2014 Tacoma access cab..First visit at this dealer
Relaxed and no high pressure experience. Stopped by the dealer about an almost new Tacoma truck with very low miles at 2 evenings in a row for test drives. Sales rep. Frank Taylor was pleasant to work with, got the price down a bit that I felt was fair and he even was able to help me get it home. This is my first Toyota purchase and I would recommend this dealer and Frank to family and friends. Loving my truck. Only dislike is the doc fee.
Z is an awesome associate!!
Z was extremely helpful. I was helping my mother find a car and we were approached by Z Kahn. Normally when I'm approached buy Customer Service, they try to overwhelm the conversation. Z let us carefully describe what we were looking for and went above and beyond to find the car she desired. I will hold on to his card until it's time for my next purchase.
I went there to get my scion looked at to see what navigation disc I needed and after a misunderstanding of my wait being 2 hours. It was all worth it and Blake and one of the other gentlemen made sure I was taken care of appropriately. Even though I had to wait for awhile I will be back for service on my car due to all their help and concern of their customers.

If you are looking to buy/lease a vehicle, I highly recomend going to Blake Poteat. Buying a new vehiclr can be a stressful time, but Blake does a great job at easing that pressure. I went in to trade a vehicle to lower my expenses and he worked with what my budget was, and found the car for me. He truly cares about his customers!
Worst in the business
This dealership I believe is the worse dealer in the country. There employees are rude and not very honest. They change there word and try to add things you told them you were not interested. The service area is the same they constantly push things other mechanic say are not necessary. I would not set foot in this place ever. The best thing is if there close there doors. By the way not locally owned.

This was my first time at this dealership. Unfortunately, things went wrong right from the beginning of the sale. My loan took forever to be process due to the fact the dealer never sent my service contract to the credit union. After I followed up with the credit union and called the dealership ironically the credit union receive the service contract. Also keep in mind I'm still waiting for my old loan to be paid off, however this can't be done until all till my loan is funded. FINALLY, over a month goes by and my loan is finally funded. BUT WAIT IT GETS BETTER....The accounting department wrote the check out to the wrong person, and the check got sent back. Instead of being sympathetic the accounting department tried to tell me that they have to wait to get the old check back to re issue another check, even though it was their fault!!! I ended up speaking to a manager and luckily they were able to reissue a check and have it sent out. Several times I tried to reach out to my salesperson Gus, and never once did I feel like he was sympathetic or wanting to help me ,he just pushed me off to other departments and basically I had to follow-up myself with everything. This has been one horrible experience and I will never ever purchase a car from them, if I can return the car right now I would do so in a hot minute. Also when I had to get my temporary tags extended, the reception put the wrong month on them! I have been driving with expired temporary tags I definitely was not a happy camper. I had to call and they had to overnight the correct dates . Moral of the story is this dealership really needs to get their communication game right and do a better job on communicating with customers from the beginning of the process to the end . What a nightmare!!

I started my buying process on the internet. Steve Woodard was the salesperson that contacted me. Steve was wonderful to work with due to the fact that he does not try and push you into the "you need to buy now" mentality that a lot of car sales people have that I have dealt with before at other dealers. I have been shopping for about a year for a car. I had avoided car lots and dealers because of high pressure salesman. I had some time recently and stopped in at Toyota of Murfreesboro. I had the pleasure of being greeted by salesman Tariq Abuzahra. He was very pleasant to do business with and listened to my needs and what I wanted in a car. Sad buyer12/17/2015Reason For VisitSales (Used)"Even if I wasn't screwed over, I feel like it. "Salesman Mike Batts came rushing to meet my elderly mom and I as soon as we opened our car doors at the dealership. "How can I help you?" That started my current used car buying experience. Like others listed in this rating forum that unfortunately I did not read before going to TOM, I was told by Mike that darn it the cars that I had pulled from the internet to look at were already sold. He didn't even pause. I said I wanted to look around. He started his sales routine. 'Well what ya lookin for in a car?' I told him. Well here. Look at this one. A pretty white Nissan Altima. Looks good. Lets drive it. Drives good. Seems good. Lets go look at gettin you in this car. I asked for the Carfax which showed no problems, no wrecks. Good. I had a good deal of cash to put on it. I refused to take the car without some warranty. I was told You can't get a warranty without financing some. So the money man takes over for Mike. My deal, right now, feels like I've been cheated. The car had a 'check engine' light. I told mike I didn't want it if something was wrong with it. He said "Let me get it checked". Minutes later, he said "it's nothing. A small part that we will put in will fix it." Ok so I go for it. I agree to finance a warranty and the remaining amount on the car. The money man said 'he'd GIVE me the Permaplate treatment on the car with the purchase of the warranty. I am embarassed to say I did what I have sworn to 'never do again' I trusted them. So Mike got the car washed and ready for me to take. Somewhere along the way Mike lost his dealer plate and he keeps hinting that I stole it like I'd have a use for it Now after bringing the car back for the simple part and the Permaplate and the huge mess made of this by Mike who did not do what he was supposed to do, I am highly ticked off by the treatment I received from Mike Batts, the service dept manager who sassily told me "I can't just give you a car from the lot" because mike didn't have a loaner car set up before I got there. Mike's sassiness to me like it was all my fault and then his last snotty attitude when he finally got me a loaner, he had to make one more comment about someone stealing his dealer tag and then just plopped the loaner keys in my hand and walked away. I told him again I did not have his dealer tag. Now I have my new used car back and I go over the paperwork I signed in trust only to find that I will pay for the permaplate along with all else. So yes I feel cheated and doubt my car and once again hate car dealers. Ps. Mike said the dealership would fill the gas tank when the part was installed-last lie. Also very next morning the same light came right back on. Regretfully dissapointed.
Awesome car buying experience
Gus took the headache out of buying a car. I don't buy new cars, but I got myself in a mess with a used car and they traded my car sight unseen. Holly in finance makes sure you understand what you are getting. She explains the warranty process very well. I recommend and this dealership.

Z found exactly what I asked for color and all explained all the bells and whistles. We went for a test drive and in a few minutes the deal was done. I found him to be friendly honest and a pleasure to deal with and I will recommend him to everyone I come in contact with looking to buy a new car. This was the second car we bought from him.

I would say this was the easiest truck I have purchased and I have bought many. I will recommend Toyota of Murfreesboro to everyone . Mr.Smith took really excellent care of us we found the truck online inquired he responded quickly, he had a bit of a hiccup because the truck was being serviced but prevailed and made it happen for me. I only had one day committed to buy after the endless searching, This guy beyond just good service . Literally he made us comfortable as possible. Wonderful service I can't say enough about him and the staff.
Buy a car elsewhere
11/11/15 My husband and I bought a Lexus from there. We would never ever recommend them to anyone. They remind me of a slick used car dealership. They tried to add all kinds of services. We bought some service contract with Lexus of Nashville. We were lied to and told that Lexus knew them well. When we contacted Lexus, they had never heard of Sean..the guy who told us Lexus of Nashville knew him well. Cancelling that was a disaster. We had to call the GM. Finally Holly was the only one who knew what was going on. Brenda, the sales person, told us the spots on the Lexus would come off. We dropped our car off for the repair guy and we called and Brenda said they came out good. When we went to get the car, the spots were still there. Not sure why she lied..did she think we wouldn't notice? We emailed both her and Sean about different things and no response after we tried multiple times to contact them. I would stay away from this place. We have had great experiences with other dealers but this one is not one of them. It is a scam. They tell you anything to get your money.
Beware of the Service contract
We purchased a pre owned Camry. It had about 30,000 miles, and Toyota of Murfreesboro said that a lifetime powertrain warranty came with it. When we went in to sign, we were told that we only get the powertrain warranty if we take the maintenance plan. The plan is another $800. We were told that it would not be a problem to get oil changes and service (I specifically asked because we have had long waits there). Our first oil change, we made the appointment and still had to wait over an hour. Now for the second oil change we are told that the first available appointment is in 2-3 days. My wife was told that she could drop the car off and they will drop her off at work. All this for an oil change....Mobile 1 can do this in 15-20 minutes. We were mislead about the powertrain warranty and the convenience of the maintenance plan.

Bait and Switch
Long story short....Mike Nobles, Internet Sales Manager, called and said "Great news, we are going to accept your offer for the car you asked about." It was a red 2012 Camry SE...SE is the key point here. I knew what exactly what I wanted and what I would pay for it. Needless to say, I was excited. After setting up an appointment time of 6:45 pm, it was all set to go. My husband got off work early so we left early. The whole time we were texting back and forth with Mike to let him know we were on our way. his response was "Great. See you in a little while.Woo-hoo...I'm getting the car I've been waiting for. NOT!Mike and his sidekick Steve met us outside and was leading us to an LE not SE. I looked at Mike and said "This deal was for an SE". He said I'm sorry, that one sold right before you got here. Found my new Tacoma
I've been looking for a new Tacoma double cab with a long bed. There were certain things I was looking for that I wanted. This would be my 2nd Tacoma. Blake Poteat was very helpful and patient and answered all my questions. Vehicle purchasing can be a real hassle, but Blake made it hassle-free. I know buying a car is rough and used cars are never perfect but mine had to go to the shop the next day because the windows magically stopped working. And yes, I had to pay for it. My friend bought from here and like mine, the next day it died and was in the shop for a week. But that doesn't even touch why I would not go back here... I never asked for additional warranties or anything but as a first time -female- car buyer, they added everything they could and I knew the car salesman so I did not pay as much attention to the details as I should have because I TRUSTED them. Well, I shouldn't have. After I realized how I had been taken advantage of, I went to the finance guy, Will, to fill out the papers to cancel the additional warranties and get the $ back. After he told me he was too busy to see me at the moment, I sat down anyways. He put the paper in front of me and told me to sign it. Learning from my mistake before, I asked questions first and that irritated him greatly and he was persistent about changing my mind to cancel. I signed because it was my decision to make. That was in March. June came around and nothing had happened. So I contact them again, they said they would email the paper work again. Didnt happen. So I went to the dealership yet again! Signed the papers after Will, trying to change my mind again, didn't even know how long the warranty was for. It is September and still nothing has been done. I've emailed the owner, Andy, and no word back. I'm not at all satisfied with them adding stuff that wasn't asked for, then treating me like garbage because I'm not giving them more money, and having to take so much time for nothing to happen in return. Through all this the salesman, Kaissi, was just that...a salesman...who had no knowledge of anything but being able to talk his way to a deal. He coukd never answer questions for me nor remembered anything abiut the deal, didbt even show me the carfax history report after i asked for it. I will never shop here again and I will never recommend this dealership to anyone. Again, I should have taken an experienced car buyer with me or not trusted the salesman who was a personal friend. I do admit those mistakes.

Great sales experience!
I was recently shopping for a new or used car. I hate buying a car; due to the "games" most dealerships play. This was NOT the case at Toyota of Murfreesboro. My wife and I stopped in one evening and were met by Blake Poteat, Sales Consultant. He was friendly, courteous, and never pressured us in any way. I told him I was two weeks away from being ready, and he said to please let him know if there was anything in particular that I was interested and he would try and find it for me. In the meantime, I visited another dealership in town, What a mistake; I was called every day after my visit; both to my office and to my cell phone. It was close to being harassed! I finally told the other dealership that they had helped to make up my mind, and that I would be returning to Toyota of Murfreesboro to see Blake. That's exactly what I did, and I couldn't be happier. I purchased a 2012 Toyota Avalon that had so few miles that it still has the "new car smell". "The salesperson, Steve Woodard, was everything one could wish for in a buying experience. He was courteous, friendly, concerned that we be completely happy, understanding of our feelings and opinions, and, while eager to accommodate us, not pushy. We liked him a lot. "We had been looking for a pre-owned vehicle, and he called to say that the dealership had three that seemed to fit within our parameters. He made room in his schedule for us to test ride them that same afternoon. We liked, but did not love, all three and were not ready to make a decision. He understood. He asked if we would consider a new vehicle and understood our reasons (both ecological and economic) for preferring pre-owned. Still, he said that after spending the time with us and getting to know our needs and preferences, he was aware of one new car that seemed to be exactly what we were looking for. Would we take a look at it? Well, OK. And he was exactly right. The Prius he showed us not only fit the bill but had been marked down substantially for the 4th of July sale. "Mr. Woodard spent a lot of time being sure we understood how to operate the car and answering all the questions we had. He even helped us clean out our trade-in. Our only disappointment was in the trade-in analysis, but Mr. Woodard did get us more than the original offer, and we accepted rather than having the hassle of selling the car ourselves."

My wife and I were discussing our options after our insurance carrier totaled our current vehicle after an altercation with a deer. During this time my wife was driving a rental, a Toyota Camry. I logged on to the ToM website and found a Camry that we wanted to look at. Within minutes Ms Brenda Sandler, an Internet associate contacted me and we set an appointment at the dealership. When we arrived at ToM we were greeted by Jonathan Russnogle, who was courteous and knowledgeable, not only about the vehicle we wished to see but the total sales process. I am normally very reserved at car dealerships but thanks to the staff at ToM the process went smoothly and we now have a newer and more fuel efficient vehicle. I must say that the staff (Sales & Service) of Toyota of Murfreesboro are excellent in every way. The service department, under Van's leadership, could not be more professional. My husband and I use their service department for both our cars and have never been disappointed in their work. The new facility is beautiful and it's very conveniently located. The staff was wonderful: polite, friendly, and very professional. I was there about 1-1/2 hours and was very glad I had brought my Kindle so I could read because the placement of the TV is very poor. They've provided customers with a beautiful large screen TV but it faces a wall of windows so it's difficult to see anything except glare. But that was the only negative part of my experience.
Muffins and TV
We have a 2013 Prius and a 2006 Avalon and have had them serviced at the old location in Murfreesboro on South Church Street many times.. The new facility is very nice, however; I was very surprised that the muffins, etc. are not longer provided at no charge to customers waiting for their car to be serviced, now a "waiting treat" must be paid for by the customer and the TV in the waiting area is beautiful but it would be better had someone thought about it's placement, you can't see the picture because all the widows reflect off the screen. All the associates were very nice, as always. I'll be going back to have a replacement part put in my Prius, hopefully; I'll get a "free" muffin while waiting :-) It's the little things that make life pleasant....
Great new facilities
I stopped by this past Saturday looking to get a new truck and in less than 3 hours I was on my way with a new Tacoma. I'm thoroughly pleased with the service I was given before,during and after the sale. I had a great salesman ( Garret Stiles ) whose enthusiasm is contagious. He was excellent with his honesty and courtesy while we worked out and deal that was best for me. I will continue to refer my friends and others to shop here as not only do they have an excellent product with Toyota, they have a great selection of other vehicles available. They offer a lifetime warranty available that made my decision easy. This is the second vehicle I have purchased from them and also recommend the service department. Just purchased a toyota highlander (AWD Limited) from the toyota dealership at 2525 S. Church Street in Murfreesbor, TN. and could not have had a better experience. Charles Ray was my dealer representative and smiled throughout the negotiation process even when it seemed we were not going to agree on the price. I went to at least five dealerships between Nashville,TN and Atlanta ,GA. but did not find a place more friendly. Everyone I talked with was cordial and cheerful. 2015 Tacoma. Thanks Garrett!
I came here on a Monday. Looking for a new truck, so I did some research before hand. I wanted to check out the Tacomas. There was a much larger selection than I could have imagined. With about a dozen different Tacomas all fitting my criteria. Garrett helped me find the one that best suited me, without regards to the price. The truck I found was beautiful and the lifetime power train warranty only helped. I was on edge at first but with the help of Garrett, the whole process was so much easier. I would definitely recommend this dealership to a friend and when you go make sure you ask for Garrett!

Very pleased with service
I've been taking my Highlander here for service since I bought it with 15,000 miles on it in 2007 from another dealer. It now has 215,000 miles and looks and runs great. I've had nothing but good experiences with the service department. Sure, I've had unforeseen repairs but I appreciated their inspections and bringing things to my attention BEFORE they turned into bigger problems or left me at the side of the road.

Before going to Toyota of Murfreesboro, we went to two other car dealers to look for a new car. We were just wasting our time since they let us go back again and again and again. 2015 Toyota Camry, great overall experience

I purchased a pre-owned Camry from TOM a month ago and was impressed with the quality of service I received. I dealt with Blake Poteat and Darron Douglas. Both were very helpful and patient. I started my search online and Cody Lutz was my internet salesman. Working with Cody online was a pleasure. I was able to do my research at home without pressure and when I was ready to look at the 2010 Corolla, Cody made sure it was ready to take for a test drive and had it parked out front. These two vehicles I bought one in Jan and one in Feb. First of all, I would like to say that Blake and the owner made my purchase experience outstanding. The owner was concerned about my purchase that he even emailed me and wanted to know what he could do on my second purchase to make it happen and for me to be satisfied. Easiest car deal I've ever done
I bought my first toyota tacoma here back in 2009 and they were amazing. I live almost 2 hrs away and it was with the trip. I recently was in the market for a new highlander so I got prices at other dealerships and this was the best one . I saved 7200 on my purchase here compared to other dealerships and it was all thanks to Jonathan DeBerry. He has been the nicest and easiest salesman I've ever dealt with. He made me feel right at home and it was the fastest deal I've ever made in my life. I highly recommend him if you need a vehicle. Do not trust the service department!
On multiple occasions I have taken my car to get it's oil changed at this location. Each time the service advisers are pushy and find something different wrong (second opinions have proved otherwise). Multiple times they have stated to "listen to a trained professional" not your husband. This dealership's service department is in it for the money and uses high pressure tactics to scare you into extra service.

I have purchased four vehicles from Toyota of Murfreesboro in the past year. My salesman all four times was Kaissi and I was able to get exactly what I wanted each time. He has always been professional and energetic. I have not found him to be pushy or overbearing. I told him what I wanted and he was able to make it happen. On two occasions he ordered what I wanted and had it on the lot within a couple of days. I will continue to be a Toyota of Murfreesboro customer because of Kaissi.

A Great Dealership
The salesman I worked with, Marty Goodbread, was outstanding. He was knowledgeable and patient with me during the process. He readily responded to email questions prior to my scheduling a test drive. He was attentive but not pushy. I traveled 90 miles to this dealership after becoming unhappy with the sales tactics used at the dealership in my town. Be sure to do your homework and research vehicles using their web page, including reading all the fine print, prior to going to the dealership. The original price I was given during the negotiations process was significantly higher than the advertised Internet price. The showroom definitely needs to be bigger and updated, but they are building at a new location which is definitely needed.
This was an amazing experience! Darren was awesome and so helpful. He worked with me and my fiance to get us a car we could afford and made sure it was safe. I went in with the intention of getting an SUV but it wouldn't work with my budget and instead of tempting me with one, he showed me other options. We were treated very well and everyone made sure we were being taken care of.

Clean ficilities, friendly people and easy to deal
A great big thank you to Brenda Sandler and Toyota of Murfreesboro. I was looking for a Toyota Tucoma on the internet and saw one that was advertised by Toyota of Murfreesboro. I answered the add and was called by Brenda, I informed her that I was interested in the truck and she said since it was so late in the day she would hold the key, pull it up to the front for me to see the next morning. The next morning the truck was in the front of the building, I loved the truck, Brenda was super nice as well as everyone at the dealership, it was very easy dealing with these people, a definite five star operation.

MY WIFE AND I VISITED THIS DEALERSHIP LOOKING FOR A USED CAR. WE WERE SHOWN 2 VEHICLES THAT DID NOT MATCH WHAT WE SAID WE WERE LOOKING FOR. WE TRIED TO DISCUSS PRICING AND THEY WERE VERRRRY HARD SALE. WHEN WE SAID WE DID NOT WANT THE CAR AND WE INFORMED THEM WE WERE READY TO LEAVE HE THEN ASKED US IF HE COULD GET HIS MANAGER TO COME OVER AND THANK US FOR STOPPING IN TO THEIR DEALERSHIP. THE MANAGER WAS VERY PERSISTENT ON MAKING A SALE. WE FELT BULLIED TO THE POINT THAT WE HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO WALK OUT. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP EVER!! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!

I bought a used car from here and one week later started having trouble with the car. The brakes and steering wheel were not working right at all. They avoided the question and emails until their 30 day period was up so they wouldn't have to pay for it. We still took it in assuming coming from a reputable car dealership they would take care of us and our car. Well was I disappointed and shocked!! They basically told us some cars just make noises and they were not willing to fix it!!!! I was very taken back and upset at the situation. Needless to say I would NOT recommend this dealership unless you want to get cheated!!!!!!!!!
Went to trade for a 4 door civic, Did not see it and told Blake I wasn't going to waste his time. Blake calmly suggested we see what he had in inventory. I had been searching for weeks for a 4 door Civic Si so my mind was stuck on that model. Blake searched inventory and asked if I would be interested in a coupe. I said I would look at it. Blake took me back to see the used inventory not yet conditioned for presentation. The advertised 4 door was still available. Upon inspecting it and the coupe suggested by Blake, I decided to test drive the coupe. I drove it and liked the performance. We went to the negotiating table. The first deal presented was not too my liking so Blake took it back and came back with something more palatable. I got to meet John Lennon from Finance next. He put together the package and informed me that it would be possible to find the interest rate for the loan would be better when the banks opened on Monday. Before I could leave the showroom, Mr. Lennon came to me and advised the bank contacted him already and the rate was significantly better than the original. My payment dropped by $30 overall which was better than I had hoped for. Blake took excellent care of me. He has the potential to be a GREAT salesman. Right attitude and enough resolve to not get frustrated after being told no. Thank You Blake. John's experience was evident and the financing process was one of the smoothest I have ever experienced. Thanks for the work finding me the better rate. Overall the experience was a very good one. Although I may not be in the market for a vehicle in the near future, the experience I had this time will make me consider Toyota of Murfreesboro first for my needs in the future.

Quick, Painless & Positive
I sent an internet inquiry & Brenda Sandler called & left voicemails for me 2 or 3 times over a period of a couple of weeks, saying she would be glad to help me find the vehicle I wanted. I finally called her back, & within about 3 days I was driving my brand new Tacoma home. I had dealt with several sales people at several Toyota dealers, some were helpful, some were not, but no one was friendlier or more helpful than Brenda. The entire process was pressure free, & they steered me in the right direction to get me the best vehicle for the money, as the one I ended up buying was actually much more vehicle than the one I "built" with the specs I wanted. In hindsight I am VERY glad they talked me into going that direction, as the one I built wouldn't have been nearly as nice, & would have cost the same. Good Product and People
For us, selecting a vehicle has never been impulsive. We are cautious, thoughtful and calculated, in our approach to analysis and decision making, when reviewing and comparing brands and models. We understand and respect personal choice. People perceive and prioritize in various ways, so there are many different vehicles and options, available. Of course, we always seek to rationalize and maximize value, for our own personal situation. Following is insight to our experience. High ratings for safety and reliability are a must have. We purchase vehicles, to own (not lease), with intent to keep and use vehicles for five or more years. For that reason, the cost of ownership is very important to us (purchase price, depreciation, resale residual, fuel efficiency, warranty, maintenance and insurance). We also pay attention to vehicle performance as we very much want a vehicle that is fun to drive. Historically, we have not purchased cars that are loaded with amenities and creature comforts. Our use of vehicles has been focused and limited; going from point A to B - safely, reliably, economically and comfortably, but not necessarily, luxuriously. For our requirements, we have owned Honda vehicles (Accord LX & EX) that have satisfied our needs and served us very well, since 1985. Now, my wife and I are recently retired. We are traveling more, and doing so, mostly, by driving. Longer trips, and much more time in the car so our value proposition has changed, somewhat. Safety, reliability, and cost of ownership are still a must. Also now, fun to drive is a must have. And too, of a higher priority, are requirements for luxury seats, a comfortable ride, a quiet cabin and more amenities. Our needs are different, but our approach to selecting a vehicle has not changed rationalize and maximize value. In 2013, I purchased an Avalon from Toyota of Murfreesboro, TN. My wife and I have thoroughly enjoyed driving this vehicle. Longer trips are so much more comfortable and less tiring. Fuel efficiency has been very impressive, too. Our satisfaction and confidence is high so much, that this past week, my wife purchased a 2014 Avalon, for herself, also from Toyota of Murfreesboro, TN. We just purchased a 2014 Camry. This is our third vehicle purchased from Toyota of Murfreesboro in the last 12 months. The experience has been excellent each time. Knowledgeable and Friendly Sales People
Darren Douglas, one of the sales persons at T.O.M, was very knowledgeable regarding my Scion TC. He was friendly and easy to talk to. He made sure that I was happy and comfortable with the purchase of my car. There was no pressure into buying. Whenever I had to call him and he was not available, he would always call me right back and answer any questions that I had after the purchase of my car. I am confident that I purchased an excellent quality car.
Great product, excellent service
We came in thinking that we would take a look at the Highlander, then move on to the next couple of dealerships to check out other brands. We had a very favorable opinion of Toyota since owning a 4 Runner, which was what we traded in. Long story short, we stayed put and bought the Highlander. We were treated so well, and frankly the quality of the Highlander was so good that we found no reason to leave. As for customer Service Our sales rep, Arielle Roides was wonderful. She had strong knowledge oft all the bells and whistles of the car and answered all our questions. Additionally she worked very hard to make sure that we received the best possible deal - very much appreciated. When it came time to signing papers, Financial Mgr Will Thomas really made the process painless. That was a pleasant surprise. Overall we were really pleased with how we were treated and wouldn't hesitate recommending this dealership.
Years of consistent service
My family has dealt with this dealership through many different owners since the early '90's. They have excellent service and provide fair deals in all of our experiences. They did not try to push products or services that are not necessary when buying a Toyota. (Don't people buy a Toyota because of its superior quality?) The process still takes forever but overall, another great experience.
Overall we had a very good experience with Toyota of Murfreesboro, and Jonathan DeBerry worked hard to help us throughout the process. Charlene, the general sales manager was also extremely informative and helpful.

I love Toyota! I have a 1995 Corolla with 250K miles that I purchased new upon graduation from college. It is now our extra car due to the money saving fuel mileage. My husband still drives it to and from work everyday. I've purchased other brand vehicles over the years because I thought I couldn't really afford Toyota. Recently, my family was in the market for a different vehicle, so we just stopped by Toyota of M'boro to look around. I was in the market for a good value on a used car. I was very hesitant to go the dealership route based on past experience. On previous visits to car dealerships, I have encountered high pressure sales staff who were less than enthusiastic when they learned I wasn't buying a high price new vehicle. This experience could not have been easier or more pleasant. The ad contained a detailed Carfax report and enough photos to know the Camry was a good option. I was able to do my research online and emailed a few questions. Within minutes, Arielle Roides called and answered our questions and asked how she could help. I was treated with respect and as a valued customer even though I was buying a lower price used vehicle. This is how car buying should be!
A Great Place To Buy A Car
I checked out a quote online to trade my car, and Brenda Sandler returned my request in less than 10 minutes. After a few email exchanges I was set to test drive a new Prius after work. When I arrived the staff did an excellent job of greeting me and making sure my questions answered. I did not feel pressured to make a purchase. I was able to leave discuss it with my wife and come back the next day to make my finally choice. They had a good variety of cars I was looking for and Brenda was very helpful each time I called or emailed with a question.

Misrepresentation, changing the deal, and threats.
Recently my daughter asked my assistance in purchasing a new car for her. She looked forward to an enjoyable experience selecting and purchasing a new car for the first time. It turned out to be the opposite. We initially contacted several Toyota dealers in the area and were told that the car she wanted would be hard to find and would take a few weeks at best. When checking the website of Toyota of Murfreesboro, one was listed on their website as on their lot. I called a salesman who confirmed it was there and we began making a deal. Later that same day I was notified that that car was not actually there, but they could get one in a few days at the same price we agreed upon. Even after I questioned how they could get one when other dealerships indicated they could not, I was assured they could. We agreed and then began to wait for the car to arrive. And waited. And waited. Over the next four to five weeks we were advised repeatedly that the car would arrive any day. Many phone contacts took place and we were assured it was only going to be a few days. Finally, on a Saturday, we were advised the car had arrived at a sister dealership and they would get it to us on Monday or Tuesday. My daughter signed the paperwork that same day and made a $2000 payment on the car. And waited. And waited. Based upon the assurance that the car was on the lot of another dealer only a short distance away and would be brought to Toyota of Murfreesboro in one or two days, my daughter sold her car to a friend who needed it. She could do without a car for a couple of days. We were then told that the car had not actually been delivered but was still in transit, but would only be a few more days. After another two weeks of many calls and complaints, the dealership agreed to loan my daughter a car until the one promised came in. I felt it was the least they could do. After still another two weeks, we were notified that the car was not going to be delivered to the dealership and had actually been cancelled by Toyota. Throughout this two and a half month period we were promised many times that they could provide the car in only a few days. My daughter was pulling her hair out by this time and was in tears due to this most difficult experience. We felt we were mislead on multiple occasions. The dealership indicated they would continue to try to find a car meeting her specifications and that there was one possibility. After another week, they did finally locate one and retrieved it. Finally, the frustration was nearing an end. We thought.On the morning we were to go pick up the car and return the loaner, we received a call from the salesman indicating that he would deliver it to my daughter that morning so they would not have to wait till she was off work that evening to trade cars. The salesman stated they had sold the loaner car she was driving, (apparently sight unseen) and needed it earlier. Even though it was difficult for my daughter to take time from her work duties as a physical therapist, she agreed to accommodate them. This was arranged and I confirmed that the numbers on the paperwork had not changed. About an hour later, I received a call from a manager indicating they could not honor those numbers because the long delay in delivering the car had resulted in the interest rate from Toyota going up. I reminded them that my daughter signed the papers (with stated interest rate) based upon their assurances , even selling her car, and that she should not have to pay more because they could not honor their promises. My suggestion was for them to discount the car a little more to compensate for the increased rate. An hour after that, I received a call from a person who identified himself as the dealership owner. He had also identified himself on a previous visit to the showroom as the owner but I was told by an office manager that he was actually the dealership manager. Who knows? His name was Andy Obeissy. Andy indicated that they were already taking a loss on the vehicle and that my daughter would have to pay more to get the vehicle. I asked him how much more would it be and he gave me an amount. I talked to my daughter who was very unhappy at this point but was considering paying a little extra to just get it over with. When I returned Andys call to further discuss it with him, he indicated that the amount he had previously indicated was not correct and that it was even more. He indicated that if my daughter did not pay the extra, then he would just cancel the deal and he would come get the loaner back. Of course, that would leave her having invested over two months of energy, frustration, and emotional distress and still have no car to drive. My daughter was in tears. Further discussion with Andy resulted in him becoming belligerent and screaming over the phone. I asked him to calm down so we could discuss this rationally and try to work out something satisfactory to both. I even suggested that we split the difference in the increased cost and he refused, yelling that he was already losing money on the deal. He said he would just come pick up the loaner. I reminded him that the loaner car was provided until her car was delivered. He became louder and threatening. He yelled that he would call the police and report the car as stolen, even though it was not true. In desperation, my daughter finally agreed to pay the extra amount just to bring the ordeal to a close. Finally finished. Or was it?Fast forward a month. Temporary tags had been provided by the dealership as agreed. They were to apply for a license tag and send it to my daughter. A few days before the temporary tag was to expire, the dealership was contacted and they acknowledged that they had not sent the tags but would do so. A few days later they did show up. However, they were for a different county, which is not acceptable in Tennessee. A call to the dealership pointing out the problem resulted in my daughter being told that she would have to go to her local county office and pay for tags in her county. Even though tags were a part of the original deal, my daughter will now have to pay for them in order to be legal. The dealership was unwilling to assist with this in any way. They only stated that that was the way they did it. Subsequently, I decided to read some reviews and found that our experience was not all that unusual. I wish I had checked the reviews before considering buying a car from them. I have purchased many new cars from many dealerships, both in Tenn. and in other states. Never have I been treated so disrespectfully. I will never consider purchasing another car from Toyota of Murfreesboro nor consider going there for any service. I do not see how a dealership can stay in business with this type of performance and treatment of customers. I can only describe our experience as filled with misrepresentation and verbal accosting. I suggest anyone considering dealing with this dealership do so with their eyes open. I feel like I failed my daughter in trying to help her have an enjoyable experience purchasing her first new car.Embarrassed dad.

Purchase of New 2014 Toyota Highlander
Buying a car is not always a fun task, however my sales assistant Mohammad Al Kaissi made my experience more than fun. He was very knowledgeable and quite the optimist when it came time to crunch numbers. We laughed constantly. I even came back the next day so he could teach me all about the bells and whistles that came with my Highlander and he was very happy to do. He introduced me to the Manager Tosh who was fabulous. He introduced me to the Owner who was also quite a gentleman. Loved everyone I met at this dealership. I can't go without mentioning the cashier in the service department that day who went way above and beyond when she offered me a piece of fruit from her very own lunch that day as I hadn't eaten and my blood sugar had dropped.
Service department SLOWEST ever
I have a Toyota with the first 25,000 of routine maintenance covered by Toyota. I had a 9:00 appointment for a routine oil change and tire rotation. Got my car back at 11:30. 2-1/2 hours for basic service with an appointment. After the first hour, I went up to check with the desk on the status, and the clerk was sharing a cat video with another woman in the office, and told me she'd check. Never received an update until my car was done. Seriously, no wonder they can't get any work done in a timely manner. I'll pay Valvoline to change my oil in the future. The get you in and out in 20 minutes or less. It's worth it not to waste an extra 2 hours of my time sitting in an garage style waiting room.
I was looking at buying a new highlander and had been to multiple toyota dealerships in this area, in middle TN. I was impressed with the ease of purchase and transparency shown at this dealership, i was guided by Blake Poteat, who excelled at his job, and bought the vehicle at what was a very competitive price, and most of all i was impressed with how transparent the whole process was. This is the smoothest experience in buying a car that i have had in the last 15 years, The outside of the dealership compared to beaman toyota and coolsprings toyota, may not be that impressive, but these guys strive to excel with their service, and that is what counts in a new vehicle. Worst new car buying experience ever!
We purchased a new 2014 Tacoma SR5 Prerunner from Toyota of Murfreesboro on 3/29/14. The salesman, Jonathan D. was pleasant and friendly. After completing all the paperwork and being told several times that we would receive a survey by email and to make sure everything was marked excellent, we drove home to Tullahoma. While driving home we noticed some noise in the cab (droning) and felt vibrations in the seat, floorboard, steering wheel and door panel, the whole interior. It occurs around 45 mph and again (worse) around 75 mph. I also found deep scratches on the exterior of the drivers side access cab window, looked like gouges from scraping a decal off.I called the dealer the next morning and was told to bring it in Monday. I returned Monday 3/31/14 and was told the tire pressure was low and a replacement window had been ordered. Diving it home was evidence that the low tire pressure had not resolved the vibration. I called the dealer on the way home and they told me to bring it back the following day. I was unable to return on Tuesday so we dropped it off on Wed 4/2/14. The Technician told me the the tires were a little out of balance and it took care of the vibration, it did not... I jumped on to 24 East and felt the same vibrations. I turned around and returned the truck to the service dept. They kept it overnight and road force balanced the tires the following day. This had no effect on the vibrations. It was too late to turn around, we had an appointment to get to. I called the dealership on the way home and informed the service dept we would be returning with the truck. Julie also emailed Andy Obeissey, the GM and owner of Toyota of Murfreesboro. He did call Julie back and promised to personally make things right. We took the truck back to the dealer on Friday 4/4/14 early am. About mid day a tech asked me to visit the dealer, which I did. He said they couldn't find anything wrong with the Tacoma, but added that he did feel the vibration. He let me test drive 2 more 2014 Tacoma trucks similarly equipped as ours. They both had the same annoying vibrations, one of them was much worse! I left the Tacoma there over the weekend so the Tech could try swapping the wheels and tires (different style/size wheel and tire manufacturer) on Saturday. He called and said the tire/wheel swap had no effect and suggested it was a drive line issue. At this point we are getting really frustrated.. We met with Andy Obeissey in person. He assured us that hings would taken care of, he would make it right.. he even said he would fill up the tank for our trouble and cost of driving back and forth from Tullahoma.. Never got the fill up, even after reminding Mike about Andy's promise, it was on empty when I picked up the truck.. Mike and Andy had already left. Before I walked out the door, one of the salesmen told me he had the same problem with his Tacoma. He told me that Tacoma's hold their value and to drive it for a year and sell it, "you probably won't lose more that a couple/three grand". At this point I called Toyota customer service and started a claim. The window was finally replaced, but they scratched the door and had to do some touch up work. So the truck had to stay overnight again. When I picked up the truck is was filthy, except for the area they worked on. There was cutting/polishing compound all around the door jam and fine dust from the compound all over everything in the cab. Getting back to the vibration.. It's still there after more visits and visit from a Toyota field technician (John Holton). John told Julie in a conversation that the vibration is a characteristic of the Tacoma, but the documentation he gave her states that nothing was found and the truck has no issues. We are filing a lemon law claim. Will never buy another toyota product. Have had new Mitsubishi, KIA, Dodge and VW, all were better products and the dealers were excellent. So disappointed with Toyota products & customer service.

Our sales rep, Jonathan DeBerry was an excellent representative for Toyota. He helped us through a couple of minor hiccups that made the whole process uneventful. Even though the type of vehicle that we wanted wasn't on the lot, he acquired one for us and it was exactly as we ordered. Overall, a very good experience.

Great Service, Very Helpful
My Salesman, Steve Woodard was very nice and helpful and so was the other staff. He was not your typical pushy salesman and I liked that. He answered all my questions and let me make up my own mind. It was great because I got to take home my new car that day and Toyota of Murfreesboro and Steve stayed with me until 11:30 p.m. on a Saturday night until the paperwork was completed. Thanks again.

Recently, my fiancee and I purchased a car from Toyota Scion of Murfreesboro and we had a wonderful experience. Marty Goodbread was our sales person and you honestly cannot get a better sales person. He was knowledgeable, fair, clear, and a pleasure to work with! He is an asset to Toyota of Murfreesboro. He says he "comes with the car" and I truly feel that he does, I hope to refer a lot of business to him. The finance manager, John Lennon, was great to work with as well. Very straightforward, no pressure and informative. He's also a credit to Toyota of Murfreesboro. Between Marty and John, they made our experience what every car buying experience should be - easy, painless, and actually able to leave happy within a quick time-frame. Unfortunately, we cannot say the same for other local dealers - my fiancee had gotten a prius at Beaman Toyota a couple years earlier and did not have a good experience. We went to Toyota of Cool Springs a couple weeks ago and had a HORRIBLE experience. Do not go there - we received the typical sales grime. The sales person insulted my fiancee multiple times and they said they couldn't find what we wanted for 6-8 weeks! Marty found what we wanted in 2 days and had the car ready to purchase within 5 days! Just bought a brand new 2013 Scion xB
I have to say, in the past two years we have bought several cars because we could not find the one that was best for us. We were looking online at several different cars and came accross the Scion xB. We decided that we would go to the dealership and take a look because a friend had referred us to this dealership. We were greeted about 30 seconds after stepping out of our vehicle by Ralph Matchok. He was not pushy at all. He made us feel very comfortable and showed us everything we asked. I would for sure recommend Ralph to all of our friends. I also want to say thank you to the sales manager and the finance manager. They were all so amazing. We were there getting everything done about an hour after close and never once felt rushed at all. This is been the most amazing car buying experience I have ever had. I really hope that the service department can be the same way once it comes time to get our oil changed and maintenance. We will for sure be Toyota of Murfreesboro customers for life.
2014 Tundra Double
Recently purchased a 2014 Bronze Tundra Double Cab Limited. I worked with Chris Ray and Tom to have it special ordered, as exactly what I wanted was not available on their lot or even remotely close to that dealer. Negotiation for the purchase of the Truck as well as the trade of my current vehicle was pretty straight forward. I did the usual due diligence through online sites to price out the estimated price people are paying for that vehicle with the options I wanted as well as what to expect for my trade. I then dropped my offer to the lower end of the spectrum. There wasn't really any back and forth for the negotiations. They told me what they could do and I accepted based upon the information I had and budget. I was really pleased with the whole buying process. During the order/build process, Chris and Tom kept me informed as to the vehicles status. I also coordinated for some additional extras to be purchased with the vehicle and have it all delivered once the vehicle arrived. Needless to say, approximately 7 weeks after special ordering my new truck; I know how probably one of the most unique Tundras available. I am very pleased with my purchase and dealing with Toyota of Murfreesboro. I would recommend purchasing a car from them if you are in the market.

Everyone was very helpful - starting with the Corolla that was brought into the collision center and ending with the purchase of a new car. Ralph Matchok was a good salesman to work with. I am inexperienced with buying cars and he did a good job with helping me to feel comfortable with my decision.

After months of research and searching I finally found and purchased my 2014 4Runner Trail edition. To say this particular model is difficult to find is an understatement. Once I did find it however, Darren Douglas and the rest of the staff at Toyota of Murfreesboro made the purchase easy. I received a deal that was equitable for both myself and the dealer and was able to drive home the truck I had searched high and low for.
