My experience started online when I was on the Curtiss Ryan Honda web site and found a Honda Fit I wanted. I contacted them and a great guy by the name of Brian Zavoluk got back to me with lease numbers and down payments. I liked what I was hearing so I went to the dealership and it was so clean and nice, I was referred to Rob C. who was my salesperson. He was so kind to my wife and I and him and Brian made sure we got the deal we wanted and we got squared away quickly. I have leased 7 cars over the past few years, and this last experience was the best ever. I walked in off the street and was greeted by Joe Riggsbee. He spent several hours with me showing me certified cars to buy, but ultimately I decided to lease a new one. Joe met my price, found the car I wanted, and made it happen within days. Curtiss Ryan Honda is the best dealership around. Anytime myself or my family needs a vehicle, our first call is to Ed Blauvelt at Curtiss Ryan. He asks what we needs and always takes care of us. We have bought 4 of our cars from there and we never have any issues. The service department is great and super quick. You don't even need an appointment for an oil change! Great dealership. I got an online quote for a 2013 Civic, and Terri called me within a day to see when I could come in. Very professional and low pressure, I really liked that. Terri was on vacation when I arrived, so I met with Ed about the test drive. After the test drive, he explained all the next steps without me even having to ask, and was sensitive to the fact that I was looking at other cars as well and it came across un-pushy. I ended up choosing a car at another dealer (with lower miles, that was my deciding factor) but had a great experience here and definitely recommend Curtiss Ryan.

I had gone to Curtiss Ryan originally for a Honda HR-V, I was not happy with the finance manager I first dealt with which turned me away from going back. I do have to say I did shop around but did end up back at Curtiss Ryan because they were convenient & also the Salesman was very good, helpful, & most of all not pushy. The finance manager I dealt with the second time around knew exactly what he was doing, was very personable, & helped me out a lot. I would recommend Curtiss Ryan to friends & family.

I have MS and a year and a half ago, I went into a wheelchair. My Honda Accord was a little too small to fit the wheelchair in easily. We looked around at a bunch of different makes and models. The CRV was the best one out there. For a number of personal reasons, we had to delay the purchase until today. Our sales representative, Ed Blauvelt, was professional and understanding. He helped us through the purchase process, making it easy for us.As I said, we had an Accord previously that we also purchased from Curtiss Ryan. We brought the car in for every suggested service and have found the service department to be helpful and courteous. They are willing to drop me off and pick me up again at Starbucks so I can write on my laptop.In short, I heartily recommend Curtiss Ryan.

When I drove in to dealership, Glenn gave me his business card and was never pushy. I ended up coming back over a week later to meet Robert DiMarco. He was very pleasant and didn't have me 'running for the hills' as I have at other dealers. He answered all my questions and I felt very confident. My lease had expired and I went back to this dealership because of the excellent service I have received there in the past. I was not disappointed. Ed Blauvelt and Kim Ryan truly go out of their way to make their customers feel valued. Not only was my experience flawless, Ed also accomodated me in a way that went above and beyond. The day I was to pick up my vehicle, I experienced an issue at work that necessitated my going to my doctor. I was scheduled to have the end of lease vehicle inspection done at the same time that I was to go to the doctor. Ed called the inspector, changed the location of the inspection from my workplace to the dealership, and offered me car to use to get to the doctor while the inspection was taking place. You can't beat that! I highly recommend Curtiss Ryan Honda to anyone who expects the best in customer service and care!

7/29/16 Called Service to make appointment for a safety recall. Nice young lady spoke to me, sorry I don't remember her name. She told me Dan would call me Sat. or Mon. to get info for a rental/loaner car they would provide on Tuesday, 8/2/16. Spoke to Dan Monday, claims he can get the backordered parts in 2 weeks, (American Honda says 5-7 weeks) but Dan said he can not give us a car to drive for the 2 weeks ours is sitting. Called American Honda. 2X they said the DEALER WILL arrange for and provide a vehicle--Dan is trying to avoid giving a rental to us even though American Honda says the dealer will arrange it.

My partner and I were in the market for a very specific vehicle, a 2016 Accord Coupe EX-L V-6 with a manual transmission in Modern Steel Metallic. There were only two within a day's drive, and one of them was at Princeton Honda in New Jersey. Their quote was ridiculously high, so we moved on to Curtiss-Ryan Honda. Glenn Banks was a pleasure to deal with. We had a few requests, such as not putting the dealership logo on the trunk, which Glenn more than accommodated. He quoted us a decent price off the bat and the number we settled on was fair for both parties. As an out of state buyer, Glenn handled the DMV paperwork and made sure it was a smooth process. Oh, and Kim was always pleasant and professional when I called, which was often lol. I can easily recommend both Glenn and Curtiss-Ryan Honda!

We started looking in December 2015 for a Honda CRV. We loved the 2015 CRV but did not want the push-to-start or keyless entry. Within a few short weeks we were notified that there were some 2013 CRVs that just came off leases and do not have the push-to-start or keyless entry. By the middle of January we went to look at the available 2013 CRVs and after looking at the first one we were sure that was what we wanted. It looked brand new inside and out and includes heated leather seats and navigation. We were not able to test drive because of all the snow but we were called the next day to test drive and that same day traded in our civic and drove away with our 2013 CRV. Terri is an excellent salesperson. Very professional, knowledgable and understanding of our needs both financial and what we wanted in a car.

After having purchased my 5th or 6th Honda I can say that my buying experience was very good. Jim Cossette, my salesman, was superb as usual. Scott F. was his usual great self. All went well. My only complaint was with the business manager. He presented strong reasoning why I should take the extended warranty plan claiming that with the computers in the cars might cause problems in the long run. He kept talking about the computers so much that I got a feeling that they are a problem. Since I didn't expect to keep the car for as long as my previous one I declined the extended warranty. I figured I could extend he warranty later. The day I picked up the car he walked by Jim and myself and strongly said I should have taken the warranty and kept on walking. I stopped him and asked why he was so concerned about me not taking the warranty. He brought up the computer in the car again. So he left me with a feeling that the computer was going to be a problem. Bedside business manner could have been better. He left me with an uncomfortable feeling about the car right when I was signing the papers.

Ed Blauvelt was our designated salesperson and did an excellent job. I had done my homework earlier and locked in a fair value email so there was really no bargaining involved. We walked in at 9:45 and finalized the purchase in an hour. We stepped out to get a bank check and once we returned we wrapped it up in no time. The process was really a piece of cake. She explained many of our car's features as we drove and twice she diplomatically reminded me what exit to get off and when to go on a green light when the left lane showed red. When she instructed us on all the major features on our Civic on Friday August 21 after we paid for the car, she was VERY PATIENT with us and took her time to make sure we understood all the important features.Marcin K., the business manager was phenomenal when it came to his part. He told us about all the options, showed us a pamphlet which had the prices and he was very laid back the whole time. I asked for up front best pricing and they were overall at the top for best price. A sure way to tell good dealerships from not so good is the way they communicate and treat their customers. They showed that respect and appreciation through the entire process. Two other dealers that did not get the sale responded with appreciation to getting the opportunity to bid on the car and the two other dealers that communicated rather poorly were unresponsive after loosing the sale. Got the last 2014 CR-Z in black in the whole state of CT, thanks to Tony at Curtiss Ryan. Not the most popular car that honda sells but cause of that not many distributed per state and in random colors too. Hoffman Honda tried to sell the same car to me but it was a dark purple and told me it was black and I wouldn't notice:( I ended the deal and saw Curtiss had it and matched Hoffman's original deal without any pressure. So I got everything I wanted 2014 CR-Z base in black, love the car and looks sexy as hell!

This is the 2nd Honda we've purchased from Curtis Ryan our 1st Honda has been serviced there and its 11 yrs old with over 370,000 miles on it and still runs great. We went with the intent of picking up a brochure and looking at the new Accord and CRV we had done our research and wanted an idea of what the payments would be and what the newer models had to offer. After a few minutes with Hector we had numbers that fit out budget and we were off on our test drive. Hector Rodriguez is by far the BEST sales rep we've ever dealt with, he's informed, courteous, knowledgeable and a pleasure to speak with. He answered all of questions, he took his time going over the car and all of its features during the test drive. There was never a moment during the process where we felt rushed or pressured. He was absolutely amazing!! After a few hours we walked out of there with a brand new Accord and I love my new car. We would recommend Hector Rodriguez and Curtis Ryan Honda to anyone interested in a Honda.

In this particular case our first contact with Cole Crotta was only the beginning of what was an incredibly positive experience. We have never had a salesman treat us with greater respect, courtesy and caring as we experienced with Mr. Crotta. He made sure the car was flawless and undamaged, a very different experience from what we had already suffered at the hands of a New York dealership. Such was our experience at Curtiss Ryan Honda. After having an incredibly unpleasant experience at a Honda dealership in Northern Westchester County New York, we found a dealership which had exactly what we were looking for and openly courted our business. When we arrived to pick up our new car everything was perfect. The car was exactly as represented and the sales person, Cole Crotta was a pleasure to deal with. I brought my car to Curtis Ryan after being in a car accident back in 2005, soon after purchasing it. My car was never the same after the accident. If you sat in my back seat it always sounded like the back window was open, even when it was not. After about a year the clear coat started to peal off and my trunk started leaking. I didn't take it back into the Curtis Ryan because soon after the repair was done I moved out of state to California. I was recently rear ended. The auto body shop I brought my car to informed me that who ever worked on my car in the past did one of the worst patch up jobs they have ever seen. The quarter panel was welded poorly, they left my right frame rail so twisted that my rear windshield was not sitting correctly. The only reason my trunk didn't show leaks right after the accident was because they used an insane amount of sealant to patch up the wholes. I called Curtis Ryan to let them know of their poor work. Frank in the bodywork department wouldn't let me get a word in, yelled at me and then hung up on me.I had a great experience buying my car at this dealership, but I'm sad to say they are by far the worst auto body shop to get work done on your car and do not stand by their work. If you get into a car accident go to an insurance approved shop, they will at least stand by their work for the lifetime of the car.

I told Tony Sarica I was on a lunch hour when I stopped by last week to look for a new CRV. From that moment on he went out of his way to accommodate me. Tony knew the CRV in and out and was diligent about pointing out all the new features added since I bought my last one in 2006. His professionalism and genuine endorsement convinced me that I had made the right choice in choosing another CRV and coming to Curtiss Ryan to do that.When I returned a few days later to pick up my new CRV, Tony came in over an hour before his normal shift to have everything ready for me. Brought my 2006 Honda Odyssey for service a few months back because my alarm kept going off on its own and the drivers side seat belt was always wet after it rained. The van was there for 4 days and I kept getting the same message from the department, were still checking. Not sure what it is yet. They finally determined it was the switches on the sliding doors which they fixed. They also told me they readjusted the drivers side door so the seatbelt issue was also taken care of. Today a few months later, the problem is back. Wet seatbelt, alarm firing on its own and Curtis Ryan calls saying its another part on the sunroof. I said, so fix it considering it wasnt done last time. The manager says, its going to be $112 to start plus about 4 hours or so to determine if that is the true issue. REALLY??? So the problem wasnt fixed the first time and now I have to pay more money for inadequate service? What happens 3 months from now?? This dealership is by far the WORST Ive ever dealt with. If youre thinking about a Honda DO NOT use Curtis Ryan!!!!

I purchased a top of the line CRV. No haggling. I just needed a new car. I was very clear with my salesman that I have some issues with vision and needed a good GPS and bright headlights. I was assured that the model I was purchasing had both. Needless to say, it has neither. The GPS rarely shows the street names. Rather just screen after screen of lines with no street names anywhere. I rarely know what street I'm turning on to. The headlights are so dim that my passengers keep telling me to "put on the lights". It's an accident waiting to happen. I voiced my concern, but was told it would cost me $800 to replace the headlights with Acura units. Also, I have read that many other customers have complained about the same issues. Once this car is paid off, it's back to Nissan.

I am a person who loves a great deal. However I do not love the high pressure salesmanship that some dealerships put you through in order to try and get that good deal. That being said, the reason I always come back is the way I am treated as a customer at Curtiss Ryan. I enjoyed the experience of working with Ed Blauvelt to choose a vehicle based upon his knowledge of the vehicle and the way my wife and I were treated. We came in the same day for a test drive and decided to purchase the car. We were given a very fair trade-in price for our old car. I have purchased and have had serviced my Hondas at that dealership and become more pleased with each new experience.I originally, years ago. was at another dealership and when they couldn't service my car before a trip called Curtiss Ryan. I was so impressed that I never went back to the other dealership after years of loyalty to them. Scott Glazer has been our salesman. His way with customers and his knowledge of Hondas has it hands down over any other salesperson or dealership site. I recently was in a horrible car accident, had an oncoming car come completely into my lane and total my Pilot EX-L. I was very lucky to walk away and know my Pilot saved my life. I returned to Curtiss Ryan and Scott Glazer who with care helped us replace our Pilot with a new one. Scott spent time with us going over every detail in our new car and insured us of how supportive their dealership will be in caring for the new car. It's never just about a sale at Curtiss Ryan. We were shopping for a new 2014 Honda Accord in early April. We were looking around and really liked what we were hearing about the new Accords. We had dealt in the past with other dealerships who take almost a hostile approach when you actually sit down with them and do any negotiating. Our experience at Curtiss Ryan was much different. Brian Zavoluk was the salesman who took us for a very interesting test drive all the way down to Bridgeport pretty much due to how friendly and knowledgeable Brian was and just lost track of time. Brian answered every question we had on the car and there was no pressure to buy he wanted us to be happy with the vehicle, which we were. We were actually not planning on buying a car that day, but because of a number of reasons we did. Every single step of deciding on a reasonable price was dealt with in a very professional manner, and they were very open to what we had to say. We did our research on the price we should pay for this vehicle and Brian Zavoluk and Kim Ryan put together a deal which we just could not say no to. So there you have it, this is the third car we've bought from Curtiss Ryan, because they are the easiest to deal with and they won't cheat you. Curtiss Ryan does not play the games that other dealerships do, they are in the business of great service and customer satisfaction. Brian, Kim and all the people we dealt with at Curtiss Ryan have exceeded our expectations and more than likely gained a customer for life.

Is it the most luxurious dealership around? No. Do they provide prompt, courteous sales and maintenance service? YES! What else matters? We owned Hondas in the past and returned to Japanese products after many years of enjoyable, but pricey German cars. Ed was straight to the point, helped me with everything I needed, and got me a great price I can afford, being a recent college grad. It was so refreshing, after weeks of horrible experiences at other dealers, going into a place that told me what it would cost me up front, and we worked from there. So many places make you test drive and beat around the bush before giving you a price (usually an outrageous one, too). Curtiss Ryan, and especially Ed, really made the process easier, and are the model for what car dealerships should be like. Thank you Curtiss Ryan, and thank you Ed for all of your hard work! We've done a lot of business with this dealer in the past and in general my family and I love Honda and hence we chose to go here. I must say that they are a great group of family and very easy to do business with, I would recommend them to anyone and everyone. Hector Rodriguez was the salesperson and he was a huge help. He went out of his way to be accommodating and he was very laid back and answered all of our questions and concerns in a very helpful and friendly manner. What I liked best about this dealership was the lack of high-pressure salesmanship. I've never had such a great experience at a car dealership. At other dealerships, I've experienced such high-pressure tactics as salespeople and managers double-teaming me, trying to get me to spend much more than I wanted to. At Curtiss Ryan, there was none of that. It was the nicest, easiest, most pleasant car transaction I have ever experienced in my fortyplus years of buying cars.

Ed is excellent as a salesperson - friendly, gets answers, follow through with timing, etc. Also called after the sale, which was nice. Other people who helped with the sale were also personable and helpful.Condition of car was disappointing however. You want a new car to be perfect. Ed noticed a coffee spill or something that had created a spot on the passenger seat - he immediately cleaned it. But, in addition to that, there was "dust" or small white pieces of something in many of the crevices, etc. I had to vacuum when I got home - not what you would expect.

Stopped in to see about the price for a 2013 Honda civic LX. First the price was high matching the dealers invoice but I had gotten a internet price from another local Honda dealer that was much lower. After consulting with someone in management they came back and offered the same deal as the internet price. Since I live in Shelton I would prefer to buy my vehicle there. So a deal was struck and we purched the car from Ed. Ed was very pleasant and easy to work with. He knew all the paperwork and the transaction was very smooth.

I took my daughter car shopping for her first car so she could get the full experience first hand. This was my first time buying a Honda. Scott Glazer was very friendly and courteous, knowledgeable, informative and easy to work with. In particular, I knew nothing about the vehicle I was interested in and Scott was very patient explaining its features. During my test drive he answered all my questions and pointed out other things that I needed to know about the vehicle. After the test drive I knew I was very interested. He put together a complete proposal and explained each element, and which items he felt were most important for me to consider. I went back the next morning to buy a vehicle. Scott took me to look at more vehicles so I could choose the color and interior fittings I wanted after we learned the color and model I wanted had been sold that morning. Ever since we bought our first Honda back in 1998, in which we had the best car buying experience as far as what should a person expect from an efficient and professional salesperson that is definitely into "wowing" the customer. Terri Gunger has been our go to person when we it comes to this and when we are shopping for a Honda vehicle and or whom to send potential clients to. She is definitely a reasonable and also not the "pushy type", also she always seems to come up with a better way to approach any situation that may rise during the buying process. Over the years I have referred several potential customers to her which 90% of them end up purchasing a vehicle through her. Apart from not having any mechanical issues worth mentioning here other than required maintenance and services., the Service Dept. seems is definitely well prepared and always expressing professionalism and courtesy to all customers regardless if the problem is big or small from the service desk to the auto technician. I never felt pressured to buy, I was not approached by a sales person until I asked to speak with someone (which is the way I prefer). They worked hard to match my needs with the cars available. When I left the dealership with my new car, I was very pleased with everything. A week later I get a phone call and a letter in the mail telling me that my "vehicle part was in" and I needed to call to make an appointment. I was unaware that the dealership noticed a tiny issue with the driver's window and ordered a replacement part on their own. That's customer service! I walked away from this dealership confident I made the correct decision on buying my car from them.

Like most people I don't like shopping for cars, I like to ask a lot of questions and have different options and then sit down and think about it, but Curtis Ryan is not like most dealers. They were friendly, courteous and not pushy at all. I spoke with Ed Blauvelt the first night I went and told him I only about 30 minutes to look because I had to be someplace else, he answered all of my questions and I was on time for my appointment. I chose this dealership basically because of Rory Singer. I had gone to Courtney Honda prior to going to Curtiss Ryan and they did not want to work with me at all. Rory was very friendly he gave me what I wanted for my trade in without me having to ask when I tried to get the other place to do the same thing and they refused. They did not have the color I wanted but within two days they had gotten for me with no problem when the other place told me that they would not be able to give me as much a deal if I did not purchase from their stock. I think that Rory and Jack and the staff at Curtiss Ryan just went above and beyond to make me happy. Then once I had purchased a car from Curtiss Ryan the other place was willing to work with me. To me I would recommend Curtiss Ryan any day over Courtney Honda. I would give Rory Singer an A+ rating for his salesmanship and how he goes out of his way to make his customers happy.

I visited Curtiss Ryan Honda a few years ago and met Sales Rep Hector Rodriquez . Due to the Tsunami many Honda dealers in my area were low on stock . Although I ended up buying from another dealer who by chance had the car I wanted I never forgot Hector . I appreciated all the time he spent with me and the way I was treated . I had seen him several times when deciding on a possibly purchasing another car . We spent a lot of time just talking about things in general even though he knew I wasn't buying at that time . A week ago I decided I wanted a car and got a price from another dealer where I purchased mine from . They had plenty of the model I wanted while Curtiss Ryan had just sold the last one they had . The price the other dealer offered wasn't very good especially since I was a customer . I decided to go see Hector and see if he could get one or had any hidden on some other lot . I had been there browsing on Sundays and saw the cars were gone , so I wasn't hopeful of getting one . Hector came over to me and said hello and I was upfront about the situation and the price the other dealer offered . Hector laughed and said he will get me the car cheap . He really wanted to make this happen and without hesitation gave me a price far less than the other dealer . It was actually better than I could have got through a car buying service . I'm very happy to have bought a car from Hector and joining the Curtiss Ryan Family . He got me the CR-Z I wanted and the price I needed . It just proves when a customer is treated well they don't forget . If your looking for a Honda go to Curtiss Ryan and ask for Hector , he will treat you right .

I had been shopping around for a car both online and in person. This dealership was the second dealership I went to while shopping around for a car. As soon as I walked in I knew what I wanted and explained it all to the salesman assisting me by the name of Hector Rodriguez. Hector was very helpful and the first car he showed me was the car I ended up purchasing. It was helpful to have a salesman such as Hector with alot of experience assist me. Ben Lavigne made purchasing a new Honda a great pleasure. We've bought several new cars and this was our best experience by far. Ben is friendly, laid back, professional, knowledgeable, and will give you a great price (we shopped around). He is the opposite of pushy and took a lot of time to answer all our questions. When we went in the first time to look at cars, he didn't ask for all our contact details (we drove 4 cars with him and we left without him asking for so much as our phone number). In other dealerships, we were barely through the door before they were out to get all our contact info. Once we'd bought our 2013 Honda civic, he carefully explained all the features and helped me set up the blue tooth etc. There are features of the car I would never have even known about had Ben not been so thorough. The dealership has a really low-pressure atmosphere and I couldn't be happier with my new civic - in part of course due to the extremely pleasant buying experience. I've always had Toyotas, and would never go back to driving a Toyota.

Being that it was my first new car purchase, a friend of mine recommended that I go to the Honda dealership next door to the Nissan dealership in Shelton because that was where he got his car. I was reluctant at first but I went there. I spoke to jim, who was so welcoming, and patient. Both jim and jack worked with me in getting an excellent interest rate. I am happy with my car purchase. They called me with updates, hey explained everything in great details. We own a driving school and needed to purchase a new vehicle. We had been referred to Curtiss Ryan (Jim Cossette specifically) by the former school owner. Jim is a very honest, pleasant and very knowledgable sales person. The process of purchasing our new car was VERY easy. I wanted to pay no more than $299.99/month for a new business car. After our down payment, our final finance price is $296.55. When we went to pick up the vehicle, I saw a new CR-V in the showroom. We hadn't thought about purchasing a new car for ourselves at this time, but decided see what our options would be if we decided to. Ended up that by trading in our 2007 truck, we would be able to pay less monthly for a new CR-V than we were paying on the truck-with NO MONEY DOWN! So we went for it. We have two children, a 3 year old and a 6 year old. I arrived without calling ahead to pick up my CR-V. I wasn't thinking that it might not be totally ready or that Jim may be with another customer because I was so excited. While we waited, my children were easily entertained because Curtiss Ryan has a children's play area just off the Customer Service waiting area. The room has a door and large glass window which allows the kids to play or watch movies (on the DVD/TV on the wall) without bothering other customers waiting. Also, because of the large window to the kids' room, I was able to get myself a cup of tea and them some water without having to worry I wouldn't be able to see what they were doing. All in all, it was a fantastic experience. I drove my new CR-V to New HAmpshire the following day and was amazed at how great the gas mileage was. We will always buy future vehicles from Curtiss Ryan Honda-and especially have Jim Cossette as our Sales Rep.

I have bought many cars from Curtiss Ryan, the last 4-5 from Ed Blauvelt. He is a wonderful salesman, not at all pushy and extremely laid back which makes the buying experience enjoyable. The whole dealership is that way, you never feel pressure. I have walked into many different dealerships over the years and there is nothing worse than someone stalking you before you even get through the door (like sharks after their prey). Curtiss Ryan is nothing like that, you have to ask for someone to help you. While I might be able to get a better deal at other Honda dealers, I cannot imagine finding a better salesman than Ed. As long as Ed is there, he will always be my "go-to-guy".

we have been going to this dealership for over 20 years...and are partial to hondas. our crv needed repairs that were too expensive to put into a 12 year old car, so we decided to buy a new one, a little earlier than expected. ed blauvelt was a new salesman to us and we would definitely go to him again and recommend him to friends (we already have). he was straightforward and knowledgeable and made us very comfortable. he accomplished all in a timely manner and made the whole process very smooth. since we were afraid to drive the car we had in for servicing, he arranged for us to take a loaner and just leave the old car there since we were trading it in. the entire experience was great!

Three weeks of searching almost every dealership in our area, either being ignored or treated like a clueless dolt, lied to, cajoled, and actually flat out insulted in writing at one dealership, and I was ready to keep my 2000 minivan! My brother told us to try Curtiss Ryan Honda. As a last ditched effort, my husband and I gave it a shot. Oh My Goodness! Wish I listened to my brother in the first place. They are friendly, honest beyond belief, sincere, courteous, easy to work with - yes, at a car dealership!My salesman, Frank, listened to what we were looking for, listened to my list of concerns, and put me in the Honda CRV that was a perfect fit for me. He didn't try to over sell amenities I would never use. He drove to another lot up the street to bring back a CRV in a certain color just because I was curious! (No, I didn't take that one (o: ) In fact, they had to order the color I wanted from another dealer. This was on a Monday late in the evening. We were leaving on a long weekend that Friday and when the dealer they chose couldn't have the car to them in time for our trip, they actually went to another dealer to be sure I had the car I wanted, when I wanted it, in the color I chose!When I picked up the car, Frank (always kind and sincere) had it pulled up in front, waiting for me! He even took my old plates and CLEANED THEM UP before he put them on the new car. He had set the clock, balanced and tuned the radio, and even put the back seat headrests down because he remembered from the test drive that I said they were distracting! The car was backed in near the front door so he could demonstrate the rear view cameras. He thought of everything! Kim Curtiss finished up paperwork with us and then Frank met us at the car and spent about 45 minutes with me explaining every detail about the car. He was patient and knew the car well. He was able to help me understand how to make my phone work with the blue tooth, helped me figure out the radio, explained the "easy" way to do things, and even pointed out things that might confuse or annoy me and told me how to work with them (for example the knob for tuning the radio was also for changing stations depending on which mode it was in). He made sure I was completely comfortable with the car before leaving me to drive off in my (fully fueled!) new CRV. And my first oil change is FREE! They even offer "get to know your vehicle" sessions once a month in the evening!The financing was a cake walk and while they offered other add on warranties, Jack was not pushy and actually told us we would not need some of them (my choice was to avoid all the techie stuff so some of the warranties would have been over kill).We felt comfortable and at ease the minute we walked in! The dealership was spotless, including the restrooms (even at 8 pm) - that may sound crazy but you can tell a lot about a place by the restrooms! I never once felt pressured. As a matter of fact, they never took my license or credit card from me. Every other dealer did. They were respectful of our time, and when my husband and I needed to talk things over, they always offered to give us space.To go from "ok, I'm keeping the mini van with 135,000 miles and a leaky muffler" to "Where do we sign?" in just one visit says it all. Go to Curtiss Ryan, talk to Frank Paternsotro, and rest easy. No funny business here. Just good old fashioned customer service! Oh Yeah!

Our lease turn in was unbelievably easy. Ed was able to get us exactly what we wanted in our new lease. He was very professional, answered all our questions, provided us with detailed information and options in choosing our new lease. He spent time instructing us in all the new features of our car and then called the next day to see if we were able to maneveur through all the equipment. My wife and I recieved a quote over email from the dealership and highly expected that it would change once we got to the Dealership to fill out all our paperwork. Well, that didn't happen. We got exactly what we were quoted and besides it taking a little longer than we thought, it was a great experience. There was no haggling, going to talk to the sales manageer, or having to have a heart to heart with the finance guy. Everything was taken care of by our salesperson and we were able to pick up our car the next day. I have been dealing w/ Curtiss Ryan for over 20 years. Bought my last 3 Hondas there. Although it is a 40 minute drive, I do all my tune ups there. I have never found them to be less than excellent for courtesy, accuracy and responsiveness. When I had my car towed there (the only tow job on any of my Hondas and this one had over 155,000 miles on it, at that time), they gave me a quote w/in hours and my car was ready the next day. If I had chosen to tow to one of the 2 closer dealerships, I'd still be waiting for it! I trust Curtiss Ryan. :)

This is the second Honda minivan we bought from Jim at Curtiss Ryan Honda. He remembered us and treated us great. We got a great deal on a new leftover 2012 Odyssey and Jim was great in helping us make our decision. I hate looking for a new car - because of many bad experiences with previous car purchases or leases. Therefore, it gives me pleasure to write this review for an outstanding experience. This is our second lease with Curtiss Ryan and Scott Glazer, and I doubt it will be our last. Scott is patient, thorough, friendly and guides you through the process with no pressure whatever. We came in "just looking" because our CR-V lease was about to expire, and within an hour Scott had completed the process to move us to a new Crosstour. He was previously recommended by friends who have been repeat customers of his for years, and I believe we will be also. The other nice differnce about this dealership is the fact that, unlike many other multi-nameplate dealers in the area, Curtis Ryan is Honda only and locally owned. A longtime presence in our community, and a good corporate citizen. Truly Honda specialists, which extends to their service department. I would recommend CR and Scott without reservations.

My father-in-law needed a new car after his Honda Civic was recently totaled in an accident. I spent roughly 8 hours with him car shopping one Saturday. We visited about six different dealerships, and I had my wife email a few others to price out a few cars he wanted. I typically wont step foot onto a dealers lot before obtaining pricing throguh the internet. My wife emailed was Curtis Ryan and they replied with the exact information we were looking for in 20 minutes tops....very fast!!!. They had a few vehicles he was interested in and we visited Curtis Ryan last that day. Brian their business development manager that responded to our emails set us up with Ed Blauvelt. He quoted us the vehicles we were interested in, and went through the differences in detail of the cars. We test drove every model we wanted and Ed was great through the entire process. The price quoted hit our goal (from on-line research). The buying process was low stress, friendly, and easy at Curtis Ryan and with Ed. Very different from the majority of other dealers we visited earlier in the day which made the process not very enjoyable. With Ed, no gimmicks, no bogus dealer add-ons, just solid service, and a fair price. After we agreed to buy the car he asked us when the best time for us to pick up the vehicle. He knew we had to deal with our insurance company due to the accident.One week later my father-in-law and I picked up his new Honda Accord . Ed was again great, he went over the car's features in detail. The paperwork was ready to go when we arrived and the process was again very easy. Thanks to Ed for providing a great customer experience by putting us first!

Went to Curtiss Ryan to look at the 2012 Honda Civic Si. Ed casually greeted us as he was walking by, and that mood permeated the entire dealership. It was a non-pushy, relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Ed was so great and understanding with our situation! We had trouble with getting insurance and registration, and he was very helpful and responsive. I called maybe every hour for two days, including his day off, and he still answered and called my insurance for me. Our car had been stolen, so he lent us a demo car so I could go to work while our registration was processed. It was great having someone I felt like we could trust when things were rough! Marcin, on the other hand, was not helpful and I could only reach him sporadically during two days when I was struggling with the insurance company and the DMV. Marcin insisted that we needed to get CT ID cards or licenses, but the insurance company kept insisting that it wasn't necessary and it should not be so hard to get a car registered out of state in CT. I had to miss an entire day of work going back and forth between the DMV and calling the insurance company on the phone when it turned out I could not get the ID because I had a VA license, and then I couldn't get a CT license for two weeks. Since the demo car had to be returned the next day, I was calling the dealership constantly starting at 9:00 am to work this out, but Marcin did not call back until 6 p.m., after the banks closed. Ed was the person who responded and helped me get the registration sorted out. He even passed along some messages from Marcin, who was apparently there but not answering his phone.

Curtiss-Ryan happens to be the closest Honda dealer to my home and I assisted my Mother purchasing cars here before so when I was in the market to purchase two Honda vehicles at once I started with them. Our sales person, Hector, was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable of both vehicles we were interested in.After our initial meeting and test drive I spent three weeks meeting with other Honda dealers (2 in person, 3 via phone/Internet). Hector/Curtiss-Ryan were the only dealer experience I would rate excellent! 4 of the others were very good, with only one dealer visited being poor (playing those typical delay/wait games that I thought would have died with the polyester three piece suit).When it came to settling on price I believe Hector went to bat for us and helped us secure a very fair deal. At vehicle delivery he helped make the paper process seemless. I've recommended Hector and the dealer to several colleagues already. Too bad fives are the highest ratings, both Hector and the dealer deserve better.

This is the 7th vehicle we have purchased at this dealership. We have always found everyone at this place of business more than helpful and friendly. We have been very happy with the cost of those vehicles that we have purchased. Right now we have a 2011 Civic and a 2012 Odyssey. Our earliest Honda Civic was back in 1976, purchased here. I like the fact that they do not automatically add to the cost of the car by including, paint & Fabric protection as well as other add on items that other dealers just automatically add into the price. The sales people do not follow you around like a shadow, they introduce themselves and tell you to look around and if you need help just ask. Other dealerships some of the sales people attack you when you walk into the door. The sales people also do not keep running to the management to check and offer, that is a practice that is so demeaning to the purchaser. Curtiss Ryan has a great service department. Like I said we have been using this dealership since 1976. We have never had to take the car back a second time for repairs. Everything has been done right the first time. When you take the car in you get it back fixed and washed.Without question their sales and service department get a 5 star from us.

My wife and I had come to see a colour on a Honda Accord, but Scott had engaged us and although they did not have the vehicle in inventory with the colour, he did locate a few in the TriState area, this was something the Honda dealership closest to our home in Berlin did not even offer to do. This was my son's first car that he purchased on his own. We had researched different dealerships because buying a used car can be very scary. We had heard wonderful reports about this dealership. In the past we had gone to a couple of other dealerships that were just plain dishonest. When we called and my son went there to look to see what he could purchase and keep his payments below $300.00 he was so excited that Jack Pape was able to do it. It was not a case of telling him that they probably could put him in a car at his price range.....they did it. Jack got him approved with a great rate. He worked with Jack & Rory to find just the right car. Rory who was wonderful. He was friendly, encouraging, honest and listened to all that my son wanted in a car. I don't think my son ever thought that he would be able to purchase a 2009 Honda Accord EX. The car had very low miles and was just in cream puff condition. There is not enough that I can say about the people that work there and the way they treat their customers. It does not matter who you are or what you status is or how hold you are. Let me introduce you to Ed Blauvelt, a friendly sales associate who immediately offered to bring up a new Odyssey for a test spin. We took a comprehensive drive on local streets and the highway. I brought my 2003 CRV in for service since it was running very rough. It turned out that my engine sucked in a valve and ruined the engine. It was time for a new car. I worked with Hector Rodriguez. I told him that I did not want to spend a lot of money but I wanted to find a relatively inexpensive late model Honda with low mileage. Hector showed me a list of what they had including demo models. I settled on a new Civic(4800 miles) demo at a reduced price. Hector was no nonsense and very pleasant and easy to deal with. I am very satisfied with both the service and my new car.

You can go online and book your own appointment ahead of time they have very flexible service hours during the week and on weekends also they have a express oil change which means you can bring your car in and they do the oil change pretty quickly no appointment needed. Curtiss Ryan Honda has everything going for it they are the real deal.

I waited for almost a month for my 2012 CRV and Ed kept me updated the whole time until it arrived. The buying process was so E-A-S-Y!!! Working with Marcin and Ed was awesome and they were never pushy and sleazy, unlike other people at certain dealerships, but instead very professional and knowledgeable. This is our second Honda and our first experience was with Terri and she was awesome, as well! I think I see another honda in the near future and I would never recommend another dealership.

I was satisfied with price offered which was less than other dealers closer to my home. Curtis Ryan did not have my model Pilot in stock yet was able to locate one and was delivered to me in less than one week. Hector professionally handled all the paperwork and delivery. We had been looking for a specific CR-V with navigation that we couldn't locate anywhere and Rory located one that was in the process of being made and everyday kept track of the delivery date and was in constant contact with us. Rory and Jack helped to get me out of a financial disaster with my previous car. I realized the mistake and this dealership worked with me quickly and efficiently to minimize the financial burden on me. I had bought a 2009 Civic EX with Navi from them during "Cash for Clunkers" and made the mistake of trading that car in for something more "sporty", This sporty car was costing me a small fortune, and maintenance would cost a little more than that. I returned to Curtiss Ryan Honda because of their superior service in the past. As expected they exceeded my expectations, getting me out of trouble and into the specific car I wanted within 7 days. I'm driving my new 2012 Honda Civic EX-L with Navi and I'm back on track to financial normalcy and I have these guys to thank for their help. I did most of my research on the internet. It allowed me to check out the stock of several dealerships in a relatively short span of time and at any hour of the day. I also talked to several coworkers about their reasons for driving Honda. I did NOT look forward to actually going to a dealership because don't like insincere people trying to intimidate me, or talking to me like I'm stupid. My first contact with this dealership was over the phone with the internet sales manager, Scott. When I actually went to the dealership someone came to help me right away. The salesperson, Hector, was friendly, sincere, knowledgeable and very professional without being robotic. I was comfortable talking to him; I felt like I was talking to a friend or neighbor. I was / am very impressed with the people at Curtiss-Ryan Honda -- especially Hector. The financial guy, Marcin K. was great, too; he made sure I understood everything. Even the salespeople that weren't working with me said "Hello". I could go on, but the bottom line is this: Because of Hector Rodriguez I did not go to any other dealerships. He's a top-notch salesman and an even better person. Because of him I now own a Honda! Of course I will recommend this dealership to others.

We were comfortable with the test drives and pleased with their car selection. This was my first experience buying a car, but Frank came recommended by a friend of mine and he definitely did not disappoint. From the very beginning, Frank was very detail-oriented and very easy to deal with. He took me through step-by-step of the purchasing process and even gave his personal recommendations about the dos-and-dont. Because I was very specific about the model/color car I wanted, Frank found me one of the few remaining 2011 Honda Accord (Black) on the lots, and also gave me a great deal on the purchase. He took me through each points of the promotion at the time showing me all the benefits in which he was definitely correct. Because I work in the city, my father met with Frank earlier to go over any last-minute questions, and he was impressed as well with his professionalism and engaging attitude. By the time I got there at 8PM, he had all the final documentation drafted and prepared so all I had to do was sign and we were done. On a side note, transferring the plates in heavy rain was I'm sure tough on him. I will definitely recommend Frank to any of my family/friends who look to be buying a car in the near future, as our family as always been through Curtiss Ryan. With this dealership you get more of a family-environment rather than a bunch of people trying to pitch you a car.

I recently purchased a 2011 Honda CRV from Curtiss Ryan. My family has done business with Curtiss Ryan in the past. This was my first experience in purchasing a car. I was quite nervous and came to the dealership just to pick up a brochure for the 2011 CRV. Frank met my mom and I and sat us down to discuss what I was looking for. He explained each model and the different options available with each. Frank was very well informed about every detail of the different models and very patient with my many questions. I was very uncertain regarding the color of the vehicle. Frank brought me out to the lot and we discussed the color options and he sat with me in the vehicles that were on the lot to explain the different options. Although he spent quite a bit of time with me on a busy Saturday afternoon, he never made me feel rushed or pressured. When I told him I needed to think about my decision he was very pleasant and told me to take as much time as I needed and to just call him if I had any questions. I left the dealership that day sure that I would return to purchase my vehicle from Frank. I did some research online and called Frank the following week to ask if I could test drive a vehicle with the navigation system. I went in and drove a CRV with the navigation system and made my decision to purchase one that day. I ordered the model I wanted and then sat with Jack Pape. Jack is the business manager and he helped me through the details of the loan financing. Jack was very pleasant and knowledgeable. He was also very patient with all of my questions. I had my new CRV within the week and I am so pleased with it. I can't say enough about my experience at Curtiss Ryan and I recommend anyone who is thinking about buying a car to visit Curtiss Ryan in Shelton Ct. and ask for Frank. Thanks Frank!

My wife and I were treated very well by the two Honda representatives. Marcin was very patient with us as he explained the options to us for financing our new Honda. He did not put any pressure on us to accept any of the extras that were available on our vehicle.Ed was very gracious in detailing how the whole process worked in purchasing a new Honda CRV. In fact he was able to get us a $500.00 deduction for being a current Honda owner---we already own a 2007 CRV and 2008 Accord. I have bought many cars in my time, and never have I been treated so special. When I bought my Honda CRV it was after much indecision. I have never come in contact with a more caring, kind and understanding individual as Terri. The trade-in I got for my car was very surprising, i was impressed. When it came time to sign the papers, Terri went over each and every sheet of paper and explained each one to me, and made sure I understood. Then when I got into the car Terri explained every single detail from the rear hatch storage, to moving the seats for more room. Right down to the seat belts for the rear seating. When we sat in the front, Terri explained everything radio windshield wipers, right down to every detail. Let me tell you it was no,,,Here are the keys, here are the signal lights adios amigos, I was extremely impressed. I was never more impressed in my life. She kept reminding me to read, read, read,all my books, so I would get more enjoyment out of my HONDA. I am so happy, excited, I wish everyone would buy a HONDA. Terri I love you. After being a loyal, true blue customer to Toyota for almost all of my adult driving life, I decided to look into buying a Honda. What a pleasant experience it was, working with Scott! However, I'm a tough cookie who likes to negotiate, and I suppose in order for the price to merit a 5 in my book, it would have to be cheaper than dealer cost. I am truly one who does not like to part with money.When all is said and done, if you or your loved ones are looking for a new or used car, please go to Curtis-Ryan Honda and deal with Scott Beckett. I highly recommend this dealership. Both gentlemen I worked with were very pleasant, professional and helpful. They did what they could to meet my terms and make my lease experience a positive one. It was quick and worry-free. This was the first time I have been to this particular dealership and was impressed with the cleanliness and organization. I would definitely return. My one concern is that I do question Brian's ability to make good choices as he is a NY Yankee fan. I did, however, give him the benefit of the doubt and he came through. :)

They had an easy approach with no junk salesmanship and no hidden costs or surprises. My initial 'phone contact was helpful with no pressure to buy. This compares with another dealer for Honda who tried a "bait and switch" and then had no inventory when that did not work.

I purchased a 2008 certified VP Honda pilot.Because it was certified and a rainy day, I only gave it a quick look over. I was given a carfax for the car and it all looked good. This vehicle had all service done at the dealer it was originally purchased from. The vehicle was detailed for deliverer and I picked it up the next day. At home I noticed some areas of the body that didn't look right. Further inspection showed some body work on the left rear quarter. I notified Frank my salesperson and brought the car for them to look at. Frank,Brian(sales manager) and the body shop manager, all came out to look at my vehicle. They decided to take it apart in the shop. It was found that the car was in two rear end accidents. None of which were on the carfax report. Brian called me to let me know that they felt it wasn't worth being repaired the proper way.There was bondo on the two rear quarters and the rear door had to be replaced.They took the car back and put me in a certified 2008 EXSE pilot for nearly the same price. Frank and Brian were great and the whole process changing from one vehicle to the other went smoothly. I would buy another vehicle from Curtis Ryan in Shelton. They stand behind the cars they sell.

We had to communicate via phone and email a few times before the transaction was completed and they always responded in a very friendl,professional and timely manner. I've been dealing with Curtiss Ryan Honda for almost 10 years. I purchased my first Honda there and regularly went back for service. About 15 months ago, I purchased another Honda from a different Honda dealership closer to my home and began going there for service. That's when I realized how wonderful Curtiss Ryan is. The Service Dept. is excellent, the employees are friendly and knowledgeable - great Customer Service. I've switched back to Curtiss Ryan and I'm now driving 40 minutes to get my car serviced, but it's worth it to me!

Took my car to this dealer for oil change a few times , then i had rotor work done. I had some vibration issues in my car and he didn't want to even look at it. Everybody was very rude to me. Its like they do it for free or something. I felt very bad for the way they treated me.

IF YOU CANNOT HANDLE THE SIMPLEST QUESTION YOU SHOULDN'T BE IN THE LINE OF FIRE. THEY ADVERTISE 30 MINUTE OIL CHANGES NO APPOINTMENT NEEDED WELL I WAS THERE FOR OVER AN HOUR AND THEN THEY LOST MY KEYS WHAT KIND OF SERVICE IS THAT? WHILE I WAS THERE I OBSERVED THE SERVICE MANAGER BELITTLING ONE OF HIS EMPLOYEES, SHE LOOKED AS THOUGH SHE WAS ABOUT TO CRY THAT IS VERY POOR MANAGEMENT. WHILE I WAS WATCHING THEM SCRAMBLE FOR MY KEYS ANOTHER EMPLOYEE WAS VERY RUDE AND PASSED A BODILY NOISE INFRONT OF EVERYBODY, THAT IS SO DISGUSTING. We have purchased over 10 Hondas from this dealership. They have been new, leased, and used. They have never given us any problems about anything and have even bent over backwards to see if they can get us coverage from Honda for something that went wrong. I have nothing but great things to say about them. They have done tons of bodywork for us and have always stood behind their work. My husband and I highly recommend this dealership to anyone who is looking for a reputable dealership.

I would recommend with reservations. The quality of my service was good and the actual scheduling of the appointment was quick and easy. Their prices are in line with what I believe other dealers are for service. My car has always been ready when I've asked for it to be ready and the pick-up process is quick. Maybe a little too quick. My only complaint about this dealership is that the service people are not very friendly. It seems like they are quick to want you to pay for your repair and leave yet not too quick in explaining the details to you. I will bring my Honda back for repairs and service here as it is overall convenient to me. But I don't know if I would ever buy a new Honda here.

I TOOK MY CAR TO CURTIS RYAN FOR A PARTIAL PAINT JOB AND SOME BODY WORK. I RECEIVED TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THE BODY SHOP REALLY MESSED UP! MY CAR CAME BACK WITH A DENT IN THE TRUNK AND DEEP SCRATCHES IN THE ROOF. THEY TRIED TO TOUCH UP THE PAINT AND USED A PAINT BRUSH...YES A PAINT BRUSH! ANY IDIOT KNOWS THAT YOU DO NOT USE A PAINT BRUSH TO PAINT A CAR! I SPENT $400.00 AND PAID CASH. I TRIED TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM WITH THE SERVICE MANAGER AND OWNER BUT DID NOT COME OUT A WINNER... I AM GOING TO CONTACT THE BBB AND HAVE ALREADY FILED A POLICE REPORT IN HOPES OF GETTING MY MONEY BACK FROM THESE CROOKS....DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR TO CURTIS RYAN FOR BODY WORK...I DO NOT RECOMMEND...

As far as the service goes I had a good experience .. The labor charge that these dealers charge are extreme .. I went in for an oil change and was out within 35-40 minutes and got a free car wash.. Dan was very friendly !! My only complaint was the cashier was rude. She never made eye contact and seemed to be rushing me out.. I got a bad vibe from her that made me feel uncomfortable. I know it was early in the morning but come on ; atleast pretend like you want to be at your job !!!

Have been bringing my Hondas and Acuras to C R since 1987, and have had very good luck with them. They always have my car ready when promised, give it a wash unless it is freezing outside, and have kept all 4 my Hondas and Acuras on the road for more than 800,000 miles total. Keep in mind that this is a dealership, and service rates are typically higher than your local garage, but to be able to get my car back on time running properly, in a clean environment is worth a small premium to me. For an oil change while you wait 30 minutes they have wireless internet available, and with a major service you can get a loaner car for the day at no charge if you request it in advance, a wonderful advantage so you are not stuck there waiting for a ride which they also give to local addresses)

I took my car in for service to check a possible steering pump fluid leak (that was discovered last month during a routine oil check up). I dropped my car off at 7:30 and was told I'll get a call by noon. Not only did I not get a call, I called 3 times before I got some answers, by then it was 3:30pm. I told them I wanted to know how big and bad the leak was because I didn't want to replace the pump if I didn't have to. The service lady was very snotty and said "oh well then I'll have to go talk to the technician".. she finally called me back about 3:50pm (keep in mind I'm scheduled to pick up my car between 4-5pm that same day). She calls back finally and mumbled something about coming back in one week. I asked her to repeat what she said, and she said they put die in the pump and I should drive it for a week and return the car for further diagnosis so they can isolate the leak. SO... I go pick up my car, only to find a scribble scrabble writing on the back of the sheet I'm supposed to sign. The technician actually wrote these words " this vehicle is a total piece of garbage, engine sounds likes it's about to explode at 150k, any money spent on this toilet is a gargantuan waster!" Nice, ha? I reacted and said "you're kidding me, is this a professional establishment or not?". The service rep realized what I saw and went in crisis mode. Long story short he took 1/2 off my bill, yet I still don't know what they heck is wrong with my car. Finally, I drove home, and opened the hood to see if there was any decrease in the sterring fluid pump. What I discovered was no loss in fluid pump, but a screwdriver sitting inside under the hood!!! the technician left a tool there!! I do not plan to return to Curtiss Ryan. They charge $92!!!! JUST to diagnose (look at) a problem!!! The airline industry doesn't charge that much!!!!!!!!!!!!
