Bought a Ford Escape!

We bought a used 2008 Ford escape here. Samuel was very helpful and understanding to our needs. The second day after we bought the car it had a check engine light, not qualifying the car for a smog inspection, but it was worked on and I was given a loaner. It was fast and efficient. Although I wish I hadn't been called in to make an appointment and I wish that process was taken care of on the phone. We got the car and the check engine light is off, but the AC belt has started to squeak, so we are taking it back this week. I am hoping that the issue will be repaired with no cost to us since its been less than two weeks, but we are under warranty, so i am hopeful that they will be fair to us.

Friendly, helpful and informed staff - not like normal smarmy car dealership. Winn VW treats their clientele like customers not like conquests.

As a background, my lease for a 2012 Golf (also from Winn) was expiring soon. Raymond provided very clear information regarding my lease ending choices. I ended up deciding to lease a new car. Overall, the process to close the lease was very quick and smooth. This is my 2nd experience with Winn. Raymond and the team great to work with to make the deal happen.

I shopped for a VW Golf online, checking in with dealers all over the Bay Area, up and down the coast, all the way to Denver. The most responsive, professional reply came from very close to home -- Winn VW in Fremont. Alex Shikhmuradov was incredible from start to finish. Honest, clear, informative and very, very helpful. We agreed to everything by email and he had it all waiting, the agreed to car at the agreed to price, when we arrived at the show room. My only complaint is the strong arm tactics used by their "finance manager" to try to get us to buy an extended warranty. 5 minutes for a $2K+ decision doesn't cut it for us. I highly recommend Alex at Winn.

My credit isn't the best, but qualified for a loan. They didn't try very hard to get anything better. The Banks and The Dealers are in it to bend over those with poor credit. They just pile on the extra fees...it's like kicking someone while they are already down. I know it's mostly the bank, but a little effort would have been nice. And Lastly, he made personal calls while we were there and then had a meeting with other employees. Our time was apparently as worthless as my credit.

I recently purchased a 2007 Fj Cruiser for Winn VW. I knew I was going to buy it after the test drive. The salesmen were not pushy and when I wanted a direct out the door price they had no problem getting the owner Jon Nguyen. His price out the door was better than all the other dealerships and online ads i had read. He also gave me a coupon for their extended warrantee programs and security auto etching. Once we started talking (like old friends not business acquaintances) I saw his desire to sell cars to people not only to make money but to make sure the buyer is happy. Nada Aldulaimi the financial director was also extremely nice to deal with. Everyone there is straight forward and really there to help. I have referred numerous friends told them to keep on his used cars for sale (if not looking for a VW), because going some where else to buy a car would be crazy!

I ended up coming here because I was discriminated against for my sexual orientation at Broadway VW in SF. The staff was very knowledgeable, kind, and respectful. I walked away with a brand-new VW Beetle convertible and couldn't be happier with my decision.

I purchased a vehicle from this dealership almost 3-months ago and I'm still dealing with problems from this dealership. First, my trade in was not paid off accordingly; the dealership actually owes me money back. Second, someone at the dealership apparently was joyriding in vehicle I traded in and going through the FasTrak lane, so I've recieved 11 violations to date, which of course I submitted back naming the dealership as the responsible party. Third, to resolve the first issue, I've called the dealership several times and they're avoiding me by not taking my calls or returning my calls. At this point, I'd rather be lied to than not acknowledged! Note: The dealership is no longer Bob Lewis VW and is now WINN VW. DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS DEALERSHIP!!!!!!!!

Sometime ago (2005?), fixed one part and then another part dead next day, went back 3 times. The manager I dealt with was just incompetent (full of nonsense from his "explainations"). Right now, pretty disappointed. Had a lease turn in and was told that the salesman, Sam, was authorized to do these. He looked at the car, "checked" it in and I purchased another from him the same day. PROBLEM: Sam is NOT authorized to take a lease turn in. Received early termination invoice from VW credit (after the car had been back at the dealer for 6 months) for $1322 for a bunch of damage. The car did not have damage when I left it there. Now, on my 2nd GM, John Nguyen, who is not good a returning phone calls and I'm not real convinced he's looked at this as of today. Does ANYONE have an email address for Bob Lewis? Called the dealer and the one they gave me isn't any good. Really disappointed. Have recommended them. John Phelan is great in service though.

I asked for a wheel alignment IF one was needed. Of course, they said they did one and charged me $300 for it even though the "Before" and "After" numbers were identical and the "Before" numbers were in spec.

I was also charged $125 so they could track a bad connector.

The car was in the shop for four weeks while they waited for a part even though I made the appointment three weeks before and they knew they would need that part.
