It's the best dealer shop I've ever visited. The process of checking in, paperwork, and waiting was very easy and comfortable. They didn't force me to do unnecessary repairs and they didn't put me and completed the service much earlier than expected. Agent Mr. Paul, in particular, was so kind and was different from other staff who guided the store in person and just followed the manual. If you live in the San Diego area, I recommend you take some time to visit the Escondido branch. Pleasant, quick service and friendly staff will satisfy your time.

The sales people (Ricardo) & (Will) were the BEST... They were not trying to just sell me a car, they cared about the buying experience. I would recommend them 100%. Also the finance manager (Greg) was the best I have ever seen. There job is to sell you all the warranties. Thats how they make there money. Greg explained all the warranties to me and did NOT push anything on me. He let me select what I wanted and didn't want. This dealership was my best experience I have ever had buying a car and in my 74 years I have purchased a lot of vehicles. Go see Ricardo or Will for your next vehicle. Harvey Williams

So far, so good. First service with Mazda, and they checked for dings/things needing attention, on the car. I just needed an oil change. They asked if I wanted it washed, they seemed very detail oriented. Also, I waited less than the time they quoted, so that was very nice! They seem like a very helpful team. I was even given all information up front, no adding on things. Even was given a heads up about what they’d do for my next service, so I can plan accordingly.

Very professional and knowledgeable. Car was ready when promised, maintenance was done properly, waiting area was spacious, comfortable, and air conditioned. This is my go-to dealership even though it’s not the closest one.

I took my car into Mazda 10 mins to 5pm on a Friday due to all the lights on my dashboard coming on and my car slowing down. I was in a panic with my mind still scrambled from everything that happened. When Tammy came to save my day! She was so amazing, nice and helpful. About 30 mins after dropping off my car she already figured out the problem. She did everything to make sure my car was safe before me and my daughter got back into the car. Come to find out when I got a new battery the shop (not Mazda) that put my battery in did not tighten it all the way down and my car was thinking it had no power! Tammy was so amazing she got the problem fixed made sure everything on my car was working properly before she gave it back to me! I seriously am so pleased and thankful for Tammys service. It's good to know there are still happy, helping and joyful people in this world!

I was car shopping and went to Honda first to see the 2016 Civic Touring to compare with Mazda 3 SGT 5Dr. The test drive with Honda was fine but the person who helped was not very knowledgable of the car's features and how to demonstrate it. So we went to Mazda; what a great test drive experience we had! Roland Zahlten, himself a Mazda 3 hatchback owner did an excellent job in showing us the zoom zoom experience and the technology loaded in the car we are looking for; Mazda radar cruise control, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, advance keyless features, lighting package, etc. we drove I think more than 20 miles, uphill, downhill, curves, cul de sac, freeway, bad roads, good roads, etc. I purchased the following day after I contacted Costco Auto Program to get the best price and other benefits.Chris Boone assisted us in closing up the deal, but it was really Ronald's enthusiasm and knowledge about the car and of course the car itself that won me. For the record, I also test drove a VW GTI but the premium you're paying for GTI is not worth it. You can get all those benefits and then some for $5K less Mazda 3 SGT with technology package.

I just bought a CX-5 at Bob Baker in Carlsbad today, even though I test drove one initially at Escondido. There was very little follow-up from Dick or Allan and trying to get quotes from them ended up becoming circular. In the end, their "best price' was over $2k more than Tony in Corona, Fred in Carlsbad and Tyler at Hines in Mission Valley (who I contacted via email). All of those sales managers were extremely responsive and I really felt they really wanted to win me over. To Allen and Dick, I never felt they really wanted to pull me in or go to bat to offer more alternatives (which is sad since I actually went to that dealership!). I will never recommend dealing with Escondido -Especially after seeing the big price discrepancies via email from the other 3 dealers and the responsiveness from those other sales managers.

My dealing with this particular dealer in Escondido, Auto Parkway was NOT good.Be prepared to wait a long time, things happen slow and they aren't very knowledgable. When they say "it's not possible" or " That year or car has been sold out" CHECK FOR YOURSELF. I went to a different dealer and got everything I wanted. Lessons learned the hard way and remember - Your time is just as important as theirs!

Then the same day we got our plates we got a fine letter from the dmv and Shawn the finance manager tried telling me it's the dmv fault that it took so long but a week prior to getting our plates a gentleman from mazda was calling and texting me asking for the vin and mileage from the car we bought...wait if they already submitted everything and we're waiting on the dmv why would they need this info??????

If I had known that buying a car could be such a pleasant experience, I would have changed cars years ago. They made buying a car a wonderful! They found exactly the car that I wanted and within 24 hours had the car transported to the dealership, had all the options installed and the car was ready to go. The price was below any other quotes and everything was very straightforward. I have already recommended them to several people.

My wife and I went to Mazda of Escondido with her mother to purchase a GMC Acadia. The test drive went well. The car seemed to be in great shape. Cleaned of course to make it presentable. Within a week, the transmission had issues and left my wife and 2 year old daughter on the side of the road. They made us use our AAA to get it down there, but said they would take care of it. They continually said that the car would not repeat the issue. The service manager even tried to make the claim that the aftermarket backup camera and sensors is what caused it. Did I mention that i used their aftermarket installer and his parts? We drove the car a week and it did it again. We got the car to them. I was assured they would go through the transmission to make sure everything was fixed. I was specifically told that they will take care of it and that our extended warranty wouldnt be used. They tell us they are going to send it to GMC. I asked if I could take it to a dealer closer to home that I trusted, they refused. 10 days later, after we paid for the insurance of the rental car and gas for second time, we return to pick up our vehicle that we are assured is top notch. We receive a letter in the mail stating that the work they performed was actually done through our warranty. It was not taken by them at all. I shrug it off and thank my stars that my family has a safe vehicle to drive. After a month of driving, the car repeats the same issue a third time. I take it to the dealer I originally asked to do the work, and they tell me that the only item replaced was an exterior part of the transmission. I am now currently waiting for a new transmission to come from GM. If you are looking for a used car you can trust, or a dealership that is honest, this is not the one for you. I expected a lot more from a penske owned dealership. I am now both frustrated and angry that we were lied to, let down, and in my opinion cheated. If you find yourself near this location, feel free to do your best Usain Bolt impression while listening to the flock of seagulls and "RUN!"

Very dissapointed. I asked to speak with the finance director. I was transferred to a female and asked if she was the finance director and she said no that he was on vacation. I said well can I speak with the finance manager, she said " I told you he is on vacation". Ummm RUDE. I said "so there is NO finance manager what so ever?". She said "hold on". Some gentleman with an accent gets on the phone and I ask, "Are you the finance manager?". He says yes. I ask him some questions... basically I just got out of a chapter 7 BK that I have the discharge papers for but it hasn't hit my credit yet. He said it wouldn't be a problem as long as I had the papers. I asked if I can submit an application for credit and he basically said NO. He was very rude. I told him some information... I make 90K a year, have $3000 down payment and am looking for a used CX-9. He asked when I needed the car. I told him that I didnt need it but would like another one because my sedan is too small for my now family of 5. I am paying 18% on it and it is included in BK so technically I can walk away from it. He said they would also just give me 18% and im better off keeping my car. Really? I said that is ridiculous. My credit is 623 right now... that doesnt make sense. This guy on the phone treated me like CRAP. He lost a potentional customer. I am going to a different Mazda dealership that I was initially referred to. The funny thing is their website says "we can finance anyone, bankruptcy bad credit, etc". That is NOT the truth after speaking with them. I am sooooo dissapointed at this lousy customer service. Don't expect to be treated well here.

My over all experience was great. My dealer (Barb Shev) was very knowledgable, and I could tell she had my best interest at hand. She also had an awesome manager who was working the earlier part of the shift. I believe his name was Allan. I truly felt he gave the best that he could give.Other than that, I felt they gave me a great offer. The only thing I was uncomfortable about was dealing with the Financial Advisor (Massoud) Although he stated he had me in his best interest, the pressure to add the alarm system and the wuarantee was a bit much. I tried turning it down quite a few times, and stressed that it would add on top of my monthly payments. He stressed on how good of a deal it was, but it seemed as though he did not care about my concerns about the payments. He stretched out the value over the entire term to pay off my car, but my main thing was the monthly payment. I felt pressured, and didn't like his technique or tactic. He gave the option to think about it within a 60 days grace, but after sleeping on it, I definitely want to retract and cancel it. I know the risk I will be making, but overall, lost sleep over the choice I made out of pressure.

Great to deal with, no games, competitive price and had the cars we wanted in stock. Bought two! Went thru Costco. Tamiko was very helpful on the phone. We were a couple of hours early for our appointment so Armando worked with us. Extremely professional and great customer service attitude. Minor issue when we went to pick up the second car but Tamiko made an excellent service recovery.

I have to say I am pleasantly surprised. Now my experience wasnt the norm when buying a brand new car so I will spare all those details. The bottom line is they corrected the issue without me having to take it farther which was a very responsible and business savvy thing for them to do. They ended up canceling my first contract and taking that car back and issuing a new contract with another new car identical to the one I returned. They had to have the new car transported from Chula Vista or something and they even detailed it and filled up the tank. (without the problems hopefully) As for the car itself this is my first (well technically second) Mazda I have ever owned and it hasnt even been a month so I couldnt say. If I do decide to purchase another Mazda though, I would most certainly buy from Armando and the sales manager Josh at Mazda of Escondido again. I took off one star because I felt like I had to press a little bit to get this done instead of it being offered upfront. All in all though I am very happy with their service and would recommend them to anyone else shopping for a Mazda.

I purchased a new Mazda Protege 5 which was my first time buying a car from a dealer. The whole sales process and negation process was good but I didnt run into any problems till 3 days later. When I spoke with financing the best rate they could find for me was 7.75% and I felt I could do better so asked for 3 days to find a better rate. The agent suggested we put a 3 day hold on it so I could have time to shop around for a better rate which sounded like a good idea. I wanted the car so I trusted him, which was my mistake. He put the application through right away and started 3 months of headaches. I got a loan for 4.75% from my bank but it took me a couple of months to get everything finalized. I felt like I was taken advantage of and will never trust Cush again.
