I stopped in today at Hartnell Chevrolet where I bought my pre-owned Malibu without an appointment and the man at the front desk was very accommodating and told me he could squeeze me in, in just a few minutes. The service was quick, done well and I got a free car wash so overall a great experience.

Selected Hartnell Chevy in Salem to return 2012 Buick LaCrosse (leased) - replaced with 2015 Impala (lease) on July 30, 2015. With the help of Sales Manage, Mike Misureli and John Griffin my wife received the new car on Thursday - extremely pleased with the vehicle and their good assistance. Hartnell Chevy in only a couple of miles away from where we live, it's very convenient and wonderful personal place to visit, with excellent service. Very happy we chose Hartnell and when it's time to replace my Buick we'll definitely go back.

Overall the process was great. Staff was very helpful and nice. At no time were they pressuring me into a new car. All questions were answered. Although I walked out with a great deal on a new car, I did not get any of the three request options I wanted.

Everyone here is super friendly and helpful. I didnt feel pressured to buy anything or even look at cars that i wasnt interested in. overall it was a very laid back experience that i plan on repeating when my wife decides to buy a new car.

We bought our '02 Impala and 2010 Silverado from Hartnell Chevrolet. Living on the IL-WI boarder for most of my life I had always passed by there but never given them a thought, till I was fed up with the Chevy dealers in Lake County. I walked out of a local dealership over a mere $100 difference they wouldn't agree to! I'm glad I stopped at Hartnell. Craig Schilz is right on! We came in with what we thought was a fair price for the new '02 Impala. He didn't bat an eye. He even offered us better pricing than what we were expecting. Fast forward to 2010. Looking for a truck to pull our travel trailer. We went straight to Craig. We wanted to order one with exactly what we wanted. Too late in the 2010 vehicle year to order. He found us our Silverado with everything except one item.....no biggie. 2014, as I write this review we are in the process of trading-up for another Silverado with more features than were available in 2010. Wonderful place, great sales people, and NO pressure! Get your next Chevy from Hartnell!!

I purchased a Chevy Malibu through John Griffin at Hartnell. I was extremely pleased with the way I was treated. John spent a lot of time helping me pick out a car and teaching me how each car is different. I never once felt pressured to make any decisions which happens at every other car dealership. John worked with me to get me a fair price and I really appreciated it. I since have sent my girlfriend, my mother and her husband to all purchase vehicles from John. We are all extremely happy with the service and treatment we have received. I would highly suggest to anybody looking to purchase a new car to visit this dealership!!!!!!! I also bring my vehicle to Hartnell for all my scheduled maintenance and appreciate the care they use when dealing with car! TWO THUMBS UP FOR JOHN GRIFIN AND HIS STAFF!!

I recently went to Hartnell Chevrolet in June and purchased a Chevy Cruze 2013. I had the pleasure of working with John Griffin. John was very knowledgable and helpful when making my final decision on the Cruze. He helped me with trading in my old car and getting the best price on a fully loaded new Chevy Cruze. I was able to take my own car for a spin to see if I would like the car. To my surprise I love my new car. Great on gas milage! Very sleek and fun car! I would definitely call John Griffin again at Hartnell Chevrolet for my next car :)

Mike Misurelli has sold many Buicks to my wife and I, we have followed him to whatever dealership he moved to. Today, my wife's Buick LaCrosse had the 12k mile service done at Hartnell. I came in right before the store closed on a Saturday and they had no problem staying late to help me. I had a minor issue with my pinstriping after I had left. I called my salesman, John Griffin, and he was very prompt and professional in getting the problem resolved. The facilities are top notch and so is the staff. I finally bought my first brand new car and what a great experience I had at Hartnell Chevy. I always dread to go car shopping, but John and Kevin made it easy! No pressure. No stalking phone calls. No hidden anything. I felt like I was talking to friends. The facilities were under construction when I was there, but didn't cause any problems.

After being pressured by my local Antioch Chevy dealership while pricing the Chevy Cruze, I decided to cross the border to Wisconsin to Hartnell..What a great decision that was..Very friendly and professional people..I purchased a 2012 Cruze from John..Nice to be treated fairly and not pressured..Got a good price and a fair trade. I shopped around several dealerships and got the usual run around and low value for my trade-in. While doing online research I came across Hartnell and they had a vehicle similar to my needs. This is one of those small town dealerships that made it worth the trip. After talking with John Griffin, he sat down and found the exact vehicle I was looking for and gave me fair value for my trade and a final price that met my expectations. No haggling, numbers games or hidden fees on the final documents. Two days later I signed the paperwork and drove awayin my new car. The entire experience was great and other dealers should take queues on how these guys operate. Thanks for the great experience and looking forward to future purchases!!!

I have been wanting a full sized truck since I was a kid. I just got home from Hartnell with my brand new 2011, Z71,Black beauty! Everyone knows the process of buying a new car involves 4-5 hours of painful waiting while your salesman goes back and forth to the manager to "see what he can do My experience with Hartnell was far from your average new car experience. It was AWESOME. I researched trucks for months. All brands. I did my homework. The first deal they offered me on the tuck I wanted, was the best offer that I got. The Chicagoland dealers didn't come close. If you want to get treated like your neighbor, and live near the Wisconsin border, buy your Chevy at Hartnell.
