Coming into this experience as a first time buyer i was rather pretentious, but after speaking with Charles about my scenario he helped the process seem much less daunting. I must also add that he was incredibly up-front about any and all inquiries and had a prompt and educated answer for me every time, and when he didn't know he was honest. I asked to see two specific vehicles, and was able to test drive both with no problems. After making my choice, Rich walked me through the financial paperwork. As I walked in, I met Dan Adams, who seemed truly genuine about putting me in the right vehicle to fit my needs.Dan also helped relieve my nerves about the stress of purchasing a car, with his personality and ability to just joke around/poke fun at my wife and I. Rodney goes above and beyond to satisfy all your needs. I was all approved for my new car all I had to do is the paperwork and take delivery. Rodney asked when would be a good day for Me? I told him I was trying to get a ride for Friday but was having a problem because everyone I knew worked days. He said I'll pick you up! He drove just under an hour in lousy weather to pick me up and bring me in. He even showed up in my new car a 2016 Ford Fusion and let me drive back. He was very attentive to me even after getting to the dealership. There's a lot of salesman out there who could learn from this man. Thanks Rodney for a great experience buying a vehicle.

Walking into the dealership was intimidating at first, but after I settled down to talk to Rich about exactly why it was I was there--I needed a new car same day, I didn't have much to put down--he was more than willing to work with me, and I appreciated his patience. I purchased a Ford CMax from Richard. He and the other staff were freindly, courteous, and professional. I knew what I wanted before coming on the lot, and nobody wasted my time with silly games or tactics that I experienced at other dealerships. Vehicle was missing a couple of accessories that were included when the car was new. Merchants Auto replaced the missing items at their expense. I took one star off because the EV battery was not charged when I took delivery. Otherwise, it was a refreshing and happy experience!

Before going to the dealership I looked at the cars available online. The website was easy to use. I decided to check out the Nissan Juke, within a few minutes they handed me the keys. They even let me test drive the car by myself. My car saleswoman was Lisa P. She wasn't pushy, just very informative ands helpful. I had her run a bunch of different payment plans. The process went smoothly and only took a total of 2.5 hours between the test drive and driving off the lot in my new car! I love the Nissan Juke and I am thankful to Merchants for the great customer experience as this was the first car I have ever purchased. Thank you.

I went to Merchants Auto because I heard about them a while ago and knew that had a large inventory of used vehicles. Used vehicles is what they do. Well I met Dan Adams at the front door and within a couple hours he set me on the purchase of the Honda Pilot. Dan was a good guy that was fun to deal with. He also listened to what I was asking for and gave me the guidance that I needed. I was planning on buying a truck but within hours I adjusted with some good thought and ended up with a car that was a nice ride but could do what I need as far as the strength to use my trailer. Over all it was a good experience with Merchants Auto and Dan. The transaction was easy and I felt like I was being treated as a person and not an object. It was a fun experience. Thank You

We called in and we were told to come meet with Scott. He led us to Lisa. We couldn't have been happier. Lisa was great, she and the finance team worked on getting us into a vehicle which we could not finish in one evening due to time. We were not hassled to leave a deposit, we just said we would be back and that's how it was left. We returned and everything was waiting for us , the cars to test drive, all of the paperwork. My mom and I needed a new affordable car, as ours was no longer functional or safe to drive in.Our sales consultant Peter Phaneuf helped my mom get into a car that she could easily afford payments on and enjoyed. Out of many options we were given we decided on a 2015 Hyundai which was a very reliable pick and was perfect for our all needs. Peter was very friendly and very understanding about our financial issues and helped us get into a great car without breaking the bank. Would definitely go back if I ever needed another car.

I had found car I was interested on-line, an Audi A6. Price was in range of others I had seen in market. Age, mileage, color were what I was looking for and I had a less than stellar experience at an Audit dealership the day before - I walked away from a deal. My experience at Merchants was entirely opposite. I called in the AM - confirmed the car was still available. Called me back shortly after to have me ask for Chris Kordas when I got there that evening. Arrived, was in the car taking a test drive shortly there after. Stated I was interested and asked for a slightly reduced price - Chris did a quick check with manager and came back and we had a deal. Was back day after next with a check (paid cash) and was out of there. I did ask about their extended warranty - after review I stated lack of interest - no problem - no pressure. Easy peasy. I was in the market to sell my Jeep. My husband filled out the online Kelly Blue Book information and our quote was sent within minutes. When we arrived at Merchants Auto we were greeting by two salesmen who kindly brought us to Scott, the one in charge of "buying" cars. We sat down and had a great conversation about my jeep, his family, and our pregnancy. The offer he gave us for my Jeep was what we were looking for. We were only there for about 30minutes and the deal was done with a handshake. I returned the next day to see Scott, as he was expecting me. I saw a car of theirs I liked and requested information about it. A salesman contacted me by phone call, got information from me about my finances and what I was looking for car-wise. He was very excited and I made an appointment with him for the next day to look at the car. When I arrived the next evening for my appointment, a few minutes early, I told them the name of the salesman I had an appointment with and they said they would page him. My husband and I waited at a table in their lobby for a half hour before they came back and said the salesman had already left for the day. I felt like I was unimportant and wondered how my appointment could have been over-looked. A different salesman offered to help me. We sat down, figured out my budget, and he started talking to me about available cars. When talking about my finances he made the assumption that I was younger than I was. He showed me a few cars that were in my budget, but most were higher. I showed interest in a couple, but were eventually told they were unavailable (in the shop or the keys were taken out). I left without test driving anything or seeing a car I liked. A disappointing experience. I bought my car elsewhere.

My husband and I didn't have the best credit rating. We d, both, been divorced and well, Im sure that's all I need to say. I had my heart set on a new Chrysler Sebring. We had gone from dealer to dealer without success. Then, we walked into Bonneville & Son and met, Rodney Mathews. In about an hour, I was driving away in my new Sebring Convertible. We have purchased 8 vehicles, through Rodney, in the past twenty years. He listens, gives good advice, and makes the deal happen. We have always felt that the deal made was in our best interest. We trust in him. HE IS who I called, recently, because, again, we were trying to make a new purchase. He was unable to make the sale as Merchants doesn't deal in new cars. He is a very busy yet he found the time to offer advice and help us make the best deal possible for us. I'm talking many many emails and conversations. Who does that? As far as I'm concerned, there is no better person in the industry to work with.

Joe Hodgson was my dealer at Merchants. He spent the time with me to make sure I got the vehicle that I wanted. There was zero pressure and I never felt like I was getting a bad deal. Their mechanic shop is huge and very clean. They deal in volume, not price so they are motivated to move cars. I got mine well below kbb value. The thing I really liked, even though it's small, is that they keep all their cars with a full tank of gas. They also do not sell any car that they don't stand behind 100% there were a lot of cars there that looked ok but we're bwing sent to auction because they didn't make the cut. A+ service and experience. I will be back for the next car and will tell my friends about Merchants Auto.

After going to three dealers and getting blown off cause I wanted out of my lease I heard Merchants commercial about helping people get out of a lease, so I headed over. My salesman was Joe, great guy, did not feel pushed, and he was knowledgeable about Toyota trucks which helped me even more. Took a nice long test drive which is abnormal at any dealer, usually it's a scoot around the block. We hit back roads and highway so I could really feel how this truck handled. I really liked the truck so we proceeded to play the numbers game. Eric was very understanding about my lease issues and tried real hard to get me where I needed to be. I had some money limits but Eric pulled it off. I couldn't believe it, now why couldn't any of the other dealers do that ? Answer: LAZINESS. Once that was complete Joe walked me over to the service department, showed me around and even setup my first oil change. Our salesman was Paul Moulaison; he was prompt for the appointment and set it for a Sunday, a time that i could make it and on a day he had off. The newer Grand Cherokee had many upgrades compared to her older model. Paul sat with her and programmed her phone to hands free and entered her information in to the new car. i think that was the point she finally relaxed and was comfortable with the newer stuff. Our story goes like thismy husband and I live in Vermont and we both work in Massachusetts, but we listen to a radio station out of New Hampshire106.1, we hear the Merchants Auto advertising on the station and enjoy the ads very much, we have our favoriteBilly, this is getting outta hand, anyhow, Merchants Auto, your advertising works! When we were thinking of trading and buying another car, my husband immediately said lets go to Merchants Auto. My response was way over there? (1 hour 45 min drive) We looked around in our town and the only vehicles affordable had 75000+ miles, I dont think soWe took the drive and we were so pleasantly surprised with our experience. The minute we got out of our truck (with our very timid 10 month old rescue pup) and headed for the door, we were welcomed by 2-3 employees and they had no problem with bringing little Lucy in with us, I knew I would like them right away!! Our salesman, Rodney Mathews greeted us and Lucy and his first question was if she needed any wateraweso we sat down with him and explained exactly what we wanted and what price point we needed. He had a huge list, 4-5 pages of vehicles and began telling us about a 2013 Nissan Rogue. So, I wanted to go over the numbers before driving it and falling in love with it, and he did just what we had requested. Then came the test drive, my husband was like, ok, you take it for a drive and I will stay here with LucyRodney insisted that she go with uswho ever heard of a dealership letting a dog in a vehicle for a test drivenot this girl! Needless to say, we drove it and fell in love with it! (Lucy too!) Before leaving with the new vehicle, while Rodney was setting up and explaining the blue tooth, Lucy started kissing him from the back seat!Rodney then walked us over to the service area to introduce us to the service department and set us up a free oil change, as well as informing us that had we lived in NH the inspections are free! He also informed us that they have a runner that will be delivering the Vermont registration paperwork as well!We just wanted to let Merchants Auto and especially Rodney Mathews know how appreciative we are with all that you did for us, we felt like you were a friend, not just a salesman, with not one feeling of pressure at all. There is such a great selection at Merchants, so this was a fun process. He ended up showing me a Grand Cherokee. Never thought I would own one. But he had a lot of knowledge about the vehicle that after driving it I wanted it! We now have a nice and safe family SUV. The entire process was super easy from start to finish. They have it down to a science. I know most car dealers do, but it was a really friendly and inviting atmosphere too. So it made you want to do business there. And continue to in the future. Rodney Mathews made the car buying experience extremely comfortable. We have purchased many vehicle over the years and we always "dread" the time we "waste" on buying a vehicle. Today was a completely different experience because of Rodney. We lucked out walking in and meeting Rodney. He is extremely knowledgeable and listened intently to our needs. Everyone I met was genuinely interested in finding me the best vehicle for my situation regardless of who I ended up buying from. In the end Merchant's prices could not be beaten! Paul was very knowledgeable about the features of the vehicles I was viewing. I was contacted immediately and found out that I was pre-approved for the car that I was interested in and didn't need a cosigner. This was a huge relief and Mark Chartrand greeted us when we got there with the car we were interested in. We test drove it and another and decided on the second car, the price was right and I cannot say enough about how easy the process was thanks to Mark and Gordon! I called and was told I had an appointment Saturday with a manager I had a salesman call me and tell me the man wasn't a manager only a person who books appointments. Told me he needed to know where the credit app was I said my cousin did it on the website and he said he would call back. He did 11 times in four minutes while I was in the shower and leaves a message with his personal cell phone telling me it will take an act of congress to trade in the car they sold me 13 months ago. Then a manager calls me today and puts words into my mouth I've never used in my life because I asked for a different salesman because I couldn't understand the one I had last year and I wanted too make sure I heard everything correct. I have all phones calls recorded and voicemails from this nasty salesman saved including his personal cell phone. 11 phone calls in a day is excessive never mind within a four minute period. Then when I get a call back they yell at me like it's my fault when all they do is treat people like dirt make you sit there for hours on end and do t bother to help you. In house financing is a joke stay away from this place it's bad and the AG's office is investigating them now and had had many complaints from what they told me. Quick summary: Rodney was incredibly helpful, never pushy. Staff worked together for a smooth, quick transaction. Bent over backward to get me financing when I was in a tight spot. Definitely recommended! This was my first time purchasing a car from a dealership. I got caught in a serious mess after my last car died right as I started a new job, and I was afraid I'd have to wait out the three weeks until I had two new paystubs. I filled out the online financing application late Friday night. Rodney texted me in the morning. I explained about the paystubs and he went to work to get me financing without them! Got me pre-approved within an hour! Went out to the lot after spending a couple hours crawling the online inventory to see what I liked. We were able to hop right in and test drive all the ones on my list, no hassle. Rodney had answers to all my questions, and asked me several that helped me figure out what I liked and didn't like about each car; as a first time buyer, this was extremely helpful! He was in no way aggressive or pushy; he helped me figure it out but he never tried to push me in one direction or another. I was extremely anxious about ending up in a high pressure sales situation, but shopping with Rodney was like shopping with a friend! After I picked out the two I liked best, he went back to talk to Eric. They were able to get me the payment range I was looking for, on the more expensive of the cars I picked out! Rodney even set up the deal so I was able to drive the car away despite not having my trade in there with me! Eric took the time to honestly explain all the warranty options, and walked me through what it all meant; very friendly and patient! They tag teamed the paperwork so by the time I finished the loan and warranty decisions, and registering for new insurance (on Rodney's computer; again, so helpful!), I only waited about three minutes before all the paperwork was ready to be signed. Walked right out to my new car! Rodney already had all the stickers off, and the temp plates on. He even helped me hook up my phone to the Bluetooth. Drove off the lot grinning like an idiot. The whole thing took a little less than three hours, from driving in to driving out. I definitely recommend Rodney and MAG for your next buy!

Today we stopped in just to check out used cars and thought Merchants was closed, which they were supposed to be. But, I guess they stay open as long as people are here. Ryan came out to see if he could help us and showed us some of the many cars on their lot. I ended up finding a great used 2012 Sentra. It looks new and rides great. Ryan Spada was very patient with us and gave us all of the specifics about the car and we were able to get a great deal. He even served us up some coffee and popcorn. By the time we were done the auto car wash area was closed so Ryan actually washed and cleaned my car by hand! Great service!!! Very pleasant experience. The finance manager was very helpful as well. I came to find out about Merchants Auto from a radio commercial. I was able to check their inventory online and was contacted by Mark. I was able to complete a credit app online and be approved before ever going to the dealership. I call about the cars I was interested in and scheduled an appointment. Rich was professional and non-confrontational. I really was impressed with the sales process. It took me longer to get my insurance company to fax the binder, than it did to buy the car. I'm sure I could have saved a few bucks shopping around...but I will gladly spend a little more to get through the process pain free. They were surprisingly honest about my options. I was leary to trust them or any other dealership. Zach was very helpful in determining what the best steps were with my lease expiring in 2 months. I have never had a better experience car shopping. We went in today with specific needs and criteria, and we honestly expected to be laughed out the door. Our situation is not exactly ideal, but we reached out to Merchants for assistance. In a few short hours, we not only were presented with TWO vehicles that exceeded our expectations - but we received such friendly, hospitable, seamless service and I couldn't have asked for anything more! After doing some research online and reading reviews of Merchants Auto,my wife and I decided to go to Merchants Auto to look for a new vehicle. We looked at the online inventory and decided on the vehicle we liked. Apon the arrival we were greeted by Rodney Mathews who was extremely friendly and curteous. Met at the door by Jim. He was welcoming and happy to help us. We explained our situation and he did not run away. Another bonus! We were attracted to Merchants by the credit ads on the radio station (WHOM). The staff is very friendly. It is a good reminder that many of the staff are in one open room. What is said is heard by everyone in the room, guest, customer, and staff. When we returned to pick the new vehicle up, the gentleman at the door remembered us and that we were here to see Jim. Super star on hospitality. Over all a good experience. We appreciate the candor of the sales positions and that our time was valued.

He helped to explain the car buying process and I felt that he listened to what we wanted, and made it happen for us. Then he and his finance manager Steve worked hard to make sure that we could get the best interest rate possible, trying to save us money. Never did I feel pressure to buy and I really appreciate the experience. My new car is great, and the dealership even offered the first oil change for free.

I was told to come see Merchant's Auto by my girlfriend for my new car. I went on to the website, found a car I wanted and filed out the online financing application. I received a phone call from Merchant's to set up an appointment. The experience was amazing. There was never a "no" answer. Ryan was amazing, he greeted me at the door and we started the process. The car I initially wanted was no longer available, but Ryan found one that I would be approved for and we went on a test drive. I anticipate having an awesome experience with Merchant's based solely on the initial sales experience. Everyone, including Ryan, was extremely friendly and very professional. I had a good experience with Merchants. Rich Interrante was personable from the start, greeted us at the door, and made us feel welcome. The dealership was clean and friendly, and we enjoyed the beautiful aquarium and popcorn cart. Rich was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful fron the moment we walked in the door. We were in and out in under 3 hours, and picked our car up 4 days later. There were a few small things I noticed, after getting home, that I wasn't thrilled about, but nothing major. Rich was a pleasure to work with, and I would highly recommend Merchants. The free state inspection every year, and complimentary car washes are a bonus.

This is the second vehicle I have bought here, the customer service was excellent, the dealership was very clean and neat. My sales person was not high pressure, he brought me directly to the vehicles I found online and wanted to see. This is the vehicle I just purchased, negotiations were less painful than I expected. I really felt that they would give me the best deal possible, and they would take care of me if I had any problems with the car. I gave a poor review on the fact that the tires on the car are just barely passing and when I questioned it they said they passed the inspection and that was that! I would have preferred buying a pretty new car to have new tires as well. No resolution to the tire issue was offered.

I walked into Merchants anticipating on the process taking 2-4 business days since it was a Sunday. Within 2 hours I had been fully approved and signing papers on a beautiful Chevy Equinox! I was given the CarFax and also purchased the extended coverage (bumper to bumper) for a beyond reasonable price. my salesman Joe Hodgson is an outstanding salesperson, I have dealt with Joe in the past many time at different car dealerships that he work at, so when I needed a used car I thought of Joe first. as usual Joe got the job done. I looked down at used car dealerships and only came to Merchant because of Joe." I TRUST HIM" ! But as the process went on purchasing my car Steve (sorry forgot last name) financial manger that set up my loan was awesome as well. I bought my car on Friday and pick it up on Saturday, but on Sunday when I plugged in my radar machine the plate came out and had no power to that out let. I drove down to the dealership ASAP but Joe was off and the sales staff that was working was helpful in directing to the service depart. I literally had lost hope in my car search due to no credit, new residence and new job all things working against me and every car dealer I visited were not even in the slightest bit interested in helping. I go to merchants to meet with Scott one of their managers and right from the start was very professional not pushy and HONEST not salesman xxxxxxxxx tactics. He found out I was a disabled veteran not only thanked me for my service but assured me they would do everything in there power to help me out and that was nothing short of the truth. He turned me over to one of his salesman Ryan Gendron who in all my years of dealing with car salesman he is by far the best. He was calm not over the top, extremely personable well beyond the call of duty and everything he promised happened. We went back and forth with finding a lender and a suitable program but he had me approved and car shopping in no time! We shared stories of different places we had traveled he showed me pictures of his daughter and most of all genuinely cared about my situation and find me a car! Long story short I go in thinking they will turn me down to the next day buying a 2015 Chrysler 200! I can't stress enough the dedication and professionalism of this dealership and their employees I will never shop anywhere else ever again and would highly recommend this place to anyone with any credit situation they will truly do everything they can to make something for your needs and budget not just trying to make a quick sale for the commission! So I had a decent experience with the salesman. But I purchased my car before it had been threw there shop. So I had wait for them to go threw the car. Picked it up a few days later only to find many problems that should have been addressed. So dropped it back off to be fixed. So I get the car back 10 days later only to find some issues not fixed and they broke something when they had it. So I had to bring it back again. 18 days later I got the call to pick it up. And wouldn't you know it still not fixed. So 5 weeks after purchasing my car I finally have and it's still broken but I am done dealing with them.

I drove to Merchants expecting the "typical" car buying experience where you get accosted by sales people before you can even make it into the dealership, and then go through the agonizing haggling with vehicle price. Then there is the financing...which is a whole other headache at other dealerships I have encountered in the past. NOT at Merchants! We were welcomed into the dealership without any stress. We sat down with Chris Kordas in Sales who was straight forward, easy going, and not at all judgmental. We knew which vehicles we were looking for from the website and Chris was able to quickly give us an update on the vehicles' availability. We sat with Steve Coimbria in Finance and we were given options as far as financing and were not pressured for a decision. We found an issue with the contract following our purchase and called Chris...he was able to easily rectify the situation with Marcus Luce and we received a new corrected contract without any aggravation or bother. I would definitely buy from Merchant's again. It was a pleasant experience from beginning to end and from GM to Sales staff, Service department, and cashier. Thanks. Our salesman was very patient with us . After driving several cars and not finding a perfect match we went home, not sure if the vehicle, mileage requirements and price range we wanted would even be achievable Our salesman went ABOVE and BEYOND our expectations, sending us photos of cars he thought we might be interested in. Several suggestions later he found the car we were looking for! He took care of all the paperwork and had it ready, all we had to do was show up and test drive the car. I drove to Merchants expecting the "typical" car buying experience where you get accosted by sales people before you can even make it into the dealership, and then go through the agonizing haggling with vehicle price. Then there is the financing...which is a whole other headache at other dealerships I have encountered in the past. NOT at Merchants! We were welcomed into the dealership without any stress. We sat down with Chris Kordas in Sales who was straight forward, easy going, and not at all judgmental. We knew which vehicles we were looking for from the website and Chris was able to quickly give us an update on the vehicles' availability. We sat with Steve Coimbria in Finance and we were given options as far as financing and were not pressured for a decision. We found an issue with the contract following our purchase and called Chris...he was able to easily rectify the situation with Marcus Luce and we received a new corrected contract without any aggravation or bother. I would definitely buy from Merchant's again. It was a pleasant experience from beginning to end and from GM to Sales staff, Service department, and cashier. Thanks. He made sure that we were fully understanding of what transactions were going to take place and made sure that we were both fully satisfied with our new purchases. He helped to remove the Thule racks from one of the trade-ins, even with the weather being below zero that evening. The dealer did not go over my deal with me. Never gave me details of what I was getting for my car, I was offered $500 when I checked on line but when I got to the dealership they said all it was worth was $200 but Lisa never told me that until I has to ask first. When we said it was worth $978 on Blue Book we were told not even close. Then we were told they couldn't offer any more but when I said I was going and couldn't do the deal another $500 was added to the deal. I was very disappointed with the whole process but I really wanted the car or I would have left without getting it.

Always nervous about buying a car...I feel like someone is gonna push you into a super expensive car you can't manage. Not the case at Merchants. Peter Phaneuf and the staff there really did good by me. I came in with an idea of what will work for me and my budget. In the end I have a beautiful 2014 Toyota Camry. Walking into a dealership you're (or at least I'm) always afraid that there will be the dealer that forces you into that one car...you just don't want. My impression as I came through the door was very relaxed. Each person on staff was super accommodating and friendly. My sales guy Peter Phaneuf worked very hard to find the best possible deal for me with both financing and the right car. He didn't force my purchase he laid out all of the options possible and in the end...I have an amazing 2014 Toyota Camry. I'm super happy with the whole process. Merchants met my needs and Peter went the extra mile. The floor mats in my new car say "merchants for life" ....I won't argue with that one bit. Please see Peter and the rest of the crew at Merchants Auto...you will NOT be disappointed.

Merchants has always been such a great place to buy a car. I worked with Andre over a couple of weeks and he worked really hard to find a car in my price range with the specifications I was looking for. He came in on his day off to help me, he really went above and beyond. And the team work they display here is also exceptional! Even though car sales are always commission based, you'd never know it based on the level of commitment and teamwork they all provide. I will always come to merchants for my cars, my entire family has and we have never had any problems! My recommendations are to see Andre!

My husband and I went in to Merchants to buy a used car and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Ryan was totally honest with us right from the start and I totally appreciated that because I was honestly scared that they couldn't work with us. Ryan immediately put our minds at ease and explained everything to us. He showed us one car and I immediately fell in love. Ryan even helped us get a car that I didn't think I could afford with my credit history right now. We are thrilled with our purchase. We dealt with Gordon from finance and he gave us so many great tips to help us improve our credit scores and helped us get the right coverage for our new car.
