I had an appointment to have the service work done on my vehicle that has almost 30,000 miles on it. Toyota was having a tire sale at this time as well. I made the appointment for 11 am but my vehicle was not ready until 5:00 pm. I was given all kind of excuses and out right lies about why it was taking so long. However, my husband and l are not stupid. He has worked for dealerships and knew that it was not taking that long to change the oil and line up a van. I don't believe that they even started to complete my service until I called at around 3:00 concerned because they had never called me to come pick up my vehicle. I would much rather they just told me the truth; they got busy selling and installing new tires for other customers that they forgot about my SCHEDULED work. We actually heard them arguing about whose fault it was that my service work had not been completed, and the servicemen hushed up arguing really quickly when they realized the gentleman sitting close by was my husband. It did not stop them from charging me the full rate. I was offered a free car wash on another date because it was so late when they gave me back my van that the car wash was closed for the day. Considering that I drove 38 miles one way to get there for the service, I doubt I'll make another trip for the free car wash. I had other tasks that I needed to complete on this day that I could get to because customers buying tires were placed in front of me and my appointed scheduled work. I just want to say that my time is valuable to me too, and charging me the full rate was terrible customer service! I will be looking elsewhere for future servicing needs. Way to go Toyota of Rock Hill, SC. I had planned on buying my next vehicle there, but not now!

I bought a 2015 Camry about a month ago. (Which I was over charged) It broke down on me a few weeks after my purchase and when I picked it up from the getting the repairs it was missing a hubcap. They initially told me there wasn't one on it when I brought it in but they would order me one and not charge me! Like they were doing me a favor! I wasn't missing anything from the vehicle! Customer service was very poor!

My car has a problem, every time I turn the steering wheel, the car tries to stop by activate the ABS. Brought the car in for service, after diagnostic the advisor guy told me that they must replace one part that control the balance of the car. I asked him to confirm: "are you sure the problem will stop after the part is replaced?. He answered:" we are responsible for our work", then I asked the same question again, he went to his manager and came back with this answer: "we stand behind our work". All I want is the problem must stop. So they do their job, and I paid for it very expensiveAs soon as I left the dealer, that problem happened again. I immediately call back and let them know. They asked me to bring the car back in and leave the car there for longer diagnostics. They came back to me and told me they have to replace another part. Then I asked : "Are you sure this time will work?". They answer me without %100 sure. That is not good, I felt. " Are you going to pay me back the cost that you charged me the first time? I asked because I know for sure whatever they fixed the first time not related to the problem. They said no. Then I came up to Service Manager, then Department Manager, and then the General Manager, none of them want to take that responsibility and pay me back. Took the car to another dealer, they simply called the Toyota corporate engineer and found out the problem and fixed it. I called Toyota corporate regional office and got pay back. They said they sorry about what Rockhill dealer did to me. Toyota Goal is to get everything fixed correctly the first time. DO NOT LET THEM RIP OFF THE TOYOTA'S CLIENTS.

Buyer Beware!!! Never have my wife and I been more insulted at a dealer. We have good credit and money to put down and no comsiderstion was goven to answer or quedtions on a vehicle. We came in to look for a new truck. Our salesmsn Todd didnt answer any of our questions nor dod finance present us with a worthwhile payment after we told them where we needef to be at. We were offered a model not in stock and not given an answer as to when it would ne there. Website is a jock as of yesterdau said 22 tacomas in stock we saw three on the lot and were told at the payment we erre looking for thry wouldnt work.Very upset at toyota of rock hill

I don't like going to dealerships to buy a car, but Tom Funderburk made the experience a pleasant one. He beat the competitors price, but did not pressure me to buy. I went home and thought about it and called the next day to agree to the deal. He also got me a great deal on a badge black out kit that beat an online price I had found. Everyone was friendly that I came in contact at the dealership. Thanks Tom for making the buying process an enjoyable one.

My car had to be towed the nearest dealership which was Toyota of Rock Hill. Upon arriving it initially took 10-15 minutes for someone to greet/help us. The car was scheduled for service at 8:15AM on Saturday 6/4/16 by David. He said that the car would not be finished until Monday. I was a little frustrated because I lived an hour away and had to return to work on Monday. Nonetheless, we made it work. I send my fiance and his brother to pick up the vehicle on Monday 6/6/16. They get there and the car had not even began getting work done. Mind you we live in Columbia, SC. We wasted gas, missed work and only got a "we did the best we could". The LEAST they could have done was called to say it wasn't going to be ready at the time they predicted. I called corporate on 6/7/2016 and was assured that would receive a call from the Customer Relations manager from Rock Hill....here it is over a week later and they STILL have no consideration for my time. I will only take my vehicle to Dick Dyer Toyota... Rock Hill service center is extremely inconsiderate.

Where do I start. I went through a negative experience at another dealership and with the assistance and support of Tom Funderburk I was able to find what I wanted and at a good deal. It's a business and always will be at some level but the customer experience has to be supportive and willing to adapt to the needs of the individual. I consider myself a bit high maintenance but he handled my endless questions and concerns with patience and professionalism. Tom made the experience a customer relationship and that's a lost art. A+ plus experience.

Todd McIntire -met me at the door and it was all a breeze from that point. We found the car I liked and drove it without any hassle. (I went to one place where they could not find the keys) The Rock Hill dealership was nice and clean, with lots of friendly people. Todd offered me a soda while he filled out paperwork, and started the process. I could not believe the price, way better than I expected and without a lot of back & forth. I signed a few pieces of paper and before I knew it I was hitting the road with a new car! But not before Todd helped me set up my phone with the bluetooth feature. He even checked back with me after a couple of days, to make sure I was happy. Todd McIntire is a great sales person, I wish more could be like him.THANK YOU!

Dear Parker (Internet Sales Mgr),We drove down from Asheville (3 hrs) on Monday, taking a day off from work, with intentions on buying a vehicle that day that we found online. We had looked over the 2013 Odyssey EX-L and was interested in seeing it in person. After emailing and texting Todd for a couple days we arrived, as planned, to find the Odyssey minivan in less than presentable condition. There was trash left in the van, the interior was not cleaned, there were missing plastic covers for the middle seat and the oil life was just shy of needing to be changed and the oil change sticker was still in window (and it sated per the mileage written on it that it was due)! The life of the tires on this vehicle would soon require new ones, tread worn down! Ok, this is a car I drove down to "see"? And you knew I was driving 3 hrs for this!This implies to us that the dealership did not service the vehicle, took no pride in their inventory and was deceptive. I asked for the inspection and service sheet that was done when the van arrived. After 30mins of waiting Todd brought us a sheet. Shouldn't have taken that long to print off a report, and that again leads us to believe that it was not accurate. When we sat down to discuss numbers we told Todd the number we wanted to finance (through you guys) plus taking our Odyssey trade. When Todd returned he had our van key in hand and immediately handed us our key back and said, "sorry we can't do that but thank you for coming in." What?! What dealership hands you the keys back and doesn't start dealing?! We then thanked him for his time and I showed him the certificate for the $25 gift card offered on your website for customers to come in and test drive. This confirmation email stated we could show the dealership the email/certificate from our smart phone. Well, there was a problem with that also, apparently it was another stall technique and got the impression they were hoping I would just give up and leave! It took 30mins of back and forth to the manager before I stood up and walked over there to the manager and said, "Do you want this certificate number?" He then said, "Oh, Oh well Todd just get her mailing address." So, again....what the heck?! It will be a miracle if I get the $25 gift card in the mail!By the way, we stopped by your neighbor, Hendrick Honda, and drove away in the exact vehicle you guys had (they were asking $27,998 and you all were asking $24,998) and they gave us more for our trade-in! They showed us the car fax and service inspection without us having to ask for the print out! They came down from their asking price, we negotiated and we drove back to Asheville in the 2013 Odyssey EX-L! Their salesman was very knowledgable and very professional. The entire dealerships' atmosphere at Hendrick was 10x more professional. Small things like a small refrigerator stocked with cold bottled waters and a popcorn machine, all were self serve. It would be in Toyota of Rock Hills' best interest to learn from them!Enjoying our 2013 Odyssey from Hendrick Honda!Customers from Asheville, NC

I don't like to buy cars. Felix Collins epitomizes a "Customer 1st" - "Dealer 2nd" relationship.I wasn't sure what kind of car I wanted and have been looking for a few months. Felix listened to me, made recommendations and let me test drive a number of cars and waited on me to make the decision.He followed up appropriately which kept me interested but I never felt pressured to buy although he and I both knew I needed to make a purchase.Gary in the finance department made the process easy for me as well. I appreciated his honesty as we moved through the process. I ended up purchasing a limited Rav4. I LOVE it!! But honestly I LOVE the experience I had with Felix you see, my children's father has bought two cars from Felix at Rock Hill Toyota. Toyota sold me a car with problems, "couldn't" fix it, bought it back for $2k less, never filed my gap cancellation, I resent it to them - they lost it, finally got my gap money and went to cash the check - IT BOUNCED. Manager hung up on me when I called to complain. It has been a horrible 8 months, and I would NEVER send anyone to this place. No one communicates or takes responsibility for their actions. Stay far far away from this dealership!

I had been to numerous dealerships prior to landing in Rock Hill. I was stressed and had spent way too much time fighting off salesman (and wasting tons of time) attempts to get me into a new car despite my insistence that I wanted pre-owned. The car buying experience can be confusing but Toyota of Rock hill made is EASY! Direct, straight forward, honest, friendly and accommodating. They went above and beyond to make sure I walked away a satisfied customer! My husband and I took our Camry to a North Carolina Toyota for maintenance. We noticed the dealership was advertising incentives; we inquire about the Camry's and Avalon's. We have owned only Toyota cars over the past 25 years. However, after talking with multiple people and salesmen, we couldn't find the car we were interested in purchasing. We visited the dealership three times and was unable to complete a deal, that we were comfortable enough to sign the dotted line. It was lengthy negotiations and every car had different features. At one point, we consider checking other dealerships other than Toyota. First, we contacted other Toyota dealerships, to check if they had the models, colors and features we wanted. We drove to South Carolina and met Bill Patterson, he was professional, efficient and we never felt pressured. We are educated buyers and know what we are looking to purchase. He knew exactly what we were looking for and how to seal the deal with my husband. We love the new car and thanks to Bill we will stay with Toyota. I would highly recommend asking for him. We spent a month searching for a car. Toyota of Rock Hill was the first and last one we visited. We had bad experiences with other dealers because of the system of the salesman calling in a supervisor or sales manager who treated us shabbily, telling us in effect that the model or the price we wanted was not possible. . At Toyota of Rock Hill we dealt with Bill Patterson until the payment stage. We prefer that procedure.

I drove from Mooresville to the dealership because they had the car I wanted, got me pre-approved BEFORE driving there AND gave me the monthly cost for just the car, without all of the extras. I had asked for the same thing 3 times at Toyota of North Charlotte and they would not give me a barebones price until adding 2% to my finance rate for not purchasing any of the extras. The rate I received from Toyota of Rock Hill was 3% less than what North Charlotte was going to charge me too! FAST, FRIENDLY and WORTH THE DRIVE!

I bought a new Toyota in 2011 from Kelsey Cash. I had been to a few dealers in the area. No one was taking me seriously. I thought I would try Toyota too since I had not yet entered their lot. I met Kelsey Cash, and this was finally when I felt someone was listening and taking me at my word and treating me like a valued customer. I bought a new Toyota that day. Fastforward to 2014, I returned and contacted Kelsey Cash again. Why not return to where I had received respectful and excellent service? He was there to again provide the excellent service. Again, listening, working hard to find a good fit for my purposes and my budget. He did not hassle me in any way and simply was there to facilitate and accommodate as best he could. The 2nd experience was even better than the 1st experience. I highly recommend this dealer. The finance person, Terrence (didn't get last name) also was excellent in every way and the paperwork was a painless procedure. Thank you Terrence. These 2 Toyota employees are the reason people will go back.

Overall, the "in-dealership" experience was great, however one specific thing we told them was NOT to shotgun out my credit score if that was at all possible. Jodi promised us that it wouldn't happen and two weeks later I began receiving letter after letter of financing companies. Them "shot gunning" out my score is an understatement. I received over 20 different companies in the mail and two months later my credit score has dropped over 100 points.Not on any medical bills, or missed car payments that I could be at fault for. It was simply because my credit score was being tapped into so many times. My bank warned me of this before we went. Which is why we asked ourselves for him not to shotgun it out. I understand that this is definitely a risk when purchasing a car and some banks can finance for cheaper than others, but it is misleading when you are told something and expect that "something" to happen and then it's not carried through. I love my car and I wouldn't trade it for anything, but the emails got out of hand asking for a review, the phone calls and everything. These guys make extra $$$ based on the reviews they receive, and even though I was satisfied inside the dealership, when I got home and had to worry about my future because of my credit score, and so on, I was not pleased. Honesty up front would have been appreciated.

This was the worst experience that I have ever entailed when buying a car. After a late night purchase, I ended up paying the asking price, even though I was quoted $1000 lower on the lot. On top of that, I was sold close to $4200 of extras. After talking to my finance company, I was informed that I could go to the dealership and have the extras removed. At the dealership they told me that it would take over 30 days for the money to be credited to my account. They only credited $3500. I guess they found a person that they could really take advantage of.

My family and I were driving our 2006 Highlander Hybrid from Orlando, FL to Columbus, OH on July 18th 2014. This was the end of our vacation and we were traveling home. Our highlander gave us the ole "Check VSC System" and "Check Hybrid System" messages on our dashboard. We researched the closest dealer which turned out to be Toyota of Rock Hill. We pulled into the service entrance at 16:30 (sign on the door said they closed at 17:00), and asked if they could simply read the codes from the computer to give us an idea if we should continue on home or find a room and get it serviced. One gentleman in the service office said he would ask the Service manager if they could do that. The answer was no. Talk about crappy service. I would certainly NOT recommend this dealer and I can assure you I will do all within my power to steer as many people away from that dealership as I can.

This dealer is very competative. I shopped a 200 mile radius and could not match the quality and price. I found many nice vehicles that were top quality but were overpriced. If the prices were good then the quality was not there(too many owners, body damage, etc.) Working with Felix Collins was fabulous! He did not play any games, was very honest and knowledgable. He gave me equal respect as my husband and we never felt pressured. There have been too many times I have been talked down to for being a woman, as if I didn't understand automobiles or negotiating. Felix and Tim Abram stayed late to accomodate our schedules. Overall they did a great job and I have found a dealership that I can trust. Thank you!

I visited this dealership just to browse for a used car,As soon as I stepped out of my truck I was welcomed by Sales Consultant Jason Nickolaisen he was very friendly with my teenage boys as well as myself. He listened very closely to what I was looking for and the fact that I was looking for something to save on gas and that my 6ft 1 13 year old could fit in comfortably. We took a smooth test drive and he explained that he think that he could work some magic for me and send me home in a new car. After about an 1 hour of hard work from him and the Italian Used Sales Manager Troy and Finance Manager Tim Abram... I had the payments I was looking for and not a huge down payment that was going to leave my bank account crying. They were very personal and made me feel like I was a V.I.P. I have always wanted to own a Toyota Camry and thanks to these 3 wonderful guys my dream has finally came true... I am so happy and to top it off it is Mother's day weekend.. Had an issue with my steering column in my 2010 Avalon. It was making a "clicking" noise at low speeds. The fix based on the initial diagnosis was quite expensive. I was told a much less expensive fix, not yet authorized by Toyota, may be available. It was recommended I wait for the authorization since the problem was not immediately dangerous. I wrote the Toyota service mgr and cc'd my service advisor asking that they escalate the issue within Toyota because it seemed to me that a steering column issue is potentially VERY serious. Evidently they did just as I requested and provided the expensive fix at no charge to me as a "goodwill service". The bottom line is: they did the right thing by escalating an issue within Toyota and gaining approvals to fix the problem before it became a headline in the news resulting in injury and recalls.

Tom Funderburk was outstanding to work with. He was extremely patient as I was trying to decide between a hybrid or non-hybrid Avalon. At no point in the process did I feel any pressure from him. On one visit, I examined the differences in trunk space, and on a subsequent visit, he took me on a test drive. For me personally, it was a difficult to decide between the trunk space on the non-hybrid vs. the outstanding gas mileage on the hybrid. Ultimately I went with the hybrid.During the car buying process, he was extremely responsive and ultimately we were able to do everything over the phone and via email. I received a very competitive price and ended up with almost the exact configuration that I was looking for, and he nailed it for all the elements that were most important to me. The whole purchase process was painless. Tom was extremely respectful of my time, asking for as much information and documentation ahead of time so that when I did go back to the dealership to pick up my vehicle, my wait time was minimized. There is really nothing that I was disappointed by and that is due in large part to Tom's professionalism.

We originally went to Toyota of Rock Hill to take a look at a used 2009 Toyota Camry I found online. When I arrived at Toyota of Rock Hill, I was greeted by Jody Sexton. Jody talked with me a little to get better acquainted with me and the style of the vehicle we were in the market for before going to get the car I came to look at, which I definitely appreciated. His outlook on being a salesman was wonderul. We test drove that car and after driving it, we decided that we weren't sold on that particular car 100%. Jody then took us around to look at a few other cars until we found the one we loved. Once finding "the" car, Jody was very helpful and educated on all of the "extras" that the car was equipped with. Jody wasn't just trying to sell us any vehicle and he made sure we were fully satisified and also talked to us on a personal level, which I loved. He then made the process very easy for us, which was appreciated because the car buying process is usually extensive and stressful. I'm happy to say that we were very very pleased with the customer service we received and the overall experience. The dealership is very nice and everyone is very courteous. Jody was an excellent salesman and I recommend that anyone in the market for a new car give him a visit. I'm certain he'll do his very best to assist you and everything in his power to do it on your terms or the terms most beneficial to you.

What are the odds? We went immediately. Mr. Luigi "Gino", took us for a test drive and I really tested it. Gino was very knowledgeable about the mini van and answered all of our questions. We agreed on the price, negotiated on the financing, and had a deal. There was a hiccup between the lender & Toyota's finance dept that was ironed out. I Absolutely would stay away from this dealership. Brandon Harris was the finance guy who talked us into buying an extended warranty and lied to us about what it covered. He told us it was a "concierge service" where we dropped our key off at the front desk and had our oil changed, tires rotated, etc....and that was all covered under one of the warranties. The second warranty we bought covered (according to Brandon Harris) covered the 30,000 mile/ 60,000 mile and 90,000 mile tune ups FREE of cost to us......along with any mechanical issues that arise. For this reason we agreed to purchase the rather costly warranties. Imagine our surprise when we showed up for our 30,000 mile tuneup thinking it was completely paid for. It was NOT. None of what the finance guy told us was true. We contacted David Hart. He apologized. Said Brandon was no longer with the dealership for reasons such as that. No offer to help us cancel the warranties, etc. So we have been trying for SIX months to get the warranty cancelled. You have to go through the dealership to do this....and it takes 90 days? or so I am told. Every time we call the dealership we are told a different story....the check will be mailed to you....the check will be mailed to the dealership....the check will be desposited in your checking account....today we finally found out one of the warranties was cancelled but was applied to our loan balance....which is fine but why didn't anyone know this. So we have vowed not to do business with Toyota of Rock Hill again.......Beware if you choose to....

Prior to me driving an hour to get to this place to look at the vehicle after communicating via email with the salesman Mr. Fanning, I arrived test drove this car. There was popcorn in the car and it appeared that someone had been driving the car for personal use. It did not smell clean either. I debated on the vehicle and negotiated the price. After discussing prior to going there I had my own financing arranged prior to purchasing already. They made 3 seperate offers on my trade which was worth more then the initial offer made, and they were rude and not very interested in meeting me where I needed to be or customer service friendly at all. Matter of fact it seems as though once they realized I had declined there financing they basically no longer wanted to even help me or make a deal. Mr. Fanning did not even say bye or thanks for coming or anything. He walked away and was rude. His finance manager was not very customer friendly and didnt seem to care either. I asked that they come down a little more off the car and the deal would have been done. Funny enough the NEXT day the car is listed on the website for the exact amount I offered them and the amount it would have taken for me to purchase it! I was so upset, because I wanted the car but I could not bring myself to do business with such rude people who could care less about customer satisfaction or customer service! Then to see it listed as REDUCED the next day for the price I asked them to accept.. made me so upset. Such a disappointment.

The General Manager contacted me after reading an earlier posted review and made an offer to trade the car in on something else on the lot. I did not see anything at the time and kept checking for almost another two weeks. I contacted him back and expressed my frustration over not being able to drive my new car or find one on his lot. At this time, I asked if he would be willing to purchase the vehicle back from me. He agreed because he wanted to provided good customer service. I lost $1,500.00 in the two week time, but I was thankful to him for making me this offer. When I returned the car, Steven in the service area was incredibly helpful. Everything in the finance area went smoothly and I was treated with much respect. The dealership is the largest Toyota dealership I have been in and they have much to offer. This was a hard learning experience for me. I will ask for a longer test drive, preferably one overnight from now on. I thank Toyota of Rock Hill for making it right.

I found the car I have been looking for on the Internet. The vehicle seemed to be priced MUCH lower than I have found anywhere else. I was sure it was too good to be true! I submitted an online business form expressing my interest. The next morning I received an email and call from Jack Conway who told me the car had been sold that morning (strange since the online posting said it had been on the lot for 90 days, but possible.) Jack assured me that they had a selection of cars just like it on the lot though, and set an appointment for me with Tucker Campion. I told Jack I was looking for a specific model and nothing else. After driving 20 miles from Charlotte, I was passed off to another sales rep who said he would bring the car for me to see. The car he brought was over twice the price of the one online! I told him that I had explained to Jack that I was looking for a specific car in a specific price range. The salesman told me this was the only vehicle I was looking for on the lot. He then explained that the Internet Sales group is in Boston, Massachusetts and don't have access to all vehicles on the lot. Basically I fell for the old bait and switch. I suspect the car I saw never existed for the price. I've also been told that car dealers never leave a vehicle on Site for more than 60 days. So the 90 day reason for the incredible price cut was phony as well. I certainly don't recommend this dealer to anyone!

First of all David Bowles is your best service advisor, in my opinion! He has handled the service on my 2009 Venza from the beginning, though, at times, I have had a few different ones in his absence. He makes it his business to understand my needs and desires he has NEVER try to over sell me but treats me like I am his only customer that particular day. I recently ordered tires through another service advisor because David was off that day and when I brought my car in for the scheduled appointment there werent any tires. Surprise! I ordered Bridgestone Ecopias and yesterday when I came back for the installation of the new tires they werent Ecopias but Falkens and one other Firestone tire option. When David brought this to my attention, he and the service associate could see my disappointment but it all ended quite well. I got a set of Bridgestone tires (same as the originals) and he didnt try to push me to a brand he knew I didnt want. He wanted to make sure I was happy with what I was investing in for my car. That is first-class customer service. After each service, my car always comes back to me cleaner than when it went in. The pride your service team takes in their work shows through each and every time I visit your dealership.I must also recognize one more person. Gerrat kindly took the time yesterday to sit with me to connect my new cell phone to the Bluetooth system, leading me through the steps and answering all my questions. He didnt run through it so fast that I couldnt see or understand what he was doing. Instead he was teaching me how to connect it.Both David B. and Gerrat are examples of true customer service and that is what keeps me coming back to your dealership for service instead of using a local mechanic for my service needs. Mr. Hart,We are from Pittsburgh PA and our Prius had a water pump problem and had to be towed twice, Our final destination was your dealership. It was 5:15 on Friday night, we had called and spoke with David Bowles, letting him know we were being towed in. Upon arrival David listened as we told our story and showed sincere concern and compassion that our vacation was ruined. Unfortunately the part had to be shipped from Florida and would not arrive until Tuesday. David gave us a loaner and sent us on our way to Charleston. I just wanted to let you know what a wonderful experience I had with your facility this weekend. Your service guys and gal...are the greatest. I have an 08 Toyota Scion, X-D. (Which thanks to your guys, does not stand for DIRTY, anymore.) I recently noticed my Scion was kinda growling at me. I drive A LOT, and it was a little scary. So, we took it to an independent mechanic who said the water pump was bad, and suggested I take it to you guys to get it fixed, said something about it being a manufacturer's defect or something. I agreed, reluctlantly because, well..my last car buying and fixing experience was for the birds. Ugh, Terrible. I had an issue during the summer with my AC, and took it to Carmax in Pineville, which is who I purchased the car and the extended warranty from. It was nightmarish, took two trips to get it fixed, wouldn't give me a loaner car and returned my car a mess, and I had to put the parts back together. And don't even get me started about the actual car buying experience. Your guys cleaned my car, inspected it and actually fixed what was wrong...and Mr David found another recall while we were there and we got that fixed that as well. My husband and I visited Toyota of Rock Hill with the intention of purchasing a new vehicle. Not only did we purchase our intended vehicle (2012 4Runner), we traded in our '99 Corolla for a brand new one. Rock Hill Toyota exceeded our expectations. Our sales person, Tom Cook, was intelligent, well-spoken, patient, never pushy, and he showed us every feature and benefit of the vehicles we were purchasing. He took the time to work with us and he paid attention to our needs. Our business manager, Gary Hampton (we did not see his name on this survey's list of employees!)explained the products offered, in great detail. He offered us a clear understanding of our financing options, incentives and warranty. We appreciated his professionalism and attention to detail. We are new to the area and he went out of his way to make us feel welcome. We purchased our car at this dealership 2 years ago. In the two years, the service we have received has gotten progressively worse. It started with 2.5 hour oil changes (even when an appointment was made). This was at the old location so we had hopes the new one would solve this. Especially since we had a service care packages, we "have" to go to a dealer to get an oil change. The second to last oil change took 4 hours even though we made an appointment and were ontime, and they knew we were waiting.The last straw was our last appointment. We made one for Saturday at 7:15. I made notes we wanted oil change, 20k service done, check out the noise on the loud engine (it has already started to get louder at only 2 years old, and finally repair the door dings since we purchased an extra warranty for that. Since we didn't want to be late we dropped off the car the night before in the drop box. (I even made a note of this on the service request). I called at 12:30 Saturday and they didn't even have our paperwork/key. They said they would call back. 30 min later, still didn't heard from them, so I called again. Finally someone told me nothing was done with our vehicle and they would get started on it but would call me back for a time frame on when we could pick it up. A little while later I get another call and finally a lady tells me that their body guy isn't in until Tuesday, so they cant look at it until then. Our options were to leave it there for a few days or do another drop off/pick up. We opted to leave the car for the few days. They told us they would call once he looks at our carForward to Wednesday Morning, we didn't receive a reply on Tuesday. My assumption is they worked on it so I call them at 9 am Wed. to see if its ready. Its not. Gentlemen on the phone says he can call me back once he finds out what is going on. I get a call about an hour later saying the body shop guy needs to look at it on Wednesday because he didn't get the car since "my personal attendant" was out of the office Tuesday. Needless to say I am starting to get very annoyed.He calls me back at 5:30 to tell me that there is too much hail damage on the car for them to be able to repair it and that I will need to take it to a body shop and while they fix the hail they can fix the dings (which should be done under the warranty). They assure me I can file an insurance claim and comprehensive coverage should cover it. Its nice to know, but I didn't want the hail damage repaired, I wanted the door dings repaired. At this point I decided I am just going to pick up my car and go to another dealer.We get there and without a single queue we have to stand around while other people who arrive after us are helped. Again because our "personal attendant" is not available.We find out they recommend them not working on any of our dings because the warranty that gives you "worry free" coverage on door dings doesn't cover if the paint gets chipped/damaged. Seriously when do you ever get a ding that is not caused by hail and does not cause any damage to the paint (almost never). So this warranty that the fiance guy told us that would cover any body damage smaller than a credit card, is completely useless. I am fine with the fact it doesn't cause paint but if they have to specifically disclose hail is not cover in the purchase process of a new vehicle, you would think paint damage would be another thing that would be specified.So in short, it took a week, all we got was our oil change/20k mileage. They told us there is no noise that is abnormal but it is noticeably louder so we will take it to another dealership to get it checked out. And for the dings they don't want to work on them because they may need paint work.The bad experience comes from the constant waits, no communication, loss of paper work and the inaccurate description of the exterior body warranty we purchase with our new vehicle.At the conclusion our rep did offer us a rental and they could take a second look at the body damage the following Tuesday, but at this point we had no hope they would do it nor do it in a timely matter. So we took our vehicle and we will start to use a different dealership in the future.

I am not happy at all about our purchase with this dealership!!! The pricing was not good and i wish i didnt need a car, and i really regret ever buying one from them! They said they would transfer our service to Scott clark for our free oil changes and service bc we live closer to there and it was not. They NEVER notified our insurance company of our new car, like 100% of dealerships do. And i asked to bring the car back because it was less than 3 days, and they refused to let us, even though any dealership ive ever been through, allows that. This car buying experience was a 10 in my book! Kelsey is extremely knowledgable on the product he sells. He took the time to listen to what I wanted and went the extra mile! After thinking I would be at the dealership for HOURS, he spoke to Kyle (Pit Bull...what I call the "pen" managers, but he's more like a kitten) and offered a price that suited what I was looking for. They both worked on different scenarios to keep my payment where I wanted it. The service I received was EXCEPTIONAL!! We found out when we went for an oil change 5 months later that none of the paper work had been turned in to the warranty company. After a number of other disappointments we ended up canceling the warranty contracts and trading in the vehicle (for a new honda). This dealership is top notch because its employees treat you with respect and are not pushy. We got the first Prius C and Oscar Carcamo was great through the whole process! He is very patient and helpful; recommend him to all! (Also talked to another customer who bought an Avalon from him, and loved him, as well!) David Hart was very helpful was well! Ken Kirchinger in Finance stayed until we were finished even though he had to stay beyond his time because he wanted to be sure we were taken care of 100% to completion! The Prius C is fabulous, it gets far better than 53mpg city; we've been getting in the 60's and 70's; ride is magnificent, also! I found Customer Service at Toyota of Rock Hill second to none. We purchased our 2007 Sienna from them in April 2011. At the first Service appointment in September 2011, the dashboard air bag warning light was flashing. The Service department diagnosed that the passenger front seat air bag needed to be replaced for about $900 for parts plus the cost of many hours of labor. I declined as we didn't have cash to cover this unexpected expenditure. I was disappointed the Platinum warrant service, which we purchased with this vehicle, excluded any loss relating to air bag equipment. When I scheduled for 60k miles service on January 19, 2012, I remembered David Kitts' courteous attention & smile and I chose him as my Service Advisor. I asked him for another estimate of the air bag replacement. When they were done with my service, David reported they had again looked at the air bag system. They found the cable bunched up by objects under the seat and, when objects were removed and they straightened cable & cleared codes, the warning light went off and stayed off during their testing. David advised me to call him right away if the light came on again. I was very excited and pleased with the effort David made to resolve this significant safety system deficiency. This was an unexpected New Years gift!However, the warning light came back on again on January 24! I called David and set an appointment for the next day. At this time, David informed me that his management had decided to repair the air bag system at their cost. Exceptional, extraordinary, and superior were the words of my appreciation for this decision. The parts were ordered and, 2 days later, I left my Sienna with David in the AM, was driven home & returned by dealers van (felt treated as a king), and, with great relief from the continued worry that the air bag system would not function when needed, drove home with a broad smile on my face! Toyota of Rock Hill has a very satisfied customer whose loyalty is solid! Thank you for your care.

Sale manager outright lied to me. Told me they could beat my credit union interest rate, but it was 6.5% higher than what I would have gotten at my CU. They also screwed up the registration on the car I bought and somehow managed to screw up the registration on my other car that had nothing to do with the sale, they could not seem to fix it and I had to go to the DMV myself and fix it, nor would they refund the fees they charged me to handle the registration. I thought I was getting a good price on the car, but later found that untrue when they added on all kinds of fee etc at the close of the sale. I've bought 20 or so cars in all my years some from private sellers and some from dealers. I can say this was the worst experience I ever had with a dealership. After they get your signature on the sale, you are dirt to them.

Do not go to this dealership as they do NOT honor their deals. Also, one of the sales staff was argumentative and insulting about another brand of car. We were promised 0% financing on a car IN WRITING but after the deal was done, we were told that we received "incentives" and no 0% was available. We were NEVER told we were being given any incentives. They are either imcompetent or dishonest. Called Toyota corporate and they were of NO help. Great Service, Friendly Staff, Wonderful Experience! The phone call scheduling the servie, was simple. Appointment reminders via e-mail and phone message. I was able to drop my truck off at a time that was convenient for me and my work schedule. The shuttle service to work was apperciated and pleasant. Best car buying experience EVER!!! Debbie found the car I wanted and arranged for the vehicle to be transfered the next day. I drove 2 hours to the dealership and was pleasantly surprised at the work environment; no stress, fun and professional. I was in and out of the dealership in less than two hours and that was just because someone was in front of us for financing. Debbie went through the entire car and how everything worked to include the blue tooth feature. I drove off the lot and had no buyer remorse whatsoever and I actually told a co-worker that I would go back tomorrow and do it again. It really was that enjoyable. So, its not quite like the the guy who said...".....I liked it so much that I bought the company!", but lightening did strike TWICE! After buying a new 4 Runner for my son, my wife really liked the vehicle. She liked it so much that I bought her one too. Being the skeptical guy that I am, I shopped a second time. And, the results were the same. At the end of the day, a lot of chrome and glass, coupled with high pressure sales and the option for a nail salon would have cost me thousands more....for the same car. The experience with Rock Hill Toyota was terrific. New GM Jack Brennan is reinventing this dealership and he's making a difference. I see a change in just the 90 days between my purchases. The weird thing is that I've been conditioned over the years that buying a car is a horrible experience. Just the "shopping experience" reinforced that for me over the last six months. However, the team at Toyota of Rock Hill was 180 degrees different. I was treated with respect. I wasn't pressured. I was priced fairly. And, everyone took time to greet me and make sure I was happy. It didn't matter what "unhappy" looked like, they were committed to fix it. They wanted to earn my business rather than make me feel like I owed THEM for their investment in a huge dealership building. The big building and an elevator to the cars may be important to some people. But, for me, business is still about people doing business with people. From the first moment I engaged Toyota of Rock Hill on the first vehicle, until the time I drove away with the second vehicle, they were regular people out to grow their business the old fashioned way---by taking care of me, the customer.I can't say enough positive about this team. I paid $14 for a Consumer's Report special pricing list for a 2011 Highlander Hybrid LTD with navigation and was given this dealership as a participant in that program. Internet sales are arranged by John who is I later found out is actually located in Massachusetts. He led me to believe that he was at the dealership in Rock Hill, SC. He made an appointment for me with Jose at 10:15am on Saturday morning. I was told that there were 3 models on the lot for the above specs. He told me the exterior colors and got back to me with the interior colors. I asked for Jose's direct contact number. On Saturday I was running late so I called Jose but the person answering the voice mail was not Jose. I then called the general dealership number and they said that the cell phones had been switched recently and that Jose was not supposed to be there until 11am. Fortunately that was the time I expected to arrive. When I got there I was met by Greg who said he would go get Jose. After waiting a while & chatting Jose didn't come so Greg said he'd take me out to see the cars on the lot. After driving around the lot several times we could not find the year,model, package combination that I wanted. He suggested I drive one of the models they had which was a 2010 but I wanted to drive the exact model that I wanted to buy. When we went back in Jose finally came over and we met. They couldn't tell why the 3 models I was told were in stock weren't. Although everyone was nice I felt that the whole experience was very unprofessional and unorganized.

My experience with this dealer and especially the sales representative was outstanding. There was no hassell, no long waiting and the service was courteous and effecient. This was by far the best new car buying experience that I have ever had. I will recommend this dealership and sales representative. I had done my homework with regard to pricing and options. This dealership is under new ownership and it SHOWS!! My wife and I just bought a brand new minivan from them and it was the BEST experience I have ever had with a dealership. Everybody was very friendly and had very positive attitudes. We did not get the feeling that we were being pressured at all (which is the case with most dealerships). Our salesperson, Debbie, was very knowledgeable, friendly, and patient (we had our 2 month old baby with us). My wife had to feed the baby a couple of times and she was kind enough to find us a private room. I was very impressed by her ability to address all of our questions and concerns. And, the great customer service did not stop at Debbie. Jose, the sales manager, was extremely nice and it was a pleasure to work with him as well. When we went in the 2nd day, he remembered little things about our first visit which made us feel welcome and not just "another number". The business manager, Ken, was also very friendly and very professional. And, to top it all off, we got a great deal on our minivan! They did such an amazing job right off the bat, that we did not need to "shop around". It was nice because we really didn't have the time to be running around looking for the best deal and customer service. I just bought a new Tacoma from this dealership and had a different kind of experience. Where at other dealerships I wasn't given the time of day I was promptly greeted by Morgan who took my information, asked what I was interested in, and offered a test drive. Morgan was great to deal with! After the test drive I was expecting the "high pressure showdown" when it came to price, but it never happened. We agreed on the pricing and in a few days I came back in when it was convenient for me to pick up my new truck. Cornell offered all the options as far as extended warranty plans (I put a ton of miles on my vehicles and he was very helpful explaining what would work best for me. Very personable, not-in-a-hurry guy to deal with. Shortly after I purchased the vehicle, I had the dealership's service department install an XM radio. Holley arranged for me to drop off my truck one evening, worked me into her busy schedule and had everything ready to go the very next day-very professional. I have since already had my truck back by for the 5000 mile service. Again, I waited until the last possible minute to schedule the appointment, but these guys made a spot for me and I had my truck back by 9:30 the next morning. They really seemed like they understood my schedule and were more than willing to make adjustments on the fly to accommodate to meet my needs. Driving as much as I do I cannot be without wheels for long!I have already recommended this dealership to two others and will continue to do so!

Morgan was able to find the perfect new Scion XB for my son's graduation present! We received a great deal because Morgan went to bat for us and pushed to get the loaded Scoin into our budget! Both my son and I left happy knowing that we got the most auto for the money and we had Morgan who folled up with getting the clear coat done, and ensured all the paperwork was handed as I had to travel out of town that same day! I visited Toyota of Rock Hill because I previously owned a FJ Cruiser and was very satisfied with the vehicles driving performance. I have to say that I was hesitant to buy from this dealership again because I had an unpleasant experience with the previous owners of the dealership (Harrelson Toyota). As soon as I stepped into the facility I could feel a positive, friendly vibe. Unlike my first visit when I purchased the FJ. I was greeted by a young lady whose name was Morgan Meszaros. She was energetic, and very friendly. She ask me what I was looking for and showed me a few cars, which we also test drove. She was very patient and seemed genuinely concerned for my needs. I found the car that best met my needs with the help of Morgan's advice. When we talked out the price she was very professional and helpful. Another person who went out of his way to help me with the financial transaction was Robert Lowman. He was so nice and had a good sense of humor. Both Morgan and Robert have contacted me a few times after my purcase of the car to see if I was still satisfied. Overall my buying experience at Toyota of Rock Hill was great. I have since referred a couple of friends and will continue to. In the future I plan to purchase other vehicles from them and hopefully through Morgan.

My wife and I had been searching for a Toyota Camry and this dealership had the best prices online around Charlotte. I was put in touch with Morgan Meszaros whom eventually sold us our car. She was so patient with my wife and I and was genuinely interested in our needs and what we were looking for. She showed us what they had available and could do for us and it lined up with what we were looking for. While doing the paperwork, I noticed the salespeople really enjoyed being around each other and were friends, which made the entire atmosphere very pleasant. Morgan even bought us pizza while we were waiting, what a great experience! We will be going back to Morgan to purchase future vehicles.

Simply outstanding. Jack is taking the role re-making this dealership very seriously. When is the last time you saw the GM in a car dealership? Did he make an effort to meet you and say "Hi"? Did he take time to get to know why you came to that store? Did he take time to thank you--on behalf of his 75 employees and families that your purchase supported? Jack did all those things. Clearly there is a "new sheriff in town" at Toyota of Rock Hill. Other dealers wanted my money and my time. Jack and his team wanted my business. There is a huge difference. Like most of America, I hate the car buying experience. At Toyota of Rock Hill I had to pinch myself to keep remembering that I was in the midst of buying a car! Smooth transaction, straight forward pricing, no "Scam stickers" for "magic wax" or "miracle floor mats", just a straight up transaction from guys who want a customer not a car sale. You can probably find bigger dealers with more inventory and more chrome and glass....maybe even a snack bar and a nail salon. But, you won't find a team more committed to reinventing itself than the guys and girls at Toyota of Rock Hill. Get your nails done somewhere else, but buy your Toyota from a team that is sincerely concerned about earning your business and having you feel good about the experience. The guys here were very helpful and friendly. I did not feel pressured to buy a car. They were happy to answer all of my questions. I would definitely recommend them to anyone- even if you have to drive to get to them. (I had to drive 1.5 hours and I would do it again.) They were very honest and upfront- which I have not found at any other car dealership that I have shopped at. It will be our first stop the next time someone in my family needs to buy a vehicle.

This is the worst dealership I have ever dealt with. I received a mailing from them stating how valuable used Toyota's were to them. They stated they would pay top dollar even if you didn't buy a car from them. I drove down there and spoke to a salesman who was very unpleasant when he learned that I did not want to buy a car from him. I was only interested in their buy-back program. He took my information, my key and walked away. After 5 minutes he gave me the insulting price of $3000.00. They did not drive the vehicle and I don't think they even walked outside to look at it. I have received an offer of $6400.00 from another dealer that I wasn't going to purchase a vehicle from either. I have never been so insulted in my life and I will certainly never buy a car from this dealership. They had a big banner stating new ownership. Everyone be warned. You do not want to do business with Toyota of Rock Hill..

I was having a very hard time with finding a quality car at a good price with my line of credit...To say the least I was very skeptical about going to another major car dealership versus a buy here pay here place..But Shane called me after receiving my application the next day I submitted it and he told me to come see him..He was firm professional and straight forward it made me feel confident about working with him and putting my past experiences with the other dealerships behind me... When I got there with my son everyone was extremely friendly. Shane did not waste anytime we got straight to the point which I loved I mean who wants to sit around at a dealership all day long and after wasting all that time they couldnt help you...But not Harrelson. I told Shane my price range once what I am looking for once and thats all it took he DELIVERED.. There wasnt alot of repetitious questions nor over loaded paperwork! Debra Peckinpaue was very nice and helpful. She came in on her day off to help us out. She was prompt on returning phone calls.Richard Page was not very friendly. The very first day I called to ask about the vehicle, he was the sales person I spoke to. I asked if it had a dvd player and he said "I thik so." He never looked to make sure but it was also my fault for not asking for someone to go and look.My husband and I purchased the vehicle; on the way home we noticed a small problem with the car. I called to report this problem about the vehicle 2 days later and to ask a few questions. I felt that he could care less what I had to say. He told me to get back with him in 24 hours if the problem persits. I also asked about the lien holder on the account because my issuranc company wanted to know. He couldn't give me that information because the paper work was locked up in someones office. But now when we were buying the vehicle he was attentive and wanted to hear what we had to say but at the same time was very pushy with the sale. I don't like to be pressured.PS My husband and I drove an hour and a half to get there and the least that could be done was to feel respected as a buyer. This is how I felt on the sale; I don't know how my husband feels.

Mwife and I had been looking for a couple of weeks for a FJ cruiser, visited dealer in Lake Norman,NC. and were told no FJ avaiable and it appeared to us they did not need business, we were not impressed.... Saw an ad in paper for Harrelson in SC.next weekend and headed that way. Met Clark Bush on lot and he immediately showed us a new FJ and although we learned from Richard Page it was sold they checked and found just what we were looking for at a dealer in Ga. arrangements were made and the following Friday we picked upour new vehichle.Awesome!!!
