Overall I had a great experience working with Balise Hyundai, and more specifically Paul Owens. I first contacted Paul via telephone to have him run some numbers on a Santa Fe deal that I had seen while driving by the dealership. He was very prompt to respond to me and was able to set up a meeting with me for the following day. I was looking to lease a car for the first time, Paul was very helpful in explaining the procedure of leasing and provided me with all the information that I was looking for, as well as more. I wanted to trade my car in within a very short time period, and Paul was able to accommodate that and have me in my new lease within 3 days of first contacting him. I am very happy with my lease.

We would have liked to purchase our old leased car but too many obstacles were put in place to make it difficult, ie The car was in excellent shape with low mileage , but the dealer wanted $1,000 to recondition the car, $400 for paper work and we would be without a car for three weeks, which we both very inconveient and unacceptable.

I had previously leased 2 Sonatas from same dealership. I knew what I wanted and the only issue was monthly payment. The salesman was respectful of my time. The negotiation was fair and straightforward. The car was delivered the same day without any problems. Since recently-purchased winter tires did not fit the new Sonata, the dealer purchased new winter tires for the new car in exchange for my winter tires. Very fair.

I worked with Jimmy Germain to purchase this car. He was excellent. He has a great attitude and really knows these cars! He brought up two models that we were trying to compare and relayed both features without looking at the window stickers. It made this so easy. I couldn'tbelieve it! The car we bought had not been on this lot very long so he had done the research for sure. When it came time to pickup the car, he spent so much time explaining the dashboard features and for an older person that has not kept up with technology too well, explained it in a way I understand, and with kindness and patience. The finance lady was also so kind and patience. I felt she had made a great effort to compare the loan options for us. She was also kind and a explained each step in a friendly fashion. The sales folks all work together, ZERO tension between them. Great sense of humor and they all appear to enjoy their jobs. Thanks again!

I was not even in the market for a new car, but had a service appointment for my 2015 Sonata with almost 100,000 on it. O'Brian reached out to me after seeing my service appointment and wanted to make me aware of all of the great deals on the current Sonatas, and asked if I would be interested in trading in my 3 year old car for a brand new one. I ended up saving $10 a month of my car payment and bringing no money down. It was a win/win situation for me to have the piece of mind knowing that I would be driving a brand new vehicle and not have to worry about any repairs in the near future. Today I brought my under-warranty 2011 Hyundai Veracruz to this dealership for two manufacturer recall campaigns. Later in the day I received a call from the service advisor informing me that one of my brake calipers was "sticking" and had nearly worn out the pad. I was informed that a sticking caliper is not covered by the Hyundai Assurance bumper-to-bumper warranty - the caliper must seize before it is covered. A phone call to Hyundai USA opened a case there but I was informed the dealer is the arbiter of what is an is not covered under the warranty. I started this day a loyal Hyundai customer of 12 years and ended the day filing a complaint with the Massachusetts Attorney General. What a disappointing experience from a brand and dealer I have valued for years.

Wow! My husband and I have dealt with many car sales people over the years, but Mark and JJ rise right to the top. Mark was friendly and attentive, but never pushy. When he didn't know an answer to one of our questions, he immediately found out from someone else. He was very relaxed and even allowed us to drive the car on our own. He was a pleasure to deal with! I actually took my vehicle in for routine maintenance and while I was in the waiting room I received a call from the dealership asking if I was interested in upgrading to a newer vehicle. I was not interested but the sales employee approached me and persuaded me to at least look at some numbers and options. Needless to say I did eventually purchase a 2014 Tucson. I did not feel obligated to purchase and OBrian was very considerate of my hesitation since I was very happy with the 2011 Tuscon I already had. I will continue to recommend this dealership to all of my friends and family. The service is exceptional.

Great experience. I had done fairly extensive research before going in, and even though my Hyundai kept coming up in my research, I didn't know anyone who has one, and was expecting to just go in and cross it off my list. Silly me. I know own a 2011 Sonata. The salesman, Mark Anderson was really easy to deal with. He really listened, and best of all, everything he said was true (I had walked away from a few other cars I probably would have been happy with because the sales people couldn't stop lying). All the cars I looked at there were priced well (I looked at Edmunds, CR, and did a lot of phone shopping) so haggling was pretty minimal. I was never rushed, and never made to feel that if I didn't sign today, I'd lose the opportunity of a lifetime, or any other dealership BS.I've been driving it for almost a month, and I'm quite pleased.

I had to call AAA because I locked my keys in the trunk. The AAA service broke the locks on both my front doors of my 2013 Elantra not even 4 months old so neither would open from the outside.. The service manager went out of his way to coordinate the cost of the repair with Davis the AAA co. and also the painting of the damage by the tin knocker of Orleans which I had already scheduled because of an accident requiring the back passenger side door to be painted. I do not know of the quality of the work as the parts did not come in overnight. Balise has given me a rental as I live in Orleans until the repair is made ,hopefully on Monday. The service manager relieved me of having to negotiate with both Davis and Tin Knocker about the payment and also got me home from Hyannis. I wish I could remember the Managers name but will thank him personally when I pick up my car.

This was my first new car purchase after graduating college. The crew who helped me buy my first car was unbelievable. Jake Roberts was my sales guy and the experience I had with him was fantastic. He was always there to answer any questions or concerns I had. He made buying my first car easy and lifted a lot of stress off of my shoulders. He was able to get my car payment in the price range that I wanted it to be plus I was able to get a vehicle that had a whole bunch of extras. James Tinsley the Business Manager completed the finance paperwork with me and he was also very friendly and knowledgeable. I am extremely happy with the service I receive at Balise of Cape Cod from my sales representative, Judy McGlochlin to Tony the Service Manager and His very able, knowledgeable, helpful and polite staff. I ask many many questions and they are all answered quickly and politely without trying to make up answers. I find their answers very reasonable and correct. We have purchased 4 cars since 2003 from the Cape Cod Hyundai dealers Balise and the predecessor Miskinis, but not (Joe LaHamm).

I visited the dealership just to show my granddaughter a car that I liked. I was greeted by Peter Stout. He asked me if I would like to test drive the vehicle. It was a 2012 Hyundai Veloster. I said OK, and off me and my two granddaughters went. I was very impressed with the way the vehicle handled. I showed my husband and my daughter the vehicle. Everyone seemed to like the vehicle. I had no intentions in purchasing a new vehicle that day, I was just pointing out to my granddaughters a vehicle that I thought was "cool". When I returned from the test drive, I was approachedby JJ Hoyt. He asked what I thought of the vehicle. I told him I loved it, but didn't think I could afford a new vehicle. He ran some number for me, and they were not in my budget. I told him that if he could make the payments the same as what I was currently paying,I would consider it. I figured that would never happen and off I went. About 2 days later, Mr. Hoyt called me with the good news that my payments would remain the same,so naturally I had to now buy the vehicle. When I went in to sign the papers for my new purchase I dealt with James Tinsley. I have purchased many vehicles in my time as a driver, but never had such a good experience as I did with Mr. Tinsley. He was very professional and explained everything i detail that I was signing. He had me in and out in no time at all. Then I sat with Mr. Stout, who went over every inch of the vehicle with me. He was very helpful and knowledgable about the vehicle. He was able to answer all of my questions. He even hooked up my phone to the car. I would definately recommend anyone interested in purchasing a vehicle to Balise Hyundai of Cape Cod, and I have sent peple there for their purchase.

My 2012 Sonata radio stopped working. I couldn't even turn the radio on. I live in Truro, MA, over 40 miles from the dealer, Balise Hyndai. I called Balise and was transferred to Tony Berenthal who knew what the problem was and guided me through the process to fix it. Using his cell phone, he stayed with me as I followed his instructions and got the radio working again. His patience should be rewarded, since I am technologically compromised. THIS WILL SUBSTANTIATE WHY WE GAVE BALISE HYUNDAI IN HYANNIS MASS. THE HIGHEST RATING IN ALL CATEGORIES....I live in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. My wife Judy and I have been vacationing on Cape Cod for 40 of the last 43 years. Prior to going to the Cape this year, we sold our 2000 Pontiac Montana and bought a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe locally here in Kitchener. Recognizing that we would not have as much room in the Santa Fe compared to the Montana to transport all our stuff to the Cape, we purchased a car top bag on-line. While it had lots of space to store our belongings, the strap configuration to hold it on the roof of the Santa Fe was not the best due to the design (window placement etc) of the Santa Fe. We got to Cape Cod, but had to stop periodically and tighten the straps.Being not 100% happy with our car top bag, we decided to look around Hyannis for a hard top cargo carrier. We went to several places, but couldn't find what we wanted and at a price we wanted to pay. Finally my wife Judy said...why don't we go to the local Hyundai dealership which was Balise Hyundai on Yarmouth Road in Hyannis. So that is exactly what we did. We went into the Parts Dep't at Balise and talked to 3 very nice people, one of which was Mike. Mike listened very carefully to our request, and went on their Hyundai network to see if he could find what we wanted. He came back to us with some great news that he had found exactly what we wanted and at a price we were willing to pay. I had several questions regarding the compatibility of the car top cargo carrier with my Santa Fe two side rails and cross members(2). Mike went out in the yard and looked at my rail configuration twice and each time he went back inside and made a phone call to another Hyundai location to get my questions answered. He even produced a printout of the answers to my questions. That was on Thursday, July 12th, and Mike arranged to have it shipped to his dealership from New Jersey two days later on July 14th. I can't say enough about how Mike took our situation on as a personal challenge to help us. He went the extra mile ,and through his efforts Balise Hyundai got the sale. Mike never rushed us and was never pushy. He was patient to help us work through our dilemma. In short, Balise are very fortunate to have such a tenacious, kind and pleasant customer-focused individual on their staff. Then we met Tony the Service Manager who did the install on the Saturday afternoon. Like Mike, Tony is very pleasant and focused on his job. With the help of one of his staff, Tony adjusted the cross rails on the Santa Fe to accommodate the cargo carrier, and completed the install. He installed it in record time and did it in exactly the time I was previously quoted when I purchased the cargo carrier. Both Mike and Tony are excellent employees, and Judy and I wish them well.Finally, we went and saw JJ the General Manager, and expressed how happy we were with the service we got from Mike and Tony. JJ was very nice and was very appreciative that we had taken the time to stop by his office and tell him. In conclusion, if people that are reading this review live in the Hyannis or surrounding area and are looking for a great vehicle backed by customer focused staff, then go check out the inventory and the folks at Balise Hyundai on Yarmouth Rd in Hyannis...if you are like Judy and I you won't be disappointed. ALL of the information I have provided in this review is honest and unsolicited. I took the time to write this because Balise Hyundai deserves it .

I was very fortunate to have discovered the listing for the vehicle almost simultaneously with its appearence, both in terms of mileage and price it met my criteria. Incidently, nothing else in the several thousand listings checked came even came close. I was equally fortunate in the dealership that listed the car. They were extremely helpful and staight forward from the outset. As a result I was comfortable making a substantial deposit without having even seen the car (I assumed perhaps incorrectly that I would forfiet that deposit if I elected not to purchase the car.) While apparently, there is alot more time consuming paperwork than I remenbered from past purchases the sales and financial person took the time to explain all aspects of the tranaction and in addition took the time to answer my questions. Where they where not familar or experienced in the area of my inquiry they brought in someone who was - for instance the mechanic who had set up the car. Although the car was 7 years old it seemed brand new without a blemish. I told a friend I felt like I'd won the lottery.As to writing a review in the dealer there would be no problem except that at that point in time my experience would be incomplete.

This is an update from my 10/31/2011 8:04:40 PM review. My original experience with this dealership (and corresponding review) was HORRENDOUS. The main reason being the individuals I dealt with ( Mike - Sale Mgr and David Cronin -Salesperson ). After the horrendous experience, Louie and John took on the relationship directly. It was a 180 degree difference in experience. They actually cared about doing the right thing for the customer versus doing anything to make a sale like Mike & David. Based on a new review by someone else, it appears that David is still doing it. Mike to the best of my knowledge, is no longer with the dealership.Had my only experience been the one with Louie & John, this would have been a very good situation from the beginning. They went to all lengths to make things right...and I mean ALL lengths. The vehicle we wanted was simply not available in the region so they found it in VA/NC and had it transferred up here to MA/RI at their cost to show me that they were not the dealership that Mike & David were poorly representing.Based on this... I would recommend doing business with them again BUT.... if you run into ANY issues.... contact Louie or John immediately. Don't deal with poor salespeople anywhere....including here.James the finance guy was also very personable and good to work with.

Lack of customer service and lack of communication from sales to customer. I was not told about the 398.00 dealership fee until the credit approval came back, 3 days after I first worked with the dealership. I received a phone call telling me the car was ready to go but not informed the car had a rejected inspection sticker until I walked in to pick up the truck. I was told may times by the sales manager he would check on the truck and call me right back, he did not. I was told I would received a full tank of gas and we only received 3/4 of a tank. When I asked what the tax, title and licence fees dollar amount would be my sales man said he would call me back with that info, he did not I had to find them on-line. When I mentioned this to the sales manager he said, you should have know what they are, you have bought a lot of cars on your life. I was not given a price break down sheet the first day I looked at the vehicle and I also did not meet with the business manager. The sales manager said, he thought I was in a hurry, thats why he did not have me meet with the business manager. The reality is, he never asked me if I would like to meet with the sales manager. I was told, "you know I am loosing money on this vehicle" by the sales manager.

My partner & I went to Balise Hyundai having done our research on line as to what car was the best suited for us. Our 91 Toyota Corolla had recently ended its long and useful life and among the cars that had made the finals were a few hyundai Elantras, excellent consumer report on all counts.We received fast and friendly help as soon as we walked in from John C. Crawley. We drove the choice car and saw another vehicle, a Mitsibushi that was also among the finals but a little too much mileage compared to the Elantra we were looking at. We decided that our choice was the right one and proceeded to the actual sale that was also fast and efficient. A few days later John drove the car to our home about an hour away. A very pleasant experience all around.

I love how right when you walk in, everybody knows who you are and they come over and greet you and ask how you are doing. Eric had sold me my car, and everytime I getmy car done at the sevice center he always asks me how I'm doin and how my car is doing. And always asks me why I'm gettin my car done to make sure my car is ok. Louie always comes up and asks how I am and to make sure my car is doing well. I love walking in there and them knowing who I am and remembering me. Nick is new but he is a really good guy, when he worked in the auto service he always greeted me with a smile and asked me how I was doing and what I needed to done for my car. Now he sells cars and everytime I walk in there and he comes up and talks to me to make sure my car is alright. But all together its been a awesome dealership so far, I go there for all my car troubles because I no that they will take car of me and no that I will be happy at the end of the day with my car. I don't really know the other people that work there but when I walk in they always ask me how I am and what is going on with my car because they remember me from the time that I bought my car. Thank you for everything that you guys do and I will recommend you to all my friends and family anyday.

This was my third Hyundai and second used car. This dealership, even though is over 50 miles away from my house, was the best place to buy a car so far. The sales people are not pushy, very nice and going out of their way to make the customer happy. I picked up the car with 24 hours from giving a deposit at 7:30PM a night before. If only the dealer were closer to where I live, I would take my car there for service as well.

The experience I had at Balise Hyundai of Cape Cod was exceptional. They were truly down to earth, with a "no pressure" atmosphere. I have never enjoyed the experience of buying a car, and I have to say, I really enjoyed it this time. I felt like I was visiting an old friend and did not experience the dreaded task of purchasing a car. I would recommend this dealership to everyone. People here are just so down to earth. They really gave us an experience we will not soon forget. There professionalism was exceptional and their family like atmosphere really made this enjoyable. We witnessed past customers come in for service and they too were treated with respect and dignity. The employees at Balise Hyundai of Cape Cod were just as attentive to the needs of those customers as they were to the customers purchasing vehicles.

Hello my name is Jocelyn O'neil and i recently purchased a 2011 Hyundai accent from Balise Hyundai in Hyannis, MA. My Saleperson was extremly nice and so was the general sales Manager. Everyone else there was very pleasant to me as well. My fiance and i were having alot of car troubles with our 2002 Nissan Altima and we needed to get a new car desperately. They were so good to us since our engine had died in the altima they even gave us a ride home and offered to pick us up the next day until my loans went through. They were so good to us about everything and i am very happy that we choose to go to balise rather then another dealer. My husband and I have enjoyed this dealership since we purchased 2 vehicles over a year ago. We bought our son a new Elantra and ourselves a used 2008 Tucson. I recently had the need to purchase tires for the Tucson and decided to stop into the dealership to investigate how affordable a new 2011 Tucson would be for us. From the moment I entered all of the salespeople were extremely pleasant to me. Eric Barros showed me vehicles on the lot and made the sale very easy for me. Louie Rezendes Jr(General Sales Manager) made the wait pleasurable and it was nice to see that the financial person was now James Tinsley who sold us our initial vehicles. Louie actually sent Eric to Dunkin Donuts to get me a coffee because they only happen to have flavored left which I do not care for. I also saw that an elderly woman who was waiting was hungry and they sent someone to McDonalds for them. It is this type of excellent customer service that makes people continue to use this dealership. I will(and already have) recommend them to all of my friend and family and anyone who should mention to me they need a vehicle. I had an excellent experience buying my Tucson from Judy MacLachlan. I met her when I was in the waiting room of the service department waiting for an oil change on my Sonata. Since I had my labrador with me, we struck up a conversation. At the time I was not shopping for a new vehicle but I knew if I ever was, I would certainly work with her. Shortly after that meeting, my daughter needed a new car so she got our Sonata and we bought the SUV. She has a great way with people, went out of her way to meet my needs. She even came by the house to bring some paperwork. I hope she is there when we are due for our next purchase!Balise should consider her a great asset to their sales team.

Went in to the dealership on February 5,2011 for an oil change on my 2008 Elantra and went into the showroom to look around and I was greeted very professionally from all staff. If i neede help or a cup of coffee, they were very nice. Ended up looking at the 2011 tElantra that was in the show room and took one for a test drive.Ended up falling in love with it and ended up buying it that day! I live on the Cape with few options which is why I visited Balise of Cape Cod. My father bought a huyndai four years ago and loves it and has not had any problems. Consumer Reports rates the Tucson very well in all categories. I had a few other cars in mind to test drive but only visited one other dealeship. Once I drove the Tucson I fell in love and didn't need to look any further. Judy, my saleswoman, was very nice and accomodating and eager to answer my questions even though I had only a few due to researching cars on the internet. After I decided the Tucson was for me, we worked closely with the Sales Manager, Louie (I can't remember his last name). He was very nice and upbeat and a pleasure to work with. Even my time with Jason, the finance guy, was pleasant and informative. I felt everyone was honest with me and not simply pushing me to buy a car from them. I had to go back to the dealership a few times, once to sign papers, second time to pick up the car, and a third time to have it inspected. Each time I walked in they all greeted me by name and still treated me as if that was the first time I walked in their door. They did not sell me a car and discard me. I would recommend this dealership to anyone interested in Hyundais regardless if the live on Cape Cod or not.

I was greeted warmly on my entrance to the dealership by James Tingley and offered a seat at his station where he offered me a coffee. He listened to my concerns and then proceeded to give me all the answers to my questions without trying to influence my decision for my visit. I was interested in trading in my 2005 Elantra for a newer model. The conversation was low key and comfortable for me as I needed to know what would be the best options for me. James and Jason in the business office made it a very pleasant transaction and I feel that I made the best decision for me based on their kind and wise counsel.I would recommend this dealership to anyone without any reservations. I have had my prior vehicle serviced here and have been more than satisfied with every part of the experience. The personnel are personable and make an effort to provide any information asked of them by me to help me enjoy my Hyundai Elantra. My experience was excellent in every aspect. I highly reccomend Balise Hyundai of Cape Cod. The sales associate (Tim) gave no pressure, just help and answers. The Sales manager (Louie) went above and beyond to get a good finance deal, the general manager (JJ) was very helpful and allowed us to take the car home to test it with our 3 teenagers. Also, as part of the deal, they agreed to fix several dings and scrapes on the 2009 Taurus X. After closing the deal, they took the car and sent it to have the body work completed. When I got the car back, it looked brand new! They certainly kept their word PLUS much more. I am very happy!

I bought a car in May and another in June both times great experience. I had an issue and took it took them and they took care of the issue right away. A 2011 Hyundai Senata and a 2004 Hyundai Senata for my daughter.
