Just bought our 4th car from Carmax Plano over the past 6 years. We've sold them two cars too. We bought both teenagers their cars in last 13 months. We actually used the 5 day return policy on the car before last becasue we thought that something was wrong with the electrical system on that car. I could never recreate the problem for the carmax technician, but I had bad feeling about that particular car. So even though they never even saw the problem (and had no reason to even believe me that something was wrong) they took the car back within the 5 days and gave us our money back. We found another car of same make, model and miles and bought that one instead. I will never go anywhere else. I really really like the people too.

Was sent to Carmax by a car salesman. His place gave me a very low trade end price. Carmax gave me $5000 more. I did go back to the other dealer and buy their car. Very happy with both places.

I was absolutely stressed out upon entering when I came to Carmax Plano. It had nothing to do with Carmax, but because of a terrible few experiences at traditional dealerships that had just left me turned off. I sent one email inquiry and was blessed to get a reply from one sales consultant- Jennifer Shannon. And boy was I lucky! Jennifer set an appointment with me immediately and went above and beyond from the time I walked in, to the time I walked out with the keys the very next day. She wanted me to find the car that made me giggle she said- the perfect fit. We looked and looked at cars and test drove some, and then I found the one that made me giggle and decided on a Nissan Altima. She was incredibly personable and considerate; a hospitality and integrity that was unmatched- especially in the car buying industry. I have never experienced car buying so easy! I will never ever venture to a traditional snake ridden dealership again. I am a CarMax customer for life. Set up an appointment with Jennifer Shannon! You won't regret it!

This is by far the worst experience I have had with the purchase and moreover the service at CarMax. You sold me a car with a bent sub frame and multiple other issues. I returned the car twice to have repairs done. The first visit my car was returned with a few of the items repaired but they pulled the car onto a curb and claimed thats what the front splitter is for on a sports car. The second visit a few more small items were repaired but I still have a low engine knock and a safety gear switch damaged as well as squeaking brakes. I had to prove the window seal was leaking water by purchasing a bottle of water and showing the service personnel as well as a series of photos and videos for multiple other issues. Rick was very helpful in the beginning we went in for an appraisal on a vehicle we had bought previously at another carmax. It was time for an upgrade. We looked at vehicles that were comparably equipped to our current vehicle. After some time we went back to find our appraisal offer. It was way lower than expected. This pushed us into a range that we did not want to be in.Rick said he had one that would meet our needs and price level. What he brought back was not what we wanted. He got a little upset when it was apparent we were not wanting a test drive.I understand that we had taken up about 45 minutes of his time at that point but, I do not appreciate being pushed into something I was not interested in.

I got immediate service but they did not have any cars I was interested in. I was looking for a replacement for my 2003 Pontiac Montana. All the new crossovers and minivans have less room and worse fuel economy so I decided to get it repaired and keep it.

Buying was fairly painless and quick. I had shopped and shopped for awhile and found a vehicle in another city. They transferred vehicle free of charge so I could see it first hand and test drive it. After seeing and test driving I bought the car. Thanks CarMax.

The car I went to see was in terrible condition. They offered thousands below NADA for a trade. They did not even try to make a deal work. Never will deal with carmax.

EXCELLENT APPRAISAL OF OUR LEXUS TRADE-IN AND GROOD PRICE AND LOW MILEAGE ON OUT PURCHASE. A BIT OF A HASSLE WITH OUR FINANCING THROUGH STATE FARM BANK BUT ALL WORKED OUT JUST TOOK SOME EXTRA TIME

Me and the wife were looking for a 06 Pilot and was using a outside financing source. We looked at Carmax as i have bought 3 cars from them before. They had one Pilot we liked but we found one that we liked better at another dealer. Well to make a long story short we decided to "try" to see if the other dealer could beat what we already had arranged on our own. Their "final" offer after 2 hours of going back and forth and made out to be a fool was 19.58% interest..HAHA we walked quicklyIn the mean time Barry called from Carmax as we had filled out some info online and said we got you approved and the interest rate was 2% better than the one we had gotten on our own and it was with the same bank!!! Also no down payment.PS The total cost at Carmax WITH the 3/36000 extended warranty was cheaper than the other dealers vehicle price without TTL and with the same features just different color.Total time in Carmax for our new Pilot just at an hour!!
