Just recently purchased a 2010 Acura MDX from Acura of Pleasanton about a month ago. The customer service there was phenomenal. The sales guy Michael Scott was awesome but not just him, everyone was very awesome and knowledgeable about the vehicles. They did not make me or my wife feel pressured at all into buying a car, they listened to all of our concerns, questions and more and made us feel that we not only could trust them but that they actually had our best interest in mind. There was a point where we were not going to buy and they said that's ok and just contact them later. We did about 2 days later and made the purchase. Purchase was easy and very fast. I love this dealership, definitely recommend them and we will definitely be using them from now on.

Second time we are buying from this dealer. First time was great a few years ago, but this time around is horrible. Sales person was not helpful, contract was re-done 3 times - finance person just couldn't get it right. Price was changed as well. Too many surprises!!!

This is one of the worse dealer I ever experienced.Just after he introduce himself, this guy (jim) start to keep asking me whether I would like to buy a car "today" and just give me the MRSP price for that. I showed him the truecar price he told me it was nonsense and he can only give me something several (not even specify how many)hundred above invoice price. I told him that I could not make a decision today, he started to tell me "whatelse can I do for you except give you a price?"Later on I got a costco price at Autowest Acura dealer with 500 lower than invoice and with 2 years free service. --- at the first quote with them.Stay away from this dealer!

Scheduling for service is a waste of time. I scheduled for routine service 3 days ago. When I went there this morning, more than 10 cars where is front of me to be signed in, yet only one man was processing them. Further, he was not friendly at all. I just left in frustration. We had service there in the past, but it was marginal at best. Reminded me of the military!I suggest going somewhere else for service. Note that not a single one of the other reviews for this dealership is positive as of the time of my writing.

I had the horrible experience of visiting this dealership for a friend of mine... I am a proud owner of Acura and believe in the brand very much and hence was totally taken by surprise that something like this could come up at an Acura dealership! We made an appointment to test drive a 2008 model car and then dropped by the dealership to then wrap up the deal... When we reached the dealership for the appointment, the store had already been closed and the people at the store had NO clue of who set up the appointment and other details. We went thru the whole grind of churning all information one more time and luckily managed to get the car we wanted to test drive.Test drive went thru fine and then negotiated on the price and after a series of back and forth discussions, settled on a price and started with the paper work.... 45 minutes into the deal while we were under the impression that we are almost done, the manager drops by all of sudden and tells us that we CANNOT proceed with this deal because the price they quoted was actually NOT for the car that we drove... the price quote they had provided was for a 2006 model TL.At this point not only was i shocked to witness such a thing happen, i was also thrown off considering the attitude and guts of these guys working at pleasanton acura to do such a gruelling act on a customer after spending a good 2 hours working towards wrapping up a deal.At an age and time when businesses go the extra extra mile to win a customer, it took me quite some time to grasp the fact that i was here at a dealership that absolutely did not understand the importance or manner in which they should deal with a customer!Pros: Close to 580 highway No other Acura dealerships in pleasantonCons: Absolutely NO Ethics in business practice Different employees will give u a different answer Information provided keeps changing every minute DO NOT stick to the commitments they make in the first place

We have been trying to negotiate for a 2008 Acura based on a quoted price from cars.com: of 27,900 (additional information below) Once we started talking to the dealership they quoted 31,900 for the same car and said we would only be able to negotiate if we went in to talk to them in person and only after test driving the car. We have already explained that we live over 4 hours away, and we're just looking to purchase at this point. We have been e-mailed by now 5 different sales managers, financing managers, etc. although, after this last communication is it very obvious that they do not want our business. We have been in contact with over 5 Acura dealerships in the area and by far this was the most unprofessional and disappointing experience. Calling in to get an appointment did not go smoothly. Called hourly from 8AM until 10 AM left two voicemails since there was not a live person available to take the call. Finally called a service rep I knew from a previous service call, and was given a time that same day. Dropping the car off was smooth, they pointed out that my headlights needed buffing which was a service I didn't know existed. The original reason for the visit was a Check Engine Light. This all took place at 6PM on a Thursday. No word on the car at 4:45PM the following day so I called in. Everyone busy, but a live person said someone would call me back (original service rep was on holiday). Long story short, when the back up rep finally connected with me an hour later, it was obvious the car had not been touched. Called back in an hour said I had a leak in my tank fill funnel, car should be OK to drive, no discussion on price to make it right, she agreed to waive the diagnostic fee. I asked to have the headlights buffed out, said no problem, it would be done on Saturday. At 1:45 PM on Saturday, no word on when it would be ready, I called in. A receptionist said someone would call me back. No one called back, I called in again, got the same receptionist who apologized, put me on hold, and eventually came back and said it was ready.Came by to pick the car up, it's pouring down rain. Paid the cashier, while the service rep said she would have it brought around. Waited 20 minutes outside, no car. Hunted down the General Manager who was out, expressed my concern to the assistant mgr who gave me the GM's card and the service rep's card. Waited another 10 minutes, and then loudly demanded my keys. Keys were given to me, went out in the rain, found my car and left.Sent an email to the General Manager outlining my concern around seeing the Acura brand so maltreated. Sent it return receipt, know he got it, zero response. So long as you are willing to do your own legwork and push the car through their system, the actual mechanical work is probably OK. I expected something better on the customer support side though from an Acura facility like this one, which these folks were unable to provide.

I live very close to the dealership. So when I was shopping 2007 MDX, I sent email asking for the quote. The reply came back one day later. The price in the quote was in the middle range. I told the sales that I had better quotes, and indicated that I would buy from him if the price is right because I lived close by. He came back saying I needed to show him the better quote, and used pushy words like "buy today?". I attached one of the better quote and told him that the earliest time of buy is the weekend in the email. That was it, I wait three days without hearing from him until Friday that he sent email again saying he did not receive my email and was doing follow-up. I replied that I sent him email three days ago with attached better quote from another dealer. Two days llater, another guy from the same dealership sent me email asking me whether I was still shopping for the vehicle. I told him I have bought the vehicle from another dealer and the sales from your dealership is not responsive. That was the end of the story

It sucks, no if ands or buts.Service sucks, customer service is sub par, and that charge, think about how much money they are stealing from you... Next time you go in, tell them you'll take your records home with you - - see what they say

I would highly recommend buying a new car from Greg Boynton at Acura of Pleasanton. To appreciate my experience, let me explain what happened at another dealership...At a dealership in the Santa Clara Valley, a salesman told me on the phone that I could not borrow a car (an MDX) for an extended test drive. "Against company policy," he said. But, he said, if I came in at 4:00pm, he would go with me on the test drive. So, I drove 35 minutes across town to find that he was in the middle of a sale and was not available. I understand the importance of a sale, but a simple phone call to reschedule would have been polite. However, another salesperson overheard this conversation and approached me with a "Borrowed Car" form. "No problem," he said. "Just take the car, drive it, and I'll see you back here in an hour-and-a-half." What happened to the dealership's "No Borrowing" policy? Pretty shabby customer treatment.Yesterday, I was at that same dealership where I was lied to, again. I was promised me a specific price for a new MDX with Acura's 3.9%/48mo. financing. The saleman had previously said that "On my word" this deal is available and was approved by a sales manager ("J.T."). However, nothing was ever put in writing. "Against company policy, until a contract is signed," he explained. When I went to the dealership, with money in my pocket, the sales manager explained that it didn't mater what the salesman had said - that deal was not available with the financing. He said that it didn't matter what the other "sales manager" had promised because he was not "in" today. On top of that, this manager's attitude was VERY rude! All I got was Lies, Lies and more Lies. Now, for the GOOD news! That afternoon, I went to Acura of Pleasanton and dealt with Greg Boynton. Not only did I get the exact car for $250 LESS than the other dealership's best offer, but also got the 3.9% financing and they will deliver the car from Pleasanton to my home in San Jose after the optional accessories are installed!Apparently, the deal I had been promised is available -- you just have to find a dealership where they treat you like an intelligent human being. Call Greg at Acura of Pleasanton and see if he treats you like I was treated. If so, you'll be very happy.
