cooper Hardtop. The purchase experience was a breeze with no pressure whatsoever and whenever I had technical or mechanical questions Jason was always there to answer them either by phone or by email. Recently I noticed an unpleasant odor when the a/c was on so I took it in to Jason to have it looked at. There were a few other minor issues (including a crack in my windshield) that I got fixed at the same time and Jason kept in touch, making sure to offer updates so I would know the status of the repair. I was even given a loaner Mini. Jason handled the entire process so smoothly and when it was time for me to pick up my Mini he had it ready to go so there was no waiting. Thank you Jason Brown and the entire team at MINI of San Diego!

I have always had good service here. If there is any problem ever they fix it right away. Aaron Haji is my regular advisor and has been very attentive and accommodating. I have used other advisors there that are good but he's the best. I am moving out of San Diego and will miss this dealership.

This was my first visit to Mini of San Diego. I recently relocated to San Diego from Los Angeles where I leased my first Mini--a 2013 Mini S. It was time for my Mini's scheduled service and my whole experience--from making the appointment to check-in, receiving regular updates throughout the service period from my service advisor Aaron Haji, to the pick up of my vehicle--have all been exemplary! Mini has a beautiful showroom and lounge area and Aaron's service was top notch. I felt confident and comfortable with Aaron's handling of my service experience and highly recommend him!

When i first started shopping for a car - the first thing i notice was there Motto "Mini Experience" and in the back of my head.... Ya Right!!! it will be just your typical car dealer that will provide you service till you purchase the car and will blow you off if you run into any issue.... Well i own my car now for 3 years and been to the service dept at least 6 times total and there is always one person that provided excellent customer service and that's Anthony Palomo!!! Mini of San Diego service department is great. I didn't buy my Mini here but I've been taking my Mini Cooper S here for service the last 8 years if not longer. Jason Brown is my service adviser as long as I can remember and he is great. Jason and his manager Terry, always go beyond what's needed to take care of me. I've had my Mini for 10 years, so there are more problems as the car gets older. They take care of me every time I come in. Even though it costs me money every time I take the car in, but actually don't mind it as much when I go to Mini of San Diego because of Jason and Terry. I'm buying another Mini soon, knowing that I will be very well taken care of. You better stick around for another 10 years, Jason. :)

I've had an outstanding experience with Mini of San Diego. I bought my 2013 Countryman from them. They made the whole buying process easy, I got a great rate on the car I wanted. They took their time to explain the whole process. No hard selling and super friendly. I also take my car to them for all maintenance. It's super easy to make appointments and they usually give me a loaner car which gives me a chance to take the new models out for a spin. The service has always been done right the first time and they are great with their follow up. The dealership itself is great if you are going to wait for service. They have drinks, tv's and a nice lounge where I've hung out and did some work while they were doing a quick service and wash on my car. If you're going to buy a Mini, don't go anywhere else.

The staff at Mini of San Diego buys into the MINI Experience whole heartedly. My family has bought 2 new Minis here and both times the experience was low pressure but the staff have enthusiasm for the product. The sales force kept me appraised of new promotions and discounts throughout the process of "building" my Mini and ordering it from the factory. The service department is top notch. They always discuss different options and have suggested outside vendors for cosmetic work if they feel that they don't offer the best value. You can always get a loaner Mini if you need it and this gives you the opportunity to try out different models and features.

I have utilized the service department several times in San Diego and they are far superior! They are professional, accommodating, and have the best customer service I have ever experienced! I want to especially point out Anthony Polomo as my service adviser, he is simply the best! He is ethical and knowledgable and professional and has been able to problem solve any servicing needs for my mini in a timely and effiecient way....and has fantastic customer service as well. I would (and do) highly recommend Mini of San Diego!!!!!!!!

I bought my Mini new from this dealer and have had it serviced regularly through them as well. I get exactly what they promised and sometimes more. They keep me up to date and get approval before any unexpected service is done. They are friendly and provide a shuttle to and from my work so I don't have to coordinate any rides. I would buy another Mini from them and plan on doing that in the near future. Keep up the good work.

I only bring my mini to this dealer for repaires. I'm always able to get a schedule in a timely manner. They are very good with loaner cars even with a last minute appointment. I've owned my Mini for over 4 yrs and every time I come into the dealership Anthony always greets me with a smile. It doesn't matter if its been a few months or a yrs since I've been in he always remembers me. His friendly, knowledgeable and always goes out of his way to take care of me and my car. The dealership is very clean and there's free coffee and tea in the lobby. There is also a big TV and the staff is very friendly. I never have to wait longer than 5 mins once I check in to be helped. I've purchase other cars from other dealerships and I honestly have to say that Mini of San Diego has by far been the best and hassle free experience ever.

I've been taking my 2011 Mini Cooper S for regular routine maintenance to be serviced at Mini of San Diego for the past two years. Anthony Palomo is my Service Advisor at that location. Every single time I have been there, he has made the experience feel like a visit with a great friend. As far as car dealerships goes it is one of the best I've ever done business with. But what makes the experience extraordinary is the relationship with my Service Writer Anthony Palomo. What can I say? Anthony will go the extra 20 miles to help you. His expertise, tech knowledge, attitude and communication skills are superb. Anthony had been my service writer for 2.5 years. He is the best! I drive 40 miles from my home in order to work with Anthony. He explains everything, has tried to help me with a car issue while on the phone. He always makes sure everything is complete before I drive back to the dealership. There are closer mini dealerships but I would not go to them. Anthony takes care of his customers and from what I see they all appreciate him! He's the best! I have recommended Anthony to other mini owners I know.

In 2013, I purchased my first Mini Cooper - a Hardtop 2 door from Mini of San Diego. It was a pre-owned Mini Cooper with an existing boot to bonnet maintenance plan. The purchasing process was a long one (a few hours), but I left with an amazingly fun and super fast car. I was told to contact the dealership if I had any issues. The first time I called I spoke with Anthony P. and he listened patiently to my complaint and suggested I bring it in for service. Come to find out there wasn't anything wrong with my car, but he had it looked at all the same (I wasn't used to driving a car with this kind of power). Another time that I needed service, I was able to have the car looked at right away and provided a loaner car, that is so nice of them to offer this service. Finally in the early part of 2015, the maintenance plan on my Hardtop 2 door was coming to an end. So I planned a trip to Mini of San Diego to take a look at my options. What do you know a few hours later I was the proud owner of a Hardtop 4 door. I made a great deal that day, thanks to Raffi and the finance manager. Everyone in the service department has, on a consistent basis, provided stellar customer service. From my experience, they go above and beyond to make sure that my visit was satisfactory and if it wasn't they want to make it right.

Bought a MINI from MINI of San Diego in 2011. The overall process was great... had to wait for the car to arrive, but when you order to spec, you have to assume that will be the case. Since owning it have had the car in numerous times for maintenance (almost all of it planned). Working with the team there has always been straightforward and easy. Anthony Palomo is my service advisor and he does a great job setting my expectations, getting me taken care of in a timely fashion, and making sure I understand options, etc. Overall zero complaints at all on the service, which is not something I can say about many places.

Ok, shopping for a used Audi Q5 at this dealership. Welcomed, nice smiles, cool guys. Great talk, used car got inspected, warranty, we stand behind each car we sell. That's talk. The facts: the car I inspected had oil leak at the top of the engine. How could they not see that when supposedly inspected the car? Bottom line: great talk and nice ambiance does not make the car good. Do you own inspection very carefully.

I was in contact over email and phone with Ken Tomei regarding a used FJ Cruiser. We talked about issues with the car, base price, taxes, and fees. I altered my work schedule to meet during the day. Ken told me there was only one dent in the car. Ken did not disclose damage on two body panels that were visible in person but difficult to see in photos. The damage was on the front wheel fenders in the same location on opposing sides of the car above the suspension and he was trying to convince me it was just part of the design of the car. As we test drove the car, I saw another FJ Cruiser on the road and I pulled over to point out it was in fact damage. I spoke to his sales manager and he was not very concerned. He stated he did not know how the damage was caused. Instead of apologizing for not disclosing the damage, he said "so are you still interested in the car?" I don't leave many reviews but I would give a review for outstanding or exceptionally poor circumstances. I just had to give notice to customers who are about to pay a large sum of money to a business that would tell you anything to take it. Please do your homework before you buy here.

Brought an ad on a particular 2011 Mini with me to Mini of San Diego. This ad promised me many options for THIS vehicle that I did not get. Some I noticed right away and some over the next few weeks. (I am sixty five years old and female so it took me a little longer to realize that items promised to me were not on the vehicle) The vin number was on the ad and it said that these items were included. Fog lights, premium sound system, center console, and leather seats and leather interior were some of what I did not get - as promised. I still have the ad and I am reporting them.

This dealer was great! Everything for the service department to sales. Brought my car in for service for regular routine maintenance (which was GREAT!) and never would have thought that I would be going home in a brand new car that same day. The staff was very friendly and very welcoming. The sale process was smooth and easy and I was out of there within an hour. The manager was also very helpful.. he introduced himself and offered any help or assistance with anything. 5 star dealer. I would definitely recommend this dealer to everyone!!
