Called and talked to two different guys about an accord they had they were both telling me how clean the car is and I drove an hr to come look at it the next day . The car was keyed very badly down the entire passenger side . You think they would mention that to me before I drive an hr to look at it.. Nothing like wasting your Saturday morning.

The team at Carothers fixed a somewhat ugly situation for me after I bought a used car from them in March. We found a 07 Honda CR-V with 99k miles on their lot for less than the KBB price and pretty much immediately purchased it. One test drive showed the car to be quiet and running smooth. All was well, but only for a week. The first long trip in this car (~100 miles to Toledo) ended in disaster when the car failed in the middle of the road and could not be restarted. It was towed to a local garage and the guys there diagnosed it as a probable Head Gasket Failure. Convinced of this, Carothers said that they would take care of the problem if we could bring the car back to their garage in Bellefontaine. They were true to their word and replaced the leaking head gasket for no charge (what could have been a $1500 repair). For this I am very thankful. However, I must advise that anyone looking into buying one of their used cars do their due diligence and check it thoroughly before purchase. It would also be wise to ask for a warranty. I have since been driving the car without issue for 2 months and can say I don't regret the purchase. Thanks to Carothers team.

I have absolutely nothing but great things to say about this business! My husband and I ended up on this lot after a long search for a van for our large family. I am pretty sure we had looked everywhere at this point. Everyone else wanted either to much for the van they had, or the van was in horrible condition. We weren't on the lot long before we realized this was the right place. Purchasing the van was easy and they were extreamily nice. Before we purchased the van we were told that the side door on the one side did not open or close correctly and that they would fix it for us. We decided to go ahead with the purchase and we scheduled an appointment for the van to get fixed. They provided a loaner vehicle while ours was getting worked on. A day later we got a call that the door was fixed. Perfect! After we got home we soon realized that the door was not fixed. We were discouraged, but with one call to Carothers it was quickly resolved. Very long story short, these people went to the extreme taking care of us to ensure that we were satisfied and that our vehicle was exactly what we needed and everything worked correctly. Between the time of purchase and the problem being fixed there were at least 3 loaner vehicles and each one drove and preformed nicely. With used vehicles you never know what you are getting into. It is a lottery. It was not the best situation, but they took really good care of us and they made sure it was made right. These people handle their business with dignity and they respect their customers. Absolutely outstanding! Thank you guys so much for all that you did.

Crystal and Dave were nothing short of helpful when my husband I were looking to purchase a car. We checked out other car lots because they had the car I wanted. Other lots were not helpful in helping us get approved to finance, it took Crystal one day to find me the same car I wanted and to find a place to give me the loan. I spent two weeks messing around and playing phone tag with other companies, and I met Crystal and Dave, found the car, got approved, drove the car off of the lot within days. They are great people!
