Always feel like Maplewood Toyota service is fair and thorough. I also love that they are ready to take my car at 6:40 AM for my 7 AM appointment.

The quality of service was great with working with sales. I always got a timely response to any questions I had, except for one time when I emailed a question. I did not hear anything back, and I assume it went through sincevIbdid not get an automatic delivery response saying the email address was invalid. I also questioned the final price of the vehicle as I think I may have been told a different price earlier, and it was not exact before, which I knew, and I did add on one extra service at the end, but I was still surprised at the final price, unless it also included interest or something. Basically I was not certain what all the fees were for, but overall the service was good, and I knew I could rely on the person I worked with to answer any questions I had.

Service rep gave possible reasons I'm feeling vibration in wheels. Rebalancing seemed to help a lot, but he said if that didn't take care of it they will look at whether tires are the culprit. I really appreciate the detailed explanations the service people give.

I love Maplewood Toyota, all the people are super friendly, very helpful. I was told it would be 1 hr 15 minutes and they were done in 55 minutes. I had left my coupon at home & they gave me the discount anyway, how fabulous is that. We have been dealing with Maplewood Toyota since 2006 and have been totally satisfied every time we have gone in for service or to lease another vechicle.

I am now on my second Prius, and love the convenience and availability of bringing my car in for an oil change with a knowledgeable technician. I really love the new color check point list that is given to me at the end of service, which tells me about tire and brake pad wear among other things. I have worked with many different members of the team, and all of them are jewels and go the extra mile to ensure a short wait and satisfactory outcome, including Tom Beatty!

I went in for a routine tire rotation.. I mentioned to the Service Mgr that I was 99.9% sure that I had lost my diamond wedding band in my car a couple of months earlier but after multiple searches done by myself and others, we were unable to find it. He said that he would personally take a look as he was familiar where things can hide. I left not thinking that he would find it and that I would be making an insurance claim and shopping with my husband for a replacement. Imagine my surprise when he texted me a hour later with a picture of my ring. I was speechless! When I went to pick up my car later that afternoon, he had it waiting for me. I consider this above and beyond! I have told my story to everyone. I don't remember his name, but his initials are JB. I hope that you commend him on superior/world class customer service!!!!! I was due for my Toyota Care visit with my 2015 Tundra when I broken the passenger lens on the rear of the truck and I called and your part department reserved the lens and I had it installed when I was in for the Toyota Care visit. Set up service online for basic maintenance and added a recall to complete in comment section. The service team does not see till printo out order. Suggested call if online order needs additional info to allow adequate time in service estimate. Good idea. Better idea would be update system or process for better visibility of non 'select from this list' items for service visit.

I wanted to trade in my 2014 RAV4 for a Camry or another car. I really wanted to lower my payments and also get a black interior and exterior car to suit my clumsy nature and my black lab. I worked with Tim originally which was great because at that time I was buying my first new car! Needless to say I had tons of questions and he was patient, helpful and straight forward. This time was just as great. He will let you know what the deals are and if he, himself, would buy it not what he felt like he wanted to sell. I left on Saturday with something even better than I expected, a 2017 Camry! Tim kept all my concerns in mind and didn't try to convince me out of the options I wanted but he also gave me good information. He has amazing experience, great knowledge and major patience. Expected large bill due to amount of work I thought I needed. (Maintenance + check engine light + new tires) Staff talked thru concerns and I found out I didn't need as much work as I expected. Tires were actually cheaper at dealer than other stores! (Same brand/model) car was in/out fast. Discounts applied, car washed, etc. All in all, an excellent experience.

When my "maintenance required" light came on I made an appointment for service for my 2013Toyota Camry, with mileage of 60,600 or so. Arrived at the dealership on scheduled date, expecting tire rotation and oil change. The service technician, Art Seifert, informed me that only the tirerotation was needed now. He gave me an hour 15 minutes as expected wait time. The car was readyin just less than an hour, included an overall inspection and a car wash as well and best ofall, no charge, because the tires had been purchased there. Speed, efficiency, friendly service andall for free. How can you beat that?

We met with Rory a few months before we actually purchased our van a week ago. He called to check-in a couple times between our initial visit and when we came back again to buy our van. It was nice to never feel pressured into anything. Rory was patient and always answered all of our questions. He made the process fun, and was very easy to work with. We felt like we could trust him, and that was so great considering we don't know a ton about vehicles. Overall, a wonderful experience!!! My 2014 Highlander's ceiling was water stained, Maplewood Toyota made the repair because they wanted to make it right. I obviously didn't put a kink in the sunroof drain tube!They also provided a loaner car.The ceiling looks brand new, they even cleaned my interior.Great job Maplewood Toyota:)

When the technician was talking to me about what was done, he noticed that I had purchased windshield wipers and asked me if he could put them on for me. Working with Mabi Ekiyor, absolutely fabulous service on a very busy Saturday afternoon, in spite of the busy day Mabi made room for our inquiry. Knowledgeable sales team, on point for sharing pros and cons of various Prius models. Not sure if we would be able to close a deal however we were pleasantly surprised that Mabi could squeeze us in and still provide options to fit our needs. We walked out with more than we anticipated - a 2017 Prius, fabulous model and we were extremely pleased with the honest and amazing customer service. Being a retired Navy Veteran it was great to be able to work with Tom("Wessy") who is also a Navy Veteran . We hit it off right away; reminiscing about our various duty stations. Tom served on the USS Reeves and USS Jason. I served on USNS Hassayampa, USS Cape Cod and various shore duty stations. Once we were done with Navy talk we were able to get down to business and work out a deal on a 2016 RAV4. Tom was easy to work with and is very knowledgeable about the RAV. He didn't try to overload us with options we didn't need or want and was able to get us a fair trade-in price for our 2003 RAV4. I was impressed with the way he patiently answered my wife's many questions in terms she could understand. He was able to make buying a car an enjoyable experience for both myself and my wife. I would strongly recommend Maplewood Toyota and Tom "Wessy" Westcott to anyone who is shopping for a Toyota.

I had to call for unexpected service. I had just had an oil change a few weeks ago and found a leak under the vehicle and it was making a high pitch whine. I had to call 3 times before someone answered in the service dept. but it was Monday morning and they were extremely busy. I brought the vehicle in, and they put it up on the lift immediately to assess. The initial assessment was that there was an oil leak, the shuttle was not going to be available for 30 minutes or more, so they got someone else to drive the 2nd shuttle and I was able to get to work. Since the part was not available in the shop and did not make the truck for Tuesday delivery, I was offered a loaner car, which I didn't need, but it was nice it was offered. I have always been satisfied with the service here, and this time was no exception.

We're still taking our 1997 Camry to Maplewood Toyota for service where we bought it. I made the app't on line. Was checked in within 5 minutes of arriving. Service advisor made useful recommendations and answered my questions. By the time I had two fresh cookies and a couple cups of coffee my car was ready. I was told what they found and was assured the car was good for many more miles. Every interaction was with a courteous and friendly employee. Not a bad place to relax for an hour.

I was very happy with the "lack of pressure" applied by Tom Wescott when selling me this car. As a woman, I absolutely detest car shopping. You never know who to believe and what to believe because you feel they are all just trying to sell, sell, sell. But Tom didn't apply that pressure to me. We took it for a ride and it sold itself! He was a warm and friendly guy who didn't intimidate me in the least.

Service was completed earlier than told which was nice. The service representative offered me a better price for the 50,000 mile service, based on a "online coupon" than I had expected with the coupon I had. However, when I received my bill, the price was not what he had quoted me. The person giving me the bill nicely said she would make the adjustment and did change the cost to what I was quoted. I appreciate the cost savings but wonder why the best price cannot be automatically provided to loyal service customers. I know that you have the service record for my car on your computer and know that I do all of my service there, so why not just give me the best price, in appreciation for my business, and then tell me that, not wait for me to provide a coupon and then tell me you can do better with another coupon that I don't have access to and then forget to put it on the receipt.

Only wrinkle was that it took 25 minutes longer than promised for someone to come and tell me the service was completed. I always appreciated the personal review of the work done and printout that comes with it.

I purchased my new Camry at Maplewood Toyota in 2005, it has 125,500 miles on it. During the last 3 years you replaced both my front and rear brakes due to normal wear. I complained in April and also during this visit that the brakes feel soft and I did not feel the car stopped right.I met with your service manager Russ and shared these concerns with him and also that I believed I had a sudden acceleration scare when I drove the car into my garage last Saturday. Russ patiently listened to my concerns and said that this was probably an operator error problem where I must have had my foot on the brake but also the accelerator. Nathan was able to immediately schedule service on the car while I waited. The mechanics did a thorough review of the brakes, made some adjustments and they had 3 different mechanics test drive the car. Apparently, a soft brake pedal is a characteristic of the Camry unlike most other cars.I was VERY pleased with how Russ, Nathan and their service team handled my situation. Thanks, Paul

Nathan had given me his card and tire estimates about a year ago. I reached out via email to get updated estimates which he provided and gave me very good feedback on what tires would be best but I couldn't decide between Goodyear or Yokohama! He also helped me get set up with an appointment and when I got there he took me back to show me the tires and help me decide! The price was very good and the service was excellent! I made an appointment for a routine oil change. After which I discovered it was my granddaughter's last softball game of the season so I wanted to get keep my appointment, but get out quickly. I came in early to help "grease the skids". When the service department came to review with me the status of my vehicle and a suggested routine part replacement, I told him I would come back for that as I was in a hurry to leave. They got my car's service completed, run through the car wash and I was on the way to the game in record time. I drive out of my way to maintain my service at Maplewood. Not only were they great to deal with when I bought my car, the service deparment is stellar!

We were having crash repairs completed at Lamettres up the street, and they needed to send the Camry over to Maplewood Toyota to calibrate the warning sensor. Since the car was due for a 35k mileage check, we asked if that could be done at the same time. It was, which was a convenience for us. Only small problem: Lamettry didn't have any paperwork on the 35k service, so I had to stop by Toyota to insure the service had been done and to make sure I didn't owe you anything. Suggest you return the service paperwork when you return the vehicle to the body shop (if this situation ever comes up again).

However, I knew that I would never have to be concerned about the work done when I took it to Maplewood Toyota. And I was right. The place is immaculately clean, well-lit and the service people very nice. The waiting area is clean with space to watch television and set up your laptop. No need to be afraid ladies! Brought my car in to have the rear differential seals replaced and asked them to look at the serpentine belt and replace if needed. When they were done the seals were replaced and they told my the belt and there other checks looked good. Im my experience most shops would find something else that must by fixed even though it might really not need it, again my experience, Good, fast, honest work.

I only had a headlight replaced and spent the time inside the large service area. But when I got out of the car and the young attendant saw my walking cane, he took over the running back and forth (for credit card access, signature, etc.) so I could be on my way without having had to do any walking. I appreciated his thoughtfulness--and presume the headlight will be satisfactory, too.

This 2016 model is my 4th lease and he has helped me with every one of these leased vehicles plus a couple of pre-owned Toyota's. I love leasing because I stay on budget and can roll into a beautiful brand new vehicle every few years. I also love how trouble free a Toyota is. Since we are across the border in Wisconsin about an hour from the dealership, people in my area ask where I go to get my car fixed; I just smile and tell them I've never had to.......... Your Service Dept. is open late many week nights so preventative maintenance is not only included within my lease but convenient and easy. It's a great way to drive!

Great hours and easy to get in for a scheduled appointment. They are always asking questions about my truck and answer any and all my questions. After watching an episode of Adam Ruins Everything, we were experts on the ridiculous nature of car sales. With so many gimmicks and games and no one ever being straight forward, car shopping is historically awful. However, if you can get past the countless sales tactics that all dealerships make you endure, this place is awesome. We received great service and they held their word with many different scenarios later in the game. For example, two weeks after we purchased our 2010 Toyota Sienna, there was a whistling sound in the backseat area while highway driving. We were followed up with about the issue by our salesman (Wessy) and it was fixed (while they gave us a rental car) free of charge. In their words, "We told you when you bought the vehicle it would be perfect. If it isn't that way, we'll cover it no matter what at no expense to you." We would highly recommend Maplewood Toyota to clients that have no problem negotiating and standing their ground with their specified budget. If you can't handle all the "sales-y" pitches and games, don't go to this dealership. If you can, we played a fun game of counting all the different types of tactics they used on us. All in all, the people were friendly (especially our salesman, Wessy) and provided a great service. It's just the nature of the industry.

My wife and I loved our 2007 Camry since it was new and when it was time to pass it on to our son and his family, we both were totally convinced that the only car in consideration was another Camry. We checked with several dealers on line, and visited a couple searching for that "perfect" deal. Maplewood Toyota treated us fairly, had the exact car we wanted, and were willing to negotiate a bit on options. To me, this is important in that nothing turns me off more than some arrogant sales person hiding behind a "no haggle" policy. Maybe that works for some people but for me, I do my research, know what a car is worth, and know when someone is trying to take me for a sucker. Without a doubt, this was the most pleasant, lowest pressure, and enjoyable car-buying experience I've ever had in my 50+ years of dealing with new-car dealers.

I always have my oil change done at the dealership. As with every oil change, my Rav4 was inspected and a small leak was found. I was told that I had 7 days left on my extended warranty and that the job could be taken care of that day. I was even given a rental car - (I was worried about making it to my daughters softball game out of town). However, the job was done by 1:00 and I returned the rental.

He was kind, friendly and showed real concern about our situation. We came to buy a brand new car but we ended up buying a certified preowned ( one owner - 35,000 miles ). The service advisors make my experience both enjoyable and a learning experience. I have known Joe since I bought my first Prius new in 2007, and now with this recent purchase of a used 2008 Prius. Ryan and Cody have (unfortunately!) been able to help multiple times, as my new vehicle has had some hiccups. Every time I drive in, I feel I am taken care of and kept informed, and every encounter is professional but not without some humor thrown in. Now- no one REALLY wants to bring a car in for service, but if service is needed to keep this valuable investment safely running, than I couldn't ask for much more! Also, Thanks to the "unsung" heroes- the mechanics who do the repair and oil changes. I don't know who you are personally, but thanks for keeping me on the road! I also have to say, I love having the convenient hours for service such as oil changes, and the new improved service bay area looks great and can accommodate customers comfortably. I traded a 2006 Highlander Hybrid Limited with just 58,000 miles on it and was in absolute mint condition from front to back, exterior and interior. Even under the hood was spotlessly clean with Armorall on plastic components. Due to my research on several websites, I knew the allowance agreed upon after making several offers was a minimum of $2000.00 less than the value for a clean trade-in with exceptionally low mileage. In hindsight, I should have walked away from the first visit, but I was very familiar with Maplewood Toyota's Service Department. The 2006 Highlander had all its service done there since 2008 when I moved from New Brighton to Maplewood, and the service was always top notch.In lieu of that fact, I "caved in" and bought the 2016 Highlander Hybrid Limited on Maplewood Toyota's terms.I got a "Average" deal, but not a "Great" deal.(The 2006 was on Maplewood Toyota's website for just 1 day after it was on their premises.)

The maintenance service has always been excellent at Maplewood Toyota. This week I brought my car in for an oil change and left with a new car. I was contemplating upgrading my 2011 Prius so I took a look at what they had to offer. Brett was good at helping me to determine my priorities for features and had me test drive a couple of the new Prius models. One would expect that the salesperson would try to convince you to purchase the higher priced choice. Instead, he highlighted the differences in features and the cost and asked if those upgrades were important and worth it to me. I feel like I made the right choice for myself.

The mechanical work (front brakes) was explained well to me by Rob and I scheduled it as soon as I could. Tyler provided exceptional customer service as I checked in and set me up with a rental car for the day. All the techs in the service bay area were very helpful and friendly. they got me in at my scheduled appointment time and completed the service at the time promised. my back window wiper blade was damaged when they washed my vehicle and with no questions asked they fixed it immediately. This should not matter but unfortunately it does in the car world.... I'm a woman so knowing a company is going to be honest with me about what service does or doesn't need to be done is very important. The service techs were honest and straightforward, making it a pleasant experience at the dealership.

I took my highlander in for a oil change and to rotate the tires. I was in the waiting room for about 45 mins and they called me to the service garage. They told me that while they were rotating the tires, they broke one of the lug nuts. They said that I would have to buy a new one. What?!? I was a loyal customer until that time. I've been going there to get oil changes for over 10 years and bought over 5 cars there. I'm never going there again.

We wanted a new Prius so my husband went there on Wednesday and talked to Rick . He came home and told me about the options and price and then called Rick to tell him what we wanted. Rick called back and asked if we could come to pick it up the next day! I bought my first Toyota in 2003 after a series of disappointing other vehicles. I decided I wanted the best value, best rated, longest-lasting car I could find. That was thirteen years ago and my Corolla has been a joy ever since. But more importantly, the Maplewood Toyota service department has kept my car in top shape, often by stopping me from "fixing" something that isn't broken. With my previous cars, every trip to the shop was another huge repair, so I thought that was normal. My response to everything is "replace it immediately!" But my Toyota service personnel always talk me through the issue, and explain what is and isn't necessary, and why some service can and should wait. I don't always understand the technical details, but I appreciate that they take the time to explain them to me anyway. When that now-resolved airbag recall situation was dragging on (NOT because of Toyota), I briefly considered getting a new make of car (meaning getting the new car serviced at the new dealership), but I can honestly say, I couldn't bear the thought of going anywhere else for service. Maplewood Toyota, especially their service department, has earned my trust and loyalty, and I recommend them to everyone.

My wife's 2009 Corolla was vandalized and parts were stolen from the dash. Parts dept person found the exact parts needed and the shop fit us into a busy schedule to do the install. Was looking for an AWD Toyota Sienna. Found one online so called ahead to hold it. It was a colder day and the salesman seemed to rush us. Was not very personable and he laughed at several of my questions. Inquired about trade in value for our vehicle and he claimed it was dirty and in OK condition. Our vehicle had been washed from front to back and was in really, very good condition. After finalizing a purchase agreement (the financial guy was great! He is about the only positive thing in my experience), we waited for over 45 minutes to get the vehicle "cleaned". The vehicle had a strong fragrance/smell to it but I figured it was just the cleaner that was used. After driving the vehicle for a few days the smell began to wear off and that was when it hit. The previous owners had been smokers and smoked in the vehicle!! We have had it detailed twice along with trying home remedies and the smell is still there. How can you feel ok with that? How can you cover that smell up and sell a van to a young family. We have kids and the smell is so bad/annoying that I am ready to go to another dealer and trade it in. What is holding me back is how much money I am going to lose. I am not happy with the salesman and I am not happy or OK with covering up that pungent smell just to make a sale. The last few months have been miserable in this vehicle.

Jim was very friendly to work with and very patient with giving us test drives on various vehicles until we made a decision what was best for our needs. We then were given helpful information in deciding on either to purchase or lease the vehicle. Leasing was the best option for us as we don't drive many yearly miles. Car was ready to pick up when promised and Jim spent the time explaining all the features we needed to know to operate everything. He also explained the maintenance schedule for the vehicle to us. I have driven VW for 35 years. When my Rabit was totaled by a distracted driver I needed a new car. Toyota was my first stop because of their Reputation for quality. I wanted to see if they had a hybrid that could fit in my garage, carry my golf clubs and provide room for my six foot husband. That is the priority. Tom was ver patient while I test drove six vehicles and remained stubborn about having heated seats, but not so much technology that it would distract me. He found the perfect 2015 Prius C for me and had the heated seats added. It was a great experience.

I had checked the deals to lease a 2016 Corolla on line and in person at several dealerships. I had done my research and price is my main concern as i already know that the Corolla is the perfect car for me. Maplewood Toyota has friendly and helpful staff and Bones Roeser went out of his way to help me find the very best possible deal on a super nice car. In fact, Mr Roeser got me into an S model for less than I had been quoted for an LE at other dealerships. In fact, i have been leasing Corollas since 1994 and have leased from several local dealerships but after this experience, I do not see any reason to look anywhere else in the future. The terms of this lease are actually lower than any lease i have ever done for a Corolla over all this years and this for the upgrade, sporty model... Bones handled the trade and the details with skill and discussed every detail with me.. I need to know the details when buying a car and that need was very well accommodated. I have always brought my Toyotas to Maplewood Toyota for service and i believe they have the best service department in the Twin Cities.

I was very happy with the service I received yesterday when purchasing a new car at Maplewood Toyota. Dave Pates was very helpful and patient in the process of selecting my car and helping me to understand financing options. I was also pleased with the amount that I received for my trade-in vehicle. The dealership had a number of nice models to choose from, and I thought that the process went smoothly and quickly as well as being was pleasant. A.J. Altaher, Maplewood's Finance Manager, was also a pleasure to work with and helped our financing go smoothly.

The cars been worry free, easy to drive and come with wonderful service. Incidentally, I asked David what advice he would give to his mom, if she were deciding between two cars was considering. He thought and thought and gave me an answer. Needless to say, I trust David Pates and will send customers to him any chance I get. Also, I really trust the Maplewood Toyota Service Department. I would not take my car anywhere else or ever buy a car from any other dealership than Maplewood Toyota.

With a bit of luck, I called into Maplewood Toyota this morning and struck up a conversation with Peter Ihle. As a first-time car buyer, I had many questions all of which he answered, and then some. After two follow-up calls from Peter to confirm the details, we stopped-by and swiftly signed... driving off in our new RAV4. Before our departure, Peter walked us through every detail hooking our phones up to the blue-tooth, testing a call, and left no lever or gadget unexplained. Tom Westcott showed us the vehicles we wanted to test drive and when they didn't have the color we wanted he got on the phone and made some calls until he was able to locate one for us. This is the best experience I've ever had buying a car. My salesperson was Joshua Kath. Dave helped with the financing. I was looking for an older car with low miles. I set up an appointment to drive a car I'd seen online. They had the car ready to drive when I arrived 45 minutes later. Joshua Kath was very friendly and helpful in answering all of my questions. He helped along the process of getting a partial loan on the car even though typically a car this age wouldn't have been eligible for one. I really appreciated that! Purchased a new Prius in May and two weeks later the radio started to act up. ( It's a known issue for Toyota.) Three trips back and forth to the dealer and I finally had my radio fixed...or so I thought. After installing the new radio the tech never re-installed the navigation card so no GPS/Traffic/Weather. I was fed up so I called the service department. They wanted me to make yet another appointment for the car. I said NO, you can order the card and have it shipped to me. I had already wasted +10hrs of my time dealing with something that should have worked in the first place. The service writer agreed and said I would have it by next Tuesday. The following Wednesday guess what? No card. I called and was told I couldn't install the card myself and that I would need to make an appointment. I was upset but agreed to it. Received another call saying they ordered the wrong part but that I really wouldn't need to make an appointment and that I would have the card the following Tuesday....again Wednesday came and no card. I escalated the issue to Mark Swenson and Toyota Corporate. Finally received a gruff voicemail from the Service Manager saying they need to track down my old radio to retrieve the navigation card....finally received the card nearly four weeks after contacting Maplewood Toyota about the issue. So here's my issue. I was lied to by the Service Department on how they planned to fix my issue. I think they wanted to save some money by tracking the card down that they left in my defective radio unit. They also had no interest in compensating me for my time wasted in trying to get the radio fixed.And here's the consequence. 1. I write this review on their poor service. Let's face it, when you buy a new car the sales experience is just the beginning. You're really starting a relationship with the Service Department. 2. All of my service needs will be handled by another Toyota Dealer. My trust in them to do what is right has been broken.3. I was going to pull the trigger on buying another new car this fall and I was going to replace it with another Prius with plans to buy it from Maplewood Toyota. Well let's just say that isn't going to happen.

2010 Prius service has been poor at this dealership. Making an appointment for an oil change online the default is drop off meaning you're going to leave your car. Who drops their car off for a 30 minute oil change? Maybe a few but the majority expect this to be a quick service not a 2.5 hour wait. Also had issues with rear brake service. And a recall for a 2001 Tacoma. We will no longer use this dealership for our Toyota service.

Buying cars for us long ago was stressful and took time. However, during the past fifteen years we have bought four cars from Rick Schaffhausen, who has assisted us efficiently and smoothly to get the wheels we need.... and without stress! The first time we worked with Rick , he found exactly the minivan we wanted (no more), and his price was well below our web research. Rick is respectful and very knowledgeable, and he never pushes new cars on us during our occasional meetings in the showroom when we come for regular service. As Rick points out, Toyota cars simply run! We only replaced our minivan when it was clear we would want one for another twelve years. Only the brakes had to be replaced on that first minivan that we drove for 12 years. This summer Rick quickly helped us explore the many options, and we added an Avalon to our Toyota fleet. This was my very first time getting a car on my very own. I leased a car from Richard "Bones" Roeser. He was an excellent sales person and he has a great sense of humor. He helped me step by step and walked me through the process of getting my car. He gave me as much information as i needed but he wasn't pushy about it. He allowed me to take my time. When i was ready, he walked me through the leasing process and helped me sign papers. In a short time, i was able to pick the car of my choice, work with finance, and i was set to take my brand new car home. After we finished the paperwork, he showed me the booklets that came with the car. And then he went over everything in the car with me. I greatly appreciated it. I would definitely recommend anyone who is thinking about buying a car to go to Maplewood Toyota and work with Bones. He is beyond wonderful.

Doing business with Maplewood Toyota is what great customer service is all about and why I returned to this dealership even though there is another one within 3 miles of my house. I made an appointment to see a RAV 4 and it was ready and waiting for me when I arrived. From that point on, my sales person, Larry Bain, made sure my purchase experience of a new RAV 4 met (and exceeded) my expectations from the test drive to a follow up call a couple days later. Larry is extremely knowledgeable about the vehicle and a pleasure to work with. I love my new car and will continue to recommend the dealership and my sales person!

Brought my car in for simple tire rotation service. Waited for two hours, was told the tech lost my keys in another customers car. Was put in a rental whilst they fumbled on the key situation. Got my keys back when the mystery man returned them after he found them in his car. Dealer says the guy is okay, but don't know who he is, that's a little unsetteling. Started the car, the radio was cranked way up to death metal, real nice touch Maplehood Toyota... Drove the car home, all of 3 miles. The next time the car was driven, the engine light came on and the dash was flashing S4, whatever that means. Still waiting for resolution on the matter. Was told that the gas cap was loose, and that was causing the codes. Toyota gave me free service for the first 25k to sell their service department - big swing and a miss. The service manager wouldn't even acknowledge how badly losing someone's keys was.

The MN AG Office is conducting an inquiry regarding this incident.On Tuesday, June 23, 2015, my daughter, a recent college graduate, and I visited Maplewood Toyota, in Maplewood, MN, after salesperson Peter Ihle, told her over the phone that they would match any competing offer we could present in writing.We had solicited offers on a new Corolla using Edmunds from dealerships both in Chicago, where she will move next week, and here in MN, where she will be until she moves. We had a very competitive offer from Chicago Toyota Dealership Elgin Toyota, which was disclosed to Mr. Ihle on the phone before we went there. He said if it was in writing he would match it. There were no statements of exceptions to this promise.Upon arrival at Maplewood Toyota, we asked to confirm Mr. Ihles offer to match the Elgin Toyota price, which he did. Then, after two hours and forty minutes spent with Mr. Ihle, during which time he collected such personal information as a transcript for the Toyota College Grad Rebate Program, an offer letter for my daughters new job, and running a credit check, along with two test drives, and one check-back with other Maplewood Toyota personnel to determine the price match could only be applied to in-stock cars, because the price was so competitive he could not pay the fee to transfer another car from another dealership, the sales manager Ross A. Meyer, came to us to tell us he would not honor any of Mr. Ihle's promises to us about the price. It was immediately our opinion that we had experienced a bait and switch at Maplewood Toyota. After speaking to a representative from the MN Attorney Generals office the next day, we learned that this general fact pattern is consistent with a trend that office is tracking. Dealerships make an offering to get the customer onsite, make assurances to continue the interaction to the point of causing fatigue and a concurrent emotional investment in the desired outcome of a purchase, and then after considerable time has passed, decline to honor the initial offering on price.Ross Meyer and Peter Ihle said it was a mistake. Mr. Ihle said he has 20 years of experience. Despite this length of service as a car salesman, he stated by way of explanation that did not know he was not authorized to promise he could match an in-writing offer, as he first stated over the phone that afternoon and confirmed in the first five minutes of our in-person interaction with him later that same day.Ross Meyer, by additional way of explanation speculated (his term) that Elgin Toyota would not honor their in-writing offer provided through Edmunds and that this speculation was sufficient rationale for Maplewood Toyotas refusal to honor their promise on price made to us (multiple times).In a telephone conversation on Thursday, June 25, 2015, General Sales Manger Tom Beedy, a member of the Toyota Board of Governors, further explained that there are unscrupulous (his term) Toyota dealerships across the country that engage in bad faith promises on price, specifically in IL and CA. And this was the Maplewood Toyota rationale for the experience we had with Peter Ihle and Ross Meyer, where an in-person promise on price to us was withdrawn, two hours and forty minutes into the purchase process.I feel badly, as initially in her purchase process, my daughter was not especially interested in Toyotas. I convinced her to check them out as I thought it would be a good option, to her preferred brand, Honda, and that Toyota would provide a good first-time car buyer experience. That was my mistake. Previous to this, Comcast had held the distinction of providing the worst customer service, in my opinion formed in my experience as a consumer. Maplewood Toyota, in my opinion, has now displaced Comcast for that dubious honor.Two days after our very unpleasant experience at Maplewood Toyota, my daughter bought a Honda Civic. She is very pleased both with her new car and her Honda purchase experience.Respectfully submitted with the hope that your car purchase experience is more efficient and more pleasant than ours was.

It is easy to understand why Maplewood Toyota is the state's number one Toyota dealership. Both Tom Decker and Tom Beedy made this purchase so easy. Tom D. took around two hours of his time to show me every feature of my new Tundra - and made sure I understood as much as my brain could handle before I left the dealership. Communication and product were both very top notch, and I really do love my new Tundra. I would not hesitate to purchase my next vehicle at Maplewood Toyota and would request to work with Tom Decker.
