Not as good as it used to be
I first came to this dealership in 2011 and was very happy with the purchase of a 2011 Nissan Altima. Brett Livingston was my car salesman and he was awesome. Then I had my new car serviced at the dealership and was blown away with their customer service and pricing. I had decided that this was my dealership going forward and would not purchase a car from another dealer. They had earned my trust and loyalty. I came back a few years later and purchased a 2014 Nissan Altima. I was less happy with this purchase and salesman, do not recall who this salesman was as he was unimpressive. Mr. Livingston was no longer in a salesman position. The final financing guy, selling a warranty after the deal had been made, was pushy and insulting and almost cost the deal. Since that purchase, I have returned for service. The service dept has also declined. Now, they try to push unnecessary service and parts on you, things that were done on my last visit. Usually, they will offer some compensation after things have turned hostile. I used to love coming here and would trust what they told me to take care is by car. Now I have to verify everything they say, do independent research, and fight for a fair price and service. They are losing my loyalty. I personally have purchased two cars from this dealership and have referred others. One person I referred has purchased two vehicles on her own and has brought in three family members who purchased at least the vehicles from this dealership. If the decline in customer service continues, this kind of loyalty and referrals will also decline.
Went in to service my 2015 Nissan Murano and returned home with a 2017 Pathfinder instead! Brett Livingston and Chris Roman teamed up and arranged to drive me home, in the new 2017 Nissan Pathfinder, to pick up my husband so we can both complete the paperwork at the dealer together. Amazing and outstanding service!
Bought a Nissan instead of an Infiniti
The sales department was great and they went out of their way to work with me so that I could purchase the car that I wanted.

Trade In Vehicle
I am always satisfied with Nissan, I have always had a Nissan Vehicle. I went in on a Saturday to service my Murano and I ended up trading it for the Nissan Maxima Platinum. I had purchased the Murano as a family car but unfortunately I lost my spouse this year. I decided to go back to a sporty yet classy vehicle. Bakari Smith was extremely nice and caring. He really explained a lot of the features on the Maxima in which I was impressed. He also stated that I can always call upon him for further help understanding my vehicle and its feature that was extremely nice of him. I am happy and would also recommend Nissan to anyone. Great ending but with some hiccups along the way
The offer I received online was initially lower than what they wanted to give me at the dealership. Also the factory installed options that I was told were on the car did not exist. But in the end, I got the price I was looking for which included a reduction due to the lack of options.
Customer Service after sale
I purchased my 2015 Nissan Rogue in October of 2015 and I was helped by Robin Johnson who for some reason is no longer there...a true loss for the company. I had my car in for servicing 4 times, two of which were because the rear window leaked and it took them awhile to get the part and have it fixed. The other two times were for an oil change and and oil change and tire rotation. I was in need of another oil change/tire rotation but that is even questionable because my service light came on 1,500 miles before what the service sticker said. I checked for coupons, since I am on a fixed income, the oil change alone was $32.99. I clicked on the link for chat on their website and asked if there were any other specials and was told someone from the service dept. would call me back but that never happened. I checked out Reed Nissan and they had a coupon for oil change/tire rotation for $29.99 so I once again contacted Universal and asked if they would accept the coupon and was told no. I took my car to Reed for the servicing and contacted NissanUSA to file a complaint. At Reed they did the oil change but they could not do the tire rotation because my socket was missing and their master set did not have the large socket needed. Since my car was serviced at Universal I called and left a message that I would be coming to pick up a socket because mine was missing and they were the last ones to access the wheels. On my way to Universal I received a call from the service manager saying "I understand you are having an issue and I would like to help resolve it" and I said what issue...the fact that you would not honor another Nissan coupon or that my socket was missing when the other dealership tried to do the tire rotation. He said he would give me a new socket when I got there. After he got the socket for me I said this whole mess could have been resolved by your honoring Reed's coupon and he told me the best they could have done was $32.99 for the service BUT they never gave me that offer or I would not have driven an additional 15 miles to have the service done elsewhere. I get back to Reed and as they are doing the tire rotation I checked my email and and hour and a half before I went back to Universal there was an email with coupons...one of which was the tire rotation and oil change for $29.99.I paid cash for my vehicle and I purchased an mfg. extended warranty which I wanted to cancel so I called Universal only to get an answering machine for that dept. and some guy name Chip who said he could not get to the phone but leave a message and he would get back to me...I waited 3 hours and called again and got the same response. Today I will drive up to Universal and request a refund of my extended warranty in person.At this point I am through with Nissan and have decided to trade my vehicle in for a Toyota and I have already began my search. I had two Toyota's in the past and should have never gone to Nissan! The only thing that Universal has going for it since Robin Johnson is gone is Jackie Trucksess who is the service concierge.

WORST Customer service
I feel it necessary to post how unhappy I am with the service department at Universal Nissan of Orlando. On July 18, 2016, I had to take my Versa Nissan in because the shifting cable broke and needed to be replaced under the extended warranty. Mr. Jorge Prada-Service Consultant took care of us and told us that our car would be ready in two days. Three days went by and no call, therefore, I decided to give Jorge a call I was then told that the part had to be ordered and it was in back order. I then requested a rental and he said he needed approval from his manager Tony. I was approved for 5 days paid by the extended warranty. And 5 extra days paid by them. Two (2) weeks went by and I had to return the rental, otherwise, I would be charge $35.00 per day. Jorge Prada told me the part would be coming from Japan and had no idea when it would get here. It could take up to 6 months and if I didn't believe him to call myself. That's exactly what I did the next morning and to my surprise the first dealership I called was at Merritt Island and they had the part there! You could imagine my frustration having to wait all these days and Jorge Prada, telling me the same thing over and over. After several attempts trying to contact Jorge to let him know I had found the part in FLORIDA. He wasn't a happy camper. Of course who would be if someone else is doing his job. He then gave me the part number and had me call the other dealership to confirm that was the correct part. Once confirmed, I had to call him several times before getting in touch with him and he said I had to be patience. I told him I had be patience enough waiting for the past 16 days. And he hung up on me without any explanation. I immediately contacted his manager Tony and told him how disrespectful and unprofessional Jorge Prada was. People like Jorge Prada should not be working as a consultant and/or customer service. I definitely believe he should be retrained. As well, as everyone else that couldn't locate a shifting cable in the State of Florida. When my car was finally ready to be picked up after 3 weeks I went directly to his manager and completed all paperwork with him. I understand when parts are in back order it takes time. But, when you don't do your job correctly and the customer has to their work. Seriously there is a problem with your personnel. I would definitely retrain all employees. Sorry, but I wouldn't recommend this dealership to anyone.

My experience at the Universal Nissan at Orlando was unbelievable my situation was hard i just had a total loss vehicle and Hiram and Fidel made it possible to get me on My 2016 Pathfinder it is amazing my payments are where i wanted and they made it possible. they went bove and beyond expected i really thought it was not going to be possible but i was wrong. The way the service was since we got to the dealer was excellent till the time we got out i really recommend these two gentlemen's they really know how to help. :)

Still in disbelief
I have had my share of car shopping and they were all full of hope and false promises. I have never had both a salesman and manager deliver on their word and work hard to ensure that I was 100% satisfied. My salesperson was Ruben. Throughout the whole deal he was positive, confident, and determined to get the deal done. Besides, he was more positive then I was. I have nothing but great things to say about this dealership. From the time my husband and I arrived until the time the deal was completed nothing but excellent customer service. When the deal was done I was so shock and in disbelief, because as I said I never had a dealership to work as hard for me. Not to mention, allowed me to negotiate a payment that was comfortable for me, pick out the color that I wanted, choose the style of vehicle, and then take home a brand spanking new 2016 Nissan Sentra with 0 miles. Yes, you heard me. This is one dealership where it is about YOU, not the salesperson making money off of you. So, getting back to the end of my visit. Once the deal was done, my salesman and I took a photo of me and him standing next to my brand new car. Still in disbelief! He also took the time to program my phone to my car to allow me to listen to my favorite app, Pandora. Not to mention, the car came with free XM radio for 3 months. Ruben and the dealership have called me several times to see how things were going and to let me know should anything arise don't hesitate to contact them. So, for those of you who are wasting your time with the naysayers please go and see my friends out at Universal Nissan. You will be glad that you did! I sure am..
I have always been Team Nissan! So naturally when it came time to purchase a new car, I decided I would stay with what works, I purchased my 3rd Nissan Altima (in a row). Nissan is a brand that stands above the rest and I have always been a proud Nissan owner. However, I have to say that my buying experience this time around blew me away. I met Willie Mendez at the dealership after work one day, within a few short hours I was riding home my beautiful 2016 Nissan Altima. Such a great experience we bought 2 cars! No, high pressure. Very upfront and honest. Our rep was very patient with us. After choosing our cars, we dealt with Adriano De Oliveira for finance. He was able to call us the next day and let us know he got us an even lower interest rate, added a larger warranty and tire warranty!
Girl Frien wanted a newer car
A year ago I bought my Girl Friend a Hyundai Tuson 08 and now she wanted into a newer car so we went back to Universal Nissan and delt with John Dias and he was very good with sales and after we had looked at a Jeep Patriot 2015 he got us a really good deal with our trade in. Genuine, Respectful and Patient
When I went to Universal Nissan my anxiety level was through the roof. George Velasquez was the dealer assigned to assist me, he had no idea what he was in for. I went directly after work and knew I wanted a sunroof. He showed me car after car but nothing grabbed my interest. I told him after a good nights sleep I will return, he didn't believe me. The following day I returned rested, not only did George do his homework to get me my sunroof but he found a way to get me in a new 2016 Nissan Sentra fully loaded for the exact amount I wanted monthly. His professionalism is definitely an asset for Nissan Universal. I would referr my own grandmother to George. Above and Beyond makes a customer feel appreciated and valued. Thank you!

Service fell flat on their face...
2 days to perform an oil change with a early morning appointment on a new car, pathetic. Also, just called and my warranty replacement armrest is in, first appointment is 4 weeks out for an armrest swap. C'mon Universal Nissan, who has the time for this? Why would a customer want to purchase a vehicle from here when the service is so bad? Disheartening
Bought a new car nissan versa in 2013 was a nice car for 3 years. Then had nothing but problems with it. How does your ac go on a new car 3 years old and only 44,000 miles. Think it had a bad cheap fan in car to begin with also think car had problems and management didnt care
We went to check our Nissan Rouge and the lady in the front desk to us to do a walk in. Well we did and they told us to leave the car overnight. And needless to say we went the next day at 4:00 pm and they didn't have the courtesy to call us for follow up. Well we went to pick up the car because we needed for work. And they didn't hesitate , to the contrary they were happy to return the car without even look at it. The service are of Umiversal Nissa. Us the worst service in the Orlando area. I would never recommend anyone to go there. Thank you for nothing !!!!!

don't honor what they promised.
When I purchased my Truck on 2014 they told me I can do a car wash when needed. I did use this service at least every other month for about 1 1\2 year. Suddenly they stop offering this swevice without advise customer. Service manager was arrojan when I try to get and explanation from him. I did ask for general manager ans and what I got a worse customer oriented person. He told me that it was a courtesy from the dealer and they were not obligated to do that. It looks that service department it is a contractor company that don't really care service after sales. I had been doing all the maintenance with them, knowing that they are expensive but not any more. I really don't like they are aptitud. I wont recommended this dealer to any relatives and friends just because of their service department.
Car dealer or preacher
I visited this Nissan dealership looking to purchase a new vehicle. I was assisted by an older guy who seemed more interested in talking about God and gender roles to me (even after I told him I wasn't a Christian and did not attend church). The experience was horrible, he took me to a vehicle I didn't even like insisting that this would be more "feminine" of a car for me. This dealership wasted two hours of my time. Not to mention I was made to feel very uncomfortable with this bible thumping car salesmen. A friend of mines also had a horrible experience in buying a car from this Nissan as well. Purchased my new car from Kia right down the street where the experience was so remarkable I brought 2 more friends who are looking for car. Don't let these fools waste your time here.
Customer Service & misrepresentation
I've called many times about my vehicle that was purchased in Nov 2015....many issues and promises not kept and no return calls to find out what is wrong!! They totally don't care or have customer follow up after the sale...I will not ever do business with them or refer anyone!! Beware!!!!

My husband and I purchased a car on 12/27/15 from Universal Nissan and we were told that we would receive a $25 prepaid giftcard for test driving a car needless to say not only did we test drive a car but we purchased a car. My husband called the sales person the next day to inquire about our giftcard and we were told that they wasn't going to honor the giftcard because we didnt sign up for it in the internet before coming. That was the craziest bunch of bull crap I have ever heard especially when we was never told that in person when we filled out for the giftcard in the dealership and received a redemption code. I will never do business with Universal Nissan ever again. Its really not about the giftcard its all about the principal on how they made up rules that was not in writing and they did not honor what they are advertising. I feel as though they pick and choose on who they want to honor the giftcard for. This place is a Customer Satisfaction FAIL !!!

I had a great car buying experience at Universal Nissan. From the minute I walked in I was well taken care of. I left the dealership with an extremely large smile and the Keys to a brand new 2016 Nissan Altima. Between sales rep Chris Oliva (who was incredibly knowledgeable, patient and very personable), Sales Manager Chris Green (who was able to approve a great deal for me) and Finance manager Chris Keller (who was able to help me stay within the budget for my monthly payments) I could not have asked for a better group of people to help me get exactly the vehicle I wanted and within my budget. Bought my car hear. Had it for almost 3 years. I love my car and everything the only reason i let them do my oil change is because its under my warranty. Othervise there maitence is very exspensive. Everytime i go in for a simple oil change they try to say you need this and that done. Like this place doesnt make enough money

I have been a customer of Universal Nissan since 1990 (was Action Nissan then) and just took delivery of my 9th car from them, a 2016 Maxima. I have always been treated as a valued customer and never just another sale. The entire staff is friendly and many recognize me by name when I come into the dealership. Hector Santiago (V.I.P. Sales) has been my sales person 3 times in the past 12 months - 2 cars for me and one for my son. As a woman, it is refreshing to be taken seriously as the decision maker, without having to have a man present. I have always received a great deal - price, trade in, interest rate which I have negotiated - and not being asked if I have check with my husband, and without high pressure tactics. The finance department is professional and efficient. I highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a Nissan. I am a customer for life - 25 years and counting.

I normally don't write reviews, my expectations were beyond exceeded. I was shopping around for a new car for one week not knowing what I really wanted. I just knew I wanted a new car. I was very overwhelmed and heard horror stories about car shopping. Needless to say I was nervous. I went to several dealerships and I must say I am so thankful for walking into Universal Nissan. From the moment I walked in I felt welcomed from the staff. Robins was my salesman. He provided me with exceptional service. If you are looking for a business that will rip you off, then Universal Nissan is the place for you. I had my car "fixed" at this location for $835, only to brake down 5-miles from the dealership - with the exact same symptoms. I guess that sensor wasn't the problem after all! What did they do about it? Absolutely nothing except tell me that I needed more repairs off their rap sheet of suggested purchases. Except, they couldn't guarantee the new repairs would fix the car. No thank you! I'm not going to let you replace the whole car letting you guess what is causing the problem. What was really telling was listed on the "recommended" repairs they put low tread down for my tires. Tires that I purchased 3 months prior. That shows you they are out to make money off you, even if it means lying.Not to mention you get the feeling it's the good ole boys club at this location. Every time I was there, they were more worried about talking with each other than helping anyone out. You had to seek them out for assistance and when you did, it seemed like you were bothering them.So my plea to you is don't walk, but RUN AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS!!! You will be thankful that you did.
Poor Customer Service!
The car we bought early this month is great, but this place lacks in customer service. We have never seen poor customer service at a dealership until we came to Universal Nissan. Every time I call they ask who I like to be transferred to instead of how may I help you. Every time we call and leave a voicemail, no one calls back with an answer to our questions. We have left many voicemails to the sales agent Philip, and finance manager Josh at Nissan, but no follow up calls have been receive yet. We have gotten the run around ever since we started the buying process early this month. We had to drive up to the dealership multiple times because they failed to have us sign certain documents, and wasted our time which we value you the most. I feel like something is screwed up somewhere in the system, and if we can't get it right soon further action may need to be taken.
My sales reps was very professional and friendly. I was the one who was inexperienced in what to do, They did their part of making me feel like I was getting a great deal. When I cam e home and had time to shop around I realized I got screwed on my vh. Price. Don't get me wrong I am only upset at myself. This is a good dealerships.

Poor repair service after you buy their vehicle
My NV 200 Cargo Van year 2015 by Nissan entire IT package went out.I have been trying to get repaired by Universal for 2 weeks. They said it would take 2-5 days for the part to come in. Its been nearly 2 weeks now. I call the service rep that I was dealing with and he said it is coming and would call me Saturday, Sept 5. I never heard from him so I called him and left a message on his voice mail. He never returned my call. So I called the Service manager. He too did not return my call. I called the dealership and asked the name of the person that owns the dealership and asked if he was in. They said no he wasn't in but would not give the owners name or number.This vehicle is a lemon since the IT package is already gone out. Stay away from this dealership.Rotten service.

I brought my 2012 Rogue in for routine services as usual that day. As always I'm greeted with a warm friendly smile as well as a willingness to assist my needs and concerns by Francisco in Service Dept.. While waiting for my car to be service Jonathan V. (Sales Dept.) walked over to say hello.Jonathan V. took care of a dear friend last year with her new car purchase (I was there during the process). I wasn't there to purchase a car that day, However, I already decided that my next car would be a BMW (USED) from CarMax. I previously owned and purchased several cars with them in the past. Several moments later after saying hello Jonathan ask , If I'm ready to trade in my Rogue.. I said No, I'm going to get a BMW soon and I'm not interest in any other car. AND he replied, I Got Something BETTER than a BMW.. Then he ask me: What color do you like? I replied. Silver. He said, I will be right back and you're going to love this.It only took him a few second to introduce me to "The 2016 Maxima".. First let me just say: I never, ever, ever been attracted to nor drawn to a Maxima, until now!! The 2016 Maxima is beautiful in every aspect of it's inner/outer designs and technology . As for as the driving aspect of this car is incredibly fast, smooth, sporty (for it's size), and while the turn by turn ratio/steering hugs the road with much love and safety.. I knew I would purchase this car the moment I sat behide the wheel. Jonathan was absolutely Right!! The 2016 Maxima is Better than a BMW.. Jonathan is amazing at his job. I expected to go in and deal with a pushy sales person that cared more about their commission than my pockets, I was pleasantly surprised. Jonathan was far from pushy and made sure that I drove away in a car I loved without breaking the bank. Truly a sweet heart....Joshua Craig was pretty awesome as well. I had been shopping for a new vehicle but was undecided so I simply went in for a oil change on the 2013 Altima I owned. But after speaking with Jonathan he helped me narrow down my options and I picked the a new 2015 Sentra... He was a great help with showing me the new features and options that were available.

I leased an Altima in 2014 and was interested in exchanging my lease to purchase something bigger. I went in for an oil change and left with a 2015 Rogue :-)! I am a teacher. I went to get a purchase order for the residual on my lease. the lease clearly states the fee is $300 for purchase. they added on $789.00 for Dealer Pre-Delivery, even though I have the car already. After I presented them with a cashier's check, they tried to pull their own loan and deceive me into signing for one.
this is my 2nd vehicle that I have bought from them and the service and treatment was execptional once again. this first vehicle I bought was from josh craig when he was a salesman now he was the manager and took care of me like I was family. I really appreciate how he goes above and beyond to make sure that I am happy. I highly recommend josh to anyone that wants a car.

I went in just browsing and no intention on actually taking my time and shopping, after a short while I noticed myself speaking with a wonderful gentleman named AHMAD. Long story short he actually treated me unlike any car salesman has before. He was very nice and straight forward and actually took his time with me and before I knew it I found myself in a new car. Loving our new Nissan Sentra!
We were interested in a new car. Had a 2010 Honda Civic. Had been to Honda late last year and it was a HUGE waste of time. We decided to wait. Heard about a promo with Honda again in July. Told them NOT to waste my time. This is what I wanted with NO money down. Kept asking but what if you had to what if it were this price instead. I again stated my goal of price and no money down. I said if not doable don't waste my time. Came back with an offer too high. I was ready to walk. I was told they wanted to see how committed I was. Really?!?! Are you serious??? So I went to go and I was followed out with him saying why not test drive the car, etc. I said no.My husband always wanted to check in with Nissan so we did and met Alberto. A very personable nice guy. I told him our experience and price and to please not give me the run around like Honda. Car was sold to us in less than 45 min if that because we test drove it. No back and forth deals, no waste of time and we love the new 2015 Sentra with NO MONEY DOWN and in our price range. It's roomy and drives great. I get the whole sales game but don't play with people that tell you that they don't want to be played with. Been there and done that and that is not how I do business and neither does Nissan . I'd say go there and check them out! Ask for Alberto!

Came in last weekend from my car search. Went to 2 other dealerships before I went to Nissan. My experiance from the first 2 dealerships felt I was arguing with my wife not getting what I wanted within reason. With me feeling like throwing the towel in for the day frustrated, I needed to go to the last dealership nearby since not from the area. Upon parking a salesman by the name Gerrard approached and open my door for me with 2 waters for my wife and I. Nice gesture for after what I went thru at the other competitors. Talking with Gerrard he ask me what I'm looking for, what I want. Gerrard told my wife they have nail salon inside where she can relax get them done for FREE. Genius idea because around her I can't think. The selection was vast and Gerrard was knowledgable with all my questions with a quick response. I suprisingly saw the car that fit our budget and options. Going inside I was also introduced to another salesman after finding out he was a manager by the name Josh. He asked me about financing and I told him I did mine thru my bank. After giving him my information he mentioned he might be able to get me a better rate. He came back with almost 2 pts. lower what I had. The staff came thru, very pleased and never thought I would have the experiance I had at a dealership. I normally don't do reveiws but felt this testimonial had to be heard. Thank you Nissan see you in 4,500 miles for my first oil change.

I walk in, someone gives me personalized attention right away. The salesperson fidel very suuuuper easy for me, I test drive the car, and as soon as I say I want it, I see someone go out there and take the car to the back so no one else can even sit on it. he gives me all the financial options I could even think of (some so good that I hesitated to take), sets me up for a great warranty and service, and handles everything in just one hour! I can come back in a couple of days and pick up my car washed, waxed, with plates on it, and they'll even take care of returning my rental!!!

After being hassled at other dealerships and just tossed around so they made even more than they already were, I was about to give up. I went to Universal Nissan and Alberto was first to approach me. He was sincere and considerate when it came to meeting my car needs, comfort, and budget. Alberto also introduced me to his manager, Josh Craig. Mr. Frank Guerrero was our Salesmen. He was very nice, informative and best of all not pushy. He answered all our questions which showed me that he was very knowledgeable. He showed us all the cars within our budget and found us the perfect car! We bought a 2014 Nissan Altima 2.5 S with the Audio package! During our test drive he explained all about the audio package. Afterwards we were sent to Adriano's office who did all our financing. He was quick and at the same time got us a better interest rate than expected. The whole experience was lengthy but good!!!

A big 5 stars! I arrived at 6 P.M. and was greeted by Chris OIiva. We have purchased four vehicles from Universal Nissan now and we have always had a great experience. I was out of there by 9 P.M. with a brand new car and happier than I could ever be! Chris Oliva sat down with me and my family since we got there and we went one step at a time. Making sure that we got all of the correct information. After this, he took us out to the lot to see what car I'd like and he made sure to tailor my wants to the perfect car match for me. I never felt rushed or like I was being deceived (like you do with other dealerships) and just felt a sense of confidence that I was going to walk out of there with the best deal possible.
