Responsive Sales Teamwork

I don't ordinarily post reviews, but I'll make an exception for what was probably the easiest new car purchase experience I've ever had. There was NONE of the dance that is all too common in my experience with other dealers.The car we bought, a 2017 Jetta, is the 6th VW we've purchased new over the years and the 3rd purchased from Wellesley VW. Our research was done online and we really had no need to test drive the car after five good experiences, so I sent an electronic message asking for price and availability for the specific car we were looking for. I figured it might take a week or two to locate the exact car we wanted.The salesman, Greg Medlar, responded within an hour or two with a very good price and a promise to locate one. He not only located one, but transferred it to his lot the next morning, less than 24 hours after my initial request. I particularly appreciated that he went right about the search without trying to first sell me one of the cars that happened to be in inventory. Our car search took closer to ten hours than ten days. Easiest (and quickest) ever.We came into the dealership to sign papers and deliver plates for transfer. Greg wasn't able to be there when we could come in, so substitutes were arranged to meet our schedule. We were more than capably served by a subbing sales manager and Kevin Mullen, who gave us the most thorough explanation and demo of the car's features I can remember when we picked up the car. In particular, when my wife's smart phone thwarted his first attempt to pair it to the new car, he confidently pressed ahead and succeeded on his third or fourth attempt. This alone probably saved us a couple hours and untold frustration. I know it's all in the manual, but his 30-minute overview of the car's features - did I mention that he's very thorough? - had all the basic information you could want and several really clever tips that we might never have found on our own.Overall, a really nice display of customer-responsive teamwork. Well done!

I was in the market to downsize back to a GTI as I had no need for a SUV any longer - went over to Wellesley VW after trying to deal with a few other VW dealerships that didn't seem very interested in my business as they either didn't respond to inquiries or insisted on trying to call me when all I had were simple questions.Worked with Mark Schoenhammer who was attentive, knew the product and was very helpful and a pleasure to work with. I've been fortunate enough to have leased two Volkswagens in the Boston area over the last 16 months. After not having the best experience going from my very old Audi into a GTI at a competitor in the area (lots of options around metro Boston for a VW) I found myself at Wellesley Volkswagen looking for a specific car they had in the lot. Awesome Andreas Becker At Wellesley VW

If you are looking to buy a car and have not considered a VW or a trip to Wellesley Volkswagen because you don't live nearby, you will miss out on the best car-buying experience one could imagine. This is my third car purchase at Wellesley Volkswagon. I talked with Marc Schoenhammer over many months, letting him know I was not quite ready, but last Friday I purchased a 2015 Passat SEL (pre-owned, certified). I am grateful to Marc that he was listening carefully as we looked at my 3 possible choices, and he suggested a car that was really what I was looking for, one I would not have thought of. I was very skeptical about the VW brand given the continuing revelations about the diesel fiasco, but my son urged me to at least test drive the Golf before I returned to Subaru to lease another Impreza. Jens Albrecht was our salesperson, and if VW can restore its luster, it will be because of the extremely positive experience we had with him. He was thoroughly knowledgeable about every aspect of the car, honestly answered my concerns about switching to a front-wheel drive from an AWD, put no pressure on us, and was a joy to work with. Plus he kept in touch about when we could expect to pick it up, and then after we did to make sure things were going well. The car sold itself--but Jens sold us on VW.

I recently bought a car at Wellesly VW from an awesome dude name Andreas Becker and he killed it. He hooked me up with a very awesome 2016 Jetta at a very very good price and jumped through a lot of hoops to get me into that car and on the road. Perfect dealer

There was a time to replace my 8 -years old VW Passat with a new one. Actually that is my second Passat, I like VW and decided to buy this brand again. I have visited a VW Colonial dealership located at Wellesley MA and wasn't sorry about this choice. I got a competitive trade-in price for my old car, and a good price for the new VW Golf Sportwagon (outstanding compact car BTW). MY son was looking for a new Golf R. Very difficult to find. This dealer had one. Let me preface my remarks with the statement that I have purchased dozens of vehicles in my years, most from dealers.This experience was not only pain free, but fast. In and out in 2 hours on a Sunday no less. Marc Schoenhammer was the salesman. There was little selling going on, more educating about the vehicle, and discussing finance options. No pushing or prodding. No games. And, he's a neat guy to speak with. We also met with Victoria, their Finance guru. What a pleasant, unassuming, smiling individual. Just tell what you want or don't want and it's done. No torture. Now I am a Mopar guy so it's unlikely I will buy a VW, but if I did, it would be from them. My son on the other hand, is thrilled.

Good Experience

I Bought a 2015 GTI from Victoria Bronchtin- she was very helpful and took me on a really great route for the test drive. During the buying process, it was discovered that the title to my trade in had some misinformation on it. Victoria worked her magic and saved us all a big headache! (And, I got to take delivery of my new car on time). After getting it inspected, I lost the receipt but Victoria was able to reimburse me despite my mistake. Overall she was very helpful, and went out of her way to make it a great experience.

I recently purchased a low mileage 2002 Boxster S from Wellesley VW. This was a unique vehicle as it only had 10,000 original miles. The dealership had recently taken it in trade. Given its mileage and condition it was listed at a substantial premium over the price of other Boxsters on the market. Marc Schoenhammer helped me with my purchase, showing utmost patience as considered several different models before settling on a Jetta. He was very helpful in working out a lease that I was very happy with. I would gladly work with him again. The right car at the right price

I waited a few weeks to let the initial excitement about a new car wear off a bit before I wrote this review. Bottom line, Kevin Mullins helped me get exactly the car I wanted - not a close match that was already on the lot. He secured an inbound vehicle and then made sure it came with the options I wanted, namely nothing extra. This meant eliminating many of the add-ons that allow the dealer to make a few more dollars. We then agreed on a very fair price. It helps to do your research before you buy! In terms of the facility, I'm glad to see they are renovating since most other dealers have much nicer facilities and customer ammenities available. I can't comment on the service department yet, but I am sure it will be more than adequate. Overall, I'm very happy and enjoying my new GTI.

This was my first time purchasing a car from a dealership and I had a great experience. Marc Schoenhammer was extremely friendly and helped us pick out a certified pre-owned Tiguan. The prices was good and we decided to purchase the car on Saturday and picked it up on Monday! We were extremely satisfied with the whole process of purchasing a Certified Used Tiguan at Wellesley VW. John Nesbitt not only found the exact car we were looking for about a week after our initial visit, he was amazing at walking us through all of the "bells and whistles" the car had to offer. Great orientation to my new VW

Just purchased a car from Wellesley VW and had a great experience with sales consultant, Kevin Mullin. He went over the features and operating information for my new vehicle and was very knowledgeable about the car. He walked me through the complicated infotainment system and fixed a glitch with the trial Sirius XM radio subscription. He was able to answer all of my questions and I left feeling that I knew what I needed to know to operate the car until I could spend more time with the manual. I found out during the process of shopping for a car, that several of the sales people I dealt with at other dealerships did not have a good working knowledge of their product line; and I was glad to have Kevin orient me to my new car. I went to this dealer with my boyfriend when he was searching for a new car. I was amazed by the service and how great some of the deals were on really nice Volkswagens. I was debating between the Jetta and the Golf and after talking through the pros and cons of both, Jens suggested the Golf. He was completely right, it is the perfect car for our needs. Great car-buying experience!

In today's car-buying world, you shop online, find the car you want and go buy it. Right? Well, we found a 2013 VW Jetta with about 22,000 miles and affordable cost at Wellesley Volkswagen. I was reluctant, mind you, having driven a Toyota Corrolla for 10+ years. But once behind the wheel of the Jetta, I felt an immediate shift in the way the car handled. It was a smooth ride and the salesman, Marc Schoenhammer, made the buying process a smooth ride as well. I was in the search for a used Passat and Andreas at Wellesley was as helpful as they come! Marc Schoenhammer provided the patience and expertise needed to help me hunt down the perfect pre-owned car. I couldn't be happier with it! I gave him a few criteria, and he kept an eye out for months, waiting for my car. I was also searching on my own, and I was afraid it didn't exist. After about 4 months (patience!) Whirlwind lease

My 15 year old Jetta finally went off to greener pastures, and I was in need of an immediate replacement. Working with Jens Albrecht was seamless. Honest, straight forward & no pressure

Andreas Becker is honest and straightforward. Buying a car from him was the devoid of high-pressure tactics. I visited once and decided to wait a bit before purchasing. When I came back, he gave me the SUV for a test drive, explained the product thoroughly,and waited for me to decide on purchasing the vehicle. The negotiations then were quick and to the point. He offered an excellent price on the Touareg and A very fair trade in value for my old SUV which was well used by my teenage children. As I negotiate for a living, it was an unexpected and pleasant surprise not to have to do so when buying this SUV. I recommend him highly.

Had a good experience with help from Charissa Benak and Jens Albrecht. Jens was good enough to point out a Jetta Sport that got me the same enhanced technology I was considering with a regular Jetta, but actually cost a little less.

Kevin Mullin was so helpful in finding me the exact model and trim I wanted. He is one of the many reasons this dealership is a great one. Other dealerships can't really compare.

Defective Key

My ordeal began when the key to my Jetta stopped working upon landing at Logan Airport. Since this is the only key I have, I called Wellesley VW to get a replacement. They told me it would be $160 for the key and just as much for labor. So in total it's over $300 dollars for a key. They also informed me that I needed to have the car towed from Logan Airport to Wellesley VW ($180). Now because I didn't have my car and it took them 5 days to get a new key made and programmed, I had to pay $480 dollars for a rental. All in, to get a key replaced it has cost me nearly ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS. If I had purchased a Mercedes or a BMW I would understand all of this. But I own a $25k Jetta and a replacement key costs me $1000???? I called VW customer service numerous times and they said there was nothing they could do. I informed them that if I am forced to pay $1000 for a key, I will never buy a VW again. They repeatedly told me they were fine with letting a customer pay $1000 for a key. As long as this is the case, I and none of my friends or family will be using this dealership or any other VW dealership in Massachusetts.
