I decided to trade in my Tahoe for an Escalade (I’ve been dreaming of one since forever). Auto Locators was the first place we stopped in, Amanda was great the experience was easy. We decided to shop around some more, and came right back because other places service was awful and their cars weren’t even cleaned! Needless to say, the experience was smooth, the service was great, and Amanda was extremely kind and helpful! I’m so beyond ecstatic with my purchase!!!! Highly recommend.

Terrible experience with this dealership. Rude people, no sense of customer service. The vehicle I was looking for was priced pretty high. When I have mentioned that to the lady I was talking to, she got pretty rude and advised me " to call back when my budget change" !!! And then she had hung up without waiting for my answer. That was pretty rude and disrespectful, and that even to a prospective customer....unthinkable. And also in the background a guy was using profanity which was clearly heard by me over the phone. I would buy from them even if they sell it for half the price.

Excellent car purchase experience. I was the middleman for my nephew. Product choice was expansive, no pressure sale, efficient time use, if looking for previous owned, then recommend a visit

Purchased a 2005 Toyota Sienna van. Van had some things I was aware of (poorly-repaired dent in right rear, sun-shredded paint, worn tires) but a number of items I wasn't aware of (leaky radiator, leaking differential, transmission cover clunk, and two leaky and rusted-on mufflers). We were assured at the time of purchase that the National Lifetime Powertrain Warranty would cover all parts of the drive train with the exception of things that need normal lubrication (oil change, etc). So even though we thought we'd probably be stuck paying for the radiator and the mufflers and the tires, we were confident that at least the differential would be covered. But alas - - NLPW didn't cover ANYTHING - - not worth the paper it's printed on.The NLPW contract is vague and allows the NLPW supplier to slip out of any attempt at paying you any compensatory $$. Their game (which is common, according to the car manufacturer) is to not honor the warranty if they can remotely assert they don't have to. We've now had our car at the local dealer for three weeks awaiting ANY response from NLPW, despite our regular calls to them. They failed to honor the timelines they give to us in sending out their "agent" (labeled by a witness as a "bozo") to our local dealer. In our case, (a) they told us when we first got the car that they'd cover the differential, but that we had to wait for three months with our faulty car before they'd cover anything; (b) they then asserted that we didn't properly do maintenance such as changing oil (which we had, and which we proved); (c) then they asserted that we hadn't properly maintained the "slip differential" in the 3 months we've had the car (but it turns out that our car doesn't even have a "slip differential", as verified by the car manufacturer); and (d) they then stated that that they don't cover the differential, since it's not listed on their vague contract. Our local contact said that he's used to such warranty companies trying to get out of paying, but this has surpassed even his experience.I'd love to know when the differential became external to the powertrain !!Auto Traders of Texas has not remedied this unfairness. The repairs we're now faced with actually exceed the car's worth, so we'll probably have to dump this one and start over.No more Auto Traders for me.

Took a three- hour drive from Oklahoma City to Texas and it was so worth it. Best cars, best service and best people! Friendly and helpful but not pushy coz their cars are the best in the market! We were helped by Mike very professional, did everything he said he'll do. My car was directly shipped the day after they received the papers from my bank! They made me forget the awful experience I had at the biggest dealer here in Okc!I'll definitely go back any time we need a car! Highly recommend them they're the best!

Amber is an absolute GEM! Her customer service is out of this world. She was quick to respond rather through email or telephone and very knowledgeable of the inventory. I am definitely not a hop, skip and a jump from their location and I am one that will ask an abundance of questions before I arrive to save on time on the lot. She was very patient with me, answered all of my questions and I felt very comfortable with her. A trustworthy person indeed. I hope to work with her again in the future when I am ready to buy another vehicle!

This is absolutely hands down the best car dealer I have ever dealt with. The customer service is 2nd to none and they stand behind their word. In todays world it is hard to find a company that is 100% focused on satisfying their customers, going above and beyond to ensure I was taken care of. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! Thank you Richard and Amber along with the rest of the Auto Locator of Texas team, will be seeing you in the future.

We have purchased our last four cars (Honda, Lexus, 2 Toyotas) from Auto Locators and could not be happier with the experience. Its gotten to the point where I just call and tell them what I'm looking for and they find one within the week and it is EXACTLY what I was looking for. The price is always lower than the competitors and the vehicle is immaculate. If you need anything added later on, they are right there to help. I can't see myself ordering another vehicle from anyone else. I'm a customer for life!

I have been buying cars from Auto Locators of Texas for the past 15 yrs. Each car is better than the one before. Richard waits until the best car is available at the best price. My last Lexus had very few miles, full factory warranty and looked like a brand new car. Everyone at Auto Locators in friendly, professional and very concerned about making my car purchase as seamless as possible. I would recommend them highly to anyone looking for a preowned car.

I decided to write this review about the Auto Locators of Texas because my recent visit with them was extremely pleasant and easy, pleasant enough to the point that I felt it necessary to write a review for them so that I could relay to others that they are the real deal. I have never purchased a car on my own before, so I was slightly nervous on my way up to Auto Locators. But as soon as I arrived, I was instantly taken away by the staff's cordiality, professionalism, and knowledge. Their pleasant professionalism erased any nervousness I had, and I'm very happy to say that within no time I left their business with a car I felt really good about. If there is anyone in the Plano area thinking about purchasing a car, you'd honestly be doing yourself a disservice if you didn't at least go check Auto Locators at some point. They'll give you a great deal just like they gave me, and they'll do it in a kind and professional way. What's not to like about that?

Richard and Amber were VERY easy to deal with....deal took about 15 min to complete. Richard was very good at getting car ready for next day pick up and they got fiancing done within a couple of hours. Their prices are near bottom, so not much negotiation, but they are VERY VERY easy, quick and nice to deal with. Great Job!

Amber is great to work with and handled everything to make it as smooth as possible. Rick was fun to sit down and talk about cars with. We both are car guys and my jealous he has built a great business that I wish I could have done. I will be buying/trading my next car with these guys again soon. Thanks guys. David N

This sums up my process at Auto Locators of Texas. I have bought many cars and never had gone through the process so easily. I was shopping for a car and was greeted with such a friendly staff. They never pressured me into a sale and I love the way they handled the whole process. Financing was so simple! When it came down to the paperwork, I was in and out in about 15 minutes. I thought maybe we had more to do, but they are efficient and very professional. I would recommend them to anyone!! I will definitely buy my next car from them.

My wife and I came in last week and we were not ready to buy. We met with Amber and the owner Richard and they helped us look at several cars and SUV's. They were not the typical pushy "Salesman". They were actually VERY laid back. After some research, we decided on the Toyota Sienna minivan. We came in and Amber actually beat our interest rate from our Credit Union. We were in and out of the dealership in less than 30 minutes. We will be back in April when my son turns 16 for sure!!! Thanks for such an easy purchase.

We were ready to buy a car and had two choices that we were very interested in looking at. We went to test drive one of them but the one listed at this dealership was "getting the radio repaired" and wouldn't be ready for a few days. We were patient and decided to wait to look at this vehicle before making our purchase. We called on the day they said it was supposed to be available and it wasn't. So we called the next day and they said it wasn't available but probably would be around mid-afternoon. So we called and again and this time we were told that someone had already put a down-payment on this vehicle a few days ago. It made us very angry that we had 5 days to look at the listed vehicle and it wasn't ever available to look at AND someone had already had a down-payment on it. Why was it listed for sale then and why didn't they tell us that the first time we called? Now the other vehicle at the other dealership we were interested in is not available. Needless to say we are very angry at the customer service and inaccurate information that was given to us.

My boyfriend (now-husband) purchased a car from Auto Locators of Texas several years ago and has always talked about the positive experience.I recently had the opportunity to work with Auto Locators of TX this year to purchase a 2012 GMC Acadia SLT. We were blown away with the friendliness of the staff and the owner, Richard. The business feels extremely well-run and organized. They are NOT pushy or "salesy" whatsoever. It feels like you are purchasing a car from a family member. The most annoying part of buying a car (new or used) is dealing with the sales people...getting stuck in a salesperson's office while the cheesy manager comes in and introduces themselves. Auto Locators of TX is completely different. You can view their inventory online and come in to test-drive a car if you wish. If you are looking for a specific vehicle, their specialty is locating cars, and they do this through the use of auctions. Richard will email you the cars that are available that week and will obtain the car you are looking for. We were able to test drive the car by ourselves. We noticed a small scratch in the leather, and they fixed it for us easily. Their prices are very affordable - less than a dealership & similar to buying from a private party direct (i.e. craigslist). Our car came with a CARFAX report as well. The financing process was easy and when we showed up yesterday to sign the papers, everything was organized & ready to go. We bought the car in about 20 minutes. Richard personally took the time to show us the car's cool features - like power liftgate, back-up cam & navigation, etc.One last thing that I should mention is that they can upgrade their cars w/ options like Navigation, Back-up Cams, etc - they can also tint windows - again, their prices are less than a dealership.I would absolutely recommend Auto Locators to friends or family. They are a pretty cool company, and I don't see myself ever going to a dealership. Ever!

Let me just say that I have purchased 4 vehicles from Richard, as well as had him sell one of mine. He does a great job at finding the right vehicle we need, plus he and Amber go the extra mile! That's not seen very much in the auto industry. We are very happy and always recommend our friends to them. They don't over charge, and offer great service. I think you'll be very happy with AutoLocators.

They post a toyota rav4 online and when I got there they told me its been sold....and even after a week, the car is still on the website. And when I said I want a test driving but I dont have insurance because this is first time I m going to buy a car, the dealer thought it was very funny and laughed...

I recently bought my 3rd car from Richard at Auto Locators of Texas. He has also sold 2 of mine. I fully believe RIchard is an honest guy and does his best to get fair prices both in selling my cars and finding me the one I want. Because I had some specifications that were harder to find on this last vehicle, it took some time for Richard to find it. I appreciated that he consistently communicated with me what he was finding, prices, and his opinions about the vehicles. I respect Richard's opinion and so patiently waited until he found my car that met all my requirements. I will do business again with Richard and have also recommended Auto Locators to my friends. Bought a used 2006 Nissan Altima 2 weeks ago. No negotiation on price, but it was still a decent deal. We have had many issues with the car, but we give high marks despite the troubles because Amber did everything she could even though she didn't have to; it was purchased "as is" and yet she helped us fix a few things after the purchase. To me that shows integrity. I would go back to purchase another vehicle. THANK YOU AMBER!! YOU ARE AN ANGEL :) In case anyone is curious as to the details: As a buyer I should have looked at the car more carefully. On the way home I tried to roll down driver side window, but it didn't roll down, though the others did. Hubby followed me home and noted that the optional tail light bar across trunk doesn't light. Noted ding in windshield I hadn't seen. And while I was paying for vehicle (yes, bring cash or checkbook as they do not have a credit card machine), they cleaned up the car quickly (it was closing time on Saturday), left some sort of white spray residue over front of black vehicle. Also idles sort of rough, though quick Google search shows that a low idle rate will cause vibration, so I will take it to a Nissan dealership to have it adjusted. Two days later the car didn't start; I jumped the car and it worked fine after that. The following Thursday I took the car back to have tint added, and I asked Amber Wise if she could have the battery issue and window issue looked at (and clean up the whitish spots on car); the rest we would deal with, as it was a used car sold "as is". (Admittedly the car window issue was my fault for not checking before purchase.) Amber was so sweet, she had her mechanic look at it. She called to say they added a new battery and the problem with the window was the motor; she checked w/the former owner, who said he would pay for half the cost of part if I paid the other half. I felt this was fair since I should have checked, so I was okay with that. The next day they found the issue was also with the window switch, so they had to order that, of which they would cover the cost. I picked up my car with 4 windows tinted & the motor & battery replaced, while they were ordering the switch. I would come back the following week for the switch replacement & driver's side window tinted. In the meantime, the new battery died. AutoZone told us the battery was not brand new, but several years old; however, it was still holding a charge, working fine, and something else is going on. At that point, I was very frustrated and just wanted the switch replaced and tint done so I could be done & then take it somewhere to look, thinking I had some power drain on the battery. When I took it back in, Amber felt really bad and wanted to have her mechanic look at it. So I left it another night. He says it was the broken switch drawing the power on the battery down. Yay! Switch was replaced w/another used one, which is fine - it is a used car, afterall. I picked it up Friday with the hope that it is all done. I paid the window tinting and 1/2 cost of window motor. Drove the vehicle last 2 days with no other issues. Hope the battery stays healthy :) The reason I give the high marks despite the troubles - Amber is absolutely a beautiful soul. She is well-meaning and I believe she does her best given the constraints with purchasing as-is used cars. She did not have to provide another battery, look at car, have motor/switch replaced...she did it because she wanted to be the best help she could. I WOULD ABSOLUTELY GO BACK THERE FOR ANY OTHER PURCHASE I need to make! THANK YOU AMBER!! :)

I've bought three suburbans from Auto Locators over the past 4 years. I've never been unhappy. Their process is very friendly and laid back; their prices are terrific. I would highly recommend Auto Locators and as a 50 something, I've dealt with plenty of dealerships over the years.Judging from some of the other comments on this site, I'd offer two comments. First, these are used cars. Used cars are never risk free, especially more than a year or two old, or when the car has more mileage. Second, trading in a vehicle is always problematic. You can't fault a dealer for trying not to lose money on a trade-in.Bottom line, if you know what you are looking for, stay with a newer model car and don't need to trade-in a vehicle, you can can a heck of a deal through Auto Locators of Texas.

This place is the worst dealer I have ever dealt with. My girlfriend and I went on the search to find a new car for her and she decided she wanted a two door Nissan Altima Coupe. Well we found one that appeared to be in good shape. So we went and checked it out and took it around for a test drive. Tested every single button in the car to make sure it worked. and sure enough she liked the car, so I did a thorough looking over and through the car; under the hood, under the car, making sure no frame damage, etc. I came across a section in the door which had some slight over spray on it, barley noticable to some one who doesnt know anything about painting. then also half of the pinstriping tape (dealer install stuff) on that side of the car was missing. So I put two and two together and knew that whether or not it was on the carfax or not, this car had been in some kind of accident. They refused to accept this, whatever; the car was still in good condition. Told them they needed to remove the rest of the pinstriping or re-do it before taking delivery of the car. Everything was fine and dandy. Then they decided to low-ball us on our trade-in (typical used car dealer stuff) saying that kia's dont exactly bring in the customers they want to deal with...(um what?) and that because they arent going to keep it on the lot and sell retail they will just be taking it to auction. Again, not a big deal. Signed all the paper work with the agreed price of the altima and the trade on her kia. Walked out 30 minutes later. Skip forward 4 days, and we get in the car after work and turn the a/c on and it isnt as cold as normal. We keep driving and its getting hotter and hotter, until the point where it is just fanning hot air out of the engine bay. Now we are irritated. So we drive it home in 100degree heat with no a/c at all. Once home we park in the the driveway and i get my guages and check the freon pressures, Almost no pressure. So basically these guys chocked it full of freon before selling it, knowing there was an issue with the a/c. Next day, we call the receptionist and tell them there is an issue with the a/c and this needs to be taken care of and that it is completely unacceptable. So they told us to bring the car in and they will take care of it. Well they said they took it to "their" mechanic who is not located on site and reports to us the compressor is bad. Now at this point I am royally pissed off. So the girl amber comes back with, "well rich says that he will only cover half of the cost to repair because the air conditioning in your kia is out" i asked for the keys to the kia to check this out, and sure enough I turn the car on and cold a/c within seconds. I come back in and told them they were full of it and that this is ridiculous. We took the Nissan and left after having waited an hour for them to bring the car from their "mechanic"I would NEVER EVER in a million years recommend that anyone go there. They are sketchy and shady and in no way pleasant to deal with. They would not tell us the name of their mechanic who would be doing any kind of work and that the half of the repair cost would goto him. I would never trust any body to do work on my cars that affiliates himself with these people.

Recently while searching for a used vehicle, I was referred to Auto Locators and reluctantly visited their location. I was pleasantly surprised at none only the inventory that they had to offer, but the friendly and knowledgeable sales rep. They seemed to address the specifics of the car that I was interested in and made sure that I was aware of certain aspects that I was unaware of. Financing the car was a pretty simple process comparatively. Is anything simple in this day and age? Anyway, I took the car back shortly after the purchase because I had decided to have the windows tinted on it. They got me a great deal! I have referred everyone I know who is looking in the used car field to visit them first! I love the comfortable sales tactics and not having a dealership full of hungry salespeople try their "expertise" on reeling in another sale.

I was shopping around for used Toyotas on Cars.com and came across Auto Locators of Texas inventory. I hit the chat button to inquire about a specific vehicle, they replied immediately and answered all of my questions. After a quick follow up call, I came in, test drove the vehicle (surprisingly non pressured) and was in and out of there within 30 minutes. Amber was able to beat my credit unions finance rate. After 12 emails with the saleswoman and even deciding upon a trade-in offer, I informed her that I would be making the 3 hour drive to Plano to test drive the truck and discuss purchasing it. As I was leaving my hotel that morning to drive to dealership to get there as they opened, I received a phone call from the saleswoman. She was calling to tell me that she was in the process of showing the truck to someone and would call me if it didn't work out. Thanks thanks... on the road again.

My husband and I have bought 2 cars from Richard in the last 4 years. Both Infinitis and both in great condition. The last car we purchased was an Infiniti M37X, fully loaded. We scoped out other dealers to do our due diligence and we found that no one could beat Richard's price for the amount of car they were offering. This dealership is extremely laid back with a very comfortable environment. No haggling, no pressure and easy purchase process. Amber was informative about the vehicle we were interested in and very patient in dealing with all our requests and questions. She was great to work with! What it really boils down to is the fact that I trust the quality of car this dealer offers and the information they provide. I would highly recommend purchasing a vehicle from ALTTX.

I went to this dealer to look at a SAAB 95. I had called and told the lady at the dealer that I would be there at a certain time on Saturday (since I live about 30 miles from their location). We arrived, test drove the car, liked the car and discussed the deal. I did have a concern about the car, SAAB 95 use premium gas and this one was knocking like it have been filled with regular. We did agree on a price, but when I tried to pay with my debit card, they said that they could not take it. I said I did not have any other way to pay for it. The lady said she had to leave by a certain time - maybe we could come back with cash. Or go someplace and get a money order (she called Wal-Mart to see if they could do this), but she again said she had to be gone by 3:30. NO offer to let someone else help us. We left and decided to go look elsewhere. Nice people, but take cash with you if you want to buy a car.

Very very friendly and helpful.....very hard to believe the negative reviews.I bought a 2007 Jeep from Auto locators1) ...they offered many upgrade choices at severely discounted prices using their wholesale costs. (wheels, tires, bumbers, lift kits, etc...) I actually looked them up online and found that they are much cheaper to buy from Autolocators.2) I live 3 hours away and they were willing to let me take the vehicle home and ship me the upgraded wheels tires I purchased when they arrived or hold them for pick up at my convenience3) 2 days after i purchased the vehicle I lowered the soft top and found some broken parts ($500+ for me to buy parts online) I made one phone call and Auto locators ordered the parts, had them within a few days....I didnt ask them to replace they offered to w/ no expense to me.4) I returned to the dealership where the parts were replaced same day and new wheels and tires installed free of charge.Ive purchased many cars....actually one of the best experiences Ive had and I will be back for the next one.

Visited dealership on 1/30/2012 to inquire on a 2008 Range Rover. Worst customer experience I have ever had. A wasted two hours out of my day. Staff acted as if my business wasn't needed. After test driving the vehicle I returned to find they had ran the VIN on my vehicle and were more interested in its history than telling me about the purchase I was there for. After asking questions about their purchase process I received no useful information. I left the dealership wondering how can do they business without showing any interest in selling to the customer. I got no substantial answers about their process and was told I would get a call in a couple of hours with information on how the trade-in process would work for my vehicle. I never heard back from them. The young girl I worked with was not friendly in the least, they didn't have information on file about the vehicle I was purchasing; basically the price was the only thing I knew via internet before and after the visit. They never even mentioned the cost. Also after test driving and looking over the vehicle it was apparent that little attention was paid to preparing it for a buyer. I have to wonder how they would treat a customer after cashing the check if this was how this is how they performed before the transaction.

RUN, RUN,Run to someplace else! This company has no service and treats their best customers like dirt! I purchased a 2008 Range Rover from Auto Locators of Texas, and three months later purchased a 2007 BMW X-5, from Autolocators. The X-5 had two cracked wheels and a tire that was dangerous to drive on due to a bubble in the sidewall. Autolocators gave me another USED matching tire and refused to replace the tire with a new $250 tire even though I had just purchased over $70,000 of cars in less than three months! In addition, Discount tire told me that they were scared to work on the cracked wheels and would not drive fast in case they fail! After numerous trips to the Discount Tire, and back to Autolocators, I had to purchase a matching front tire and finally got Autolocators to pay for a new front tire, so I could drive safely. ( I had to ask for payment, there was no offer to make things right)! As for the cracked wheels, AutoLocators was no help. They had to be filled with air every two days and I got no help whatsoever from AutoLocators! I was furious, and had spent way too much time trying to resolve the tire and wheel issues! The wheels were unsafe to drive on and AutoLocators Made no attempt to hold up even half of the cost.I have since sold the BMW, purchased a Mercedes from another dealership, and will never do business with AutoLocators Of Texas Again! Just talk with the snobs at t he front desk and one gets a bad feeling-no smiles! With this kind of service, they will be out of business soon! RUN from them-Don't even drive by-THEY ARE BAD!
