Worst experience I have ever had from a service department. Would NOT recommend!!! Sat waiting for my car for 4 hours without any contact from the service people, when I was told the repairs would take 30 mins. To an hour!! Will never go to this dealership again!!!

We worked with a gentleman named Scott, he was professional, well kept, and knowledgable. He wasn't pushy and made the experience enjoyable. We bought a 2013 used Volvo XC60 and he did everything he could to get us a fair deal on a very nice vehicle. This dealership overall is perhaps the most professional i've dealt with in the 4 vehicles I've ever purchased. This process I generally dread was made bearable and even enjoyable. Also, the entertainment while you wait for paperwork was a loop reel of allstate commercials. Good as it gets. They earned a long time customer/referrer of business in one sale. I scheduled an appointment a month in advance to have a turbo replaced. Car was at the dealership all day and they did nothing. They did not call during the day to tell me they could not get to the car. I call that evening and they tell me the car was not done with no explanation or offer of a rental car for the next day. I have taken the car before and they have done quality work. Service is terrible.

7/14 /16 Driving to Washington DC on the Peltier Freedom Ride, my 1999 VW Beetle brokedown 15 miles west of Boise, Idaho. AAA kindly towed me to VW Boise. In 99 degree heat I arrived disheveled, frantic and tearful. I had little money and no patience left. Service Manager, Andrew Johnson greeted with a smile and a cool bottle of water. As it was 15 minutes before closing my VW had to wait until Friday morning for servicing. Andrew reserved a room for me at Motel 6 confirming their low price, and assured me he'd have me back on the road in no time. Friday morning he sent a truck to pick me and my dog up, and he gave me the verdict: a slipped timing belt and a shredded steering belt. (I could have had a major accident! Instead my Beetle just lost power and I pulled to the side of the road.) He worked with his mechanic, and applied numerous discounts, knowing my financial situation, and had me back on the road 24 hours later! He went above and beyond the call of duty to provide extraordinary service with an exceptional price! Thank you to you all at Boise VW!

Bought my son a 2005 VW jetta during the winter break to bring to school at Boise State. The car was inspected at my local VW dealership before purchasing the car. A few days after arriving in Boise, a low oil pressure warning light came on. My son got the car to the Boise VW shop and they determined that the engine had a significant amount of sludge and needed to have the engine flushed. During this process, they found that the CV Boots were spitting grease and it was found that they boots were secured with zip ties. Michael, the Boise VW service rep, was able to take pictures of the problem which I presented back to my local VW dealership that should have checked the CV boots as part of the prepurchase inspection. This helped me get a refund from the locat VW dealership for my inspection cost. The mechanic also noticed that there was a little bit of oil in the coolant so we performed a coolant flush. Since I needed to have my son come back a week later to get a second key programmed, Michael was kind enough to have the mechanic take another look at the coolant at no charge to ensure that we were not having an ongoing issue versus a possible mistake of someone putting some fluid in the wrong place. It is difficult to manage car issues remotely, but I found that the Boise VW dealership did a great job. Thank You!

If you are in the market for an Audi or Volkswagen, I highly recommend Lee Schel at Volkswagen Audi Boise. He knows his cars up and down and is an enthusiast himself -- I should know, he let me drive his own personal car for over an hour for a test drive! You just won't find service and treatment like that anywhere else. And you won't find a nicer guy than Lee, either.

I had only had my VW Wagon a couple of weeks when I noticed that it was leaking oil. Nick in the service department was so concerned. He ordered the part right away. I dropped off my car on Thursday the 11th and took the shuttle to work. Unfortunately the driver and I got stuck in a horrible accident on the freeway for over an hour. Never once was it akward or uncomfortable. He returned on my lunch to take me back to VW. Nick informed that, upon further inspection, it was determined that my car was leaking oil from another place and that they would have to keep it. He promptly gave me the keys to a loaner (2014 VW Jetta) and I was on my way. When he realized that the part would need to be ordered and that it would take a few days to complete the repair, he called me right away. I informed him that I needed a bigger vehicle to accomodate a table and supplies (for a weekend committment) and he graciously offered me another loaner (2014 Tiguan). I felt badly that the Jetta would not work for me that weekend, but Nick made no big deal of it. I drove over that Friday and exchanged. By Tuesday 12/16, my car was done. Nick was great. His concern and interest in me and my car was geniune and I felt that. All too often, in a situation such as this, you are made to feel like your issue isn't a big deal and narrowly do you experience someone who seems as concerned about your problem as you do. It was nice to feel that I had someone on my side and that my car would be repaired quickly and with care. Thank you to Nick and to those that worked to repair the issue. I appreciate you all.

I brought my 2013 Q7 in for service for some parts that needed fixed and parts that needed checked. As always, customer service is far above any I have experienced. I am always treated like I matter and provided a comparable vehicle to drive while my vehicle is at the dealership, which is very much appreciated. Also, while traveling in the Portland area, the oil light came on in the car and my phone call to Travis assured me that we would be fine until we could get it topped off. The dealership in Portland was amazing! Same excellent service and treated like Audi cares that you purchased their vehicle. Keep up the good work, it will keep me coming back!

After having owned a Honda Element for 10 years, I was about to buy a CRV. However, once I looked at the fit and finish of the Tiguan 2014 RLine, I knew this was the right choice for me. It was really Jeremy Swedelius's presence in your organization that made me want to come to the dealership to look around. I hadn't owned a VW product since I had purchased a brand new orange VW Convertible for Christmas, 1972. Rob Biknese did an excellent job of putting the right vehicle together for me. Andrew did a superb job of handling the delivery of my RLine. The addition of running boards finished the package perfectly. I love the way it drives and handles. In February, I was in to get my oil changed on my Beetle. I was told I needed tires. I asked how long I could possibly go and was told 4-6 months. Whew! She gave me a quote and I was on my way. In May, I was back for another oil change and was told my tire situation hadn't improved. I said I was hoping for a little more time. He said I really needed to get them before winter. Finally, August came along with a little extra money. I went to get the tires and they not only honored the quite from February, they beat it by a few bucks. I appreciated the fact that at no time was I given a hard sell. The service people knew the tires were expensive and gave me a real timeline. Now I have great new "shoes" for my Beetle! Thanks!

Each time I come to VW Boise's service center, I feel like everyone there has just been waiting for me to arrive! The staff is always so pleasant. I forgot my oil change coupon, no problem, I still received the $20 rebate. I am told what needs to happen, but never pushed into doing anything. I bought my 2008 VW Jetta from Boise VW 3 years ago, on April 20th, then moved to Oregon a month later. Because I now live 11 hours away from Boise, I was only able to take advantage of the 3 year concierge service which was offered when I purchased my car, once. I was planning a trip to Boise, but unable to get to Idaho by 4/20. I called VW Boise Service Manager, Andrew Johnson, and asked if he would be willing to extend the concierge service until May 31st. He said yes he would, which was an extremely kind and generous thing to do. I told him I needed to by a new set of tires as well and he assisted me in finding the best tire in my price range, even going a step further and letting me know the was a tire sale at the moment so I was able to get an extremely great tire which only cost slightly more than the acceptable, but not as high quality tire, I would have purchased if he hadn't told me about the sale. I purchased the tires in April. VW Boise held them until I arrived in Idaho for my service appt. on 5/28. VW Boise had sent me a coupon which allowed me to take advantage of the free mount and balance offered through May 31st. I was given a loaner car for the day so I could get to other appts, and my car was ready at 3:30, looking as pristine as the day I purchased it in 2008, which was no small feat since on the Oregon Coast, moss grows in crevices. Andrew Johnson and VW Boise bent over backwards to give me the best possible service and I couldn't be more grateful. Hands down the best customer and car service experience I have ever had.

I brought my 2013 CC for its 2-yr/20k service and the process couldn't have been easier. I literally drove straight into the service entrance, where I was greeted by very friendly and approachable VW staff. A courtesy shuttle was available, but I chose to sit in the customer lounge which was very comfortable and well-stocked with healthy snacks, bottled water tea, coffee, etc. Once the service completed (in less than an hour) I was provided with a thorough status on what had been done to the car and also reminders about tyre tread. I appreciated the timely feedback. Coming to VW Boise for a service is never an inconvenience - it's nice to be spoiled every once in a while, and the VW Team nkow how to do just that for their customers. A 10-out-of-10 :)

Recently purchased a Certified 2013 A3 Quattro in Los Angeles from a dealer there after pursuing this model locally for several years without success. Brought the car to Boise VW/Audi for 5,000 mile service and was treated with great courtesy and prompt service. Was delighted to find that this first service was provided free of charge. Being from McCall, which is a two hour drive away, I was pleased to be able to make a service appointment on short notice. The work was performed promptly, and the car was returned with a fresh wash. I bought my certified used car last spring and it had some hard water stains that were covered by the Zurich shield I purchased, and the locking gas cover was broken and would not lock. It appears that someone broke it trying to steal my gas. They was also a manufacture defect. The nubs that the trunk cover hook to keep breaking, I think this is a design flaw. They needed to keep the car for a few days to get the gas cover painted to match so they provided a loaner car. I got my car back a day earlier than promised! Yeah! They scheduled it at my convenience and were very courteous and helpful. I think it will be a long time before I need another new car but I will definitely shop at Boise VW/Audi.

Warning the new car you buy here may have had thousands of dollars damage (up to 6% of MSRP). I noticed the front fender on my new touareg didn't look quite right, after some inquiry found out the car had $1805 in repairs. They definitely tried to hide this. Think twice about doing buisness here!

We got toed to VW dealership in Boise Idaho, we talked with Zoran in the services department he treated us very well, took care of us. The parts took a couple days to come from California and as soon as the mechanics could get to fixing our car, they got right on it and had us out the door. We went into the buying experienced after having thoroughly researched just about every make and model of car that is out there. We wanted something that was both nice and had good long-term reliability ratings, and were willing to pay more money if we could achieve both of those points. If you research cars, you will know that Volkswagen or Audi, while sharp looking cars, have poor reliability ratings, and so we were considering a (used) car that was from neither of these manufacturers. We identified the car we wanted online, and drove to this dealership with our minds up pretty much made up that unless something appeared terribly wrong with the car- we were going to buy the car. From the beginning, the staff is friendly, and it would be disingenuous not to acknowledge that. The test drive went fine, the car looked great- and so we proceeded with the purchasing experience. This dealership is apparently a non-negotiating dealership as well, which is nice because you don't have to sit there while the salesman goes back and forth "negotiating with their manager." The very unpleasant experience began when they laid on the pressure to buy an extended repair warranty package. All of a sudden this exceptional car they are trying to sell you, turns into this repair-trap, and you are certifiably crazy not to protect your purchase with this "amazing" opportunity they are offering you (for only $2-3k). This when it became very apparent that while they may not make commission on their car sales, they do with their extended warranty sales. After we declined the extended warranty package (from a third party company- who was many reviews on Rip-Off Report), the demeanor of the salesman completely changed. You could tell he was irritated with us, and not only did we have to put up with his attitude, we also got the third degree from the clerk he handed us off to sign the final papers. She was "shocked" that we declined the offer. By the end of the experience, we were so ready to get the heck out of that place, and avoid dealership purchases in the future. In summary, we purchased a nice car from this place, and were happy with the purchase price. If you are ready to stomach the sales pressure of the extended warranty- then completely go to this place. My family and I, however, are conscientious consumers, and knew exactly what we needed in a car. It was hard conveying to our salesman that we knew what we needed- better than he did.

They gave me good customer service one's we finalized the price of the car. To get to that, it was not really a process as their pricing method was clear throat. You accept it or don't, so no "real" negotiation process for the price of the car, and as someone old me some people appreciate that and others don't so now you know.

I was in the market for a new Audi and when I contacted the dealership the first thing I noticed was that the majority of managers (the general manager, sales managers and the service manager I have done business with in the past) are no longer working there? Apparently the owner now has his son running the dealership - and it shows.The people I spoke with were not helpful, they refused to discuss anything unless I came to the dealership and I was genuinely offended. I called another dealership, told them what car and equipment I wanted, negotiated a great price and two days later I was picked up at the airport, treated to lunch. and I drove back to Boise that afternoon! I wish I could offer something kind to say about this dealership - but it is what it is. The frequent turnover of staff and management, the terrible customer service and the poor reputation that this dealership has earned says it all. Unless you have money to waste, or are simply not concerned about business consistency, transparency and integrity, I do not recommend purchasing anything from this dealership.

I found a 2011 Chevy Traverse for a couple thousand under bluebook. I took for a test drive and enjoyed it. The Saleswoman Mollie Messner was excellent, no pressure or funny tactics, I even met the sales manager Jenny. I wanted to trade my 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 4x diesel in. The offer they made me was very reasonable, more than expected. We made the deal and signed the paper, easiest 4 hrs buying a car ever. On the way home I could hear a funny noise like rubbing coming from the front end. I called Mollie and and took the car to dealership to let technicians check it out. The let me observe the whole process and even hear the noise myself. The said they would fix it and make it right. The gave a me a 20133 loaner VW Passat and delivered the Traverse to Peterson Chevy( parent store) for repairs, a few days later got call it was fixed(Front transfer case) and covered by 100k warranty. They dropped me off at dealer to pick up my ride. A few days later aprox 60 miles the traverse went into limp mode while the wife was driving. I called Mollie who put me in touch with Jenny. She said will bring a loaner car out 2013 Passat to me at 7pm and have a towing service pick up the traverse in the morning, they did. I got the car back and they paid for the repairs $900 worth that would have been covered under warranty( fuel injector) All is well, they have been outstanding in the whole process when they could of just said you have to pay half under the 50/50 warranty, but they didnt. I did help them sell me truck to a friend of mine who called to late after I signed the papers. Very unusual to work or speak with Sales Manager.. they have done very well by me and I will look to buy from them in future , you cant beat the service.Thank you, Thank you, Thank you

We decided to go for a used Tiguan over a new one because of price and the quality of the Certified vehicle. Would definitely recommend VW Boise to anyone looking for a new or used VW or Audi. I purchased a car from VW Audi two days before Thanksgiving, and it went better than I ever could have imagined. Trevor was the most honest and stand-up salesman I have ever met, much less had met in my 48 hours of non-stop car shopping. He treated me like I was a friend, not a walking pile of money. Throughout the entire process he not once attempted to push a car on me, rather, he allowed me to find the car that was right for me, and bent over backwards to do everything he could to make sure I was 100% satisfied. I ended up selecting a 2008 Subaru Outback that was in great shape. It had a few scratches on it, was missing the cupholder, and needed a window seal replaced, but was virtually like new aside from that. Rather than sell me the car as was, like I expected, Trevor and the great folks at VW Audi had the scratches buffed out, a new cupholder ordered, and the window seal replaced. FOR FREE. No hidden fees, no increase in sticker price, nothing. What was on the sticker before I arrived on lot was what I paid. But their great service did not end there. Because the window seal replacement would not be completed in time for me to take it off of the lot that day, Trevor himself hand delivered me my car to my doorstep the day after Thanksgiving. I was amazed. I know companies that wouldn't help you replace a flat tire if it happened ten seconds after you purchased it. Trevor went 100+ miles out of his way to bring me my car. It took customer service to a whole new level in my eyes. Trevor and VW Audi treated me like I was family, and the second I need another vehicle, I know where I will be looking. I cannot recommend them enough.

We recently shopped at seven dealers in the Boise/Nampa area for our car. We bought from VW Audi in Boise because it was by far the most pleasant expereince we had! The salespeople were knowledgeable, not pushy, and treated us like royalty throughout the experience. Our salesperson was Gabe Ruiz. He was great,and very patient. We came away with a car that was just right for us. We would recommend that dealership to anyone!

I have had awful experiences in the past with car buying, however, after working with Trevor I will never buy from another dealer if I can help it. He and the rest of the team were honest and easy-going. I never felt like I was being bullied into making a decision and Trevor really listened and took into account exactly what I was looking for. Trevor is the type of car salesperson everyone wants to know. Smart about his products, driven to deliver an A+ experience, and motivated to make it happen. I went to another dealer before VW to see about getting a new vehicle. They wanted to HAGGLE non stop. I went to VW Boise because I remembered their sales people aren't commissioned and don't pressure like other lots. I walked up, saw the vehicle I wanted and had it by my birthday. Fantastic.

I wanted to buy this particular car, then they said they had sold it to someone else, who hadn't paid for it? then another person says oh, wait, yeah we will sell it to you. The used car manager actually complained about working a few minutes later to appraise my trade in! The appraisal was way, way off. When I actually came back the next day with a check from the bank, I guess they thought I was serious now and gave more on the trade. While I was signing the paperwork, another salesman came and complained and made a sarcastic "oh...so you're they guy they sold that car out from under me for huh?". Talk about awkward. I've never had a place whine about selling a car. If they have issues, it doesn't need to be the customer's problem.

Not sure what happened in the other reviewers situations, but my experience w/ Boise VW Audi was awsome! I'm so glad I didnt let the other reviews scare me off!! Mike Taylor & his accociate Heather made buying a car a breeze! The were both attentive & friendly! I felt like their #1 customer & top priority while there! The price was fair, they answered all my questions, gave me exactly what I wanted for my trade-in, got me an even better loan interest rate than the loan I walked in with & filled the tank before I left! Best car buying expierence ever!!!

This is the worst managed dealership I have ever considered buying a car from. I sent a letter to Volkswagen and Audi and told them how terrible customers are treated and how the dealership is hurting the reputation of the cars they sell. I agree with the other person who evaluated this dealership - the cars aren't worth the games that they play here. I bought a new Jeep Wrangler instead of an Audi and love it!

The VW/Audi dealership in Boise has a bizarre buying practice. They brag that their prices are non-negotiable, and the, "best" price, yet the prices go down according to some super secret scale according to how long the car sits on the lot. So, this can and did happen to us. You can have the exact model car you want, minus say, the color, and it's been there awhile and the price is lower. Then they can have the EXACT same car sitting next to it, in the color you want, and the price is several thousand dollars higher because it hasn't been on the lot as long. Then they won't work with you at all, and you either have to wait, no one knows how long for the price to go down, pay their price, or spend 5 figure $$$$ on a brand new car in a color you don't want. Whatever. I would pay to see another VW dealership move into Meridian or Nampa and give these guy's some competition. Sorry, not gonna play the game. Bought a LOADED Camry, less money, color we wanted, and we weren't jerked around. Ticked off in Caldwell

We visited this dealer ready to buy a 2012 VW Jetta Sportwagen base model we saw listed on their website. When we got there, we were told that it was sold and that they might get another one in two weeks. And then we were told no, maybe 6 weeks, or maybe 5 months, or no, we don't know if we'll get one. There was no alternate offer they had or any additional help offered to us, standing there ready to spend over $20,000. I would not recommend them to anyone.

The Boise Volkswagen and Audi dealership was a good place to purchase a car or SUV - Now, I rank this dealership as substandard and do not recommend that you purchase a new or used car from this establishment. The managers, business practices and pricing are a joke. Customers are patronized and treated with a level of contempt that assures a poor auto buying experience. If you are interested in buying an Audi or VW I recommend you look at the inventory in Salt Lake City, Eugene Oregon, Portland and Seattle areas. You will have a much better inventory to select from, you will get a better price and you will save time and your dignity from shopping at the Boise dealership.

This dealership is successful because of Mr. Tony Pichly - the general manager - and the staff that he has hired to manage, sell and service Volkswagen and Audi. Few dealerships in Idaho understand that this is a people business - This one gets it. VW and Audi are truly excellent vehicles with great performance, mileage and solid resale value. I have owned 13 new Audi's and VW's in recent years and will not purchase a domestic again (Chevy, Ford, etc.) - they depreciate terribly!
