I took my Chevy for recent service to Koons Chevrolet. I was very pleased with the Customer service from the staff in particular David. The service was for thetransmission, or I thought. The service technician found that the transmission was ok but the air cleaner outlet was bad. All taken care under warranty.

He contacted me with the status of the problem and let me know right away when the problem was resolved. When my wife and I decided to start looking for a new car, I thought to myself, "Not what I want to do, haggling with some car dealer who is out to rip us off and make as much money as he can". This was NOT the case at Koons of Tyson! We called ahead and our sales associate was waiting for us when we got there with the car I picked out already pulled up front. Dave (our salesman) was professional, genuine, honest and kept myself, wife and 3 year old entertained. They presented cars ready to drive home not like the other dealing near them. Their cars were clean, the salesmen were knowledgeable and they did not pressure us or try to spin things. Also the lot had every possible combination of options so we could get what we wanted... not what they had. They will be my first stop for my next car. I assisted my sister-in-law in purchasing a 2007 Honda Odyssey last Saturday. Our sales person was Juan Tejara. I believe we got a pretty good deal on the vehicle; but the customer service was lousy. As soon as we finished with finalizing the deal with Wayne (finance manager), Juan gave my sister in law one key for the vehicle and said goodbye. He didn't even walk her out to the vehicle . I questioned why she only got one key and Juan said that was typical for used cars and we needed to realize that since we got a good deal on the vehicle , we needed to put up with having only one key. Juan stated he couldn't do anything about it. It was also brought to his attention that the navigation in vehicle needed to be updated and again he stated he couldn't do anything about it and we would need to go to a Honda dealership and see about updating it ourselves. We came in yesterday to finish paperwork with Wayne( who was very professional and allowed us to purchase a extended warranty, after I did a little research and price comparison). I spoke again to Juan about the second key and update of the navigation map. Juan again said that was why we got a good deal and said that he couldn't do anything about it. I asked if I could speak to someone else and he took me to the sales manager, Bill Smith. I spoke to Bill ,who was extremely professional and Bill stated he would look into both issues and have Juan do some checking on the 2nd key. We waited for about 20 minutes and I went over to Juan, who was sitting at his desk, with no customers. I asked Juan if he was working on the key issue and he stated" No, that's why I took you to Bill" , " Don't get me involved in that, Bill can do what he wants to do, I have already made my money either way" . Wow!!! I couldn't believe what I just heard from a salesman. He said he got his money from the sale, so helping the customer out was over. That kind of salesman ship won't bring return customers back to the dealership. Bill is currently working on the two issues and hopefully both can be resolved.

This was my very first time leasing a vehicle. I chose Koons because it is one of the better known Chevy dealers in my area. When I first went to the lot, I was not hassled by salesmen but rather left to myself to look over the vehicles - when I was ready to chat, I initiated in the office. I was never pressured to make a decision on the spot, everything was always on my timeline (can't say enough about that!). My product specialist, Mahamane Hamidou, was very professional and found my requested information within minutes. He was extremely helpful and never pressured me to do anything (again, I like doing things in my own time). He followed up the next day via text and email to see what assistance was needed, and was able to send me requested information in a very expedient manner via email. I truly appreciated not having to make phone calls or be hassled via phone, as I don't have the time! We were able to lock in a vehicle with my specifications/needs within 36 hours, and I was able to start the process via email instead of running to Tyson's from downtown DC. From the time I started looking at a vehicle to the time I drove off with my new car was 6 days! Pretty impressive turnaround, especially given what I was looking for. I couldn't believe how easy the entire Chevy team made my experience. John Gribbins, the General Sales Manager, was very courteous and followed up with me several times to ensure I was getting what I needed. I was never left hanging or confused - I felt very valued! Thanks to the entire team at Tysons Chevy. I love my Equinox!!

The salesman walked me through the internet purchase and was very prompt with information and sales figures via email. He also delivered the unit to the front door of my home with a full tank of fuel. The paperwork was very organized and x's applied where the owner should sign so no confusion. He also did a quick walk through of the features & controls of the new unit.It was mu first time ever buying directly over the internet in order to eliminate the travel & haggling involved from dealer to dealer. You are also able to view the inventory which is very helpful for the buying process.Very satisfied so far with the unit however need to learn the mylink system.

I purchased a 2016 Buick LaCrosse from Koons GMC at I worked with Arsalan and his managers. Arsalan was the difference. Very little pressure. He took the time to show me the differences between the Century and LaCrosse models. Once we settled in on the LaCrosse he found the car I wanted and explained the difference between the base, leather and premium versions. He took the time to help me understand the new safety features like blind side detectors and lane drift sensors, If you want a beautiful interior, leg and head room, and a smoothe responsive ride, this is the car for you, I compared it with a Toyota Avalon and A Cadillac CTS, The time spent explaining the car was what made Koons and Arsalan stand out from the other dealers.

Dealership- I would not recommend. The Sales process was about the most incompetent thing I've ever experienced. I'm STILL working out issues from a car I bought in July (4+ months, ridiculous!!!). The Service department- fabulous!I came in to get my oil changed and tires rotated. Very routine service, but I was still impressed. Prompt and friendly greeting, quick service (about an hour for the full maintenance), and they even surprised my with a quick wash! Nothing nicer than walking out to shiny clean truck when you're not expecting it.

Brought my car in to take care of an issue that ended up being covered by warranty. While in there they also did some pending recall work. That part of the work was apparently completed correctly but I say "apparently". First thing I noticed when getting in to my vehicle was the check engine light was on. Really?! Why would you return a car to me without addressing the check engine light? Makes me wonder how through and detailed orientated the workers and their QA department is.

My Service Advisor Jim Jones went out of his way along with the Parts Department to find a part and fix an issue with the front grill of my 2012 Colorado. It was not a big issue, but it bothered me and instead of letting it go, they went the extra mile to order the piece and install it, and it was something that was hard to get. Starting with the Buying Process the Salesperson Tyler was excellent and the whole transaction was smooth. The vehicle a 2012 Chevy Colorado 4WD has been rock solid. I only had a couple of issues that I felt were warranty items and Lyn contacted me and I made an appointment with service and Dave and Jim really went the extra mile to make things right. Latest actual repair under warranty was fine. However, service adviser recommended various fluid changes, claiming they should be done every 40,000 miles. Owners manual recommends every 50,000 for heavy use and 100,000 for normal wear (which is my vehicle's cycle). A recent past experience was not being able to slide front passenger seat back and forth. After $125 diagnosis, dealer said it would cost around $1000 to remove passenger seat and replace seat adjustment mechanism. I decided not to do it, and later found a pen in the seat track, which had caused the problem! Upon telling dealer, they did return my $125 diagnosis fee!Another time, after they did recall work on driver seat adjuster, plastic cover over left side of seat cushion wasn't snapped into place - tab was broken off. I used a screw to attach it rather than go back to the dealer.

It pays to do your research whenever you have car troubles. Faulty fuel level assembly caused fuel gauge to read empty even with a full tank of gas. Internet research on the issue revealed it was a known defect by GMC. Used online chat with GMC rep and determined the work could be done under warranty after confirming the defect. Did another online chat with KOONS customer service rep and then dropped car off the next morning. Did not actually have an appointment, but the car was done the next day. No charge for the repair. One happy customer.

Hello Koons Chevrolet Buick GMC Family, I just wanted to send a note regarding my recent buying experience at your dealership that began on Thursday May 7th with my first visit and ended on Monday May 11th. I arrived on the lot in my 2007 Dodge Durango that was also purchased from the Koons family ( My Fourth Koons Vehicle ) and was greeted by salesman Arsalan Kuchikali. Arsalan greeted me and made me feel comfortable right away with his professional attitude, he was well dressed, polite and helped make this a great buying experience. I was looking to trade in my vehicle for a used but newer vehicle and Arsalan found me a 2010 GMC Acadia that fit my needs and let me take it for a spin before talking numbers. We ended up realizing after running the numbers with Robert Magan who was also great that purchasing a used vehicle would not get me the value for my trade in from the banks. I ended up returning to the dealership on Monday May 11th to look at a new vehicle and once again Arsalan after spending as much time as needed found me the perfect car. He worked with Todd Ashline and scoured the lot for a vehicle that would me my needs and my budget, When Arsalan pulled up in a blue 2015 Chevy Traverse that was the one. We took the car for a spin and he went over every detail and thoroughly explained all the features along with a tour of the dealership and all departments that I would need to see. We sat down to crunch the numbers with Kelli Dyer in finance ( who was also great ) who made me feel very comfortable as we made the numbers work for my budget. I was surprised how smooth everything went even thought it is always a long process but Arsalan and Kelli found every available discount and explained each offer courteously. I ended up signing the papers for my new car late at night, well past the end of Arsalans normal day but he stayed with me until every question was answered and I was all done. John Gribbins helped wrap everything up and get me on my way home with what I consider one of the nicest cars I have ever owned and I had an outstanding experience. I have purchased 13 vehicles in my life and this was by far the most comfortable, professional and friendly experience and I will be recommending your dealership. I have been self employed in my own business for over 25 years now and have very high standards and Arsalan and your entire team exceeded all my expectations with a smile. I took my Camaro ZL1 in for a routine oil change and some minor body repair. I anticipated the cost of the body repairs to be approximately $400.The shop manager called me and asked if it would be OK to try and buff out the mars rater than repairs the bumper. He told me it would only cost $84.00 if it worked.I received a call stating the car was ready and headed off to pick it up. I was shocked to find the bumper in pristine condition with an invoice for $84.00 Kudos to Koons!

This is the fifth car I purchased from Koons, so that says something in itself. Salesman was knowledgeble, helpful and not pushie.The LaCrosse seems to have everything we were looking for especially the heads up display which we had on our LeSabre. Still need more time to understand and operate all the features. Only disappointment is that we didn't get the amount we believed the trade-in was worth since the LeSabre was in excellent condition so the convenance of the trade-in cost us about $2,000

I started working online with My rep, Jim a week before my visit to Koon's. Not only was Jim great over email communication, hew assist as great in person. His manager was pretty friendly and easy to work with as well! I showed up with my two young kids. I'll start off by saying, the staff was welcoming,and the facility has a nic, clean play area for the little ones. The entire buying process was super smooth. Our finance manager, Kelli deserves kudos also for her fast and friendly service. I've purchased many vehicles, but hands down, when I took delivery of the vehicle, Jim did the best overview I've ever received. The staff here was clearly, very knowledgeable about cars (including competitors) and were very fair with my trade.

my only regret is that the first time fluid was lost on a recall product the pump wasn't replaced, I know how damaging fluid loss is. It was like I was a weirdo to have asked when the wording of the recall notice specifically said where the fluid loss would occur. This last experience I felt treated like a rational human with serious concern.

We had an issue with our GMC Terrain that was covered under the power train warranty. Our service guy, Steve, was extremely helpful and accommodating. When we had to take the car back after the problem was fixed, because the check engine light came back on, Steve again was extremely helpful and even offered us a loaner car if ours had to stay overnight. Turned out it was a quick and easy fix second time around and we were out the door within 20 minutes with our car. This type of customer service will keep me coming back!

Though the best offer I received from the salesman was not near what I expected - especially for my trade in - with some haggling and supervisor intervention, we came to a better, but not final deal. Background story - I have been a longtime Honda customer (15 plus years) and recently a first time leasing customer of theirs. My Honda lease was about to expire and I went to my local Honda dealer expecting to be treated like a rock star. I kept the leased vehicle in EXCELLENT shape with the miles were 13,000 below the lease cap. My Honda dealer didn't appreciate me as I expected and made me a HORRIBLE new lease offer on a new vehicle. Needless to say, I was hurt and disappointed. More background story - I am celebrating my 50th birthday this year and my wife decided (as a birthday gift) to allow me to purchase my dream car. So the story begins. I always wanted a new Camaro and based on my extensive research, I couldn't really afford one. I was beginning to settle on a used Camaro when I met Jay Jarvis and the Koons organization.Jay and Koons showed me that I can afford a new 2015 Camaro. The Koons team from start to finish were excellent, professional and a pleasure to work with. To drive this point home, you have to understand that I drove 135 miles south to complete this deal. I purchased my 2011 Buick Regal (new) at Tysons Koons in the fall of 2011 and have driven it for 62,000 miles. Amazingly, it still has the original brakes and tires. With the exception of a couple of oil changes, I have had all service completed at Tysons Koons Typically, work is completed promptly with no issues. It is inevitable that in four years there will be isolated issues. What has impressed me the most is that (when issues have occurred), the service personnel are always very honest with me and issues have been resolved as quickly as possible.

This service I appreciated getting to know what was supposed to all be done on my vehicle based on the mileage and what was not done the previous time in order to be certain the maintenance is all completed on what's required and recommended for my Acadia. I certainly want the vehicle to last so that was important. I had wished I had remembered the mailed coupons to my house and maybe in the future you could figure out a way to have those electronically on my phone so that it could be a "show" on my phone OR bring it in. I received very bad service both times I went to my neighborhood dealership so I decided to drive some 30+ miles to the Koons dealership. Not just because I had a coupon, but because I wanted to see how the service was. The associates were courteous from the start. I came in to use my coupon and he advised me that the engine oil light was on. I decided to get the oil change. Instead of charging me for the oil change, he advised me that I had a warranty which made the oil change free. I really appreciated that. At my neighborhood dealership, I'm sure I would have been charged for the service. I definitely will return to Koons for my next service.

A little disappointed that my wife and I drove 75 miles to look at a vehicle and that was about all we were allowed to do. We called ahead, arranged a test drive, showed up and drive the vehicle, and then we were told to go home and sit on it. For all customers looking to purchase a used car - I called about an advertised vehicle at 9AM this morning. I found out about the vehicle and because I live 3 states away wanted to assure myself that the vehicle I was going to buy today would still be available upon my arrival. I gave a healthy deposit on my credit card to hold the vehicle until my arrival. I told the salesman I would be leaving at 2PM to see the vehicle and drive it, and would be arriving by 5PM. I was told no problem the car would be waiting for me. SURPRISE - I got a call at 2PM and the salesman told me another customer had just purchased the vehicle!!!!!! I did have follow-on discussions with Dave Sawyer after my appointment about the value of my Suburban and potential trade-in value. I've seen your advertising about 125% if Bluebook and Dave told me that their is also wear and tear deductions. He didn't tell me what they were, but I was not impressed by the results. I would like to get a second opinion, but I thought Koons and their 125% bluebook would be the best option, Not sure that is true any more. One car deal does not break the bank and you sure didn't WOW me! The WOW thing and the 125% of Bluebook is not there for me. BTW, I have purchase two Suburbans, one Cobalt, and one El Camino previously, so I know what to expect. Not sure that I'm ready to come back.

After viewing a vehicle on Cars.com that I was interested...I emailed the dealership. I was contacted the next day by one of their salesman. I was told to complete a credit application and they would get back to me. After they received my credit application....I was asked what kind of monthly payment was I looking to have. I told them and was told I would receive a call back. I told the gentlemen that I really wanted this vehicle and to try his best to get me in it. Lo and behold...I was told to put down $5,000. I told him I did not have that kind of money to put down on a used car and if I did...I would be purchasing a new vehicle. Finally, i was told that they could not give me the kind of monthly payment I was looking for and what they did offer as a monthly payment was way too high! 2 Days later the car was marked down and I was not given a curtesy phone call to see if I was still interested. I feel like I did not have an experienced salesman that knew how to accomodate my needs. I was even contacted by the general manager asking me if I had been taken care of. At the time...I was dealing with the salesman and hoping the deal would work out,. so therefore I told the general manager everything was going well. Once the deal fell through...I emailed the general manager explaining my situation and asked for his assistance. He never responded!! I was certainly not Wowed and will never contact this dealership again! Someone else purchased the car a few days later with the lowered price!

Michael Kalman, assistant service manager was extremely responsive. He followed up with me several times about my new car's problem, including late in the evening. The engine change was done in few days and I am pleased with the result.The only comment I would make to the service technicians: after doing such complex job on the car, please check if any oil was smeared on the inside of the vehicle. If yes, please clean it with a chemical. Similarly, the carpet on the driver side floor should have been covered to protect against oily stain. Not a big issue, I could take care of this problem, but certainly it would have improved the final result. Keep up the excellent quality standard. It is always a pleasure visiting your service and dealership. This was our third purchasing experience with Koons.

Service was great. They not only fixed the recall issue, but also fixed my steering wheel problem and they didn't charge me because my vehicle was still under warranty. I tried to have my steering problem fixed in another dealer (Forbes in Waterloo, ON) before and for some reason, they just couldn't get the job done. The Koons in Tyson's Corner is much better.

We started our buying process by requesting an online quote for a new Malibu. We received a quote on several different models from Tyler Harper almost immediately. The next day he met us at the showroom and showed us several cars and gave us detailed information about them. He was pleasant, friendly, well informed, and very helpful. After we purchased the car we liked he guided us through all the new features of the car, helped us synchronize our cell phones with the radio system, and pointed out all the numerous ways of using the electronics of the car. When I dropped off my truck, they were very quick taking care of my needs. They confirmed all of my contact information and then hoped on the shuttle. I used the shuttle to and from work, quick response time with safe driving. When I received my phone call to let me know that the work was complete. My service manager informed that he checked to see if there were any outstanding recalls on my vehicle and he got that worked completed as well. Everyone is very pleasant and helpful. I would recommend this dealership to anyone.

The dealership diagnosed the problem, which had been mis-diagnosed at another shop and was able to work with my extended warranty company to get it covered and completed. The only issue I had was when I went to pick it up, the check engine light was on which meant I had to leave it with the dealership to run a diagnostic, which determined there was another issue that had to be repaired and meant my vehicle had to stay at the dealership for another 3 days. I would have expected that the computer would have been checked after the repair to ensure all codes had been cleared. otherwise, my service representative kept me updated on progress, the issues and timing of receiving my vehicle back.

My only complaint (which is really too strong of a word) is that the process took quite a while. I visited the Koons Tysons store during a lunch break to look at Chevy Tahoes and GMC Yukons. There I met Maks Adewale who was helpful showing me a few examples. Afetr doing some online research I identified a Tahoe in stack on the Koons website and called Maks to arrange to see and drive it. The Tahoe was as described on the website and drove nicely. After a relatively short discussion about the vehicleI was interested in trading in we agreed on terms and closed teh deal. I prefer a straightforward approach and appreciated getting dealt with that way.

I had a coupon from Chevy for and oil change and a tire rotation. I attempted to use the coupon when I was paying for my service. I was informed by one of your service managers that I needed to show the coupon at the time of vehicle drop-off, I then explained I drop my vehicle off at 8pm after hours. He then said I did what you asked by checking off oil change and tire rotation & balance which was not included in the coupon from Chevy. However on your service sheet it is all one box so that when I checked rotate tires it says &balance there is no way to not have a balance done. I paid my 133 dollar service bill, even though my coupon from Chevy was for 60 dollars. I think with all the other oil change places in the area I will have to revisit the idea of using your service center for service of my Tahoe.

Experience was my first dealing with the service department. The young lady I dealt with on the phone when I called in was very sweet. She told me everything I needed to know, and even was able to get me a same day appointment on a Saturday. When I checked in Jeremiah let me know that there was also a recall on my airbags. All work was done while I waited in the waiting area. It was great to have a place to plug in my computer and hop on wifi to get my homework done. Thanks for a great experience!

Earl Jones was a great sales consultant. He worked with me all the way till I drove off the lot. But my experience in signing the paper work with finance was upsetting. I was told that it is Koons policy that customers have to sign the arbitration agreement, giving up our right to an attorney before we can purchase a vehicle from Koons. This was disturbing. I have never been told this expect when dealing with predator type lenders. In the current state of affairs for GM cars, I didn't think this was the impression that Koons wanted me to take away for my first purchase with them. A great job by Mr Jones and the showroom, but I felt unsatisfied when I left. I did receive a few incentives but this didn't make me feel satisfied.

I gave a 10 based on my recent visit but the problem existed when I took delivery of my car. I told the salesman that I smelled oil burning and he told me it was some kind of packing solution on the truck next to us. I did not like having to drive back from Fredericksburg for this after the local dealer refused to replace the gasket without charge. This problem could have been solved before, if the salesman would have listened to me.

From the very first internet response phone call Travis made to me, I had a very good feeling. He assured me he would work with me to gain my business. Your service manager did an excellent job keeping me up-to-date as my LTZ progressed through the service process. My only concern is not with the service I received but for the service I couldn't receive because the parts I wanted had to be special ordered. The part was OEM wiper blades for my 2014 LTZ. I find it rediculous that something as mundane as wiper blades are not an on-the-shelf item. GM needs to step it up because this reflects on their customer service and not in a good light.

You replaced two front tires on my 2010 Buick LaCrosse on3/7/14, at mileage 26554. With potholes and bumps in the roads I fiound that surprising but not unreasonable. 98 miles later one of the new tires went flat again with weakness in the sidewall. I paid for the replacement tire but firmly believe that the tire must have been defective and the replacement should be at Buick's expense not mine. The service was fine- the product was lousy!

I will tell you however that I am concerned that this is the 2nd time my car has been diagnosed with an issue that was a result of a crimped wire, or wiring harness in the rear of the vehicle. The first wiring problem disabled the backup cam; the second caused a fault in the pressure sensor and caused a check engine light. It's definitely something that GM needs to investigate immediately.

I am leasing a 2011 GMC Acadia and was complaining about multiple issues that my car was having. The first being that my vehicle was making noise when I made sharp turns. I had to go back twice and over a few day period finally the noise was discovered. A steering rack had to be replaced on a car with only 31,000 miles on it and a water pump. The car is still driving badly over bumps which I also asked to have looked at and it feels as if the front end of my SUV is going to collapse onto the ground, they never found the issue. This car has been problem after problem for me and a few things have been corrected. The staff has been perfect and they did everything wonderfully. My advisor was fantastic and bent over backwards for me. Unfortunately my car still does not drive well and the issue has never been found. Luckily for me my lease is up and I am returning the vehicle and never buying a GMC product again.

Every time we have visited the service center, Steve Wauldron helps us out and he is quick, professional, and very helpful in solving our issues or checking in our for service. I have had my automobile in there for 3 issues. prgramming issue, bad front wheel bearing and most recently a bad throttle assembly. All were expertly diagnosed and repaired. I do belive that I was fleeced to purchase additional services based on an examination of my car. In a weak moment I told them to go ahead. Well I brought my car back for a wheel alignment and oil change a few weeks later.... I was told that I needed the same services i had just had done just a few weeks earlier. I believe it was a transmission fluid change and injector/manifold carbon eviction clean up. Thx.Pete

Good experience overall. The Service Mgt (or writer) called me and left his personal cell line, so I was able to call back later in the evening. He made suggestions from the vehicle diagnosis which I could either replace myself (brake lights bulbs) or others which I couldn't afford at this time. I was not hassled to spend an extra $700 in services like I typically am from other dealers. The only complaint I could have would be that my truck took 4 days to change out tires, alignment, oil change and diagnostic check-up. Otherwise, great experience, and will be coming back.

Living in MD a fairly long distance from Koons, I pursued the internet route and was given a very fair price. I then scheduled a time to meet at the dealership. The sales rep greeted me at the door, told me about the process, and everything went very smooth. On a Saturday, Iwent in for an oil change. I have a service plan thru GM. The service writer was very friendly wwhile being business like. He told me about 2 hours. But, within 1 hour they had changed by oil, filter, added fluids where needed and rotated the tires. When Koons brought my truck around for pick-up, they asked if I had any other concerns about my vehicle or if Koons could do anything else for me.

GREAT overall experience. The service department was on it. I have been to other dealerships that did not provide the level of attention and detail that Koons did. I knew what was going with my SUV the entire time that I was there, without my having to ask. While in the excellent waiting area the time passed quickly and comfortably. The work was warranty work and the bill (nothing paid) was explained to me in detail and a copy was quickly provided for my records and I was on my way. I will be looking for a new Toyota in about 6 months to 1 year, Koons will be first on the list when the time comes to purchase one. That is due to the quality personnel that they have employed in both the sales and service departments. Thanks for a job well done.
