Our salesman wasn't bad; his boss wasn't too bad to work with. The finance guy that took us to the tacky smelly new office that was part of another dealership was the jerk, kept wasting my time. As a retired Ford employee, I would not recommend these crooks to anyone.

After lots of looking, I found the Explorer I wanted online at Tri-State Ford. Tri-State Ford was 1.5 hours away so, I couldn't just go look at the Explorer in person. I contacted the dealership and talked to Todd Hayes. He was excellent to work with! I am not an easy customer to deal with when it comes to cars. I am very picky and especially since I was buying this SUV sight unseen! Todd answered all my questions within a timely manner over the phone. I drove 3 hours roundtrip to purchase the Explorer. Todd had the car washed, detailed and pulled up to the front of the dealership ready to go when I arrived! I am very happy with my purchase from Todd and Tri-State Ford. Even after the purchase of my Explorer, Todd and Chad made sure to follow up and make sure they provided service after the sale! I called tri state ford to check if they still had a vehicle I saw on there website site and made arrangements to come look at it. I drove up from Kansas city and when I got there it was about 20 minutes till they close for the weekend. When I got there they had the truck pulled up front and waiting for me. John and Brad stayed late to get me in my new truck. Best part of my experience was John's no B.S. work ethic...I told him what I wanted and he got the job done

I have a terrible shake when I use the brakes. It is under warranty. It's been over a month of me pushing them to do anything or keep me updated. They will not call me or leave me a message. They are honoring the warranty but they don't care about your time. They won't or can't do anything without consulting the "hotline" then blame them for the work not fixing anything.

Was shopping for a new Ford F-150. Since this is a very common vehicle, there were plenty to choose from at many larger dealers in my area. Even though Tri-State was by far the furthest dealer from my home, their combination of great prices and great communication convinced me to make the deal with them. Rob Pearce answered all my questions and I was able to do most of the paperwork online without having to waste a lot of time. Would recommend to anyone looking for a new vehicle!

my wife and I were just passing though looking at vehicles. We saw one we liked and before we knew it Marshall was there to greet us. We were never once pressured to look at any thing else to something we didn't like. The rest of the sales staff bent over backwards to make sure our car was approved for us and then they did even more after the sale to make sure we were satisfied with the purchase. From the moment I got out of my car I knew it was going to be a good experience. Marshall Cofflet was out the door to greet me with a smile and a handshake. He handed me the key to the car I was interested in and told me to take it for a drive. When it came time for the dealing, he was so easy to work with. He was very patient and understanding when it came to getting to an acceptable number for trade and final sale price. After the sale he walked me through all the bells and whistles that were on my new car even though it was later then closing time. Never did I feel rushed to leave. Made the drive up from Kansas City to purchase a new Ford F-250 and I couldn't have asked for a better or easier buying experience. My sales associate, Tim Jackson, who I had spoken with on the phone earlier that morning kindly greeted me upon arrival and already had the vehicle I came to look at pulled up front and ready for me to test drive. After a quick test drive, I knew I had to leave with this new truck pending a fair trade on my vehicle. Chad Gastler, the Used Car Manager at Tri-State, gave me a respectable and no hassle trade offer that made it easy for me leave with my new Ford F-250. After waiting for hours at another dealership, I called Tri-state on the way to maryville. I told them I wanted a suv, with 4x4, and payments around $450. They pulled an new escape up. It had all the features I was looking for, plus a couple new features. They just installed a new mirror which I bought from them so they made money on the part and on the labor which is to be expected. They charged $44.50 for 1/2 hour of labor that is $89 per hour. Then they added $4.45 for shop supplies. There were no shop supplies used this is just another way for them to screw the returning customer. I may never go back to them again for anything. They should have kept Dallas Berry in service and it would have been twice as good.

I went on the website cars.com looking to purchase a Ford truck. The advertised price was shown on the cars.com website so I contact the dealer. The dealer told me that the price shown on cars.com was for fleet sales only. When I set up my parameter on cars.com I simply asked for pricing on a Ford pick up truck. The dealer emailed me with revised pricing which was approx $2500 higher. I was very disappointed and purchased a truck through a different dealer.

I like dealing with John Turner a Tri State due to the fact that he doesn't mess around and he takes care of his customers. What you want as a customer he tries his darndest to get you. And both times I have bought a car from Tri State Jon has gotten me what I want and the deals I want. Jon is why I came back to Tri State a second time. However, I must say I am not impressed with the detailing crew on used cars. I opened the compartment between the seats there was crushed up crackers all over the bottom. I also openes under the hood when I got home to check out the engine compartment and the there was dust cacked all over and a bunch of dead grass by the air vents next to the wind shield. I had to go wash out the engine compartment myself. Next time I come back to Tri State I will be looking over every speck of the car to make sure the detailing job done to the vehicle job is up to my satisfaction. The quailty of work from Jon Turner during the sale was a 5/5. The rating of 3/5 on "Quality of Work" goes directly towards whoever does the detailing at Tri State.

Tri-State Ford Lincoln in Maryville, MO, has an excellent, competent Service Department and Personnel. The AM Radio on my 2013 Lincoln MKS had poor AM reception from the time of purchase in May 2012. Numerous visits to my local dealership did not fix the AM reception problem, despite the replacement of the radio, electrical wiring harness, and module(s). Two and a half years later, the AM radio was fixed after working with a Lincoln Representative who made an appointment for me to get a second opinion at Tri-State Ford Lincoln in Maryville, MO. The Tri-State Service Manager, Steve Schons, listened to my description of the AM radio reception problem and directed his best Technician to find the cause. At the end of the day, the Technician had diagnosed the problem was due to faulty wiring but needed another day to disassemble the dashboard panel to trace and find the faulty wiring. Because they needed to keep my car another day or two, Mr. Schons provided me a new Lincoln MKZ to drive while they fixed my AM radio. The next day, Mr. Schons called and told me they had fixed the AM radio reception which was caused by a broken wire. Needless to say, I am delighted to finally have a working Am radio. I highly recommend the Service Department and Personnel at Tri-State Lincoln in Maryville, MO.

Great experience at Tri-State Ford. I've been talking with Tim Jackson literally for weeks about trading in for a new or used fusion. He let me ask a gazillion questions and talk back and forth on what I wanted. He didn't mind at all that I kept dragging my feet, and we exchanged numerous emails and texts while looking at various vehicles. When I finally was ready to make the move, Tim helped me find exactly what I wanted. He and Chad Gastler spent time searching and looking for my specific request of a ruby red fusion with a moonroof. I was ready to settle for a second choice, but didn't have to because they located one! To top it off, my payments are lower than I even hoped for. My wife and I went to Tri-State to have a vehicle serviced. The service department was very pleasant to deal with. I would definitely consider having future work done there. My wife wanted to look at different vehicles, which is how we ran into Marshall. I have dealt with much better sales personnel, and of course, a few worse ones. What sold us on the vehicle was the care we received from Rick, the sales manager, and Chad the finance officer. We had prior experience with Chad when he was employed with a different dealership in town. These two individuals were very helpful and very interested in our needs, we couldn't seem to make that connection with Marshall. After the purchase of the vehicle, for clarification it was used, I found a few smaller problems with it. My wife delivered the title of the vehicle we traded to Tri-State two days after we purchased the car. She approached Marshall and made him aware of these issues, my wife was told these issues 'could' have happened once the vehicle left the lot. If we wanted them repaired we could schedule an appointment. What upset us the most was the problems we found were the hood release cable inside the car was not hooked up. This made it very difficult to open the hood. The other issue was a tire pressure sensor malfunctioning and tripping a code. Marshall had assured us that used vehicles are looked over very closely when they are traded in. How were these issues missed. I know this does not fall solely on Marshall, but we bought the car two days before. I guess we expected too much for the service department to take a look at them. In the future I can see us having some vehicles serviced there if we can't get it done elsewhere, but this was the first and last time we will buy a vehicle there.

I came in not sure if I wanted to change size/type of vehicle from my previous. Tim did a great job and was very patient with me as I went through my decision making process, which included test driving multiple vehicles. He also did what was necessary, with some assistance from Todd Hayes, to try to find just the right vehicle with all the options I desired. Tim and Todd were both enjoyable to work with! The less enjoyable part of my experience was the finance process. The process itself was fine, but the interaction felt forced and Brad was sometimes busy with personal texts while I was waiting.

Bob Pearce is one of the best vehicle salesman that I have ever dealt with. Anyone who can be as patient as he was with us would have to be great at his job. We traveled 3 hours and 15 minutes one way to purchase a used truck. It was exactly as Bob described it over the phone and turned out to be the best experience that we have ever had buying a vehicle. Bob went out of his way to make sure every question that we had was answered and with no high pressure. We are very particular and to the point that I even crawled under the vehicle to look for any problems and the whole time Bob was patient and understanding. Rick Moss did an excellent job searching every option that was available for us to finance and found the very best deal for us. We all have those moments in our lives when something happens, and you think "WHAT am I going to do?" This happened to me mid July when my 16 year old Expedition decided to finally give up after many years of being the family vehicle. I was beyond distraught. With anxiety and dread (because I HATE car shopping) I took a big gulp and went to this dealership. The Sales Consultant, Rob met me in the lot, I told him the situation I was in, and what I could and could not afford. I advised him of the safety features and type of vehicle I would like. More than once, I advised him this was NOT what I wanted to be doing.... He took all that and processed it with a smile. He heard me. We test drove a couple vehicles, I fell in love with one and the whole team, including Brandon went beyond the extra mile to crunch numbers and make it work. This was, hands down, the best car buying experience I have ever had. I appreciated them so much I took home made cinnamon rolls in the next day. We were interested in the vehicle as it tested out very well. My review of the process is as follows:Sales Person- Rob Church: Having spoken with Rob several times we drove and inspected the above vehicle. Rob was very helpful, courteous and friendly during the whole sales process. I am very pleased with his professional manner and salesmanship from which he conducts business. He is to be commended for this in my opinion.Sales Manager- Rick Moss- Rick was also helpful in the sales process regarding a mutual agreement on price & reaching the desired payment range. However, once in the finance office I found that he was not aware of the laws regarding placement of a co-signers name on the title. He told me the next day that he did not intentionally misrepresent the fact that it is not a Missouri law that co-signers must be placed on the title of the car. Be that as it may, I am obligated to accept that fact. Still, I feel that a person in his position having 20 years in the car business should have been aware of this fact. Finance Person- Brad Baker-Prior to entering the finance office the sales process was smooth and professional in my opinion. I will state that Mr. Baker was not rude or disrepectful to either my son or myself in our conversation that day. However two things happened that caused me concern and ended the sales process on the vehicle we had fully intended to purchase.1. The first occurred when it came time for Mr. Baker to broach the subject of the added vehicle warranty. I told him we were NOT interested in same and mentioned that Consumers Reports recommended that warranties such as this were not a good buy for the consumer. Mr. Baker then told me he had an article which stated that Consumers Reports had reversed their position and now recommend same. At that point I disagreed and dropped the subject knowing it was not true. After I got home I checked my past issues and found that the recent, April, 2014 issue (pgs 21-23), supported the fact that what Mr. Baker stated was in contradiction or untrue. To be honest at that point his credibility in my opinion went from good to poor!2. Following the above discussion I was presented with the actual sales contract which was correct with the exception of the top line which had both my sons name and mine which meant I would be on the title. At that point I asked Mr. Baker about that and stated I did NOT want to be on the title but was a co-signer only. He asked me why, which was natural, and I told him that it presented legal liability to myself and that I felt Matt should be the sole owner. At that point, he indicated that it was illegal to do otherwise and this was standard procedure. I knew this also was not true as I have co-signed for my son previously in both Missouri & Iowa and did not have to have my name on the title even though I was his co-signer. Whether this was an intentional or unintentional misrepresentation a person in his position should know the legality of the title requirements. I was not impressed! In the final process it was admitted this requirement was a rule of the lender, not the state of Missouri. An attempt by Mr. Moss was made to find a lender who did not require the co-signers name to be on the title. This was a probability but due to the reduced months from 66 to 48 it made the payment too high for my son to complete the purchase. Thus, the car was not financed and/or purchased.Summary-I spoke on the phone with Rick Moss uron the 27th of June and explained my displeasure detailed above. I would deal with Mr. Church again at any time without reservations and perhaps Mr. Moss but unfortunately I would not deal with Mr. Baker again. In my opinion both Mr. Baker & Mr. Ross placed me in a very awkward position regarding their repeated encouragement to complete the sale after I explained several times to each of them my position and reasons for not wanting my name on the title. My son was not mad at me but is extremely sensitive in situations like this and was visibly upset. Matt has come a long way in life despite his handicap which keeps him from gainful employment. Presently he has been able to save $2,000 and we are going to have to wait a few more months until he has $4,000 to put down which he should have by September. This disappointing situation has no bearing on servicing our vehicles at Tri-States Ford/Lincoln as we are very happy in that area. However, to be very honest I can not say for certain that we will ever purchase a vehicle from either Tri-States or a sister store due to this experience. I hope in the future that no customer will ever receive unsubstantiated information from anyone at your store. After all it doesnt matter if it is intentional or unintentional as either is untrue and misleading.Thank you for listening and bearing with my verbose complaint.Sincerely,TedTed H. Welch Sr.

He was upfront and honest with me which allowed us to establish a rapport which left me wanting to bring Tri-State Ford my business. When I returned from overseas I headed to Tri-State Ford shortly after. When I arrived, Rob had just finished his own test drive of the two trucks I was going to look at. Rob had a no-pressure style which made looking and driving the trucks an enjoyable experience. I am not sure if the tour of Maryville, MO is part of everyones buying experience at Tri-State but it did make for a great test-drive experience. Test-drive complete, I had already made my decision and began the paperwork.I have owned my truck for a couple months now, and still nothing but great things to say about Rob and the Tri-State Ford team. I received wonderful customer service from Rob and Brad! Didn't really care for Rick ( I believe that was his name) he is the one that gives Rob or any other salesman the okay and final price. He needs to make sure he has all his facts straight before telling a customer something. I still think they could have given me a little more for my trade but I was okay with everything in the end. Except for Rick! But I would go back and do business with them again. We found the truck we were looking for, on the internet, at Tristate and worked with Marshall Cofflet on the phone. Marshall was very helpful, sending pictures and helping me evaluate the truck long distance. We settled on a deal, which took into consideration us flying from California to pick it up. When we arrived at Kansas City International (MCI) we were greated by Joy, who drove us the 1-1/2 hours to Maryville. The next day we found the truck was everything we expected. Marshall did a great job! The only glitch was some scratched up window tint on the rear windows. Richard and the guys in Recon took the truck in ahead of everything else and had new tint installed in 30 minutes. Fantastic! We then started finalizing the deal, working with Rick Moss. There were some unexpected things to work out and Rick took care of them. We then went to Finance, which was supposed to take 45 minutes, or so. Three hours later we were finally getting on the road! However, all in all, the experience with Tristate was excellent. I would only recommend that Tristate could benefit their internet buyers by making sure their entire process is explained clearly, in writing, before the customer arrives. This would eliminate some rather tense moments in an otherwise enjoyable experience.

The salesman was excellent and would recommend him to anyone: Rob Church helped a lot. The paperwork you have to fill out with the other department takes too long: it needs to be streamlined. This is not the dealers fault: this is Ford's fault. I do think I should have gotten more for my trade-in. Why 2 people had to be in the room when I am doing my paperwork I do not understand, and I was never told why 2 had to be there: if one was still learning I should have been told so. I love my new escape. It has a lot of features I will learn to use with time. I did a lot of searching online before I went to dealer. My wants were: red exterior, ease of getting in and out of driver's seat and unloading of trunk, safety features, gas mileage, and would the vehicle fit in my garage. I found a vehicle online at this dealership that met my requirements and went there for a test drive. The Ford escape met all these requirements: it beat out the Chevy Equinox for comfort level of seat while driving. This is the first Ford I have ever bought in my 44 years of driving. I keep my vehicles a long time so this vehicle had better be all I think it is and Ford said it was.

A few months ago, I had contacted Tri State Ford (Jesse LaMar) about a used vehicle that they had advertised, only to find out that the vehicle had recently sold. I asked Jesse to contact me if they would happen to find a vehicle meeting the specifics I had requested. I have to admit I didn't think that I would hear from him. I was wrong. After some careful internet searching for the Fusion Hybrid, I ran upon the one I was looking for at Tri State last Sunday. On Monday morning I received an email from Rob Church, telling me the good news, that it was available & they could easily put in the heated seats I wanted as well. Making the 2+ hour drive to the dealership yesterday, I found that Rob had all of his ducks in a row. He had the paperwork ready for us, everything ready for the review of our trade in & took great car to show this non techy person how the many functions of my new high tech car worked. Everyone was very nice and professional & I felt like it couldn't have gone smoother. Manager, Rick Moss agreed to our price with no hassle and it was an easy swap. We met with the finance guy (sorry, I have forgotten his name) briefly to complete the deal and go over extended warranty options. Although we didn't purchase any extended warranties, we weren't pressured into one as has been past experiences at other dealerships. By far the best car buying experience I have ever had. I travel about an hour an a half to Maryville to purchase the perfect car I had found through used car databases. I called ahead and spoke with Jesse LeMar about the car and settle on a price they would be willing to accept. When I arrived a few hours later the car was warmed up ready for me to look over and take for a spin. I then sat down with Jesse and went through my paper work, all the while, Rick Moss was working to get me a better interest rate on my financing. By the time Jesse and I were finished Rick was able to offer me an even lower interest rate and set me up with an excellent warranty package. After I finished with the finance department I came out to find two drivers Jesse had called in to follow me home, an hour an a half away, in my new car so I would not have to return the next day to pick up the vehicle in the expected snow storm. TriState, went out of their way to ensure I had a positive buying experience and ensured me as repeat costumer.

Lot of times sales people tend to talk to the husband but I was very happy that Rob understood that I, the wife was the one that was purchasing the vehicle and he focused on making sure all my questions were answered. John Turner was good at keeping in contact with us through our 4 month car buying experience. We went in needing a crew cab Ford. Ended up getting a Dodge that we weren't really interested in but knew he had tried so hard to find it so thought we would give it a try. When it had to be towed away he got us into a really nice rental that day, Christmas Eve. We ended up buying that rental and giving back the Dodge. Overall, we're happy. Only problem is the payment of the Ford ended up going up $70.00 a month within the hour we were there signing papers. It actually jumped $50.00 between car salesmen and another $20.00 when we signed. We're still not sure how that happened. :(Georgia Weiderholt was absolutely awesome though! Very good with kids and customers and makes you feel appreciated and like she was actually happy that you were there. Never once left us alone starring at the wall, feeling like we were annoying her by being there. Love her!

I went to look at used vehicles not thinking I wanted to buy new with prices the way they are. I test drove a used Ford F150 with Rob Church and it wasn't what I really wanted. He never put any pressure on me at all to purchase. He said he would call me if anything else came along and then kind of as an afterthought he asked me what kind of payments I wanted. I told him and he said maybe we can get you in a new truck for that. I said I didn't think so but we looked at one and went inside to see how it would come out. He started adding incentives and then went to the sales manager and they came up with more incentives. I was kind of shocked at how much came off the sticker price. I knew that probably wasn't their rock bottom price but I was happy enough that I accepted it. Rob called me later that afternoon to let me know what the monthly payments would be and they were in my range so I said let's go ahead. I am really pleased with the service I received and the no pressure sales experience. I am really pleased with my NEW F150 and never thought I would ever be driving a NEW vehicle. Thank you Rob and thank you Tri State Ford.

Tri-State was running a black Friday special on their oil changes. My daughter and I took both of our vehicles in. They were quick and very efficient. I am glad that they do a complete check when they changed the oil, we found out that my daughter's tire was bad. To some this is not what you want to hear, but to a mother and father and safety of their child - this means a lot. Thanks for taking the time to check things over. I have taken my car for the works oil change several times to walton motors in savannah, but they missed a $1500 service on my transmission that is thankfully still covered by warranty. I came into Tri-State Ford today and they diagnosed the problem and ordered the parts for service sometime next week!!!! I am very grateful that they caught the problem and will get it fixed in a timely manner!!

We had stopped at tri states lot in south st joseph mo, just to look, within a minute John Turner was there to help, we looked at a few vehicles but none that peaked our intrest, we were looking for a full size suv, john told us he had one in maryville at their main dealership we might like, so john personally took us to see it( 2004 ford expidition eddie baure ) very nice told us to take it home, he even filled it with gas, that was in october 2012, we bought this vehicle and are still happy with it and the service we still recieve, in aug. 2013 my better half was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer, then our transmission went out, we didnt know what to do because we had to travel to kcmo for 7 weeks daily for treatment, John Turner and Todd Hill helped us with a free c max hybrid rental, what a life saver, ours was fixed with a new transmission and our bill was $200 out of $2200, this dealer ship cares about its customers, I will buy all my vehicles from them from now on, this has been the best sales and service anywhere in missouri, period. Rob Church and several other employees at Tri State Ford in Maryville were great. Rob was very helpful in helping us purchase our second new Ford Fusion SE. He was great at explaining the features of our new car and offered to be available even to the point of coming to our home if we have trouble figuring out all the new features that were not on our last Fusion.
