Tried working with this dealership, got passed around by multiple reps. It seemed nobody cared for the customers here. It's not worth your time, find a better CDJR store.

I called this dealership and Stacy Penrod the sales perso n told be that i would be able to work a deal on a vehicle for my pre-approved loan of 35K. She specifically told me that her sales manager said that everything with my trade looks good. Mind you that i am stationed 200 miles away in FL...She reasured me that if i drove there that i would be going home in a 300 srt8. The first prob. Was that when i got there she wasnt there (she promised me that she would be there) the second problem was that the 300 srt 8 had numerous problems (Stacy told me there where no problems with the car) the car had interior panels coming off, check engine light on, knock off straight pipes, highschool pieced air intake, spliced speaker wires, etc. I told the dealership that these problems had to be fixed. Then they said that eveything out the door for car is 43K thats a 8K difference from what Stacy told me. So i left the dealership pissed off, and before then they had the nerve to tell me "thank you for your service"...WOW! So now i put 400 miles on my vehicle and spent 7 hours away from my family all because they lied to me! I even tried to contact there customer service manager about it and he said he would get back to me about the situation and he never did. This is the worst experience i ever had with trying to buy a car!

Will recommend with reservations of competence of service department and this is why.My husband and I purchased a 2015 Chrysler Town & Country from Chuck Stevens Ford. While we are very impressed with their forever warranty, we aren't happy with certain things that happened the day of purchase. We decided on a vehicle on a Saturday. We went through the purchase process while they "detailed" the vehicle". Upon completion of paperwork, my husband had to leave for an appointment. I waited for the van. When we test drove the van, the driver's rear tire was very low on pressure, (15psi). I mentioned this and the sales rep said it would be taken care of. He also had to run down to the local gas station to get gas. When I started to drive off the lot, the tire still showed 15psi of air pressure. The gas gauge was a hair above empty and the auto detailing was a joke. When I asked the salesman, he said, "I didn't have much cash so I could only get a little bit of gas and had no money for air". My husband was completely blown away that they allowed a lady to leave with not much more than a flat tire, and they didn't have money for it? They have 4 or 5 dealerships in a mile span and there was no one to access an air compressor at any of the locations. Kind of a safety issue.Second issue, the day after purchasing the vehicle the passenger side door latching mechanism was acting up. I called the following Monday and they assured me they would take care of it. Prior to leaving the next week on vacation, I took the van in to have the tire fixed and the door serviced. They couldn't fix the door, as they said they didn't have the expertise that the Chrysler service department had. They fixed the tire....if you want to call it that. They plugged it and the plug came out 1 1/2 weeks later. I ended up taking it to a local tire repair business and he showed me the where it had been plugged. The tire repairman patched the tire the correct way.The door has continually got worse....it comes ajar while driving down the road. Seriously a safety hazard. When I talked to our salesman, he said that since we didn't buy the bumper to bumper warranty we were responsible for full charges of getting the door fixed. I understand they can't be responsible for every issue forever, however, I brought the door to their attention the monday after we purchased it on saturday. I firmly believe they should repair the vehicle! Neither here nor there. My husband said that since they would not make it right, we would take it to our HONEST mechanic to have it fixed. His confidence in their service department is lacking. His statement to me, "if they can't fix a tire, what makes you think they can fix a door latching mechanism"? Point taken.So....my review is 2 stars in stead of 1 simply because we are confident in the actual owner, Chuck Stevens, and if he was aware of the issues, we feel like he would take care of them. He is on medical leave so we aren't able to be in contact with him. Also, the forever warranty on used cars is awesome. It covers the engine, transmission, bearings....power train. That, you can't find at any other used car dealership. We feel their vehicles are very fair in price. It's too bad they didn't fix the tire correctly and the door. I would have given them 5 stars, had they satisfied me.

I had an appointment with a lady salesperson named Stacy a couple of weeks ago. I shouldn't have gone because she was rude on the phone but I did anyway. I showed up there only to realize she was worse in person. The most condescending young lady I've met in a very long time. And she lied about the price of the truck I wanted. I bought at Chris Myers the next morning. They told me that place had the worst reputation in the south Alabama. I can see why.

Buying my car was a very pleasant experience from start to finish. From the salesman who was very knowledgeable and helpful to the finance manager who was exceptional and took the time to make sure I understood all of my options and everything I signed. Would absolutely go there to buy another car.

On July 20th I came into Chuck Stevens Ford. I came in for an oil change and tire rotation. I got a cup of coffee and went out to the lot to have a look around and see the new Ford trucks. I came into the showroom and sat down and had a conversation with Mr. Jr Byrd, he took the time to go over some possibilities of purchasing a new truck.Jr went over everything I suggested, his imput helped me out greatly. Then comes time for all the paperwork necessary to see if I qualify which is usually nerve racking for me. Jr made me very comfortable and said he will take care of everything for me.Mr. Vernon Pugh took me outside and we talked about all the possibilities concerning the purchase. He made sure that I had the best possible chance to make a purchase, he got me a great interest rate and price on a new truck. This is the 4th truck that I've bought from Chuck Stevens Ford and the most satisfying experience I've had. I want to thank all of your staff for the professional service they gave me. Especially to Mr. Jr Byrd, Mr. Vernon Pugh and Ms. Leslie McCraney for their professional and friendly service.I've told my friends about this experience and highly recommend Chuck Stevens Ford to everyone.Again, thank you very much for all you do to make this a very good experience. Mr. B.

Stopped by to look at yellow Corvette I saw here on Cars.com. The pictures were so bad you couldn't tell anything about the true condition. All the pictures were grainy, very over exposed or very dark. I swear they did it on purpose the car is such a piece of junk. The body of the car is destroyed. Full of spiderweb cracks meaning the whole car has to be stripped to the fiberglass to be repaired before being repainted. The interior is fair. You could easily spend $8-$10,000 making the car right. The car was not taken care of. Of course there is no mention of a single flaw. I wouldn't trust a thing they sell.

Left our 2007 Mercury Montego we bought at Chuck Stevens for A/C diagnosis & to have oil & plugs changed. Left it on 29th of May & it was ready June 2nd. Said the compressor was leaking & faulty & would need to be replaced. I was given a price of $1400.00 for this. Quoted 236.00 + tax to change 6 plugs & $ 60.00 for a specified synthetic oil change. I considered 1400.00 a bit high for the A/C work but, was willing to pay more for expertise. When we went to pick up the automobile we were not informed about the warranty till we asked. It was quite good actually (24 months on parts and labor) We proceed to customer service & wrote the check to pay the bill. Upon reviewing the bill I noticed a $30.00 charge for a oil change. I told the customer service individual that took the check that I did not think it was right & did they put synthetic oil in the vehicle? ( We had bought this car new from there and always used synthetic oil in it) She phoned Leslie who came & said it was not synthetic but synthetic blend. She said it was her fault and if I could wait she 15 minutes she would correct it. As she was leaving I asked her if there was going to be a additional charge and she indicated to me "that it was not my money" so I took that as a yes. I had already written the check and told her I was not going to pay for a mistake and asked her to get a manager on the phone which she did. She talked to him and he told her not to charge us. I then was given a customer award or credit on my next visit of $88.00 As i reviewed this I noticed it had wrong address & city on it. It was given to my son who had previously bought a vehicle there. As I pointed this out the clerk said well I will keep his name on there and change address & city to yours. ( We have same name except I am Sr.) Overall I have been satisfied in the past with this dealership and have referred others to it. However, I think customer experience in customer service could be enhanced & would result in higher reviews. .

I filled out a form on the Internet indicating a 2012 Toyota van I was interested in. I asked a couple of questions concerning the van equipment and If the van was still in stock. On Monday morning I got an e-mail reply from the dealership stating that in a short period of time a salesperson would be contacting me. That has been about ten days and I have never heard from anyone else at the dealership. I know my e-mail address was correct because I was contacted. I was really interested in the van but not if this is the way this dealer conducts business.

This guy must own a body shop I didn't know about. I've never seen so many bad Carfax cars at any dealer in my life. I looked at an Acura TL he had on cars.com on my way to work. The car is literally 4 different colors. I opened the door to a Toyota Highlander a few cars down. It smelled so bad inside I almost threw up. The seats were all stained. It was absolutely nasty. Enough for me. So much for buying local. Now I know why he has the reputation he does in this town.

This guy has more websites than I've ever seen in my life, every one of them priced different. Most, if not all of the sites have prices called "Equity Pricing". I still have no idea what that is, it doesn't say on most of their sites. Others have the same equity pricing, but on these it says the discounted prices are with 10% down. Others say with $2500 down. which is it? But if you look at the window sticker of the new cars, the discounted online price is full sticker. Can you believe it discounted to full sticker. So does that mean they are adding more to the price of the cars so they can discount it back to full sticker? Is that even legal? My poor daughter drove over 100 miles to figure out she was being taken. and she called them before going down there and they continued on the phone with the scam. Do yourselves a favor and find an honest dealer. Companies doing business like this won't be around very long. We wound up in Pensacola. The dealer there is straight as an arrow.

My wife and I purchased a new Dodge Durango from Chuck Stevens Automotive on 11/19/2012. This is the third automobile that we have purchased from Chuck Stevens since living in the Mobile County area. The customer service was great. The Internet Sales Department (Tenille & Jim) was very responsive and prompt to my contacts. The Salesman (Brandon) and Managers (Chuck & Bobby) stayed until almost 9:00 P.M. to get everything done. Everyone we dealt with was very friendly and accommodating. The price of the Durango we purchases was a little more than I wanted to pay but I believe we still got a good deal. Our overall experience was excellent.

Very friendly people. HOWEVER, make sure you get everything in writing and make a final inspection BEFORE you sign the contract or else you will be left holding the bag. Signed contract on Friday, came back on Saturday to pick up car. When I picked up the car, only one floor mat was in car. It was suspected that detail shop forgot to put them all back in car. Was also only given one key to car and was told other was locked up in GMs office and would be retrieved on Monday and mailed to me. On Tuesday, I called dealership after not hearing anything back, and was told sorry on the floor mats, nothing they could do, and was told cannot find 2nd key but would continue to look and let me know when they found it. After a week of back and forth calls, was finally told sorry on the 2nd key, but they would be willing to sell me another one at their cost of $185.00! An anonymous call to their parts department got me a verbal quote of $185 for this as well. I guess they sell all of their parts and service at their cost? They now were trying to say never had a 2nd key, even though one of the photos on the on-line ad clearly showed 2 keys. But now since the car was sold, that ad had been deleted and mysteriously no back-up of it is to be found anywhere in the world. They apologized again, but basically said too bad, that they were not willing to do anything to make this right. Ad also said the car had a radio that satellite capable too. Once I got home with the car and read the manual and had the satellite radio guys on the phone to activate it, found out this was not true. This car did not have a satellite radio. Did not even bother calling and asking about this as from their response on the floor mats and 2nd key, I was sure what their response would be on this. Chuck Stevens claims to be the home of the lifetime warranty which is what got me to their dealership in the first place. Based on their service after the sale thus far, I am concerned how they will react should I ever need to have any work performed under this warranty.

Trucks are for work!
Jun 27, 2012
I found a truck listing on the internet and worked with a salesperson who was helpful and finally got me the information and pictures I requested. I drove 456 miles to buy the truck and when I got the everything went to crap! the sales person I had talked to was off and his sales partner was a jerk, he was more concerned with talking to buddies than selling me anything. The sales manager had to handle the sale and he agreed to balance the tires while I returned the car I rented to drive down there. When I returned the truck had not been touched and the keys were lost, took them a half hour to find them. These people are clueless and on top of that they will hit you with a ridiculous dealer fee after you agree on a price.

Overall experience at buying this used vehicle was a good one in which the staff was very friendly and willing to do what was necessary to finish the job in a timely and friendly manner. Felt that we got good value for our trade in and that the overall price of the used vehicle purchased was good. Will return for future buys.

James Smith made our purchase process extremely easy. He ordered the exact vehicle that I wanted and sent me text messages to let me know how the process was going. My husband and I have dealt with other dealerships before and the process was horrible and we never wanted to buy a new vehicle again, but the process with James Smith at Chuck Stevens was very easy. Thank you again James for a great buying experience, from a very thankful military wife.

I recently purchased a car from this company. I must say it was one of the best car buying experience i have ever been apart of. Everyone there was truly nice and not just pretending to get a sale like you see at most dealerships. They never once tried to present me with a car that i didn't want nor ask for like ALL of my other previous dealership visits. Over all the seller (Rodney) listened to what i wanted and he did a very good job communicating what i needed in order to purchase the vehicle. I think these are great people at a great business and i will be buying from them again.

Just purchased a 2005 Maxima from Chuck Stevens, It was not a really expensive car, I wanted to just spend my tax refund. I dealt primarily with the internet dept. Chris, the internet manager, and the rest of the staff made my buying experience awesome. I would recommend shopping Chuck Stevens Internet to everyone. It was painless and an easy process. We were astonished by the great service that your sales department helped me so very much." Mr. Chuck helped me personally, which I thought made the buying process even more enjoyable because he is such a very kind & nice man. I love my new Dodge Caravan. Chuck Stevens and his staff at Chuck Stevens Dodge Chrysler Jeep answered all my questions and stepped me through the WHOLE process.I WILL TELL YOU ONE THING. I strongly recommend using Mr. Chuck & Chuck Stevens Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, for anyone out there looking for any type of vehicle. We ended up buying a new Dodge Grand Caravan. But we noticed they had used vehicles on their lot too. The dealership really was wonderful. The internet man and the salesman was a big help and answered all of our questions and he really went through the car, explaining all the instruments and all that other stuff on my car that makes it run.All in all it was a good experience. I've been recommending Chuck Stevens Dodge to all my friends because of how nice they are. Thanks again Mr. Chuck & all the peoples at Chuck Stevens in Bay Minette, AL. It did take the service department a little while to install my tow hitch Just the way I wanted.... but they finally got it. Thanks Chuck

I went over to see about buying a used truck and I told them I didn't want to spend all day at a car lot. The internet manager advised me that he would get me something he called a no hassle price. It sounded good. But that is what those salespeople are good at. I had my eyes on my watch the entire time very nervous as to how many hours I would be sitting there waiting on him to return. To my surprise it was 10 minutes later the owner introduces himself to me personally. He had a lot of energy and was polite to me. He presented the numbers to me and I was happy when he told me I could get the truck with no money down. Considering that the bank that financed me got my interest rate at a pretty competitive interest rate. Needless to say from the moment I walked in the door until dealing with the owner, the finance person, and the salesperson I was happy with the way I was treated in a professional manner. Most car dealers get a bad reputation because that's just what we interpret them as being. Chuck Stevens professionalism and fair pricing was the reason I did business with them. I never had to haggle back and fourth as I have had to do in prior experiences with other dealers. They found the truck I wanted. I do really love the truck I purchased. I got in and out in total about an hour and 30 minutes, with them detailing my truck and filling it up with gas. This also surprised me because of gas prices right now. I was happy with the way I was treated at this dealership. I think anyone can have a really great experience or a really bad experience at any place they do business. So this is all just really a matter of opinion. But I was happy enough to take the time to write a review. So there you go Chuck Stevens. You did well.

THEY TOOK ADVANTAGE OF A DISABLED FAMILY - In my opinion . . . I was lied to in several ways. They promised to fix a few specifics, and didn't; lied about extra taxes I ended up paying, Check Engine light came on 10 miles from dealer; they wanted me to pay them; purposely took advantage of a disabled family. Please be careful, and take your business elsewhere! I know for a fact the staff post fake positive reviews to try to cover up the truth. I will not be covered up!!!
