We drove down from Syracuse to see what GFS had to offer based on our needs and budget, Michael Hackett showed us and let us test drive everything available.They verified the car front to back and replaced/repaired everything that didn't check out, even got new tires and timing belt.Great guy to deal with and will definitively be back.

I just bought my third car from GFS and I cant imagine going anywhere else ever again. Sales staff is tops and in-between their service staff has always been accommodating and helpful. Once they even sent their own truck to fetch my car 115 miles away after a breakdown on the road that the locals couldnt fix. It was a Friday; I was back behind my wheel by Tuesday morning.

Recently drove 90 minutes to check out a 2010 Audi S4 that Michael assured me was in fantastic condition over the phone. I was very skeptical but when I got there and saw the car I was very pleased to see that it was exactly as Michael described. After the test drive, I decided I wanted to purchase the car, and while I was waiting for paperwork, the employees offered me lunch! I am very impressed with the staff and would definitely buy a car there again.

This is by far the best place I have purchased a car from. They are truthful about the cars are give the best price. There is no need to negotiate as they give the bottom line on their vehicles. For me, when salesmen approach customers and begin saying their pre-rehearsed lines is the biggest turn off when considering a vehicle for purchase. Everyone I dealt with were nice, not remotely pushy, and didn't give a spiel of marketing nonsense. I will be returning there to purchase my next vehicle as well, not to mention recommending my friends considering stopping and looking at their lot. Thank you for a great buying experience, and keep up the great work. I love my BMW.

Having read tons of nightmares about buying cars from anywhere I was a bit intimidated to buy a car at all so simply drive my cheap cars to death. I got to the point where I wanted I good condition used BMW and didn't want to buy from craigslist/etc. GFS being one of the bigger used BMW dealers in upstate NY I had made the trip out there and I am glad I did. The staff was exceedingly nice and was not pressured by any means to buy anything. Was allowed to test whichever car I had wanted to. They showed me what they had, talked about what I was looking for and it was just over-all a very non-pressured enjoyable experience. Would (and have) recommended GFS to anyone.

Thanks to Michael and all the folks who I spoke to and who helped me through my buying experience! I was impressed with the dealership as a whole. They are very friendly, helpful, and professional to work with. Obviously the business needs to make money, and I paid a bit more than I maybe could have, perhaps, but I know it was worth the extra for the quality and condition of the vehicle and for the great overall experience working with them. Never got the feeling that making me happy as a customer was Not their priority, and that means a lot to me! Thanks Again to GFS!

have to do things you don't like...like reviewing car dealers. But...when you're overwhelmed with straight talk, great service, fair prices and reasonable folks...you gotta suck it up. GFS is just an outstanding place to buy a car. I know my experience is not out of the ordinary.

We searched and checked out a number of cars and dealers looking for a "extremely safe" car for my wife. Drove close to 75 miles to Geneva because of their reputation and was not disappointed. Had her drive a 2007 Volvo XC90 and a 2009 Subaru Outback. She fell in love with the Volvo - it's a tank disguised as an SUV. With our "Snowvember" event - she plowed the road without spinning or slowing down. Also need to let you know she bought the Subaru too - for me. God I love this woman! There were a couple of minor problems and the dealership fixed them immediately with no problem. Ken in service and Chris in body shop both rock. We also purchased the extended warranty - will keep you posted. Dan (owner) - we are forever fans!

Even though we live almost two hours away, I chose Geneva Foreign as the dealer to buy my daughters first car from. Not only is the Saab clean, stylish, and mechanically sound, our experience has been nothing but enjoyable. The GFS sales team is courteous, helpful, and honest and surpassed my hopes for a pleasant and stress-free purchase. Since then, the service team has seen the car twice (for issues not known of at the time of sale), once within the 30-day warranty period and today, 22 days after the warrantys expiration. GFS fixed every issue, no questions asked, and provided a loaner car while the repairs were being made. Ive also been happy to hear, from the Geneva community, that GFS is a respected, decent business and one that treats its customers with friendly respect and gratitude before, during, and after the sale. I cannot say enough about Geneva Foreign and am certain that Ill make the drive again when Im in the market for a new-to-me car. It is my pleasure to write this review for a company that appreciates its customers and allows them to visit with a friendly, lovable yellow lab. Geneva Foreign & Sports has left me with peace of mind knowing my daughter is behind the wheel of a safe and reliable vehicle. Truly a company deserving a 5 star rating, GFS is one that businesses in NYs Southern Tier could learn a thing or two from.

Bought an older German sports car; the car was in great condition for an older model, so these guys seem to be pretty picky about the cars they bring on to the lot.Car is in mint condition after their reconditioning process, so I don't expect any problems with the car.

This team of Family Members and Friends truly care about the customer. They care about making each customer's experience purchasing a car an enjoyable one. This dealership is a real pleasure to have been involved with in the era of price mystery every time I have looked a a used car, meaning you do not have to have the sales person check with the financial chief several times with each price you feel positive with as their price was more than fair and any negotiating was done one one one, the atmosphere is very comfortable and especially friendly looking to make you feel welcomed. The car I purchased was prepared professionally and flawless. I had the best buying experience there . I was given the opportunity to test as many cars as I chose, I drove 4. I had a wait for a new key that was a bit long but beyond their control and they did all the work involved and even had it mailed to me! In summary, I would buy another car there without looking elsewhere. I highly recommend this dealership.

In the late summer my daughter needed a car so we shopped around for awhile. We ended up at GFS and were very pleased with the both the sales style and the look of the cars. Katie and Jay were very easy to deal with, and seem very up on their vehicles. There was no hard sell or games like we experienced at some of the other places, and these folks went out of their way to make us happy. We have had the Volvo wagon now for several months and my daughter loves it. We have no idea about the shop service there as we have not needed any so far. We do know other folks that take their cars there and are happy with them. We would certainly consider buying another car from Geneva Foreign and Sport in the future. Nice place and nice people!!

I would like to sing the praises of Geneva Foreign and Sports for a moment. I have been going to them for literally the whole time I've lived in this area; almost 10 years now. First with a Saab 93, then with my 08 Jetta and finally now with my 07 Passat wagon that I bought from them. In all that time, I've NEVER felt as if they've had anything but my best interest in mind. They always go the extra mile for me and are fair. Today, I went in because I have been losing oil. Had this problem since I bought the car but we have not been able to locate the problem. Within the last week, it has been leaking oil noticeably and needed to be taken in immediately. Dave, the mechanic who has always looked at my car, said don't worry, it may just be an oil filter seal. Of course, I worried anyway since money is tight. Sure enough, it was the oil filter seal. There was also another filter that needed replacing that might be the cause of my car burning thru oil which they also replaced. Now, I'm expecting to be paying some money for this but Ken, who works the counter says "I helped you out with this because you're a great customer and you've always done your services when you're supposed to and we have been unable to solve this problem for you up to now". The bill was over $300 but he discounted it down to $77. Basically for the parts. I cannot express how much this means to me. The old joke about repair shops just taking advantage of the unknowing and ignorant throngs just isn't true at GFS. I HIGHLY recommend them for all of your automotive needs. Thanks for reading. i recently purchased my third Volvo from GFS. If you are looking for a used car, this is the place to go! I like everything about GFS, including the customer service, website, facility, inventory and dogs! There is no high pressure at this dealership, as the cars sell themselves. I have had very good luck with all my cars purchased from GFS and I will continue to shop there in the future. Way to go Jay and staff!

I purchased a 2004 Saab 9-5 Aero from GFS in April, I had been searching for the particular combination of options that this car offered and it was hard to find. I wasn't able to source the configuration that I wanted locally ( I live about 270 miles from GFS) I decided to work on a deal with GFS and take my chances. They were very friendly over the phone and through email, which Is how I dealt with them for about 2 weeks before I was able to make it out and buy the car. They are a very busy place which becomes obvious quickly as things like the service report I requested took days to get, its a busy place, but always felt like I was on the back burner which isn't how you want to feel when your spending top dollar on the vehicle your buying. When the time came to pick up the car, I was very excited, the car looked good and off on the test drive I went. Car looked good and ran well, though some little things needed to be fixed before I drove it back home (like the high Beam headlight not working) I would have thought this is something that would have been looked at and fixed before I came to get the car, seeing as it had been inspected for NYS and had been "gone through thoroughly". I completed the sale, drove the car home and was happy with everything, my wife was even talking about having them find her a similar car and going back, that is till I tried to get it inspected in NH, it didn't pass, and some of the issues were pretty obvious and couldn't be missed if you had seen it on a lift. It is now going to cost me a bit more than I wanted to spend to get the car in to the condition I thought it to be when purchased. They do offer a warranty, however I'm to far away to go back and have it examined by their guys, they offered to help me out with some of the parts, however they haven't come through with that on their end, which is disappointing. Overall I like the car, however knowing what I know now, I wouldn't have purchased it from them, seeing as I have to dump a bit more money in to it. The group was friendly and had some nice after purchase touches (sent a card and cookies) but that doesn't make up for the lack of attention to the vehicles before purchase or follow through on parts.

Geneva Foreign and Sports is as good as it gets. I have been to Geneva Foreign and Sports for repairs of my old Volvo, and a purchase of a pre-owned Ford which was in fantastic shape and a great price. Their service is exactly what you expect when you are laying down hard earned money. They provide excellent, and I do mean ~excellent,~ customer service. I highly recommend Geneva Foreign and Sports.

First dealt with Dan Sr at their old location about 10 years ago. Just a great experience. 4 1/2 years later I dealt with Dan Jr at the new location as they were in transition. Another 4 years and I bought a third car from them. All three were good experiences. I had a problem with the recent purchase that was not under any warranty whatsoever. Dan had the car towed, repaired at his expense, and returned to my driveway in Rochester. No charge for a significant repair that was not covered. It was an unusual circumstance but Dan just did the right thing and took care of a problem he was not obligated for. The facility is clean and they are always friendly.

I Purchased a Saab 9-3 Convertible from GF&S. I made the inital contact via the internet and received a prompt call. I live 2 hours away and didn't want to waste a trip if the car was not in great condition. Jay took the time to walk around the car and describled the condition of the entire vehicle on that call. I took a chance and went to see it myself. Jay was spot on. The dealership is great to deal with and very laid back. I am happy with my purchase and happy with the serive I received.

GF&S is a 1st class dealer and repair shop in Upstate NY. I bought my 2007 Saab 9-3 in early 2011 from another dealer and while its a brilliant ride it had a few issues that needed to be cleared up before our family drove to SC for Spring Break. I was greeted with a warm smile and a firm handshake and the boys went to work taking care of all the issues that I came in with. A loaner Volvo was provided to me as the work was going to take the majority of the day. The guys ended up working over a little bit on a Saturday so that I wouldn't have to drive the 60mi on that Monday. Whether you have a Saab, Volvo, Subaru, Toyota, Mini, or any car for that matter the guys at GF&S will do whatever is necessary to make sure that your car is driving like it came off the showroom floor. Highly recommend!!

I bought my BMW from Jay at Geneva Foreign & Sports. It was exactly what I was looking for and they were great to work with. The car was near perfect (except it only had a 1/2 tank of gas). Other then that, I couldn't find a single thing to complain about! It made me very comfortable to know that they actually service everything they sell plus many other types of cars. Jay showed me their collision shop too. A really nice place overall. Although I haven't had to go back, I will when it's time for service. If it's anything like the sales process, it will be a breeze getting the car serviced. Just an FYI, they have two dogs that are very cute. I tried smuggling the small one out of the shop in my purse but they caught me :) You may want to bring a bigger bag!

Professional. I had my 2004 Saab 9-3 serviced there from the day I bought it. Any maintenance that the car needed, they explained it in detail to me and sought out the most cost effective way of repairing it. Two years ago I slid backwards down a hill and hit a tree costing approx. $5,000 in repairs. GFS' body shop is as great as their service department. Just three months ago my Saab was totaled in an accident and GFS helped me through that as well. I told them I wanted an Infiniti G35 and they found it the next day. WIthin 4 days I was driving it. When you go to business that knows what they're doing, it takes less time and saves you money. I drive 70 miles round trip because I trust their business and that's a tough thing to find.

I had major engine problems with my 2007 Volkswagen Jetta. At 23k miles I had to have my engine replaced. The dealer couldn't determine the cause of failure but they assured me that it was something that I had done to my car. I even had oil change records from their dealership but they still refused. After being giving a quotation for $13,000 to replace my engine I almost had a coronary.Under the recommendation from a co worker I had my car towed to Geneva Foreign & Sports. They were at least sympathetic to my situation. I'm not a rich man and $13,000 doesn't just fall out of trees for me. From the first minute on the phone with them I felt very comfortable. From the first girl that answered the phone to the service writer and the mechanic that I spoke with, everyone seemed upbeat and happy. It was a bad situation but they made it a lot better. They installed a used engine for me for $3,200 installed with a warranty. I was without my car for a week but they provided me a loaner for 5 of the 7 days, which I greatly appreciated. I can't say enough good about this place. They really saved me. If you are ever in doubt of a repair or want a second opinion I would definitely contact this garage. The friendliest, happiest bunch of mechanics you will ever meet.
