The overall experience with Universal was excellent. Both Jake (sales) and Randy (the final paperwork) were great. Both were very friendly and there was never any of that uncomfortable pressure that you get at some places. I was very pleased with both the value of the vehicle that I purchased and the amount that they gave me for my trade-in. It was very obvious during the test drive that the rotor needed to be replaced. Buying the vehicle anyway with that knowledge was my decision, but I was surprised that this wasn't something that would be fixed prior to putting the vehicle on the lot. I had no issues stopping, so it didn't seem to pose a safety issue.

After speaking with Randy and Rick I am totally sold on this dealership and will never buy again from the large dealerships trying to line their pockets. The buying process was easy, quick, personally tailored and simple. I had an opportunity to interact with other employees in different areas; they were on top of their game. The car I was interested in was ready to be drive and buy. Not only that, I was able to communicate with Rick on a personal basis and felt as though I were meeting up with long ago friends. I received "red carpet" service so to speak and would very highly recommend them. We all have our favorite vendors we work with. Now, I have an awesome group to add and complete my list. I purchased a truck and a car the same day. The process was easy and the folks very courteous. When it was discovered a ball joint and shock needed replaced on the truck, the repairs were made without charge before delivery of the vehicle. The car had just been received by UP the day I bought it and they went though it and fixed everything that needed fixed, without charge. Great folks who give great service and stand behind their words.

We saw a vehicle on Cars.com and went to Universal specifically for that car. Initially we thought we were just looking. Our credit isn't great and we were prepared to be told no. Randle helped us get right into a test drive. He said, "we will find a way for you guys to leave here with this car tonight." That's exactly what they did. From Randle in sales to Randy and Justin in finance everyone was incredibly helpful and kind. I never felt pressured once. They helped us get financed and even shopped around to get us an additional 5 year warranty. I could not have possibly been more pleased with our experience at Universal. I would recommend this dealer and certainly plan to return for our next vehicle purchases.

We found a car on Universal's website we liked so we sent them a message online. The next day Fred called me. After talking to the finance gentleman we didn't think we were going to be able to get the car. Fred called us and told us to go ahead and come in and see what they could do. Randy and Fred did everything they could so we were able to get the car! As a young woman, I feel completely comfortable and safe working with any of the gentleman at this dealership! Before coming to universal I was went to two different dealerships and really wasn't happy with how they were. I was nervous for my first time buying and they continued to try and force me into something I didn't even want. I met Chris at universal and he was truly great and treated me right. I told him my price range and we took a walk through the lot and he told me about all my options. We narrowed it down to two and I drove both and took my pick. Our sales person Randall was great all the staff were friendly and easy going. I came in thinking it would be hard to get financing but wanted a good deal. I told them what I needed and they made it happen. I did have a bankruptcy 2 years ago and they got me the deal I wanted on the vehicle I wanted. Low interest and low payments. Best buying experience ever and I have bought quite a few cars in my 55 years.

Let me first start off by saying I am not one who nit picks or normally complains, in this case my family and I were truly wronged by Universal Auto Plaza and I want the word to get out. I did reach out to them in attempt for them to make things right, but they opted on doing nothing to remedy it and showed no remorse. My family and I had an absolutely HORRIFIC EXPIERENCE! Dealt with the General Manager, Paul, and sales manager, Randy. Arrangements were made to take possession of a vehicle. We live 3.5 hours from Blue Springs, so called 3 days ahead of time to tell them we would be up on a Friday. They said "we will have the vehicle ready". I gave them a courtesy call the day before to make sure everything was still ago, again since we were driving 3.5 hours to get there. Their response "Looking forward to your arrival". We make the road trip to Blue Springs, give them a call to state we will be an hour late since we wanted to grab lunch. Response "We will see you when you get here." We arrive at the dealership. We were greeted by Randy, his words "the vehicle is not ready!" What?!?! Not what you want to hear when you make a long drive. They told us to come back in an hour and should have it done by then. We did that and came back. Randy "The vehicle is not going to be ready today, but we hope to have it done by tomorrow. If you would like you can still look and test drive the vehicle." So we take a look at the vehicle. Car was not detailed at all. The car smelt heavy of gas fumes. They advertised it had a DVD player, but failed to mention it did not work. There were some rips on both the front driver and passenger inside doors as well, again not mentioned or shown in the pictures. For obvious reasons we did not purchase the vehicle. It was not ready as promised, it was not described as advertised. They did not apologize when we left, nor follow up with a phone call or e-mail stating they were sorry. If they treated every customer like they treated us, it is a miracle they are in business! BUYERS BEWARE OF THIS VERY SHADY DEALERSHIP!!!!

A few months ago, I bought a 2007 Toyota Camry from Universal Auto Plaza. I first heard of the dealership after a good friend of mine suggested them after trading in a car for her son. As a person who has dealt with numerous car problems in the past, it has been such a great relief to have had zero issues with my new purchase. Not only did Universal Auto Plaza sell me a reliable vehicle that I have felt safe driving as far as Alabama recently, but each and every staff member that I encountered made it a top priority to find me the car that not only fit my needs but was within my means as well! I was very impressed when the owner of the dealership had no problem dropping everything to answer some of my inquiries and concerns about buying a used car. He, as well as the rest of his staff, appear to have had a lot of experience and knowledge with an extensive list of automobiles. This factor along with the personable nature of the employees has made me want to use their repair services in the future as well. I have recommended Universal Auto Plaza to all of my friends and family. This dealership does not just sell great, reliable cars, they sell service. It's this reason that will make me come back the next time I buy a car.

I absolutely loved universal auto plaza. They will do whatever it takes to get you in a car. I was a first time buyer. I had no credit not did I have somebody to sign with me. I am a server as we'll so my pay stubs don't aren't really accurate either. I kept getting declined to every dealership I went to. I needed a car so bad though because my oil pump and fuel pump went out in my previous car.i was struggling bad. Randy, a guy who works there helped me out a lot. I went there originally a few weeks before I actually did business with me. I didn't want to settle on the first car I saw so I wanted to give it some time. He asked me what I was looking for and I told him. He said he would keep me updated. He text me that night and told me they found the car I wanted in my price range and everything. I was so excited. The next day he text me again and told me they didn't get the car because there were too many problems with it. Right then and there I'm knew they were dealership that I needed to go to because of there honesty. I got an awesome car their with a premium warranty. My interest rate is fairly low considering I have no credit and my payments are right where I need them to be. So helpful these guys are! I would choose them over ford or Chevy any day. These guys are not to be trusted. They said they would make good on repairs I had to make, but I never recieved a dime even after submitted the mechanics fees. They sell Van Chevolets rejects.

I wrecked my wifes 2002 Isuszu Rodeo three weekends ago. She really liked that SUV due to the way she could see over other cars at intersections and it has 4x4 for the bad Kansas & Missouri weather. When I found the one on the website on Universals lot, I could not believe how great the pictures of it looked on their website. I spoke with Paul & Pops and several others there about it and they provided me with ,amy answers about it till we could come and look at it. Great facility and very nice & professional people there. They gave us a deal that made it quick and easy. My wife is very happy again. We now have the replacement 02 Isuzu Rodeo they had and its a wonderful SUV. My wife and I bough a 2002 BMW 325 xi from Universal Auto, and was told the only thing that was wrong with it was the brakes needed changed. They changed them, but after I finished paperwork and had the car, the engine light came on. I took it back to them, which for me isnt easy, since I live in Ottawa Kansas. They had it for 4 days, and even though I called Scott, to get an update, he never returned my call. After they repaired the car, the service light came back on a few days later. I took it to a shop to have a diagnostic reading. No codes, but I began to smell a strong gas odor in the cab. Now I have to take it back in to an Independent shop to have repairs done. I am very unhappy with the honesty of this company as well as the customer service is not professional at all. We have been shopping for new/used truck and decided after many dealership walk thrus and drive thrus to stop here. The experience was not as it was at other dealerships we finally had the experience of being able to look, and not feeling like being a piece of meat thrown in a pack of wolves (the salesmen). But at Universal Auto Plaza Mac came out introduced himself gave us the opportunity to look and said if we needed anything to give him a shout! No one breathing down our necks to push the sale we asked for keys for a few test drives and while out on test drive got back to learn they were giving us a fair price for trade in, it was wonderful!!! We met with Paul who promised us a deal that would remain in our budget and he diligently went to work with a particular bank and he GOT IT DONE and they came thru for us!!! Paul called me the next day and said he got it, at the price we wanted, and he even threw in a little extra on the trade and even finished the deal UNDER budget! We now are very happy owners of a Toyota Tundra and would recommend Universal Auto Plaza to our family and friends. They are not the typical pushy sales staff and financing, they actually listen! Kuddos to Mac, Paul & Staff!

They sold me a car with an hole in the A/C condenser, they tried to hid it by putting Freon in it that lasted about a week. I took it back to the Universal auto plaza and they wanted to charge me for a new A/C condenser and labor, lol really.

Just bought a 2006 Jeep Wrangler SE from these guys. They offered great service, no pressure and just stood off to the side as I went through the entire Jeep to make sure it was in the condition they advertised. They answered every question very straight forward and did not hassle me when I took the Jeep out for a test run. Put the car through it's paces and found out that they are very honest on everything. Then it came time for the dreaded haggling. They weren't pushy and we both walked away happy with the price. They even threw in a pair of running boards. So if you are interested in a place to go that you will have straight forward business and no hassle this is the place.

Laid back approach was appreciated. No pressure from the salespeople--they were upfront about what work had been done on the vehicle and what would/would not be covered under warranty, and let the car sell itself. When problems arose with the initial lender, Paul was patient and helpful in finding another. Had the vehicle for about a month, no repairs have been needed. Will remember Universal when the time comes for our next purchase.

Everyone was very nice until the deal was done. Then, we struggled with getting them to give us what was promised. Eventually, they conceded and did what was right, but not until I contacted an attorney to help enforce the contract. The car overall was a great deal. The customer service definitely needs work.
